If the twitter feed was ON THEIR PAGE maybe more people would see these things.
I don’t twitter and I never will. I follow their page on the official site. CROSS POST these things. Dangit
There’s an even longer video on the official news page (and also linked from the client)

I think that some of you are missing one important distinction
“To unlock an episode and have it added to your story Journal, you simply need to log in to the game during the two-week period that the release is live to be given permanent, free access to the storyline of that episode……With this addition to the story Journal, content from Living World episodes will be a mix of new story steps and open world content.”
The payment option (for players who failed to login in time) is for the storyline, not the open world content. So regardless of whether you missed an episode or not, everybody (new players, old players, casual players) will be getting the permanent ‘Open World’ content for free.
Open World Content : New Maps (e.g. Southsun), New Dungeon Paths (e.g. Aetherpath), New Dungeons (e.g. Fractals)
Living Story Journal : Storyline instances akin to the Personal Story
In the context of Season 1, and the ‘Lost Shores’ event that introduced Southsun, I imagine the release ‘might’ have looked something like this.
Open World Permanent Content
Additions to the core game and map. Free for all regardless of whether they log in or not
- Southsun Cove Map (DE’s, JP’s, crafting resources etc) [Gated during release period to make sense with the storyline, and then unlocked for all afterwards]
- Fractals of the Mists Dungeon [Gated during release period to make sense with the storyline, and then unlocked for all afterwards]
- Temple of the Silent Storm (PVP Map)
Storyline Content
Free for people that log in during the release, 200 gems for those that don’t (but want to play)
- Defend LA (Instanced Storyline Mission) [On completion, opens access to Fractals during the release period]
- Drive Karka from Morgans’ Spiral (Instanced Storyline Mission)
- Drive Karka from Garenhoff’s Harbour (Instanced Storyline Mission)
- LA Scavenger Hunt (Instanced Storyline Mission)
- Miyani’s Scavenger Hunt (Multi-Instanced Storyline Mission)
- Retake LA (Instanced Storyline Mission) [On completion, opens access to Southsun during the release period]
- Defeat the Ancient Karka (Instanced Storyline Boss Mission)
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
Jarvis, it is going to be impossible to get 600 tickets, regardless of how long you have left.
The tickets are awarded based on how well your server has done, and the three servers that finish first place only get awarded 500 tickets. 2nd place get 450, 3rd 400, then 350, 300, 275, 250, 225, 200 as you work your way down the positions.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/get-ready-for-wvw-spring-tournament-2014/
If you’re in the Gold bracket NA, then first place is up for grabs between a few different servers. If you’re on Silver or Bronze then it’s ‘looking’ like you’d need to be on Henge of Denravi (silver) or Gate of Madness (bronze) in order to get 500 tickets. If you’re on EU 1st place pretty much ‘looks’ decided as Seafarer’s Rest (gold), Gandara (silver) and Dzagonur [DE] (bronze).

As for whether or not there’s time, I think there is. I’m attempting it myself and after a couple of sessions I’m confident that I have time to make it. I reckon you do too.

I think it would be great if the coloured bags could be used to make a ‘special’ patchwork bag.
e.g.
20 slot patchwork bag : Random rare and exotic drops will fall out of small holes between the patches.

