I played it while on tribulation mode. I don’t know if this makes a difference. This has never happened to me before.

Essentially when he was near half HP while in his wizard form.. I reflect a projectile back at him.. then all the sudden he turns into his dragon form and starts flopping around. I just start swinging wildly because I have no idea what’s going on. The chest appears and I loot it. Then I notice that the Storm Wizard is back in his normal form shooting his projectiles at me. I just waited for the timer to end and got my achievement. One thing I noticed was that the 300 baubles or whatever that normally appear didn’t appear with the chest.

Arg I keep posting the wrong screenshot on the second post. And the internal server errors aren’t helping.

Anyways I think there is something wrong with the repair canisters. I’m using the same weapon but in the maw my stats are lower.

I should have 45 AR. However during the maw when I checked my stats I noticed that it was 35. There should be no reason for this. As you can see in the screenshot my back piece was not broken whatsoever. It had been broken at one point but I fixed it with an instant repair canister. When I exited from the fractal it was back to 45.

I like more difficult content generally speaking. However I could see a scenario where they increase the difficulty with each world, and world 2 was more difficult than intended with that in mind.

It is reasonable. Because you can only carry 9 potions at a time. Before the upgrade that made 9 hearts, now it makes 18 hearts. (and honestly, if you’re playing tribulationmode you just get filled with ~300 baubles at the end of zone1/2 in either world)

Tribulation mode should pretty much be completely ignored when it comes to designing the game for normal mode. Only a small percentage are going to complete it multiple times.

The problem with the upgrade is that, as far as I know, you are stuck with it and cannot change back. Honestly at 25 baubles a pop I would rather change back to what it was before. You also have to remember that the slingshot and bombs use up a bauble for every use.

I’ll jump on the 10-15 bandwagon. That seems much more reasonable. There’s no reason for them to cost 25. It kind of makes me regret getting the upgrade.

I was about to make a thank you thread too lol.

I personally think that the overall increase in difficulty was a good thing. There may have been some spots here or there that really frustrated me but overall I (if you ignore the excitement that was there when SAB first came out) I enjoyed world 2 more than world 1. World 2 may have felt a little claustrophobic but I’m guessing that’s because of the mountain theme that world 2 had. World 1 had more a plains theme.

Because of the increase in difficulty I can definitely see a lot more complaining than for world 1. And I hope that Josh and his team don’t get discouraged by that and know that there are people out there like me that enjoyed the increased difficulty. When people post on forums it seems like people have a tendency to mostly post when they’re upset about something, not when they like something. And so if you only listen to the forums you will have a jaded view that everyone hates all of your content. And that’s not true. I personally love the overall increased difficulty. It makes beating it feel that much better.

The only concern I may have is that a lot of people may not have the time to complete everything that they want to because the game is harder and takes more time. Then also the crowd that wasn’t here for world 1 has to do world 1 as well. I saw a suggestion in a forum somewhere to add a SAB home console in your home instance and I think that’s a really cool idea. I’m not sure in what circumstances you guys would implement that. Maybe have a meta where you just have to beat all the worlds (don’t have to get the secrets of anything else) and then you get it. I don’t know. But the idea of having it seems really cool.

This is the area that I can’t get past currently. It’s right after a checkpoint. I can get close to the waterfall near the end but I keep getting flung all over the place all the time. If I make any mistake it’s pretty much instant death because it’s so hard to get out of the water. I feel like I’m playing tribulation mode right now. I guess it’s a good thing I got the infinite continue coin. It doesn’t help that it feels so cramped and there’s so much stuff going on.

I completed the area now. I think I was a little confused on where to go at the end of the piranha part. I just figured I’d try jumping through the waterfall. I think part of the difficulty is getting the timing down on the spouts. I just learned to wait until they all go down then all go up and jump then.

Ah, I’m not necessarily asking for a radical solution. If anything I just feel that the river is annoying because of how much it pushes you back. Also sometimes it feels like I get flung for no reason (like there is no fish or waterfall thingy and I just get flung randomly as I’m trying to jump on a water spout).

