Virtual reality is probably the ultimate end-game of gaming. I don’t think we’ll get there for awhile, though.
Btw SAO is a bad anime.
I support previewing armor you can’t wear. This seems like one of those decisions that make the developers happy but make the players sad.
Hey everyone. This is a fix that is working as intended. As these armor types were never designed to be worn together, it resulted in some graphic issues when previewing them.
Sorry to be blunt, but, I think this is a lame excuse. I think people understand that previewing an armor that you can’t wear can have issues like that. And nobody cares. The only people who care are the developers. Bad move, imo.
It’s not bugged. I was able to do it and so was everyone else I know.
Yup my instance was bugged out as well. Was still able to get the rewards and all that though.
As long as I get the adorable charr soldier I’m good.
Hope this is a bug as well. I got a light armor that I wanted to preview to see if I wanted to put it in my bank for my other character or just sell it. Couldn’t check.
Please fix Anet.
For the most part I am enjoying Wintersday. I think it’s an overall success so far. Perhaps the town instance could be a bit longer (although I understand there is a new instance every day so I’m not too bothered by this) and perhaps the jumping puzzle could be a little harder (although, again, not too bothered by this). The DDR minigame is pretty fun. I’m still trying to get 100% on it (I think people who get 100% should get 1 extra present).
Then we get to Snowball Mayhem. I guess it lives up to it’s name because it’s incredibly chaotic. I think the primary problem is all the knockdowns involved. An easy fix, I think, would be to set the ice beam to number 2 and the ice patch to number 3, and make it so ice patch has a charge timer so that people can’t use it right upon being downed. The ice beam can be used as an interrupt to buy time to use the ice patch. I almost never run up to a player to finish them because I don’t want to get bounced around everywhere.
Then there are class problems. I won’t really get into the assault class because I never used it. Once I saw how slow it was with the gun out I never picked the class ever again. With the scout class if you get close enough (which isn’t too terrible difficult with the stealth) you can one hit KO players with the number 3 skill. With the support class it just has too much knockdown capabilities. This is increasingly evident when there are a bunch of supporters constantly knockdowning everyone.
I think that’s the real problem here, is that there are essentially only 2 classes being played: Scout and Support. Assault needs to be changed, and there should probably be a 4th class as well to help spread out the classes.
Edit: Also there is a bug or something that changes the class I picked at the beginning of almost every game. It’s really annoying.

I want the human female clothing to be less revealing, not more. Call me a prude all you want.
Edit: Norn is fine, because the Norn culture is all about showing off your muscles. I’m primarily talking about the human race.

Frikken knockdowns. ;o;
Supporter best class cause of knockdowns. Don’t like assault cause moves too slow.
I got it. I did another party and they got it. Trees need to be destroyed. Also there are some small items that can be hard to see. Just keep looking.
Is the voice actress who plays Toxx the same person who did Glados in Portal? They sound awfully similar.
I really think there should be some kind of world chat system where people can organize together across maps. I played Rift for awhile and what they did worked pretty well. They essentially had chat channels that would unlock the higher level you got. It unlocked so that, for instance, level 1 people could not talk in the level 50 chat but people in the level 50 chat could still talk to the level 1 people if they have that low level chat channel open.
For this game you could have something like a chat channel for 1-19, 20-39, 40-59, 60-79, 80. This could, in particular, help people organize meta events in Orr and dragon events which would increase the overall supply of precursors without actually having to change anything at all.
The problem with having an all-encompassing general chat is that of course gold sellers love that. With restrictions on levels, however, I found that gold sellers never got high enough level to really utilize it at all.
You might say that people will just spam channels with dungeon requests. However I think if a dungeon LFG system was implemented it would curtail that.
If I were a charr, I’d be looking at that airship with a lot of envy. Who knows, maybe someday we’ll see a competition.
Please let there be a charr event someday.
The idea is to allow people who primarily WvW to get candy corn. Although, perhaps they could have put less nodes on the map and put trick or treat bags in the bags you get from looting a kill.
I don’t think the Halloween event was a failure. Lost Shores though.. yeah that was.
They’re going to add items to Black Lion Trading Post with each event. It’s how they make money. Just dealwithit.jpg.
“Test your luck” may just be a general term like “break a leg”. I’ve completed every single jumping puzzle and none of them were luck based. I don’t see any indication as to why this one would be.
Just unrustle your jimmies and give this event a shot. You can tell ArenaNet is learning from previous events. A prime example is that not only do the city events last for 24 hours, but they’re completable when Tixx gets to Lion’s Arch as well. This shows that they learned from Lost Shores and that people don’t like one time events that require you to log on at a certain time on a certain day.

