Actually, it’s a lot harder this way! You need more time and a lot more patience before you can really start playing the game. And we all know that patience is very difficult to learn….

Ah, a thread like I was just about to make!

1) Leveling. The unlocking of things is just way too slow. I don’t need any hand holding, the moment I need the amount of “help” I get with this game, it’s the moment when I probably don’t even know how to turn on my PC.

2) Queen Jennah. Nice, I’ll have a birthday coming up at the end of September and I’ll get a mini I cannot even stash anymore! (I’ll presume the not showing of the minis in PvE maps is a bug)

3) PS pointer. Simple: GET RID OF THAT ANNOYING ARROW! It distracts me from the more important movements on the screen. I already never liked the fact that it was always visible on screen, but now that it is actually a moving thingie, it’s even more annoying.

4) Some strange icon on my map. No idea what it is. I just see a strange huge icon on my map (standing in Plains of Ashford now) in Lake Feritas. Hmm, but I’m all the way near the portal to Blazeridge Steppes… Why the hell would I want to see that icon? Or is that part of the “people are so stupid they cannot even breath without our guiding them” system this patch introduced?

Last night I saw everyone’s minis on Edge Of The Mists and it was pretty crowded then. I still can’t see them on any other PvE map except cities, so I’m really hopeful this is just a bug.

Yes, I saw my mini when I was in Rata Sum with a lot of people around me, but in Plains of Ashford, where I’m all alone (in visual range at least), I got the message…

At a guess I’d say that beta weekend retention was bad, and they did research on why. The research led to the conclusion that in a weekend, people didn’t have time to learn the system to appreciate the game. Anet wants more retention for people who start, particularly during free weekends.

Now they have that, they can run a free weekend or even a free trial.

Fine with me, as long as they give veterans the option to opt out of skill lock. At the moment I have no desire to level my alts until I have more birthday scrolls.

At the moment, I don’t feel like playing at all. Do you realize that it’s now impossible to do a daily (complete, that is), on a low level character? No conditions, no dodging, no doing condition damage, no underwater combat, no skill point…
The only ones you can do is salvaging and kills.

Veteran players seem the most upset by this which i dont get. I started since release and its not like i dont hav 8 experience scrolls and 80+tomes of knowledge sitting in the bank. If your a veteran how do you not have any?

But from the sound of it, they simply removed the lower levels. And the game just starts at 20 (or something).

Replayable would be best, but I can understand the difficulty. But even a recap in your journal like the PS would be great.

I dont mind the tail clipping. They’d have to do a new mesh for charr alone every time they redid outfits, and my focus isnt always fixated on my char’s behind.

All NPC’s run with their weapons out (even if they don’t have one). That’s why they run so slow…

There is an armour set called Sneakthief. I like the chest piece on my sylvari ranger.

I really don’t like the sneakthief on female characters at all. But it looks awesome on the male ones, even Charr.

It will still drop. Even for other armor classes. Yes, the other armor classes also use cloth, but less then the light ones do. So, the do get cloth, but less than the light professions. It makes sense to me….

• More finite dolly control

• Stop ‘random snapping’ from happening

• Fix automatic camera height so that the over the shoulder camera works as it would be expected to work

The ones that I miss the most is the first-person view and a finer control. I want to make another “family” shot of my character, but it’s a pain to do so at the moment as the feet of my norn are cut off (as somebody also mentioned earlier) so I must zoom out so much that all other characters lose too much detail (which makes it a pain to cut them out)

The text on the is also clearer as it now say “added”…

Level 20 scroll and, wow, a five SP scroll, as if you can’t get 5 scrolls of knowledge at the drop of a hat. Pretty disappointed with the birthday gift, except the blaster, which is turbo radical, and I will use it all the time.

I don’t have a hat, so, yes, I do like that scroll, if only for the monthly skill hunter. This may be news for you, but not everybody is only going after champions. And even if I do get a champ box, I almost never get a scroll…

Only with the clown will I “rush” harvest… It’s fun to get as many clowns up as I can! (couldn’t withstand the sale and got me a second one :p)

These need to be craftable to higher levels like agony infusions. 2 level 20 scrolls gives you a level 40 scroll, 2 level 40 scrolls gives you a level 60 scroll, 2 level 60 scrolls gives you a level 80. If you have managed to accumulate 8 characters for a year, you have probably earned an insta-80.

Now this is a feasible idea for a compromise. Hopefully someone at ANet spots this.

Yes, it’s worth the trouble to go to 400, but in my opinion, it’s only worth the trouble to go to 500 if you want ascended stuff. (or just want to get to 500….)

No, it’d be horrible if it had flames or some glowing effect and I most certainly wouldn’t have gotten it then…. And for me, that price is decent, because I think that skin looks awesome.

They’re the same in functionality. And you’ll get one if you buy one. So, if you want to use it on more characters you’ll have to swap.

New are the various harvesting sickles (Jack-in-the-Box, Thrasher and Consortium)

Play through a zone without following hearts/poi/vista/WP. Just randomly moving around, following NPC, following a little trail and the game will become more interesting.

My favourite way of playing this game is exploring by harvesting… I’ll set a marker at my destination and will go in that direction as long as there is no node or event in sight. I can cross a map a few times before I finally reach my marker….

About one of the remarks above: I’d love if they removed all borders round a map and make it all one huge map without those chokepoints…

It’s more likely that exotics will be account bound on acquire now.

If that would be the case, none of my new characters would get an exotic item anymore. I’ve had two exotics drop for me since the DryTop update. And I can’t even remember hoe many champs I’ve killed or how many boxes I’ve opened since then….

With the wardrobe you can craft one and use it on all. So that the “effectiveness” of the skin increased enormously. Also, they are now accountbound instead of soulbound. I think a lot of people finally decided to go for one that previously couldn’t decide whom to give it to.

I was doing some research, and discovered that there are Precursors being sold for super cheap on the TP as I type! The image I’m attaching will shatter the mythos of Precursors being too expensive. These Precursors aren’t 2,000 Gold. Or 1,500 Gold. Or even 1,000 Gold. Amazingly, the price is between 90 to 115 Gold!!! How exactly did these deals go unnoticed for so long?

But I like this post. It shows that the majority of the players care not about themselves, but they care about how others see them: “I won’t get an underwater legendary because I can’t show off with it.”

Well, not sure if u guys already know, but the recent LS patch brought a new item that eats bloodstone dust (50x) and gives you a gift containing (1xequipment, 1xcraft mat, 1-3 white trash for sell).

So, I’m happy that I didn’t destroyed my ascended mats and have 7 mules filled with it.
Maybe more things like this hapen in future, so, as long as you have bank tabs/mule character to hold, is always nice

PvP and WvW have gotten the short end of the stick for a while, I don’t see them as being babied at all.

Now, is it fair that they can get the dungeon armor without doing the dungeons? Sure. It’s not like they aren’t doing anything for it. They still have to play their chosen mode. It’s not any different than strict pvpers obtaining pve skins via balth faction in GW1. Same concept.

Then why is it fair that there are (or rather will be again) PvP-only armors? Why wouldn’t there be a way for PvE plyers to work for it? And not by crafting, but by questing (as that should be the PvE way of getting stuff, not that mindless farming that is required at the moment…)
