So over a month for a single set “just because”? Hopefully the other stuff aren’t going to be this disappointing.
Just build your stacks then switch to the weapon with Force. Why choose when you can have both?
The simplest interpretation of “ends on July 9th” would be tonight’s reset or about 3.5h from now but it probably won’t be until tomorrow’s patch whenever it rolls around the same way it “begins on June 11th”. So probably between 12noon-3pm PST.
Esplen – it was indeed the Dead End Bar! I think when I hovered over Queensdale I assumed DR counted towards that, but I was mistaken. Thanks for being a lifesaver
I’d give you all cookies if I could, thanks again for the suggestions
That is a bug. The ‘hover for completion status’ doesn’t work for DR or Eternal Battlegrounds.
Names are just … name. The benefits are whatever they say on the item description. In theory the stats and benefits are based on the devs’ concept of the particular class .
Hmm … not really my cup of tea. I guess it’s nice if you like relying on stealth but D/D and P/D is still single target only. I guess there is Death Blossom for multiple targets.
A large chunk of the damage for that build looks like it will rely on Hidden Killer and the stealth related traits. This means it won’t really work before you reach lv60.
For leveling I pretty much dump all points into +Power regardless of class. Then either into +Precision or one of the defensive lines depending on how squishy I am feeling.
This is all for PvE of course. Some builds can probably work fine in either PvP or PvE but in many cases they are not. There are more stat points and more stat distributions possible in PvE. 1v5 in PvE wouldn’t be too unusual but since PvP is 5v5 or 8v8 that sort of fight should be less frequent(the opposing team would be pretty bad if they let their entire team get tied up by one opponent).
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sigil#Sigils_with_cooldowns
All sigils that have a cooldown share the same cooldown timer; while the timer is active, no other sigil with a cooldown can trigger.
They can be bought from heart NPCs or the trading post. There are also NPC armorsmiths that are all over the world who should sell armor in 5 level intervals but those are all white(lowest rarity).
At lv17 you are probably better off waiting until lv20 and get lv20 masterwork armor. Depending on the stats you want that can be anywhere from around 3s to nearly 30s for the full set.
Various personal story steps will also reward pieces of gear that is around the same level as the level requirement for that step.
oh my, is that picture for real?
change server man! (if you want wvw).
One of the ways matches end up that way …
That change was from April …

Shouldn’t one of these be the layer?
Weapon Masteries and Burst Recharge -> the individual weapon masteries like e.g. “Merciless Hammer” don’t reduce the Burst Skill cooldown anymore. I might be wrong here, but imo pre-patch both the indivudual Weapon Mastery and Burst Mastery reduced the recharge (e.g. Hammer: 10s -> Weapon Mastery -> 8s -> Burst Mastery -> 6s CD on Earthshaker / now Earthshaker CD only dependent on spent points in Discipline traitline). Might be a case of “working as intended”
I used to use hammer quite a bit with Merciless Hammer and nothing in Discipline but I don’t remember any reduction on Earthshaker. There was apparently a bug with all profession skill recharge time which was being calculated incorrectly. They were treated as cooldown reduction when they were supposed to be increased recharge rate.
Temple Assaults (Grenth, Lyssa, Balthazar, Melandru, Dwayna) all tend to have at least 1 Champion to kill during their Event Lines. Grenth and Melandru’s are both the event before the Chest event. Lyssa tends to have the most Champs to kill, though I am unsure if they do count.
Those are actually not guaranteed to be champions. They are only champions if you get enough people there at the event to scale them up to champions. Champion Gorillas are also probably one of the most annoying things to fight in a huge group.
You don’t need to aggro the champ for the chest. Just grab from underwater.
As for the question. Pretty sure it has always been a champion but Kraits were all buffed up a while ago and champion status magnified those buffs. On top of that you are forced to fight on a tiny area. Given the location and the buff this one should probably be downgraded to a veteran instead.
The vista itself can be reached without getting into combat as well. You can just jump on from the side instead.
You forgot to mention the server.
Should be fairly easy with the right hardware.
- Get a second soundcard(or just one if you are using integrated audio from the motherboard)
- Get a USB headset
- Get a USB audio adapter
Do one of the above and then just set the game and TS to use the different audio devices.
It is per account so no.
I don’t know about you all, but running a service was the draw I needed for GW1 to continue playing the game long term. Being able to help others in a significant way (through content) was what I loved playing Guild Wars 1 for. I can see how you may see it as a bad thing, but at the heart of it I just wanted to help people out.
Frankly, when I’m done getting Arachnophobia, I do not know what my draw to the game will be besides rack up achievement points. I have done the dungeons, spvp, wvw, I’ve progressed through my storyline, maxed a few crafting disciplines. I do not have a desire to get a legendary because the skins are not appealing to me. A way for me to help other players would be ideal (not just giving advice) while make some money with it.