blah blah … but content only counts if I say it does … blah blah … fanboy … blah blah … I don’t even play … blah blah … yawn
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
There has been plenty of permanent ‘relevant’ content added for free since the game stopped being a Beta and was released. You just seem to be concentrating on what hasn’t been added and conveniently ignore everything that HAS been.
New Permanent Zone: Southsun Cove
New Permanent World Bosses : Karka Queen & Evolved Jungle Worm
New Permanent Weapons : Multiple weapons including some that are Gem Store, some that are crafted, some that are forged, some from achievements
New Permanent Armour : Multiple armours including some that are Gem Store, some that are crafted, some that are forged, some from achievements
New Permanent Dungeon : Fractals of the Mists
New Permanent Mini-Games : Belchers Bluff, Costume Brawl, Crab Toss, Sanctum Sprint, Southsun Survival
New Permanent Traits : 5 grandmasters per class
New Permanent Skills : 1 new healing per class & 1 healing for any class
New Permanent Pet : Reef Drake
New Permanent Mobs : Karka
New Permanent WvW Map : Edge of the Mists
New Permanent WvW Features : WvW Mastery Abilities
New Permanent PvP Arenas : Temple of the Silent Storm, Spirit Watch, Skyhammer
New Permanent PvP Features : Reward Tracks
New Permanent Features : Skin Locker
Other stuff I’ve no doubt forgotten to add.
Plus there has been LOADS of temporary content added frequently throughout the last year and a half.

You can complain about nothing new being added all you like, but it’s not actually true.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
Vespero,
Did you actually read that wiki page? Because with exception of Dueling and a comment that was specific to things that wont happen in 2013 (which is no longer relevant, being 2014) it’s all still there.
- Housing and Guild Hall were listed in the ‘mentioned’ section in Jan and are still listed in the same section
- New weapon types and new profession weapons were listed in the ‘mentioned’ section in Jan and are still listed in the same section
- New sPVP map types and objectives were previously listed in ‘mentioned’ and are still listed, but the objectives was moved to the ‘cdi’ section suggesting it’s coming up.
- More variations to creatures is still listed in ‘mentioned’, as it was before.
- Dueling, actually seems to have been removed.
- New regions and dragons, not during 2013 is irrelevant because it’s 2014
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
It would be more complicated from a technical standpoint (then crafting) because it usually needs to decide on a random outcome (unlike crafting). They’d need to loop the process to prevent you getting the same item each time. Still not overly complex though I guess, but it’s not just a simple replication of existing code.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
I’d love this too and suggested something similar in the BLC forum.
It’s a shame that nobody bothered to post in my thread, but it shows how much of a minority the players who would actually want to unlearn the traits on existing character are
I think there ‘would’ be a market for it, but not large enough to justify a trainer option, a consumable would be safer from a customer service point of view.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
I was hoping that they’d create a consumable to let us forget our traits (for characters created before the patch), but based on the lack of any responses to the thread, assume that I’m in a minority.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/bltc/Request-Consumable-to-forget-traits
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
They did add that, they just didn’t add it for existing characters to avoid the backlash that would have occurred if they took away every trait and made us all do missions for them.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
I guess some of you might find this a strange request, and I’m sure that the vast majority of the player-base wouldn’t want this at all, but I think it would be really nice to have a consumable that would let me forget my traits.
I say this because the one thing that I like about the new trait system changes, is the little quest/treasure hunt to actually get the books required to add new traits to my character. I think it’s a great nod back to the GW1 skill system, and I would really like to experience it.
However as I already have my current character slots filled, and I don’t really want to delete any of my existing characters. This means that I’m only likely to get to experience the new trait collecting system if I buy an additional character slot to get the chance to play it, which I’m unlikely to do until a new race comes out.
Something like a ‘Potion of Forgetfulness’ would be great, you take it and it warns you that you will forget your traits and be forced to hunt them down (or buy the books) in order to learn them again. You then confirm that you want to forget your traits, and they get reset to the status that a new character would have.
You could perhaps release the potions on the Gem store with a special offer initially allowing us to get up to 5 of them for free (one for each default character slot), and then sell them for a nominal fee for resets beyond the default 5, or resets after this initial trial period.
The reason I suggest the Gem store is that a player needs to be REALLY sure that they would want something like this, and those that do would probably be prepared to pay gems for it. I’d avoid putting them in BLC though, because players might be a bit irritated to get an item that they’d never consider using in the BLC.
However, a subset of players (like me) would be really happy to reset our traits and go without them for a little while, so that we can go out into the world to re-capture them. Another subset would probably be happy with the option of paying gems to reset them ‘again’ after capturing them so they can repeat the process.
You could perhaps also include an achievement track for capturing the traits in the wild (not buying them and not getting them free because you have an existing character), but that’s less important to me than having the ability to experience this system without needing to delete my characters.
TL:DR
I’d like a consumable (gem store would be best) that will allow me forget all my traits. This would let me experience the new GW1-like system, without deleting one of my characters or buying a new character slot.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
You can enjoy your might rune. As a condition ranger, I’m quite liking my nice cheap, easy to craft Krait runes.
+175 condition damage
+45% bleed duration
1 in 4 hits on me (every 15 seconds), get 10 seconds of bleeding (assume that’s really 14.5 seconds)
8 seconds of AoE Bleed, Torment and Poison whenever I use an elite (presumably that’s 11.6 on the bleed)
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
Salvaging is one of the ways to unlock skins. So if you salvage something you unlock the skin in the wardrobe.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
I don’t really see how a thumbs down button (aka “add more negativity” button) would help reduce negativity. It would actually give players a whole new way to be negative, and would most likely have the inverse effect of what you’re wanting.
The nay-sayers who you are worried about choking the new builds, will still post that the new build sucks, and they will also click the thumbs down button. If you then turn up and put a thumbs down on their posts then all you’d be doing is adding more negativity to the thread.
You can never resolve negativity by adding more ways to be negative.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
A precursor is an item, rather than a skin. Anything that comes out of your wardrobe is just a skin and will not count towards mystic forge recipes which require items.
If you have a precursor ‘item’ in your bank you can right click on it while it’s in the bank and click Unlock skin. This will Accountbind the precursor (if it’s not already soulbound) so you wont be able to sell the precursor, but it will still be the original item and therefore should be usable in the forge.
Equipping it will unlock the skin in the wardrobe for use on other weapons. Those other weapons wont be precursors, but they will look like one.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
Your work around was to apply the runes to a non karma bit of equipment, and add the karma skin to make it look like karma gear even though it was actually the other gear with a karma skin.
You should still be able do that by purchasing a karma item, unlocking the skin, and then using the skin on a salvagable bit of equipment like before.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.

Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
I did start to sell my rares rather than salvage them during the end of Living story (around marionette onwards) because they never seemed to return any ectos.
Since the LS ended I’ve found that they seem to be salvaging much more again.
As we are seeing totally opposite effects, that would suggest that both of use were not seeing anything at all (other than randomness).
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
I always discover items for crafting and craft what I feel like based on the drops I get.
Going to these websites and just creating the same old stuff, is no fun at all.
For example, Chef-by-discovery is MUCH more fun that Chef-by-cheat-sheet.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
Personally I’d like to see a selection of Mystic Forge recipes that can be used to promote every single weapon, trinket and armour right through the rarity spectrum from basic white to legendary purple.
If you promote a weapon/armour etc via these recipes to Ascended you get to pick one of a small selection of minor particle effects to be added to the weapon.
If you promote a weapon/armour etc to Legendary, you get to pick from a larger selection of particle effects and colours, and also build custom footprints from a selection of inner shapes, outer shapes and colours.
That way any item in game can become Legendary and there would be infinite variety from a `Legendary Once-Was-White Rusty Sword` with rust coloured particle effects and footprints, all the way up through every skin in the game.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
It’s not just Queensdale champions that drop the 5 slot bags, I’m pretty sure it’s a standard reward from any of the starter area ‘Group Event’ champions, you just notice them more often in Queensdale because people farm the champions in that zone more often.
One dropped for me from the Flame Legion Shaman a couple of days ago, when I happened to be running through and decided to take him down, and he’s most certainly not in Queensdale.

Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
draxy,
I wanted to touch on your two refinements quickly in order to fully respond. But I’d rather not get hung up on adding (or removing) anything from the core components that I see as the base of the theory. These extras are what I previously referred to as ‘fluff’. I agree with you that you cannot disprove the theory, and also that I cannot prove it. At this point in time at least. I very much agree that it should not be taken as confirmed truth, but also think that it should not be presented – like many do – as confirmed false. It’s an unlikely, but feasibly possible theory, and should be referred to as such.
I’m not really sure why you feel that the tablet would not have been sufficient enough a factor to break free. I personally think it would be, but you’re right there could have been another factor. I don’t think that it’s a ‘requirement’ though.
I also agree that the pale tree (as a dragon champion) would not necessarily need to be a dragon. But I chose to believe it based on seeing a dragon-tree in the dream when I was a Sylvari. When in the dream the Sylvari looked the same as they do on Tyria, as did the fern hounds, as did the nightmare hounds. Logically if we agree that the dream is a real place, and that creature in the dream can be ‘born’ into Tyria. Then the tree-dragon must also be a real thing that could have been born to Tyria, and that other tree-dragons could exist that will be born. I think that it would be strange if the theory was proven out to be correct, if we didn’t come up against a tree-dragon, and based on how easy they were to put down in the dream, there’s no way it was an Elder dragon, therfore it’s more likely to be a minor dragon aka a Champion.
I think we can agree to disagree, at least until we get to the other Pale Tree. Although I can foresee others may still proverbially beat the dead horse and argue it to be true. If the story is not actively proven true, or heavily supported by storyline at that time I personally will stop believing it. If all three of my predictions are totally incorrect, the theory will not hold water in my mind.
This being said, the thing I’m interested to know from you, is why you feel that you ‘need’ to try and disprove the theory ahead of time. It seems largely pointless to put so much effort into something that you admit is impossible.
If the storyline IS twisted in this way it would be EPIC. Game news (online and offline) would report it as a huge and brave idea, and it would really make GW2 stand out. IMO it would be a storyline worthy of the GW1 world, with a lot of very interesting lore and storyline avenues.
If the storyline does turn out to be that the Sylvari DO have a minion connection with Mordremoth, will you think “Man this is crap, they’ve ruined the whole game with with twist”? or will you think “Holy crap I was wrong, but I’m glad to be wrong because this is cool”?
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
(edited by Kaz.5430)
I see that since my last visit to this thread it’s diverged to talk about corruption and immunity.
However this entire discussion doesn’t really have an relevance to whether or not Sylvari were created to be minions of Mordremoth, it just covers a single component of someone’s large complex theory.
If the Sylvari were intended as minions then this is what would be referred to as a plot twist. When you write a story you don’t provide huge amounts of information to give away a future plot twist, because then it’s not a plot twist. You do sometimes leave a few little hints that, if noticed, someone might predict the twist.
Someone (or some people) has seen these little hints, and it led them to an idea. They then went searching for other evidence to try and support the idea. The entire ‘debunking’ that’s going on is debunking the ‘other’ evidence, not the theory itself. It is possible to arrive at a correct assumption, even if the route you take to get there is totally wrong.
As it’s a plot twist, only time can deubunk the theory itself, and luckily it would seem that the storyline is going to head down the route required to prove or disprove the idea.
This is how I see it.
The pale trees are minor dragons linked to Mordremoth, much like the dragon in the Sylvari introduction. Basically a dragon with a tree on it’s back.
These dragons give birth to other creatures found in the dream (sylvari, fern hounds, nightmare hounds etc) which are connected to that dragon, which is in turn connected to Mordremoth.
The Pale Tree Sylvari have been born with a memory of the dream/nightmare, because the Pale tree chose for them to have that memory. The Sylvari from the other tree have been born without memory of the dream/nightmare because the dragon/tree they were born from has chosen to not give them that memory.
Probably because the Pale Tree has influenced the dream, and the other tree is still loyal to Mordremoth. It doesn’t want it’s children born with memories of fighting dragons.
