In fact, I feel like these weapons enphasis further on control instead of damages, as many traits are when interrupting, althought those aren’t new..

you hit the nail on the head. mace and hammer are slow weapons focused on cc, not damage. that’s their purpose, and it’s why they see little use in pve and a lot of use in pvp.

Now that i think about it, i never seen a Mace main hand warrior in SPvP.

the ability to wield a 1h axe in two hands and have the model scale would be rad. doubt it would happen though.

Giving us Conjuration skills and giving us a Conjure Great Fire Axe would do the trick.

same for Conjure Land Spear. Which could also explain that datamine art of warrior with land spear.

I take conjure versions of them till the real deal comes in…

it needs more than that.

  • Ground Targeted 600 range.
  • Knock down instead of Blow out.
  • 5 stacks of Stability for 2s.
  • 40s cool down.

Disagree on knockdown vs Knockback. The knockback is great for SPvP point capping.

They can swap between 2 sets of skills in combat. that means more healing/utility and elite skills in combat then the other professions. But really, does it matter if they have less? They play differently. I recommend reading the forums more since this has been talked about like everyday.

That’s still less skills. The 6-0 are like Revenant’s weapon skills since they cant switch weapon skills.

so thats less than Ele which also cant switch weapons.

5 baseline legends = 25 skills like every other class.

Elite spec Legend = 5 skills. Thats 30 skills.

Oh yeah you right.

3*6= 18 utilities, elite specialization included.

my guess, Warrior is the one Profession who does not get any new weapon, as they already have lots of options.

I read people complain that dual-wielding for Warrior is not that great anymore (mostly on axe/axe)

maybe the specialization will deal about dual-weapon skills? similar to how thief dual-wield skills are a combination of weapon 1 and 2. with the current weapons this would be 15 dual wield skills. (sword/sword, sword/axe, sword/mace, sword/shield, sword/warhorn, axe/sword, axe/axe, axe/mace, axe/shield, axe/warhorn, mace/sword, mace/axe, mace/mace, mace/shield, mace/warhorn)

All elite specialization get a new weapon. Anet words not mine.

Hammer been pretty nice. I stop playing Mace in SPvP due to the difficulty of landing burst on moving targets when the server say you didnt hit.

Who here uses Defiance Stance in SPvP besides myself?

It can be a bit tricky some times, and other times it can be pretty good in pvp/wvw period.

whats some additional changes you want for it?

For me, i would at least like this skill to get priority over Endure Pain when it procs.

also would love for it to have an additional effect such as a stability since it is defiance after all but may be too similar to balanced stance.

Maybe bit of regeneration on it would also be nice.

or a removal of Taunts, Stuns, Slows and Fear. ..

Another idea is for defiance stance to have some kind of effect on nearby allies when the warrior is hit. Like it could heal them for 5% of the damage taken. That could really spice this skill up.

Fast Healer - New Trait System?

I noticed that other classes gained an increased res speed trait

but to me it looked like Warriors LOST Fast Healer

and I REALLLY liked that

Surely it wouldn’t be hard or game breaking to throw it in somewhere?

Looks like it got merged in with tactics but not mentioned. Because we still rez extra fast. Or they made it baseline which would be even better.

Feel free to jump in and give feedback on my ideas for improvement.

Minors:
Determined Revival- is too niche for use in most modes. I suggest adding additional revive speed, while also perhaps making the toughness gain into a buff that starts when you start reviving and last for few seconds afterwards. This gives warrior the chance to gain the toughness while having options of not just being a sitting duck in SPvP…
Better yet How about a revamp all together? I say a better idea would be to give this this minor some kind of field effect that buffs nearby allies when you are reviving an ally or something. Cast Enraged guard- boost toughness of nearby allies and grant them fury for x seconds when you start reviving.

Reviver Might- I say replace this all together. Lets not make this another revive trait. Either Merge this with the Adept minor that is currently in the game. Make this something else that deals with combat. Grant might when you CC a enemy, or when you are CCed. Or when you are CCed, you grant stability to a nearby ally. Something other than two revive traits please.

Inspiring Presence- how about a power to healing power? or toughness to healing power. if thats too strong, just make it a boon with ICD or something. Less strick than just for might.

If we’re talking strictly damage…Ele > All in both pve and pvp. The only class I know that can almost down a shoutbow in one second if they get their combo off correctly.

