Actually, I’m quite happy of this hotfix. I’m glad that there was a quick reaction to this abuse and, above all, I’m glad that not everyone was affected by, for instance, nerfing loots on all bosses, which would have sucked.
However, twoquestion come to mind :
1) Considering there can be hotfixes like that, had there been others previously ?
2) If so, or if intended to add future hotfixes like that, for the sake of communication, could we please have a changelog of what is changed ?
I mean, it’s quite frustrating to see changed without knowing it …
I guess some details cannot be said, such as this abuse, but there could be another subforum “quick notes” or “hotfixes” and lines such as :
“Fixes a bug abuse in TA up path” (just an example)
I wonder if there could be some condition to obtain it because I ran so many AC and never did any of us loot the recipe. Never seen any recipe in any dungeon since the update actually …
They said in the other thread that it would be fixed in the next patch. Now we just have to know when exactly is the next patch. Hope we don’t have to wait until Wintersday update … It would suck a lot. But, as we got no update this week, I guess it’s very likely
I quite agree on that … it’s very frustratring to have to do it all again with another character if you want a change …
For regular dungeons, it’s not a problem, you juste have to do 1 story again, or have someone that has already done it in your party.
For fractal … well, you’re kitten* .
It should not be a problem as you could not survive with a “new” alt if you don’t have agony resistance so you can’t just “jump” all content …
I also wonder … I think there are “caps” at which it’s more effective than at others … but guess Theory Crafting is not good enough to answer that
I really can’t understand … I’m seeing more and more of those trinkets at TP but, despite my farming dungeons, I never drop any recipe … Something must be missing so as to be able to drop them …

It’s just a bug, reported a long time ago, no stealth here, just a lingering bug.
I don’t agree. Scepter could be a good weapon if it was reworked. Would be better to rework scepter to make it a viable condition weapon (no more useless clones on weak attacks) AND to add MH pistol as Power weapon, that’s it.

Hey, I think that now, everybody knows that the patch introduced new recipes. However, I defintely wonder how these can be obtained. On the GW2DB page ( http://www.gw2db.com/items/consumables/unlock ), it’s written “requires unlock”.
WTF is unlock ? How do you get it ?

I have all the materials required, but cannot discover the recipe : neither from the jewelery station, nor from the Mystic Forge so, how the hell I am supposed to get it ?
I have read somewhere that those recipes might be looted on dungeon bosses (in AC for the example) but I have been farming this dungeon again and again, never any member of my party ever dropped that …
I don’t think so : either you salvage and destroy the equipment, or you transmute and also destroy the equipment, up to you ^^
What’s good with transmutation is that you can chose, between the 2 equipments, which skin you want, which stats you want and which rune you want.
So, basically, you can have skin A, with B stats and B runes.
I think it is planned to remove it from LA and put it in Southsun Cove, isn’t it ?
Yeah RTL is fine now but it’s still party bugged : sometimes, when using it without target, you end up “stuck” at the end, for a few seconds.
That’s no big deal as opposed to how it was before that but it’s still a bit annoying.
Sometimes your character just stops moving at the end and you have to press a direction arrow so that it starts running again.
Yeah, same for me. It’s a pain to use this tool.
What a shame we cannot have some specific research such as search in title OR in messages OR in title+messages etc …

The idea of these bags with a little karma, some money and 3 tokens is very good. Maybe 5 tokens would have been better but anyway it’s quite good.
And, moreover, thanks for the added loots, providing ways to get exotic jewels with stats we could not craft before that. Finally ! Thanks
Honestly, I’m quite happy with the update. You now get extra money, a little karma and 3 tokens in addition to everything else. 3 tokens may be few, maybe 5 would be better but anyway, it’s still good.
And what’s even more good is that there are new items looting, as I saw exotic jewels at TP with stats you cannot craft …

Well did it again today and had no problem. I have absolutely no idea of how it happened. Maybe this was fixed by the bigger update ..
While I hate previous nerfs, I don’t see so many reasons to complain here.
Portal : well it’s not that serious
Moa : quite fair, depending on the utility of the skills (useless if skills are good)
Phantasms : I don’t really care, more of a bug fix yeah, though it might scare
Torch changes : sounds like things are moving forward, cool to see

Very often happens to me as well. It seems to be more likely to happen when the current page of the topic is almost full and it’s about to open a new page and when it’s done, topic works again :o
I was wondering if it happened to other players as well. Yesterday, just a few hours after the “update” to the game, I tried to run a TA up path.
All went well, but when we reached Fyonna, she would not, by any means, trigger the fight. She talked with the NPC, but she just stood there, friendly mode, AFK.
Is it a general bug or were we unlucky ?
Same as post above me : I would not care if pistol or dagger would be added as MH, but we definitely need one more power weapon as MH.
However, I disagree with the idea of double daggers : I think we have enough OH weapons : focus, sword, pistol, torch (even if it sucks lol).

