Haha, I never even noticed the wording in the mail. That’s hilarious, and also makes me wonder if the initial plan had been to be 1 account based birthday. Still, I’m actually quite happy they went with individual character birthdays. I have some turning 2 (starting the 25th), some turning 1, some only half way to their first, and more not yet made.
grin
I have no issue with them adding outfits, they are simply the replacement for town clothes. Which, I know some people are going to holler about because of the lack of mix and match issue, but we have to face the fact that some of us did ask for this (guilty here). We wanted to be able to use “town clothes” similarly to how we used costumes in GW1. As such, they took our suggestions, our feedback ,and wha-la…outfits. However, they needed to overhaul the original town clothes system which took 90% of them out the game.
These aren’t a replacement for armor skins, I agree with that. However, I don’t agree that they are being lazy or trying to skimp out on us. We’ll see more armor skins (they just gave pvp 2 for crying out loud), right now they are just playing ‘catch up’ on returning “town clothes” (in a sense) to the game. I’m sure they have relatively limited resources devoted to this area.
The OP has a point. Perhaps he didn’t use the best example, but the point itself remains.
There is a lot of negativity, and a lot of just outright nasty, on these forums. I do call out both of those separately because they are two different things. Everything that exists has negative feedback, in some way or another. It can be helpful in the growth process if that negativity is expressed in a constructive manner. There is nothing wrong with this.
However, there have been a lot of all out nasty threads and / or responses (most of which get deleted, but not all) on here as well. It is those threads and types of responses that are a solid reason for not talking to us. They are no conducive to healthy conversation, and while the answer doesn’t lie in ignoring it, neither does it necessarily lie in reacting to it either. The employees at Anet are human too, they have feelings and they get angry. Sometimes it’s better to just say nothing at all, rather than to stick their foot in their mouth, or to lose their temper and say something that is going to impact more than just one person.
Unfortunately what they need is a pr / legal person to interact with us. Someone trained to deal with some of the toxicity that exists on the forums. (Not the easiest type of person to hire) However, this isn’t going to appease us either because this type of person isn’t really going to have the information we desire. They won’t be able to really answer many of our questions without having to go back and forth with the devs on the other end, which could take some time.
Beyond that, there is a lot of “it’s not ready / confirmed, so we’re not going to talk about it” because things can change in the blink of an eye in development. Take precursor crafting for example. There have been several threads screaming anet has lied to us, mislead us, regarding this item. However, a community manager stated in April (right around feature patch time) that precusor crafting would not be in the April patch because due to the systems changes, how it was originally designed to function no longer worked. Most people would say ok, they’re working on it, it encountered a set back because some core systems got adjustment. No biggy right? Wrong. We get people screaming that anet broke their promise when they never made one. That they lied to us, that its never coming. Etc, Etc. The devs dont really need to be dealing with that load of bullcrap when they honestly have more important things to be doing (such as making content for our game).
So come on Anet. Talk to us. We’re willing to listen.
I’d say that some of us are willing to listen. Considering some of the threads in this forum, even on the front page right now, there are quite a few that just want to kitten, and Anet talking to us (sadly) will just make them kitten that much more.
Don’t get me wrong, I want them to talk to us to, but I don’t think enough are ready to listen. Not here, anyway.
Oh really? o.O
So paying? yeaaaa
You know you can do this with gold now, yes? It doesn’t take gems.
Hell if you want, set one up and I’ll donate my time tokens to it.
Ya know, as many people want dueling, if they pooled their resources for an arena (or 2), they’d probably have plenty to keep it open for a good loooooong time.
Considering we have at least 1 thread weekly regarding dueling, I’m sure they haven’t forgotten…we don’t fricking let them……ever.
/no pvp in pve
I’ve always said that tags should be earned and not purchased, but obviously they don’t agree.
I suppose I’m fine with them going up to 300g, though it really makes no logical sense to me. Oh yay, another gold sink…there really are better ways to do this anet. Still, I don’t think the colors should be locked behind additional mandatory gold sinks if you want anything other than blue. This forces the tag into the ‘vanity item’ category, which is not what their purpose is. I feel if you purchase a tag, you should have the option of selecting your color, not just get a blue one by default if it’s your first tag.