Warrior wasn’t even mid-tier pvp damage before the patch. Unless we’re talking rampage. That hit like a truck.

I just saw a Engineer 1 shot a mesmer, right after just finish killing me like hot knife through butter as defense build.

here is what it will accomplish, if you leap through various combo fields

dark = blind 3 × 2 = 6 seconds? useless!
ethereal = chaos armor 5 × 2 = 10 seconds? NO! 5 SECONDS ONLY! USELESS!
fire = fire shield 5 seconds !!! not 10 !!! useless !!!
ice = frost aura 5 seconds !!! not 10 !!! useless !!!
light = light aura 5 seconds !!! not 10 !!! useless !!!
lightning = daze 1 × 2 = 2 seconds ? USELESS !!!
poison = weakness 8 × 2 = 16 seconds ? SO WHAT? CONDITIONS EASY REMOVED!!!
smoke = stealth 3 × 2 = 6 seconds ??? warrior no need stealth. warrior FACETANK ALL!
water = healing 1300 (0.5 healing) x 2 = 2600 (1 healing) well healing signet heals more than this so its USELESS AS WELL !!!

basically, fire shield, auras, chaos armor will not get time extension but simply refresh the timer on them. useless.

why did you pick tactics line if you have no use for all 3 grand master traits?

Want leg spec, and Empower Allies.

the grand masters dont interest me, but no might stack or shouts, the two are pretty much useless to me.

Before the patch warrior already did way more damage then almost every one in PvP.
you will soon find out that zerker warrior still sucking for the same reason
after the patch, everyone’s damage got buffed, including warrior and thats it

Hi I suggest adding a short duration protection to the 1 skill for allies.

This need close range, and heals pretty weak. so I feel a 33% damage reduction could make up for this a bit trade off.

No the opening is in the water about NE of the purple thing in the underwater ruin. The hole is covered by lots of plants along the wall making it hard to see.

I can’t help but feel most players are missing the big picture here about the HoT expansion. From what Anet has revealed that the expansion will be feature rich rather than content rich which is why some of us are trying tho justify it’s price tag is worth it.

I can’t help but feel that Anet took the cheaper and lazy way out with this expansion, I mean whats cheaper adding more features or adding actually content like several maps, quest, dungeons, armor, weapons and classes, etc.

As a person who has been spoiled by the massive expansions from WoW, Final Fantasy, and GW1, I have a high expectations when it comes to expansions content as I don’t want so little content that last like a month or two.

This is the only thing that has been eating me sense the news of HoT, and I will wait patiently until Anet reveals more later on(if they decide to after the out roar from the community) before I can make my final judgement. What do you guys think is more important to an expansion, features, content, or both and please keep your comments constructive.

I rather have features than more content that likely will never touch.

WoW’s Cata expansion is something close to what you are talking about regarding an expansion that was mostly content and little to no features and it had a major drop off in population.

More Features are more fun for me. I want Guild Building for Personal Housing honestly.,

You have to have 3 Specializations at all times I assume. so you have to switch the Specialization out completely to reset it.

The only build warrior loses is rifle and power based dual wielding builds. Neither one of them were that great.

There was a couple changes like that you cant now take last stand and cleansing ire but most of the new traitlines dont have so many terrible choices.

No I didn’t say anything about builds being better or worst. Just different.
Share your old builds so we can all remember how things were, 3 + years from now.

Usually in MMOs the gameplay features change greatly over time. I remember Old AV in Vanilla WoW, and it’s much radically different from AV in today’s WoW. Not much info exist on the net regarding the old AV.

This post is for saving memories of the old system to look back on in the future when things radically change.

They stopped making underwater weapons for the BLTC some sets back.

They stopped releasing underwater skins a while back.

Think about it; there’s no proper good underwater places to fight anyway. It just doesn’t see use. Also because no one wants to fork out more gold/tickets to finish their black lion collections just for some measly underwater weapon skins that will rarely see use.

They even removed water from some parts of the game… probably due to the NPE being too confusing. I can’t source this but a lot of forum goers went and found the places (I think all the starter zones had water taken out?) so it may just be a coincidence. Ah well.

So why not bring underwater weapons to land? Why keep them underwater only? Spear would have made for a much better model option for Revenant’s Melee staff… Now the HoT staff skins have a bunch of Melee oriented skins, when we already had such a thing with Spears and some of the Trident skins….