The Pale Tree did so, because it is fighting its own connection to Mordremoth, and the dragon you fight in the opening sequence might even be the Pale Tree’s dragon side trying to reassert itself (although it could just as easily be another tree from the dream).
In order to keep it’s children from being influenced my Mordremoth (when he wakes up), the Pale Tree has also created a mental wall to help keep the Sylvari from being easily influenced, and eventually corrupted by Mordremoth when he wakes.
The Pale tree Sylvari are not ‘currently’ minions partly because Mordremoth had not awakened, and therefore was not asserting influence to make them his minions. Now he’s awake, the walls in the Sylvari’s mind will provide protections against his influence. These walls might also be the reason that Sylvari appear to be immune to the corruption of the other Dragons.
The other Sylvari don’t have these walls. However, when we met one, Mordremoth was still asleep and therefore not asserting influence over them. However now that he’s awake, this will change (assuming the theory is correct).
Forgetting about all the extra ideas that have been tagged on, this I would say is the core of the theory, and the part that is most likely to be correct. The rest is just fluff.
It’s going to be very easy to establish if it is correct, but that wont happen through the existing game because it’s a plot twist.
There are three simple things that are extremely likely to happen if the theory is correct, and now the LS is heading towards a Mordremoth arc, they will either occur (proving the theory) or not occur (disproving the theory).
They can only happen through expansion of the map however, so may or may not occur in phase 2 of the LS. It all comes down to how quickly ANet decide to release new maps allowing us to get closer to the other tree and eventually reach it. On reaching the other tree, the theory will be proved or disproved once and for all.
If these three things don’t happen, the theory is wrong.
1. Some Pale tree Sylvari will start to go a bit mad as Mordremoth tries to overcome the walls the Pale Tree created. These won’t be major NPC’s from the base game however, in order to not effect the personal story.
2. When we reach the other tree, the Sylvari will now be under the influence of Mordremoth (due to no walls protecting them). Therefore they will no longer be friendly, and will most likely act more like traditional minions. That doesn’t mean that they have to be mindless though.
3. Mordremoth’s Dragon champion will be a dragon with a tree on it’s back (like the opening instance for Sylvari). Chances are, the champion will be the other tree that we’ve learned about.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
This is going slightly off topic as it’s a lot more complex than just some new stat spreads, but in the long run would allow for all the stat possibilities and decent stat metrics for ANet.
I think you should add a craftable and tradeable item that can be used to change the stat combo on any weapon, armour or trinket, that includes the ability to set your own stats combinations.
You’d double-click the item and it would offer you to chose between existing prefixes and a custom prefix.
If you pick custom, you could chose any combination you wanted e.g. 1 stat, 4 stat, equal stats, negative stats etc etc, and then when you confirm the selection it will create an item that can be used to replace the previous stats on an item with those stats. This would account-bind the item once the stats have been selected
ANet could then monitor the custom stats being selected, and use those metrics to prioritise new stats combos based on actual usage.
I would make further sense for these items to be custom inscriptions, custom insignias and custom jewels.
Each could require a couple of new components that needs all of the original set of Fine crafting ingredients to create, along with a new chef-made ingredient (to give them some new useful recipes when everyone else is getting some).
Each of the weapon/armour professions could create a custom inscription/insignia/adorned jewel that can be used as part of a crafted item, or to change the stats on an existing item.
This would add additional functionality to inscription, insignias and adorned jewels enabling them to be used additionally to change stats of an existing weapon (account-binding the weapon in the process).
e.g.
Custom Inscriptionof the Weaponsmith
Level 80 (Exotic)
- Can be used by weaponsmiths to create tradeable exotic melee weapons with ability to select custom stats
- Can be used by anyone to change the previous inscription stats on any existing exotic melee weapon.
requires:
1 x Sub Item 1
recipe:
- 3 x Vicious Claws
- 3 x Armoured Scales
- 3 x Powerful Venom Sacs
- 3 x Vicious Fangs
1 x Sub Item 2
recipe:
- 3 x Vials of Powerful Blood
- 3 x Ancient Bones
- 3 x Elaborate Totems
- 3 x Globs of Ectoplasm
5 x Orichalcum Plated Dowels
1 x Exotic Chef-Made Item