I (and one of my guildies) occasionally have lag spikes, but the game is far from unplayable. It can be annoying, but for those people with less than spectacular connections to begin with, it’s really not a big deal. We’ve learned how to ride them out and not die in the process.
I’m not worried about them negating expanders with the changes to trading and collecting. Even if they did, as others have pointed out, they do refunds (in gems) accordingly.
Still, I’m waiting for the anniversary sales to pop before making any purchases.
I think you’re right in fact I truly believe they are building an expansion what I don’t understand is their complete unwillingness to divulge their plans. What sense does it make to let players leave because they have no news or nothing to look forward too? I mean if you’re building it why not just tell people and squash all of the negative publicity surrounding these doubts and concerns. You don’t have to set a date, you don’t have to give specifics, just knowing it’s coming would be enough for most people to stick around, or continue to invest money. I know I’d open my wallet again if I knew this was in the pipeline because their would be the security of knowing it would be more of a long term investment. Not knowing anything formally is why I won’t spend anymore money.
I have never in all my years of gaming seen a company do more harm to themselves through pathetic marketing practices as Anet. They are by far their own worst enemies.
Because they’ve been down that road. They TRIED to be transparent, and lay out their plans a year in advance.
The moment ANY of it changed, even in the slightest, the fanbase went on a rampage and started spitting the most vile, disgusting, entitled, bratty venom I had seen since the WoW message boards.
I do believe their silence is now because they do not believe they CAN be candid with their fans without their fans losing their collective kitten. And I don’t entirely blame them, even though I do think they should be open anyway.
I have to agree here.
Anet did try to be transparent once. Sure they weren’t a freaking window, but in the beginning they did talk to us a lot more. It’s only gone down hill from there. The more they said, they more people ripped them apart. So they started saying less and less, and still people continue to rip them apart. I can’t blame them for just clamming up.
Yes, I’d love to see them talk to us again. The looking ahead blogs, cdi’s on here, some community managers to interact with and go between for us. It’d be great to know what they are working on, what they are planning, and having the ability to ask “hey, did you consider this perspective” because sometimes (by their own admittance) they don’t catch every perspective. However, I just don’t see it happening.
Just look at this feature patch, those blogs are locked on partially for anticipation purposes. The other is if something changes at the last minute, they can change it or yank it and we’ll never know. Less ammo for us to use against them. They only tell us what they know will absolutely make it in.
Ask support. Not us.
Super Adventure Box, a part of the first living story involving a lot of jumping in a 8-bit world. Some people hated it, some liked it, but it was greatly done.
I wasn’t a fan of it myself, mainly because I’m typically not good at platforming. I do agree that it was very well done though.
Super Adventure Box
I’m not a big fan of SAB myself, but I understand that people wanted to see it return this year. I sort of thought it would as well. Although perhaps, considering the bullkitten that spewed from people’s mouths during the last release, I can also understand Anet taking a step back and re-evaluating if it is something they want to spend additional time developing.
Remember, people ripped into the work done for the last release to the point where the dev that designed said he’d learned his lesson in regards to pouring so much effort into it. He was really hurt by what people spit out as “feedback” for his effort, so I really wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t want to do anything with it for a while.
Did they have any announcements at all before the first birthday OP? Any hype? To my remembrance they did not.
I think the only thing they said about birthdays was that characters would have them. That’s about all I recall, just a confirmation.
It was released on the 28th August 2012. It won’t be 2 years old for another week and a half and they probably won’t announce what they’re doing (if anything) until just before then.
Well, for those that pre-ordered and created their chracters first day of head start, they’ll be 2 on the 25th.
7 days and counting….
But if I remember correctly from last year we didn’t get our gifts until the 28th.
I’m pretty sure I got mine on the 25th. Although, my memory never was the best. I guess we’ll see in a few days.
I have a character turning 2 on the 25th, 27th, and 28th if I recall correctly. (I actually just went through and calculated all 25 characters’ birthdays and added them to my excel sheet last night lol)
Really though, lets say there is no expansion, and their plan is to have mostly stuff in the vein of what you have seen in LS2, and QOL improvements in feature packs (Some big some small) would that be enough to keep you engaged in the game?
I honestly can’t answer this, because I simply don’t know. There is still a kitten ton of stuff in the game for me to do, even after almost 2 years. Each addition of the LS adds one more thing on the top of that pile. Sure, I get through the story typically in the first week, but I don’t explore it like I’d like to. I just…play through it. I haven’t had the chance to go back and work on achievements. To pick through all the little details. To listen to and speculate on all the conversations (which is something I love to do honestly).