I think you should re-read your own posts and things about the implications of your original post and these last two posts. Having “other people play the game for you” is basically taking away reasons for playing.
Shortbow also covers a huge gaping hole in D/D’s ability to deal with multiple targets. This is fairly important if you are trying to solo many of the personal story steps.
Comboing Choking Gas(#4) with Cluster Bomb(#2) for Area Weakness is also good for lowering the incoming damage.
People still do similar things with portals and JPs. However that is generally for free or someone may offer to pay someone for the portal. Asking for a fee for a portal is generally frown upon and results in someone undercutting you by 100%.
You will also need to put a 6th rune into the breathing mask if you want to maintain the 6 piece effect while underwater. The mask replaces your helmet while underwater. That is also very important if you ever use Superior Rune of the Krait. The 6th piece for that should only ever go in the breathing mask.

Still, those are all kits, and we have to spend utilities for those.
But as a matter of fact, there is no melee main weapon.
I would say, they could put a mace for that purpose.
And maybe making it so it can somehow buff turrets, along with other effects (like, having a lighting field on skill 3 that damages enemies and puts turrets in the field on overcharge).
Which is why each also has an associated toolbelt skill …
Never seen this in the game. At best it resembles part what was the mini map in the earlier betas. If you resize your screen wider(probably at least 25% to 30% wider) does it move to the right side or is it always in that location regardless of the window width? Does it still appear in fullscreen mode?
That has been an issue since launch.
API servers are down http://gw2stats.net/status/current
He is permanently located next to the Brigantine Waypoint out in the open(not in a barrel). If he is killed he will respawn at the same point.
This makes him both extremely easy to find and also extremely difficult. Since he appears as a ball of light instead of the suspicious barrels people are expecting it is easy to miss him unless they are holding down the key for showing NPC/Ally names or they have “Show All NPC Names” option enabled.
Server: Desolation
You won’t stack 2x as much. You WILL build the stacks 2x as fast. 13 kills to get 25 stacks instead of 25. The typical thing to do is to build up the 25 stacks then equip a different weapon.
what event is this? harathi hinterlands is not an event name.
Either http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Keep%20the%20Modniir%20invaders%20from%20retaking%20Kingsgate or the one just before it
So based on the posts in this thread … maxing Giant Slayer should probably give 30,000 Achievement Points.
You could use http://www.gw2db.com/items/consumables/unlock
If the recipe is sold by a NPC there will be a Sold By tab like http://www.gw2db.com/items/63177-recipe-s-hylek-beaded-necklace#related:sold-by

I was actually expecting a return of the GW1 title “Slayer of All”. It was for the Norn title track but it fits.
Only if “Not Too Shabby” is fitted somehow somewhere.
Having at least 1 piece of cultural armor?
I’m not really sure what the recovery pack for 300 gems is … but food for thought:
BL keys are sold for 125 or 5 for 450.
One (single) booster is somewhere from 75-150.
The chest can pretty much contain everything, so even if you don’t get the ultra-special item, or the booster you “wanted” you likely on average still get a perceived “good deal”.
If you change those prices you kinda want to change the keys too. Now all over sudden the “jump” to an 500-800 gem outfit may seem steep …
All in all I tend to think in $10-20 per month and all these extra single use items I get kinda end up only clogging my bank space.
I doubt it would make people spend more real money if they lowered those prices.
Recovery Pack is a new bundle. It’s just an Instant Repair Canister plust Revive Orb. Main contributor to the price is the orb. Buying the bundle instead of separately saves you 20 gems.
I am surprised they went with this bundle. The canister can be convenient to have but the revive orb is closer to useless. The orb takes as long as a player and once yo u are revived you are basically a sitting duck with 1HP. Using a WP is cheaper and probably faster as well in most cases. The only times I’ve actually used these was “meh I have these things taking up inventory space, might as well use it”.
Who is actually dying so often they would want one of these bundles? O_o
The bundling is also wrong. There is no need to use the canister more than once every 9(number of deaths required to break something if you start fully repaired) deaths so it should contain 1 canister and 9 orbs instead of 1 of each.
There are other locations in frostgorge with icebrood and svanir.
The things that spawn during the Claw of Jormag event can also drop them.
The ice elementals near inactive Grenth/Lyssa statues should drop them as well …
There are also the loot bags dropped by the inquest in Malchor’s Leap and Mount Maelstrom.
Thanks for reporting this! The ‘Future In Politics’ map instance is a known bug.
Originally planned for a conversation between Inspector Kiel and Magnus the Bloody Handed, this conversation now takes place in the open world and repeats a few times each hour. This is an optional scene for players to watch, has no reward associated with it, and helps provide context for the future story.