True although the Gift of Battle isn’t a issue for me considering how many badges I got from all the achievement chests I have unlocked.. 11, 114 points so far so that’s 21 chests I think…
well more than enough Badges for Gift If I want it
Enough to ‘buy’ them, but you need the achieve the rank before the NPC will actually sell them to you. So yes you’d have the currency required without playing WvW, but not the ability to spend it.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
Bob, I was responding to the people assuming it was about Legendary weapons, and answering by stating that getting a Legendary should include WvW.
As I pointed out IF it was for a Legendary then it wouldn’t be an issue anyway.
As that’s the case, it’s only an issue for people who don’t want a Legendary, therefore, assuming the OP wants a Legendary is irrelevant, because if that was the case he’d also be complaining about the Gift of Battle.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
If it was for a legendary, then this wouldn’t really be an issue anyway. You need the Gift of Battle for a legendary weapon, and that requires you to reach a certain world rank to purchase anyway. If you’ve got to play WvW to obtain the Gift of Battle, then getting the POI’s shouldn’t be an issue.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
Using TinEye image search, the largest version of that image that comes up anywhere online is this one. Not sure if it’s just been stretched or if it’s a true high res version of the original, but you should be able to easily shrink it down from 4200px to 1600px wide for your background.

They didn’t say they were removing damage, just that repairs would be free. Being defeated will still damage and eventually break your equipment, and you’ll still have to travel to an NPC to fix it, you just wont pay for it. Repair canisters will have the same function that they currently have, they will repair damaged and broken armour without needing to travel to a repair NPC.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
draxxynic, as you’ve decided to divert the thread by claiming I’m being sensationalist I fear I must also divert the thread in order to reply to you.
The idea that the Sylvari nightmare was supposed to be a corrupting force that creates minions for Mordremoth, but was altered in some way by the Pale Tree to create the dream instead, is still a perfectly rational theory, which make a LOT of sense.
Where is this huge amount of evidence that blows the theory out of the water, that you so conveniently decide to just leave out of your post? If anything the recent storyline with Scarlet has added to weight to the theory not diminished it.
If anyone is being sensationalist here it’s you with your big claims of being correct without providing any evidence to back the assertion up, I am at least willing to refer to my speculation as an unproven theory, and not irrefutable fact.
I’m quite happy to be proven wrong in my belief that the Sylvari-as-minion theory is correct. But not based on a ‘because I say so’ argument. If you have masses of irrefutable evidence that the theory is incorrect – as you claim – then provide it.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
I think they should add a jumping puzzle that gets us out of the hall into a small area of the shiverpeaks with some unique monsters to kill. Everyone can get there, so it’s not as it it would be unfair to those that didn’t play Gw1
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
Yes… I know that the whole Sylvari as shielded minions of Mordremoth theory is still just a theory, and that the majority of players don’t believe it. But just because the majority don’t think it’s true, doesn’t make it so.
For the purposes of this thread, let’s assume it’s true.
So, the Sylvari are born in the dream, and every dream – at least that I’ve ever heard of – requires there to be a dreamer dreaming the dream. This dreamer also needs to be asleep, or at least not be fully fully alert and conscious.
Assuming that Mordremoth was the dreamer, what is going to happen now he’s awake?
Will the dream continue without a dreamer, or would Sylvari now stop being born?
Could we even see Sylvari removed and replaced as a playable race?
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
The idea that dragons can’t corrupt Sylvari is based around the dragons that were known prior to these events not this new Dragon.
Also I’m not sure that it necessarily that they ‘cant’ corrupt them, it might just be that they have not corrupted any at this time. I’m not aware of any scene where an Elder Dragon actually tries and then fails to corrupt one. I think we’ve just assumed this.
Even if Primordus, Jormag, Zhaitan and Kralkatorrik can’t corrupt Sylvari, that doesn’t mean that the same is true for Mordremoth who would have far more chance of corrupting plants. There is also still a theory that has yet to be shown untrue that the Sylvari are already minions but are being sheilded.
I think it’s a stretch to assume that there’s some ‘other’ other force out there.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
Talk about bad timing
Had you returned just ‘one’ day before you made your post, transfers were free to 8 of the NA servers. Now the WvW season has kicked off you just missed the offer.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
With regards to the suggestion about not being booted on load. The Terrace and Airship boot you out for a good reason; not all passes are unlimited. There are 2 week passes, and single use passes too. If it didn’t boot you out, people could leave characters in there beyond the duration of the pass that they have.
It’s far less overhead from a technical point of view to make you log in again and thus proving that you have a valid pass, then it is to constantly check that every character in the zone has a valid pass in their inventory.
The alternative would be to add a check to any interactable or NPC in the zones that will boot a player out if they are in there with an expired pass. With this in place, you could still leave a character in there after expiry, but it would be totally pointless because they couldn’t do anything in there.
This wouldn’t help with swapping a pass between characters though, because you’d need to be able to interact with the bank or crafting stations to get the pass.

