See, there’s a million things in this game gated behind content some people don’t like doing, or can’t and not just due to some physical impairment as the OP is referring to .. where do you draw the line?

I’d be appalled if you could, there’s far worse things people do in this game than that which aren’t reportable.
Yes, posting a spoiler is a jerk move, but frankly if anyone really, really doesn’t want to get spoiled they shouldn’t be using the Internet, watching TV news, reading newspapers, etc. etc.
Two PCs, both Win7 fully patched, both 64-bit client, both used the same with respect to ‘Exit to Desktop’, etc .. one has the problem the other doesn’t!
Only obvious difference is they they each log in a different account.
I by no means want less skilled players getting “nothing” but I don’t want them having all the prestige skins, titles and rewards either. And Anet has allowed a lot of room for them to eventually get those rewards.

It’s a GAME, man, it’s not real-life, there’s no lolprestige i getting some pretty pixels on a character in a video game.
(S)he’s referring to other MMOs which have such a command (IIRC /reloadui is the WOW command, LOTRO has something similar, as does Rift, etc.). It totally re-draws the UI (the skill bars and all the other stuff that gets hidden by the ‘hide UI’ hotkey, which of course GW2 does have).
Can’t say I’ve ever had something ‘glitch’ that led me to wish for such a feature in this game, in others, yes, but those tend to be UIs which are hugely customisable which of course GW2’s isn’t.

My experience is that when it says “up to 3 days” it actually means “72 hours”, they seem to arrive pretty much at the very last minute of the 71st hour after you placed the order, I updated two accounts and both of them had to wait almost till the end of the 72 hours "up to "period.

1. the activity is fine as is. I’m glad it’s a mindless spam with the pistol or rifle for once that doesn’t require a well oiled team trying to survive a boss’s Aoe’s and whatnot.
2. Why does everything need to be about “rewards” ? I had fun in there although i didn’t finish it completely, and i’m def. going back to try to get it done.reward or not.
3. Mindless fun for half an hour (or more), what’s not to like. It’s not some tactical boss battle you need to prepare for and it doesn’t have to be.
Is it it strange though that Guild Wars 1 had the exact same holiday decorations and the exact same holiday quests every year, and people just did them and didn’t complain.
GW1 simply was in an earlier era of MMOs it seems, the same thing has happened in most of the longer-running MMOs I play.
Given the way Outfits work I can’t see any way this could happen without them implementing some mechanism that alters the Outfit rendering based on actual gear being worn and I’ve never seen any indication such a mechanism exists.

I enjoy JPs, in a masochistic kind of way, but I totally know what you mean about vertigo, it’s exactly what I feel standing at the top of a 50-story building for example, as I suffer vertigo in real life.
Also – nothing was taken away form anyone – the game that these people enjoyed for over 2 years is still there – none of it has been touched, changed or made harder. The entire core GW2 experience is still there for people to enjoy at their “casual” pace and skill level.

If there are others in your area on different ISPs suffering then it suggests a common upstream provider having problems.
About the only thing you can do is run tracert to see if there’s an indication of high latency but if it’s past your ISP there’s little to nothing you can do, and if it’s not your ISP’s direct upstream provider nothing they can do either.

You can tag all 5 bosses in one night cycle if you know what you are doing. There is no inactivity timer on these events.

MAN they screwed rangers (from a PvE perspective). Druid isn’t just a problem. It’s a huge detriment to what should be a killer profession. The skills are useless and the traits are worse; they’re actually harmful.
On the other hand, reapers look really good.
Yup, I was gutted when I realised the character I had most HPs on (due to world completion mainly) was the one class whose Elite spec was total garbage and had not relevance whatsoever to the class on to which it was bolted.
Who in Anet decided players who liked playing a Ranger enough to get enough points to unlock their Elite would want to play an old-style trinity healer? (hint: if I wanted to do that I’d have played a Water-based Ele though pre-HOT content!)
If you dont like it play wow where it take 2 years to level up instead of 2 minutes
LOL, another player who clearly has no idea about something but offers a view anyway .. 1-100 is doable easily in a week if you want to power-level it, without breaking sweat or using a ‘booster’, more ‘smell the roses’ players will take 2-3 weeks.
There are no ley-line crystals in the acid-opened chests. No idea why. Farming the meta is the best way to get them.
You answered your own question, just another of Anet’s ‘carrots’ to ‘encourage’ people to do the zone metas which I guess Anet suspected they wouldn’t want to do endlessly if they [we] had a choice.
If you got blindsided you got blindsided because you’re not an informed consumer and didn’t research the product you were planning to buy before buying it. That’s nobody’s fault but your own.