Thanks again for your reports.
If it has no reward then why does it say, “You have something for me”?
“Something” can include information.
Doing dungeons, especially Ascalonian Catacombs is probably one of the most efficient way to complete this month’s monthly.
10 runs of AC is
… 20 – 30 champions killed (which will also give you a couple of gold)
… 10 skill points(probably more, just finishing a run will give 70% of a level)
… piles of stuff to salvage
It should contribute a bunch to events as well.
I was actually expecting a return of the GW1 title “Slayer of All”. It was for the Norn title track but it fits.
If you are in Gendarran there is also the Ascalon settlement
True, but the Champions only spawn there if Nebo Terrace falls first, which doesn’t happen that often.
There is also a unique Champion Risen named Ketsurak in the Lawen Ponds in Gendarran Fields. This guy hits like a truck, however, so I don’t recommend taking him on without a large group for support.
Is that the abomination guarding the chest in the cave?
Fields of Ruin also has a Group Event at the Ebonhawke delegation that spawns two Champion Wasps at once. In the same map, the Ogre Wars meta-event at Foulbear Kraal spawns a total of four Champions during the event chain, plus you also get a guaranteed Rare once per day.
There’s also a Giant Branded Devourer that sometimes roams around in the same map, as well as a Champion Separatist in Ebonhawke, but they’re tough to beat so I usually stay away from them unless someone else is calling for help.
Diessa Plateau also has the Champion Giant at Nageling, as well as a Champion Plains Wurm near Butcher’s Block. Both respawn fairly frequently.
Finally, in Gendarran Fields, there are a couple of Champion Centaurs in the camp north of the Bloodfields. There are also two Champion Pirate Captains in Brigantine Isle, both of which respawn fairly frequently and can be solo’ed if you have a build with good survivability.
If you are in Gendarran there is also the Ascalon settlement
That is not a bug with Renewed Justice. This is just what happens when you kill things that do not give exp. They also won’t count for kill stacking sigils like Bloodlust. IIRC they also don’t count for rallying but I would have to double check that one.
That looks like you should try repairing your .dat.
I didn’t found this thread before, so I opened another one (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Bugged-Hologram-Projectors/first#post2347856).
What I want to know from a dev is:
1. Are the aetherblade guys supposed to be super rare?
2. How often should they spawn instead of the dragon bash minions? And to the people that claim it happened since a few days.. there was a “fix”:
Fixed an issue where some holoprojectors appear to be active but do not function.
(https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Game-Update-Notes-June-25th-2013/first#post2339673)Might that be the reason why they spawn now very rarely?
Well the broken projectors DO resemble the ones that spawn aetherblades in every way except for the fact that they do nothing.
Keep deleting mails. ALL of them. And give it a while.
(Who has his/her mailbox full at this stage of the game? Specially expecting a gift?)
Anyone who has been away from the game for a while could easily have a full mailbox thanks to the event mails. Some people just like to keep those around even if they haven’t been away for a while.
are you sure that is not your .dat in need of -repair?
Anything in particular that new players should put attention into while levelling to learn/ make the most of the game? Ide hate to smakitten to 80 and still have no clue what I am doing..
Any time you die, examine why and try to figure out what you could have done differently. This could be changing utilties, weapons and traits. You might become very comfortable with a certain setup and you could probably get with with 90+% of things you encounter but you should get used to the idea that there are times when you have to switch to something else. Read all the skill descriptions(carefully!) so you can at least be aware of all the capabilities of the class even if you don’t have all of them slotted in at the same time. Same with traits. Reading them on the wiki might be a better approach since that can provide additional details missing from the in game descriptions.
There are also 3 or 4 champions in the Ulgoth event chain. The Tears of Itlaocol mini dungeon also has a very fast respawning champion.
Generally what I’ve been enjoying the most out of this game is just dynamic events, and there’s usually so many people doing them I rarely have to worry .. Honestly it’s my story that’s the only time I’ve ever really had trouble.
Events with many people around sounds like the exact opposite of soloing …
what counts for Giant slayer ?
The 1 or 2 (dependings on scaling) normal ones in the Toxal Swamp event. The unnamed champion attacking Nageling in Diessa Plateau. The champion Kol Skullsmasher in Harathi Hinterlands.
Orrian: "Son, would you like to know about your ancestry?
Orrian Child: “Sure thing, Dad!”
Orrian: “Once upon a time, Vizier Khilbron acted like a stupid kitten and sank Orr with one of the most powerful magicks in history. Vizier Khilbron is now Zhaitan’s ho.The End.”
Abbadon not Zhaitan.
Depending on how things work … possibly Kormir now.
