You get the charges from map completions and daily quests and they are also available from the gem store.
You can put the armor in your bank for another character to pick up. It will also unlock for all your characters in your wardrobe once you use it but you will need the transmutation charges to apply it to additional characters.
Blu is currently streaming and playing it with devs watching.
I just imagined Blu talking as fast as he does but in Chinese and my mind asploded xD
No, you can see all the sets here:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dye#By_Set
Hrmm, interesting – a new set incoming?
The specialty dyes like the Enameled and Molten dyes? No, those can only be obtained from the limited time dye packs sold on the gem store. They can be traded however so check the trading post for players that are selling them.
I would love another dragon pet!

I don’t know anything besides “content’s on hold until the China release is done.”
Pre-order players will start in 3 days on May 1st and the game opens on May 15th. Almost there!
Go to any major city and there is a new NPC called the Black Lion Armor Trader near the Trading Post. Just talk to him and he will convert your costume items to gear skins or tonics.
It was a Wolf rank reward before they put in the PvP Reward Tracks. If you had it before the Feature Pack you can use it from your Wardrobe, but at this time there is no way to obtain it if you did not get it before.
They have said they may bring it back for a Reward Track in the future.
You’ve either had a run of bad luck or possibly outleveled the chests? The supply on the trading post is fairly unchanged.
They’ve been discussing this change since December. There is no PvP equipment now so of course PvP skins would not be in those achievement chests.
You can stay on top of changes by checking the newsfeed here:

You might have better luck in the guild recruitment forum
If you mean raids in comparison with some other MMOs, then no.
Not even close.
Actually, what GW2 offers is closer to classic raiding than those 10 or 25 man contents which are nothing more than glorified dungeons.
I really enjoyed the Marionette encounter, hope we get more like that
Why yes, we do
They’ve been adding raids into the Living Story, the most recent was in the last chapter: The Scarlet Hologram encounter.
TIL Colin plays on SBI
Very pleased with the Megaserver rollout. I understand some players are having trouble with getting their groups together for Guild Missions but I have not run into this yet.
It’s wonderful seeing zones that had gone quiet now bustling with players. Good job and excellent way to future proof the game as new areas are unlocked
So much for ‘playing the way you want’ as described upon GW2’s release.
I’d like to get legendaries by dancing on top of a light post in Queensdale. I don’t imagine that will happen either
…They opened up MoD (i think that’s the name) and pulled active players from every server. This in regards to WvW just about gave a new and full of active players server the win in the WvW tournament.
Darkhaven is still considered close to being full, however we only have about 40% active players.
Darkhaven has 170 WvW guilds which puts them in about the middle of the pack. They are performing very well within their league, currently holding 3rd place out of 9.
I think of Flexible guilds like extended friends lists, great for grouping for specific activities (Dungeon running, World boss slaying, special events, etc.)
A very unique concept in this game, nice to have the flexibility to join up to 5 guilds.
I mean, how do I KNOW I have fully experienced a zone? By simply wandering around until I stop seeing events I haven’t already done at least once?
You’re going to need to leave that checkbox thinking behind
What I suggest is after a Heart leads you into an area, look for indicators of events. Talk to named NPCs, respond to the ones calling to you. After completing an event stick around a moment and see if it chains into another. The event chains start off fairly simply at low levels and start to chain and web as you get to higher levels. Some will open hidden areas and dungeons like the Flame Temple Tombs.

Here’s a video that illustrates how it works in a low level zone:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CyqGJHTjes
Also, it’s more about seeing the open world in different states when you pass through an area again. For instance there’s a tree in Caledon Forest that can climb for a jumping puzzle. But depending on when you go there, the tree can be thriving and growing, or completely destroyed so that you cannot access the puzzle. You then “fight” for the tree by completing events to restore it to it’s “success state”.
The entire time I’ve been in the zone, it’s been on the phase “The dredge have been pushed back to Tribulation Rift.” I’ve done bits and pieces of the rest….
I think because of the new ‘mega’ server you’re getting the ‘bad’ end of the stick.
Because there’s too many people on the maps, the events aren’t being allowed to happen which would lead to the enemy taking key places that you then have to push back. The same is happening in Kessex Hills (and probably many other places). Not only that but also because of the not-so-mega servers you’ll now be missing out on a lot of the final (and other earlier) parts to some of these events and missing out on the boss fights they may have. That will lead to a lot less EXP per map.
It’s much more likely that he ran only 5 of the 16 maps available at his level.
OP seems unhappy that the game doesn’t tell him EXACTLY what to do at every turn to get levelled. He seems to think it is the target that matters, and that there should be a finite path, and a pre-determined start, path and finish.
This game does not work like that. On my new account I just hit 55 and so far haven’t completed any other maps than Queensdale, Kessex, Gendarren, Fields of Ruin and Brisban, plus the cities. The content to level is there, in spades. You just have to have the patience to find and complete it.
I never implied that I wanted my hand held and I wanted to be told what to do. What I did say is that I enjoy leveling by progressing through a zone to the tune of a coherent story. Actually, “the target is all that matters” is the exact opposite of what I think. I quite enjoy the journey and immersion.
What I don’t particularly enjoy is having to jump all over the place to progress is all. And I have to learn to deal with that if I’m going to play this game.
From everything I have learned playing MMOs, there is quite the spectrum from hand holding on one end to aimless wandering on the other.
The vast lore of this game spans many zones and includes a huge amount of stories. You can choose just to stay in the snowy areas if you like but the more zones you expose yourself to, the more you will see how it all ties together.
CoF and SE are the best places to get the cores which you can upgrade to lodestones. Some lodestones will drop from there as well as from Fractals and Orrian Jewelry Boxes
Out of curiosity, which zones have you been in? Caledon Forest has 3 jumping puzzles, for example. (Or is it 4?) Each has a chest reward and an achievement associated with it.
I’ve 100% map completed Wayfarer Foothills, Snowden Drifts, Diessa Plateau, Lornar’s Pass, and now Dredgehaunt Cliffs.
Ah, I see your problem. You’ve skipped Caledon Forest, Metrica Province, Plains of Ashford, Queensdale, Brisban Wildlands, Diessa Plateau, Kessex Hills, Gendarran Fields, Fields of Ruin and Harathi Hinterlands.
The game is not linear, it does not lead you from zone to zone like old school MMOs do, it encourages exploration. You can talk to the Scouts in each zone (the NPCs with the telescope icon over their head) to get some of the story of the zone, playing through the dynamic events and event chains there gives you the rest.
I think most players only hit around 40% map completion by the time they are 80. There is plenty of leveling content
Yes. You can earn Tomes of Knowledge through the PvP reward tracks.
I think they are worth it since I love the animations
I always feel so plain on my alts if I don’t remember to equip them over from my main.
animations are one thing but you can never argue that the cost will even out
Not even a factor for me, I don’t look at it from a gold gained or lost PoV. Saving one bag slot is such a minor whoopdedoo – it’s all about the animations, nothing beats mining with fire!

