Swap the names on your suggestions and I might agree 100%. Natural Mender for a staff trait seems more in line than Primal Echoes. =P

I still disagree because we would have to pick between glyph reduction and heal bonus which is just bad design idea. I believe the Druid shouldn’t be built to make dps best. I want more for healing which is what i picked it up for.

I believe the problem is that even with condition damage reduction grandmaster i was still getting major burst down. Also that life steal necro aura is deadly. No way to avoid that. SoS just buggy mess right now as well.

I suggest Necromancer. Necro is far more balanced for multiple roles. Can tank, and support and dps. Ranger is best healer tho so if you like that go Ranger.

Yes. Wells provide protection and condition removal. And DS heals snd prevent decay. Thats major support.

PolyMoa and Sword AA same issue

Sad really but Sword AA suffers from the same thing that makes PolyMoa so dangerous. The Auto Attack moves the character on its own, making player lose control of the character during certain frames. This could make the character auto move deeper into enemy’s lines or other hazardous locations.

This need fix on Sword. I can understand PolyMoa, since its purpose is to disrupt enemies.

but this same disruption shouldn’t be baseline effect on ranger self…. just saying.

Haha! Mate, it just hit me too, I was outside doing some work and it dawned on me, so I came back in to post a Druid/Spirit thread.

You know why Spirits Unbound was removed? It’s nothing to do with thematics. Ok, put your tinfoil hats on fellas.

Because Herald had been designed. They realised that a Spirit Ranger could achieve the same utility and buffs, that it would exceed what Herald is right now, actually, and also have the Druid CAF for healing.

If we had Spirits Unbound back, we would be the best support in the game.

I like the Elite Specialization a lot. One of my favorite. But I would like to see some additional effects added to the other ranger specializations that could benefit the Druid support role.

Currently as many have pointed out, the Druid ES seem out of place on the Ranger. The Ranger specializations dont really have much in terms of baseline support and defense. Examples is Regen boon. We can get this from a traited Warhorn, but why would a support Druid use warhorn over Staff?

Its just out of place honestly. Would greatly like some additional synergy between Healer Druid and other specialization.

The so called “Druid” isn’t actually the elite spec for the ranger. The Smokescale is. It’s got everything we’ve been wanting: a shadowstep, burst damage, might stacking, a smoke field. All you as the ranger have to do is jump on his back and ride him to Victoryland!!!!

And we get that baseline in core.

OP, so Necromancer isn’t magical?

Yet they don’t have any invulnerability at all in any way.

Necromancer could have invulnerability.
It would make sense as it does have a non-reflectable auto-attack.
But necromancer gets as much love as the ranger, so that is why it can’t have nice things.
Me saying the ranger should have it, does not mean the necromancer should not also get a second look.

I don’t want that on Necro either. I like playing tank, and having to rely on Invulnerability in my build for defense means I lose capture point contribution. No thanks. I take a block or blind field.

Last time I checked; ranger does not have the utility of a guard or the sustain/dps/mobility of a ele.

Well how about fixing that issue instead of suggesting something like this that would get the class. Huge nerf. Fix Nature magic, And Wilderness to actually do their job.

So, came up with a different idea for Glyph of Rejuvenation and it could actually solve a couple of issues, ie mob tagging and building AF without staff or TU, check it out!

Nah that would be a huge nerf. The heals are smaller for self. And the group heals are smaller which is not good for a healer specialization.

I wouldn’t mind that heal on damage as a added bonus to current skill. Maybe a self regen on damage or something.

Hi just noticed that the new pets for druid don’t go to target to use the f2 skill like other pets hope this is just a bug. If not please make it so they at least act like the other pets and go to target to use skill.

My last game: 420k damage dealt. 470k recieved. 180k healing to allies. The build posted must be more tanky/healer oriented to get those heal numbers, such low damage numbers, and clearly the other team knew and didn’t want to hit him because of it haha

Don’t hit the kitten revenant when infusion of light is up. Seriously, people need to stop complaining about this. Revenant is in a perfect place for pve and I would hate to see it nerfed because of pvp crying.

exactly, its a L2P issue. Warriors been had this with Defiance stance,.,,, nobody said a thing…

As for Druid, again its a learn to play issue. Simply CC the Druid and dps close range with burst and CC. force them into heal form and its over, especially when they isolated.