Actually only Evon is still available of the 3 vendors. The other 2 vendors were in LA during the Escape from LA and in the refugee camps during Battle for LA. With the end of the LS, all vendors of the refugee camps got deleted but Evon got moved to vigil keep, which is still active as a home to nps formerly located in LA. So its either intended by Anet to remove the vendors of the station recipes (making the recipes seasonal) and its an oversight that Evon still sells the recipe, or they relocated the other 2 vendors, Urmaug and Ellyna. In that case, i would have a look around vigil keep.
Did you purchase Urmaugs recipe during escape/battle of LA or later?
And out of personal curiosity, why would you spend 5g on those recipes? it cost between 15-20g to craft a station…
Anyways, if you dont find Ellyna in Vigil Keep, i would post in the bug forum.
Urmaug is in the Lornar’s Pass camp and was selling the recipe when I spoke to him a day or two ago

I did read the entire post, I just wanted to point out that my Ranger running around with three Moa’s would be a bit over the top. IMO it would make more sense to implement your suggestion with the existing no-function mini pets than to add another type of pet.

Erm… we already have pet Moas that do stuff, and mini-pet Moa’s that don’t.

I think the game has been progressively making it harder and less worthwhile to bother with anything other than a main. These changes will make life so much better for players who play a lot of alts, and will make it so that people like me are more likely to put aside the main for a little while, and level up some of our level 20 birthday present collecting extra bag space alts

From my understanding of how the transmutation system works, only two items are actually recorded in the database at any time. One is the item that provides the stats, the other is the item that provides the skin.
e.g.
I have my Mad Memoires Complete Edition skin transmuted onto my Exotic tentacle backpack. When the wardrobe goes live, assuming I still have this item, I will get both skins. If I were to use a splitter on them, I would get both items.
However if I were to get another ascended back item, and then transmute the look of my Mad Memoires onto that item, then the Exotic tentacle backpack would no longer be a part of the item description, and therefore would be lost forever. If I were to use a splitter on them, then I would get the Mad Memoires and the Ascended backpack item.
It’s entirely `possible` that any skin that has been purchased via gems and any skin that has been awarded via LS meta achievements will automatically be unlocked because it’s theoretically possible to go back and track these.
But as nothing has been said about that, for now I would assume that the items in your wardrobe, will not include any items that you’ve deleted or transmuted over more than once, at all.

