Tbh i don’t need weapon swapping. I do need kits proccing weap swap sigils though. Once they fix and make FT and ToolKit and Elixir Gun more useful, even as main weapons with rifle/pistols acting as support, i won’t mind lack of weap swap at all.
I like kit swapping and the fact i got no CD on it and unlike Ele am not limited to 2 range or type of skills.
@Lyuben, bombkit for example is not at all inferior to any weapon. We need other kits to be equally good.
My only complaint in regard to Bomb Kit is skill #1. 2-5 are fantastic.

Clearly you didn’t read my post. When I said running solo was not an option i was refering to sPvP. And I also said with the builds I was using.
Runnng solo in sPvP is also an option. You just need proper build. Question is; why would you like to run solo if zerg yields a lot more points? That and also meeting enemy zerg doesn’t end well for your health
Pick up a good build and you can run around solo stomping people. I often win 1v2 1v3.

This is easily one of the most feature rich MMO at launch…ever. I can’t believe folks don’t have just a little bit of patience to let ArenaNet prioritize fixes post launch.
They’ve said many times prior to launch that additional eSport features would come post launch. Either people didn’t get the memo or they have unrealistic expectations that a bunch of new features would be added a week or two after release of one of the biggest games in history.
I play mmos since 1997 and played MANY betas/releases of MANY games. GW2 had one of the best releases ever. There are people who expect AN to launch 100% finished game with features worth of 7 years bonus of developing.
Yes it has less features, it’s been 7 years less on the market than WOW… .

Give it some time geez. It’s been out for a month. I am also waiting for first big balance and pvp oriented patch but i don’t exaggerate things and take them out of dark place.
It’s a valid problem but an effect of bad design on dev side.
Right now the the points gain promotes point trading and not fighting.
Winning is just a small bonus and % based on your total point gained. Little points = little bonus for winning.
System promotes point farming instead of fighting to win because:
-8 people stand on point capping it for points instead of 1 guy capping it and other 7 going to keep for example or svanir
-thre is absolutely no point in defending the points because you lose on not capping other points and lose on potential neutralize + cap
That and many others. Unless ArenaNet changes it to something like GLOBAL points (everyone on Team X gets points for everything) or something similar it will remain like it is now.
I stopped playing to “win” some time ago already since it was simply bad for glory points.
Played to win: 50-100 points
Played for points: 350-500
I only play to win in tournaments.

@OP, every argument you make is invalid because FT simply blows.
The only useful thing there is Air Blast.
Skill #1 will get you killed really fast if you hit anyone with retaliation up. If heaven forbid you hit 3 ppl with retal (and there is a lot of aoe retal there) you will almost instagib yourself.
1 second of Flame Jet = 5 hits. Retal lets assume hits for 350 easily with little to no power. If you hit 3 people then you receive 5250 DMG in 1 second. That’s 10500 dmg in 2 seconds…..i.e. full channel of #1 on FT.
And because everyone and their mom has retaliation atm it’s basically suicidal weapon kit.
Also Flame Blast is simply kitten To have ability that does most dmg at range 600-700 when your #1 is 425 is stupid. It does almost no dmg up to range of 600 which is countereffective. It also bugs on terrain all the time.
Blind on #5 is very small AoE (melee range almost) and does 1 blind instead of couple of pulses.
Napalm Wall is meh as well. Should be circular field.

Eles don’t need a buff. People need to L2P them. Difference between good and bad ele is just remarkably huge.
charr did not invent the guns
They are most tech advanced but that doesn’t mean they invented cannons. Charr got tanks, zeppelins, helicopters…
Go full inventions / turret build.
Find an area with relatively good number of mobs who do not aoe/range.
Set up Rocket, Thumper, Rifle turrets.
Ctrl Mouse 2 on thumper.Now you are semi-afk farming. Best to do it in pairs with another engineer.
Alt tab, do whatever you want, alt tab back occasionally to collect loot.Enjoy.
And the purpose of it? You lose bonus experience very fast. This is also boring and unimaginative.
@Violator, sorry to say but then you must be pretty bad at the game to say only 1 spec and support/heal works.
I have soled entire orr 100% of it. I used many specs for it and every spec was good. So it’s clearly L2P issue on your end.
Make #5 faster and pulling yourself to enemy instead of opposite.
Make #2 faster
Make 3rd attack in chain of #1 do AoE damage like previous 2
Make it heal turrets faster (wth 150 heals?!, sitting 5 minutes smacking turret is just dumb)
Make #3 hit in aoe
rather see current ones fixed and balanced with clear role and skills rather than being a mess (flamethrower #2 doesn’t fit the rest of weap).
As for future….. Gear Hammer?:P Swiss Knife?:P

Blunderbuss is Cone AoE and single hit. It’s a lot harder to dodge than warrior’s #3.

I remember running with elixir B while just exploring zones for the swiftness, and constantly tossing elixir B on cooldown and not once did I see what you described.
I remember it working that way during the beta, but never at launch.

Dude, necro is the weakest class in s-pvp if you don’t believe that then go play with some warriors or guardians against or with them, and see for yourself.
Their classes are on another level than ours is. It’s ridiculous.

I don’t like the trait because it is SOOOO counterintuitive. It pretty much forces us to stay in FT even if just to stack MIGHT and then leave it and shoot rifle.
I would’ve preferred some skill changed (give back backdraft, and change #2 for more melee range) and give juggy retaliation + fury