It’s most helpful to us if you are specific about areas that have difficulty spikes for you. (Such as mentioning the spin flowers above.) Also things are always laggy the first day of content release. So complaints about lag don’t help.

Only newly obtained skins in select sets are tradable. In the past, we intended those skins to be account-bound and not tradable. After the change, these skins will remain account-bound and not tradable. We will continue to monitor the value of those skins, but at this time, there is no plan to make tradability retroactive.

So people who kept their tokens as opposed to getting weapons and putting them in their bank have an unfair advantage? How is this fair? This is a horrible decision.

If you guys made this instanced it would have alleviated all of the pains like camera issues, lag, and wait times. I can understand the general idea of not wanting to rely on instances, but I think this is one spot where instances make complete sense.

Took me like 10 tries but I finally got it on my ranger. I used 2 wolves as my pets since they have knockdown, cripple, and fear/chill. Then I used shortbow for the cripple and stun. Then I used Mistfire Wolf elite for extra damage.

I did Deadeye with a zerker warrior with greatsword and rifle. I had the invuln utility skill. I also used the hounds of bathazar. And I had the heal that fills your rage bar so that I could use the rifle burst ability. Took some tries but I finally got it.

The first place he teleports to is where you start. So if you don’t move he’ll teleport to melee range for you to use number 2 greatsword. So I did rifle > greatsword > rifle.

If you get downed try to use the ability that gets you back up and unload and hopefully you’ll kill him before you die.

So I was on my warrior. I put 5 gambits on. I set it to the deadeye T3 guy. It tells me that I’m going in soon, so I precast hounds of bathazar. It teleports me in, then immediately teleports me back out. I lost 6 tickets.

So I’ve been trying to figure out what T3 boss to try getting 5 gambits on. So I’ve just been doing them to see which I can do easiest. I did Deadeye Dunwell on my Warrior. Just to get one achievement I put on the exhaustion gambit. After I killed him I noticed I got the meta achievement which confused me. It confused me because I needed two more achievements to get that, not one. So I check and I also got Humble Victor achievement.

They probably made it timed so that people don’t take too long and other people have to wait. Although this wouldn’t be a problem if it was instanced. Also the camera issue wouldn’t be a problem either since we wouldn’t have to be in a small bubbled arena.

So I consider myself a competitive achievement hunter. I try to get as many achievements as possible. The problem is that getting all the dailies can take hours, which really cuts into time I could be doing something else.

I’m not suggesting a cap on total daily achievements you can get, just how many you can get a day. Something like maybe you can only get 8 achievement points a day from dailies. I’m only talking about PvE daily here. One major problem and time sink for me are the WvW dailies. It’s not uncommon for me to run around in WvW for over an hour trying to get them. I understand that WvW dailies are for people who primarily play WvW which is why I’m not asking to get rid of them but rather asking for the cap. Below I’ll detail some of the strategies I use to get the WvW dailies and why people like myself shouldn’t be required to do them. Not being forced to get them would make WvW a better experience for everyone.

Dolyak killer: If possible, I just stand at an enemy-controller supply camp and wait for a Dolyak to spawn. I don’t try to capture the camp.

Repair: This works best if your server has SM. Just go to SM and take the supply in the castle and repair the walls. Going to get supply from a camp takes longer, so I just take supply from the castle. If we don’t have SM I try going to keeps and doing the same thing.

Player Kills: I just follow the zerg and do whatever the zerg does. This discourages small parties from doing alternative things than what the zerg is doing. I could be capturing a camp somewhere, for instance.

Camp capture: If I’m ever in a scenario where I could defend a camp, I don’t. I wait for the enemy to take it so that I can take it back. For instance in the home borderland if an enemy is trying to take the north camp I don’t help defend it.

Sentry: Same as camp, I don’t try to stop an enemy attacking a sentry.

Tower capture: Either same as Sentry and Camp, or I follow the zerg.

In a lot of cases I’m standing around waiting, which means I’m taking up a slot just standing there not doing much of anything. I’m just trying to show why WvW achievements shouldn’t be required for achievement hunters.