Now, I fully admit that I don’t understand some of you people. I sometimes get the impression that people are not really stepping back and looking at some of these ‘much better’ suggestions and just jumping on the band-wagon. Maybe I’m wrong, but it sometimes seems that some of you just seem to think that because it’s NOT what ArenaNet are doing, any alternative suggestion, whatever it may be, must somehow be better for you than What ANet plan.
I thought that I’d look at the two wardrobe scenarios, one being what ANet have announced, the other being what a lot of players are arguing would have been a far better and fairer system.
One other thing that needs to be taken into consideration is that in additional to the wardrobe we also get a new bank tab with 2000 skin spaces to ‘collect’.
Much like the miniatures and achievements a lot of the players who tend to be vocal on these forums will want to collect every single skin. I’m assuming that the glaring spaces of un-collected skins will have the exact same effect of ‘needing’ to all be filled. Right?
So lets look at the ‘better’ option that people keep suggesting in direct comparison with what’s been announced.
Choice 1
Each time you equip an item, accountbind an item or salvage an item it’s added to the collection for free, and you pay charges to transmute.
Choice 2
It costs 5 charges to ‘collect’ the item but you can then transmute for free whenever you like.
- Cost to collect all 2000 skins using choice 1 : 0 charges
- Cost to collect all 2000 skins using choice 2 : 10,000 charges
Most players are also not going to change looks ‘that’ often, with exception of a few roleplayers. Let’s say that over the course of a year you decide to change parts of your look 96 times (each armour piece and both weapons once per month).
- Cost to change your look using choice 1 : 96 charges
- Cost to change your look using choice 2 : 0 charges
Just to pop back to the first calculation, lets assume that your doing this monthly change because you’ve completed some content or purchased/been awarded some skins. Let’s say that 1/5th of those yearly changes are because of new skins that will require an unlock.
- Cost to change your look using choice 1 : 96 charges
- Cost to change your look using choice 2 : 96 charges
Lets say 50% of those yearly changes require an unlock
- Cost to change your look using choice 1 : 96 charges
- Cost to change your look using choice 2 : 240 charges
What about 100%?
- Cost to change your look using choice 1 : 96 charges
- Cost to change your look using choice 2 : 480 charges
For the most part choice 2 would probably make ArenaNet a hell of a lot more money out of gemstore purchases and would probably cost the average player a lot more.
This is based on the assumption that collectors probably vastly outnumber roleplayers and that collection sizes not only will continue to expend over time, but also vastly outnumber the number of changes a roleplayer would want to make to thier outfit.
Implementing choice 2 would have actually been a far more calculated profit making scenario on ANet’s behalf at the suggested `fairer` price being posted.

Easiest way I know of to get cloth and leather is to buy cheap low-rarity armour from the TP at whatever level salvages to the cloth (light armour) or leather (medium armour) that you need.
For example, if you want Coarse Leather Sections, you salvage medium armour with a level rating between 31 and 50. Occasionally you’ll end up with Thin Leather (generally salvages from 16-33) or Rugged Leather (generally from 46-63) so medium armour between level 34 and 45 is your best bet.
There are also various straps and hides that would salvage down into the leather you’re after, or garments and rags that salvage for the cloth.
If you grab blues or greens, you can also increase your account luck while your at it, by whites are your bet bet for cheap materials because people havn’t pushed the prices up quite so far trying for luck.

I’m confused, Engineers and Elementalists both have two handed weapons, so they are getting the same boost that everyone who uses a two handed weapons is getting.
Previously there were situations (e.g. staff or rifle) where an engineer or Elementalist previously had access to just 1 sigil, and others could have had 4 active if they picked them right.
This change means that everyone now gets 2 sigils at a time. Not 4, because once you swap weapons you don’t still get the effects of the 2 sigils you swapped out. All your losing out on now are the on-swap sigils, and you lost out on them before anyway.
In any other situation you’re either in the exact same spot as before, or have just gained an extra sigil like everyone else.

Trahearne might not even be on our side against Mordremoth, if the Sylvari are Modremoth’s minions, things could change and give players a reason to truly hate Trehearne