Here’s some WvW info: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/wuvwuv/Coming-Soon-To-WvW/first#post965551
I like what they’re doing with this event. Have the main area be in the HUB city, and have events across the cities.
I had a necromancer with scepter/dagger (for aoe damage) and minions. PvE leveling was pretty much easy mode.
It looks like a jet or something.
I discovered the minimal part UI option and I like it quite a bit because I like having the UI been as minimal as practically possible. However the problem with it is that you can’t tell who is or is not in the zone graphically. You can hover over the names but this is not an ideal solution. It should be changed so that, perhaps, if someone is not in the zone their name is grayed out. I posted a screenshot showing what all I mean.
I think the Shatterer is probably the coolest looking of the 3 dragon generals.
Are level 71 elementals high enough level to drop lodestones? Or do they need to be even higher level (like level 79)?
Yes please. Of course there will be 500000 rage posts too :-(
I think the rage consisted of 2 things:
1) New tier added
2) Can only get new tier from fractals
If the patch is what OP says it is then there will be more ways to get ascended items than just fractrals, which should make people rage less.
I look forward to the next patch, then, if this is true.
That’d be pretty cool.
I don’t think the silver reward should scale to your level. I understand the idea is not to give low level characters as much money as high level characters.. but the way the system is set up you have to finish the daily on high level characters to get the full silver reward. And I think that’s a bit silly. I don’t want to have to switch characters to get the full reward.
The halloween was pretty much a human event. This one is asura. I hope we get an event with Charr as the focal point.
One on hand I don’t think it’s a good idea to grief someone over something like this. Those types of people should probably take a chill pill. But on the other you should probably realize that people just don’t want to see your icon on the map. This is especially true when there are multiple commander icons on the map.
This would all be a non-issue if players could disable seeing the commander icons on the map, but for now you will just have to try your best to remember to turn it off when you’re not using it.
I think the less skimpy armor the better. I wish there weren’t as many skimpy options as there currently are. The beta version does look more “complete” due to the chest area being similar in nature to the rest of the outfit. It looks more cohesive. But I would prefer to cover up the current outfit more as opposed to make it more skimpy (which would make the current armor also more cohesive).
I’m probably a minority in the MMO universe, especially since I’m a male. And my opinion to it is probably a knee-jerk reaction to everyone running around as human females in skimpy clothing. But when I see them running around it feels like I’m in a gentlemen’s club in a MMO and I don’t want to go to a gentlemen’s club.
I like the asura and charr females because they are not sexualized in any way shape or form.
I wouldn’t say it’s overrated.. I mean it is a fun song. It’s just that it’s been way overused. Whenever I see gangnam style on TV or wherever I’m just like “ugh, not again.”
Gem prices will spike or fall depending on different circumstances. You cannot control it 100%. You say you want to stop people from playing the gem market, but by limiting how many gems people can buy you are also hurting people who “legitimately” are buying gems for goods and services.
Here’s an example. A couple months ago I bought 2,000 gems with gold for the deluxe upgrade. Under your current rules that you are suggesting, I would not be able to purchase anything else from the black lion store for the rest of the month.

ArenaNet won’t admit to this, but the reason we have no trading system at all is because ArenaNet wants to force players to put items onto the auction house for the money sink. They don’t want people making backdoor deals that bypass the listing fee.
They implemented the mail system with the idea that people would not do what you did, which is to give someone items/money in return for money/items. People, for instance, will not try to buy a precursor from someone for 200 gold from the mail because there is that chance that the person will just steal the 200 gold.
I highly doubt they will change anything in relation to trading.

It used to be 5PM (17:00) pacific time but after the whole moving the time back an hour thing or whatever it’s at 4PM (16:00) pacific time.
I believe dailies are just meant to reward you for playing the game.
The monthlies seem to change every month now, with ones being added that deal with the event of the month.
I do think that WvW should be taken out of the monthly, or alternatively to be moved to the PVP monthly.
Oh, I checked the wiki. You have to have the graphical settings set to medium on environment. On Low there are invisible orbs.
How do I make this jump? Even when I gain swiftness the next orb is too high to get to. I tried looking at videos on youtube but they all seemed to be of a previous build with more orbs to jump on.
They work. Or at least, they worked the last time I used them. I used the black lion karma booster and a 5% karma flag buff and it went from 4,500 per karma jug to ~7,000 per karma jug.
I would suggest saving up the karma jugs until you have a sizable amount and then using them with the boosters. Unless you want to spend gold/gems on getting the karma boosters.
How do I go in here? It shows as unexplorabled on my map and I would like to explore it.
From what I understand, the daily achievements are essentially in place just to reward you for playing. That’s why the achievements are fairly vague in nature. I don’t think the achievements are supposed to alter how you play.
However the problem with the Kill Variety achievement is that (I think) it is impossible to get the achievement unless you visit multiple maps. And that does alter how I play the game. It makes me go to other zones that I may not normally go to. If I plan on just leveling a character in a specific zone for a day I cannot get the dailies done.
I would like it to be replaced with something else. Something like maybe “level X times” or “gain X experience without dying” or something.
They just need to make the drop rate a little better for skins.
If they had a sale on character slot expansions that would make me happy…
I don’t really like Extra Credit. The series is an opinion box. A vlog. But the entire structure of the video is him acting like a teacher and telling you how wrong you are and how right he is. It makes him sound condescending; like he has some amazing insight into the world that nobody else has.
Put even one ascended ring in the karma vender there (no matter the cost) and guess what, the events will get run and the world will feel alive again. Why ANet hasn’t figured it our by now is beyond me. It would allow the pvers a way to get the new items and calm the majority of the disenchanted; well that and an apology with assurances they won’t add another tier.
edit: As for the rest of the world giving better karma reward items at the hearts including recipes would be a nice start. The majority of the players usually just rush through the lower level areas anyways though.
I like the idea of adding ascended items into normal PVE. Maybe big chests can have a chance to drop them.
There are two types of pugs:
1) Nobody really knows what they’re doing; failures usually ensue.
2) The group tries to go fast as possible while skipping whatever content possible.
In terms of CoF path 2 though, yes dying over and over is the best way to go about that spot. More and more enemies spawn and if the team wipes then the npc dies and you have to start over. The repair bill on going separately and dying is like a tax on doing path 2. You’re just either going to have to live with it or not do CoF path 2 anymore.
They should move the WvW monthly to the PvP monthly.
I got the email. In the survey I made sure to make my disdain for one-time events clear.
Sorry. You weren’t online during a 3 hour window. So you get nothing.