No I like the push on GoTT base form. Its needed for self defense when out of form.

It simply need a AoE regen and maybe even a blast finisher or water field.

Vine Surge need its cast time reduced to 1/2 seconds. far too hard to hit.

My only problem with druid, is that it has no equivalent in the other classes. The classes in gw2 are supposed to be designed to challenge the traditional gaming trinity, so that each class can play every playstyle, ie: healer, tank, dps. However, to match the druids lvl of healing, other classes have to use two, or even three trait lines, thus making them all support and no bite, whereas ranger needs only one trait line for it’s amazing healing, and has two spare lines to take a more damaged based route. This honestly puts a big imbalance in the game, making the ranger much more important/useful then other classes, because it can play two roles, while other classes can only play one.

The only other thing I wish had been done differently about rangers, is that at least one of the new pets be able to fight under water.

All I will say is, “last few years of DD Ele…”

I would like it if Healing Power also increased damage reduction, so Cleric gear can be like Clerics from DnD as Tank/Healer hybrids. because Toughness on its own, is pretty weak as well.

Healing Power adds damage reduction to conditions.

I have notice, anytime I tried to coordinate the group before the match by informing them that I am spec for healing, everything breaks out into chaos.
Nobody wants to follow a plan.

I also notice, when I dont say anything at start, and simply heal and do my thing, everything goes well.

Where is this evidence of Anet testing anything in this game?

I dont feel like searching for those Red post from Guardian forum, which had beta changes that were delayed because they made adjustments, so Guardians had to wait till BWE3 for some of the changes.

Are these the same “inside testers” that released the Reaper and original Revenant forms that needed massive overhauls to be worthwhile?

Anyone who thinks these Beta tests are Just PR and not massively needed crowd sourced QA are fooling themselves and need only look at the now disabled Raid/Squads Beta.

Thye beta we play isnt the same build inhouse testers use. So all things we got in second beta, they already had played.

Staff 2 need a buff.

AG should remove Roots and movement conditions.

Staff 4 need longer duration and better cripple effect. maybe a Bleed as many have suggested.

Staff 1 need its healing scaled better with gear.

But likely there already is a buff to scaling in new build.

Because Arena net didnt want to reveal Healer until the last major marketing event.

They been hinting at Healers and Tanks being useful. Remember at launch they had a Anti- Healer/Tank view. Which since then has changed, so their marketing team decided to slowly reveal trinity roles.

You need to understand WHY people don’t like it. Is healing bad? No. Will it be bad if a druid is MANDATORY in raids? Then yes, since it defeats the whole purpose of this game.

Developers are the people that choose any “Purpose” in their game, and those chose Healer to be a needed role in Raids as well as making it a useful role in other parts of the game now.

I didn’t choose a healer class. I chose a DPS class. Because I know from experience what happens to those healers.

If your internet connection is bad and you have lag and can’t keep up with healing and the party wipes who gets the blame? Healing Classes.

This is not making a useful class this is making the oppotunity to grief and blame other people for not playing well no matter whether or not their internet connection is good or bad. And another thing that IS going to happen is that if I as a Ranger main who has played 1134 days (at time of post is everyday without missing a day from launch) turn up as a ranger to a dungeon or raid I will be expected to change to druid whether I want to or not. This is not a choice this is having no choice in how I want to play.

Another fact is when I went through the Silverwaste Story line to get to Verdant Brink I got lumbered with 3 menders and a husk to kill by myself. It took me 5 minutes to actually kill 1 mender by myself so if ANYONE thinks that Druid has enough DPS go fight 3 menders and think again. I have never had a problem killing 4 or 5 menders as a straight Ranger.

Why the heck you soloing with Druid and Staff, than come to forum to whine that it doesnt do Zerker damage? Lolsssss

you could have easy switched to Bow/GS….. for solo…..