There are many ways to get leveling xp in this game, in fact just about everything you do gives xp! Here’s the wiki article which lists the different ways along with xp modifiers you can use.
Quick fact – Did you know that if you join squad on the commander you are following that you won’t see the other tags?
I was at the Claw of Jormag spawn point one day with a bunch of other players, waiting for the event to start. Some guy starting just going OFF in map chat, thought he found himself an audience for his bad behavior. We report the guy and continue waiting.
Then I see a small asura with an ANet tag come up the hill behind the tents. He stands there and listens for a minute and poof – just like that the verbal abuser was gone.
Love how ArenaNet attends to these matters
Very pleased with the recent changes, thanks!

My main problem with GW2 is the lack of content.
It’s been a year and a half since release and we’re essentially playing the exact same game.
Does LS not count as content? Sure it’s only temporary, however I found that the LS updates every 2 weeks seemed like more content overall, compared with any other mmos. Also what about Teqautl, Triple Wurm, EOTM, and pvp revamp? Pretty sure these are fairly large bits of content added, on top of LS.
Don’t forget Fractals, Guild Missions, new jumping puzzles and PvP maps
Here is a good searchable tool for food buffs. Just pick the buff you want from the drop down list, can also sort it by level.

Have you checked all your accessories, weapons and backpiece as well?
Right now the only PvP only skin you can acquire is the Balthazar backpiece. They’ve said they will introduce other PvP exclusive skins into the reward tracks later.
Just remembe, if you ever decide to come back, all you have to do is step through the portal and you’re there, in a magical land of glory, victory, and triumph.
glhf~~!
A sigil and rune unlock feature.
Quite the opposite. Since Megaservers were implemented 4 more US servers and 1 EU server tipped over from High to Very High. With China launching next week, you can expect millions more players.
In the words of the immortal Logan Thackery, “It’s not dead yet. Brace yourselves, I think it’s going to explode!”
If server populations were such a problem, why didn’t they just bite the bullet and do server merges?
I know that’s a DIRTY WORD in MMO-land, but honestly the megaservers are killing the game in a way that server merges could never hope to do. Nobody wants to play a game where tagging mobs is impossible, where doing guild missions is like waiting in the queue at the post office, and where I hear nothing but hate speech because someone dared to type to map chat in a language that isn’t english
It wasn’t a server populations problem, it was a map population issue. Some maps just didn’t get that much traffic.
It’s also a way of future proofing the game for when they open new zones this year and the older ones will naturally have less traffic.
For the record I’m loving Megaserver tech. Needs a couple tweaks but it’s a very good change to see a city like Hoelbrak be a bustling metropolis.

I would love a shared bag between my characters where I could store account bound armor, weapons, gathering tools and toys.
I don’t think Mail is a good idea though.
Sometimes it’s related to the operating system of the user, such as something that works fine on most machines will have a bug on a particular OS.
Computers – can’t live with ‘em, can’t live without ’em.
Can’t go wrong with bank tabs
You can always get bigger bags so bag slots not so much. You can get more bank space with a private guild bank but that will only hold items that are not soul- or account-bound.
After that get whatever you like. I like to collect the skins and musical instruments myself.
OP, first you have to tease out which posters are players with legitimate concerns and which ones are those with an agenda.
I read quite a few game forums and it’s pretty clear who that second group of forum posters are, in fact they often copy their rants word for word from one forum to another. They were the ones bashing on the game since before it launched and they are the ones here that post on each and every little bit of negative thread they can find, that will post negative stuff on positive threads, that are all over the ’this game needs mounts" and “no trinity sucks!” and “subscription games are teh betterz!” type threads.
They’ve been predicting death of the game since The Great Butter Crisis of 2012, that MoP would kill it, then when that didn’t happen FFXIV would kill it, then when that didn’t happen that ESO would kill it, etc.
The more successful the game is, the greater their distress grows, they double their efforts with the negative forum marketing posts. There is no appeasing them, they do not want to be satisfied or happy, they are not part of this community in any way, they serve a different master.