I look forward to the feature patch(es). They come with new things to fiddle with. I’m still working on filling my wardrobe from the last one. I intentionally made new characters to hunt traits with, and I’m not done with that yet.
Maybe it’s just that I don’t play 8 hours a day, but even when I do play all day on weekends, I never find myself lacking something to do. Even if it’s just running the same dungeon 10 times with my guildies. You’d think I’d get bored, but it does’t. I go and I run around EotM, getting my kitten handed to me for hours on end, and I don’t find myself bored (maybe a little flustered). I don’t know, maybe I’m just broken.
Still, it’s unrealistic to think that “this is all we’re going to get.” They’ve told us a lot of things they plan on doing / want to do. They have a whole to do list to work on. I’m sure not all of it will be possible because that’s just how development works. Sure, I’d like to see a new dungeon at some point, but I’d like it done well and have it fit into the storyline too, so I’m not going to hound them about it. I know how much I hate being hounded when I’m working on a project, I can’t imagine that they like it any better.
Maybe I just have more patience….
i may be wrong but from what I remember they essentially said at the time of LS that no expansions were being worked on, and that expansion like content would be released through living story.
Before LS, they said they had people working on big projects and they werent sure how they were going to introduce them, whether through expansions or releases. However this was all a long time ago, and many of the sources would be difficult to find now, so I concede my memory may be off on the matter
I recall all of that as well. Originally they weren’t sure which way they wanted to deliver all of their content, they were still deciding. I only recall the statement about seeing a boxed expansion because the last I had heard was that they hadn’t decided as well. I thought perhaps it had been a slip of the tongue, and maybe it was since we haven’t heard anything else definitive since.
Still, these is that rumor about an expansion in 2015 due to notes on the earning brief earlier this year, and based on my previous ‘theorycrafting’ that would be right about the right time for one. Yes, it feels late for NA/EU players, but keep in mind that China didn’t launch until May of this year. Also keep in mind that buying to play is a new thing for them. Rushing an expansion out in China would be detrimental, even potentially disastrous, given that they are trying to get players to buy into this new type of play. So, do we get the short end of the stick in that sense, considering they are trying to keep things synced up? Yes, we sure do.
First, before the Living World first launched a dev clearly said that they’re not working on an expansion but on their Living Story. You wont see an expansion before the Living Story is finished.
To be fair, the dev said that they weren’t working on an expansion at that time. There has been no statement by anyone at Anet that there would never be a boxed expansion. In fact, one of the articles that came out a few months back (might have been with Mike Z, don’t recall now) stated that we would see a boxed expansion in the future. While this might have changed, I’ll reiterate that there has not been any official statement that we would not have boxed expansions.
I don’t want to say they’ll never work on an expansion, and I hope they do work on an expansion. But we wont see one until the Living Story has finished, that’s for sure.
From the comments made in the twitch stream about the journal, I don’t believe there are any plans for the LS to finish. They referred to it as a “never ending story.” However, I can easily see them using LS to lay the ground work (like it’s doing now) for the next storyline of an expansion. LS would still continue after the expansion is launched, but it would take our characters on ‘side quests’ so to speak, while the main plot continued through the expansion content. After ‘x’ amount of time the LS swings back to build up to the next expansion story line, etc and so on. Will they actually do this? Don’t know, but I think it’d be an excellent approach to appeasing both crowds.
If you keep hearing about the same problems over and over again, instead of ignoring them as complainers, maybe you should say hmm… this keeps popping up, maybe there is some problems here.
The fact that you keep hearing about the same problems in life, generally they tell you to do something about it, not just accept it and let it get worse. But everyone has a different strategy.
As far as the move on thing, no worries, people are doing it with or without your advice. Im slightly different i suppose, in that i want to be sure I can say that i actually tried myself to let them know what i see happening. They can ignore it, decide it doesnt matter, etc, on their own, but i will know that i tried to give them the info on the situation.
Also know, this is a forum, the purpose of a forum is to discuss contentious topics and exchange ideas, What do you expect to be on a forum other than discussions about relevant opinions on the state of the game, pro and con?
If you just want everyone to shut up and not say anything, why go to a forum?