Hello, I know it’s not a bug, but there is no suggestion part concerning forum/website so I guess I should post here.
I was wondering if it was possible to have a button “mark all topics as read” so that we may just put in gray all posts we don’t want to read and see the updated ones afterwards, it would be very convenient (as we can find on almost all forums)
Also, I was wondering about an option at the bottom of the page to redirect to the top. On a computer, it’s no big deal, but on a smartphone, it’s quite boring to scroll up after reading each page x)

Hey, I think the title says it all : I was wondering if it’s possible to have different settings and/or keybindings from one character to another.
I mean, keybindings are different whether I use the action more often or not. For instance, I use more often the earth attunement (F4) on an elementalist than distorsion as mesmer (for obvious CD reasons).
All the same, I might want to disable auto target on a character while I need with another
etc …
So I was wondering if it was possible ? I did not see anything like that but before posting this as a suggestion, I’m posting it here in case I just missed something :o

- Fix Powerful Auras (does not provide all buffs you gain to your allies, such as combos or might on switch)
- Rework some useless traits such as Windborne Dagger or Zephyr Speed/One with Air (first is useless when you have the second)
- No CD on attunement switch when it’s done out of combat ?
- Some buff for sceptre/focus to make them more useful in PVE

I think he was talking about the CD to the phantasms, and the one that made more time between 2 attacks of I Warlock.
But, concerning the least changes, you should take it as good news : less changes means less nerfs :P

Well, I don’t see why there should be a full patchnote ahead of the patch. Honestly, as long as I have quite a good idea of what’s coming, which is the case here, I’m happy.
Not telling anything would be bad, but I see no point in telling everything, it could spoil the (bad ?) surprise.
You know there will be new PVE island, a new dungeon of a new type, new PVP maps, big changes about professions …

I think, when they say 5 pages, they mean like 5 pages on a little wordpad opened as a window. I can’t believe there can be 5 pages on an open office or word document just for profession changes or this would be amazing O_o
Omg I so much agree with you sir ! When you keep swapping attunements, it’s getting sooooooo boring to hear those annoying sentences. I mean, at the beginning, it’s cool. After hours, it’s freaking boring.

Defintely true … Even the trait with 5 points in air is useless given that with 10 points, you got One With Air.
How many more years will it take them to fix illusions condition damage glitch? Is this even known? Because when you stack 15 stacks of bleed then all your illusions die/shattered and their condition stop dealing damage is a complete mess… Right now shattering on a condition mes is awful.
I think you should post that on the bug thread, it will be helpful (if it’s true of course, never tested it myself)

Personally, I’d rather have the clone removed from the auto attack and have a defintely better use of auto attack, which would stack a condition (probably not confusion as there is #3) maybe poison, weakness or … something.
I mean, seriously, mesmers need a reliable alternative weapon for condition builds PLUS the scepter is supposedly designed for condition damage (as speccing into it adds condition damage, seems legit) so why having a mechanic that has absolutely nothing to do with condition and based on direct damage (attack) ?
Does not make sense to me.
Finally, shatter builds are more happy with GS/Staff, so I don’t get the point in keeping clone factory on scepter …
I’ve only tested it in PVE so far, not yet in PVP, but for PVE, I defintely love this change, allows to teleport further than previously, and it happens less when you don’t move at all. For the moment, never been undermap after using it. Thanks Anet
I don’t get the point. How on hell could there be “discrimination” over UI addons ? It’s all about esthetic. Do you really think that guilds or people will say “lol you have ugly UI, I’m not accepting you”.
But as said above, it’s not especially that, it’s more about saving builds/skills/stuff, which is even not considered yet by Anet, so there will be none before months …