I’ve been trying to get Agent of Entropy. The bane of my existence is green-rarity equipment. I don’t feel that greens are worthwhile enough to deem needing a prompt. They aren’t really worth all that much. The only rarity that should give the prompt are rares and up. It’s really annoying having to double click on the salvage kit again after salvaging every single green.

I’ve been doing tPvP on my necromancer. I like to use Locust Swarm for the swiftness. The problem? It damages the stupid crates and it puts me into combat and slows me down. Please remove the crates.

I agree that gambits shouldn’t use tickets. Like Varonth says it doesn’t make sense to use gambits solely for the reward since you can just use that ticket that you used on the gambit to do another round without gambits.

I’m starting to give up on the prospect that shortbow will return to it’s former glory. So can we at least get the range to 1000? I don’t see that as unreasonable, since the engineer rifle is 1000 range.

I killed Subject 7 and got his achievement for not killing any slimes. I go to the gambit NPC and all my gambits are gone. I don’t see any gambits available.

Ok so back story just in case. I had the exhaustion gambit on. I was doing events in the lower part while I was waiting. I get teleported to the arena thing. I forget my opponent’s name but it was a lady with a wolf pet and there were tornadoes. She had low hit points. It was the 3rd boss I fought I think. Anyways I defeat her, and now I’m stuck in the cage. I can’t get out because the waypoint won’t let me. I had to log out and log back in.

Edit: Just in case you need to know, I focus-fired the boss and not her pet wolf.

In an ideal world we’d have shared gold across the account and the ability to put gold in the bank to store. But we don’t really know the process on how to make that happen and how many hours may have to go into making that a reality.

The quick fix is to get a mule guild. I honestly thought most people already had a mule guild for storage, but I guess not. It takes little money to get the first guild vault upgrade. I know you can only be in 5 guilds at a time but I dunno why you’d be in 5 guilds. Even without this gold change I don’t really see why people don’t have a mule guild.

IDEALLY, coin should NOT be shared in the wallet. It should remain character specific. The bank allows transfers easily enough, and it just breaks all common sense to have money be simultaneously carried by everyone.

I disagree with this. I love the idea of sharing money across all my characters so that I no longer have to rely on putting money into the bank anymore.

I don’t really see why people need storage for gold. But I don’t see why anyone wouldn’t have a mule guild to store stuff anyways. I have 2 mule guilds for storage.

I played it for a bit, and I feel the biggest flaw with it is that everyone picks air. However I’m not calling for the nerf of air. I would like to instead see the mini game restructured to encourage players to get the other aspects (sun, wind).

Here’s the core of how I should it should be done. I think that you should only be able to put a crystal in the one that relates to your current aspect. So for instance if you had air you could only put the crystal in the air thing at the base. And when you have all 3 stations charged it should either give your whole team a temporary buff, or hurt your opponents in some way, or both. It needs to be something good enough to encourage players to get it, but not so good that your team can just keep doing it over and over because it’s so detrimental to your opponents that they can’t recover.

Now for balance suggestions with the above in effect. I feel that you should not be able to pick up what aspect you want. The reason is that you could just switch your aspect at the base to score. So I think that players should be forced to pick one before they go onto the battlefield. There is one problem with this however, and that’s people might kill themselves just to switch their aspect. So In conjunction with that I think that if someone gets a crystal in the station that at that moment that have the opportunity to switch their aspect for something like 5 seconds. This gives players the option to change their aspect without having to die and without being able to change it right before capturing a crystal.

Now for a balance suggestion with the above in effect. The problem now becomes how do you capture a crystal if you’re air and say an air team mate already captured one? You wouldn’t be able to capture a crystal and would have to kill yourself. So my suggestion to this is to allow multiple captures on the same node. So if one person captures on air you still can capture on air. However, the super effect will still only happen if all 3 stations are charged. Capturing the same element would do nothing but give your team points and allow you to change your element.

I feel that a setup similar to the above would encourage people to use more than just air while keeping air intact.