However, ‘harder’ is nebulous, I certainly didn’t take it to mean ALL zone content was 1990s group-or-die and little to nothing was like GW2.
As for ‘research’, I read everything Anet published about it, nothing remotely described HOT’s reality, being a total departure from the game it changed to GW3.

That being said HoT really is lacking content and a lot of stuff like the story or the fact that we got very few new skins ingame make it seem rushed. Still liking the game but as far as expansions are concerned Heavensward should have won by a country mile.
Nope, Heaven sword release(3.0) has no where near as much content as HoT, It has 3 maps(including a city), a few skills for each class no where near specs of hot of course and end game is still the same token grind.
Being selective about the content you cite only makes your attempts at pushing the idea GW2 is superior look more desperate .. thankfully Coyote pointed out your feeble attempt so I don’t need to.
Fact is FFXIV is a sub-based game with likely double the number of players Anet’s F2P has .. and for many reasons, not least because clearly a far larger number of players think it superior.
Also, it’s more hardcore than HOT at some things, so you can’t even lay the “it’s for casuals” charge at it.
That only ever applied to required vertical progression, leveling specifically. You’ve never been able to play however you wanted to acquire the extras.
There’s nothing you can do against latency, but adventures are a simple skill check. If the average player can’t handle silver, they’ll nerf it. For everyone else, find someone you trust and get carried.
The other main source of frustration is from casual players having a highly inflated opinion of themselves because of core GW2 now being told to “get good” not only by “elitist scum” but by the game itself which is now punishing them much more than it did before.
Having your bubble burst and realizing you’re not as good at the game as you thought you were can only infuriate people.
That’s one way very toxic way to look at it and to refer to that section of players, how very appropriate is a thread with ‘toxic’ in the title.
Another way to look at it is that the game that those people enjoyed for over two years and which they could play at whatever skill level they had was taken away from them and replaced by something aimed at the hardcore, highly-skilled players who were whining GW2 was too easy.
Fact is, had GW2 been like HOT then it’s likely it wouldn’t have survived because what games like GW2 pre-HOT and many others show is that the majority of players of MMOs these days don’t want to ‘work at it’ and many, like me, frankly aren’t skillful enough to do the kind of content the minority now spewing “git gud” manage.
Sadly, Anet listened to the minority and HOT is the result; whether it’s good for the game long-term IMO is very dubious.
The ‘casuals’ as you refer to them are angry because the game they had no longer exists and they paid a premium price to have it taken away.
somewhere it was mentioned in that thread I think that this guy considers progress based on event failure isn’t acceptable .. but no timeline for changes.
I am doing Lion’s Arch Exterminator Achievement. I was waiting at “Eastern Ward – Take care of the inn’s bed bug infestation.” The inn’s door is not interactive. How do I know it’s due to the bug or it is day time ?

I’ve may have played a lot of hours, just not a lot all in a row and if it’s not the time those events spawn, guess it’s too bad for players like me.
They spawn on a rigid schedule and though Teq. is on a 4.5 hour cycle and Karka 3 (I think) it must be possible for you to be able to schedule one play session appropriately.
Maybe it’s different on NA (if you’re on NA) but on EU I get Teq. every evening and only once in the last several weeks did it fail and only for the first time yesterday did I find a map with only a handful of players after I got DCed off a full one.
So yes, their schedule is a bit of an issue but clearly there’s plenty of opportunities to get one.
Crazy. That’s one of my favorite parts of the game. A fully voiced character is a lot more fun. I played games with silent characters – so dull. I just hope Arenanet is careful who they listen too.
When they do what you want then I guess you could look at it like that.
I’m in two minds about this topic. I agree with the OP that some of the saying get old very quickly, OTOH during world events some of them such as “Stand your ground” are useful IMO as they tell you someone just used that skill which will be helpful to you.