We heard for years and years that GW1 was bad. That it sucked. That it was going to die. Etc, etc. Yet it’s still kicking. Just because there are complaints (repeatedly) doesn’t mean something is wrong overall necessarily. It just means that one size really doesn’t suit all, especially in the case of games, and that’s really what we’re seeing here in a lot of cases. (Not all, but many).
While it is all well and good to come to a forum to offer feedback, people need to understand that the devs aren’t going to necessarily take everything we as players recommend as “must do, must add” features. We aren’t the developers. We don’t know where they are taking the game, what the final vision is. Just because we “think” something is right for the game because that’s how we play, doesn’t mean it necessarily is. Maybe it doesn’t fit in their grand scheme, so they don’t do it. Then we start seeing the repeated “this sucks” “they dont know wtf they are doing” “this game is going to die” threads. As I said, it really is as simple as not all games are for all people. A lot of people like the game, a lot of people do not.
It is nice that we do have some influence on the game with our suggestions, but people also need to understand just how much time some of their “simple” suggestions actually take to code and test. People seem to think that development is easy, and it’s not. Especially on this large a scale. I welcome people to go try their hand at it. In the mean time we get threads like this one, kittening that it’s not enough. That LS takes up too much of the team, when the LS team consists of 20 people out of 300+.
When they do try to give us content more often (which we have to admit is one of the biggest kittenes with every game), we slap them in the face. Its not good enough. The story sucks. Its buggy. “Quality over quantity” Then those exact same people kitten when they don’t get anything new for a few months.
Anet is in a lose / lose scenario trying to cater to these types of people. While yes, the game has it’s issues, and yes content cannot be developed as fast as people consume it, that doesn’t necessarily mean they are doing something wrong necessarily. Yes, they provide an entertainment service, in the form of a game; however, it is up to the player to find their enjoyment within what is offered, or not, as they choose. It is not on Anet’s shoulders to hold the players hand and spoon feed the game to them as everyone finds different things enjoyable and entertaining. If the person cannot find their enjoyment factor within what is being offered (either now or in future additions), then perhaps the game just isn’t for them. That’s just how it is and people just refuse to understand that.

Ugh, I am so tired of these threads. Same kitten, different day.
“It’s not enough”
“This sucks”
“Anet doesn’t know what they’re doing”
“They need to give us mounts, housing, dueling, open world pvp, etc (take your pick)”
You know what, if you don’t like the game, move on.
I get it that some people want it to be this or that, but it’s not and you’re unhappy. You guys aren’t the developers, you aren’t the ones making the game. If you don’t like it, that’s just how it goes. I don’t like Tera, you don’t see me kittening about it on their forums. Not all games are for all people, and sometimes we purchase something that just doesn’t work out.
“But there aren’t any other games out right now”
That’s not Anet’s fault. You need to find something to entertain yourself, and there are a lot of options out there to do that with.
No. Personally I am not bored with the game, nor am I bored with MMOs. Of course, I’m also not one of those people that has all day to play either, nor am I someone that has to min/max as it’s not my play style. Admittedly, I do tend to do more math and figuring than I typically prefer and have a rather large excel sheet for all the various things for my characters., but that’s pretty typical too when I get invested in a game.
It was released on the 28th August 2012. It won’t be 2 years old for another week and a half and they probably won’t announce what they’re doing (if anything) until just before then.

Ah heck, why not
Here’s my original asura…. She doesn’t do high fashion. She’s much more practical in her perfect kind of way.
Those players that want to actually be playing wvw are better off going to their BL or EB and actually doing something that impacts their match.
But then they couldn’t kill a zerg of uplevels and feel superior.
With arrow carts none the less because they don’t actually want to fight them. Go figure…
It is called bag farming…….
That’s what they all it…. that’s not why they actually do it though….

I’m still holding to my original statement that if we see an expansion, it’ll like be in 2015. I am hopeful that the LS is setting the ground work for the story of the expansion. We’ll see.
I just chuckle at the people in [EotM]. Yes, they want to “take back” EotM “for wvw” and I have to ask….“and do what with it?” Sure it functions like WvW, but it has absolutely no meaning to it. Most WvWers dont consider it a true WvW map because it has absolutely no bearing on the WvW matches. Unless that changes (at which point it just becomes yet another map that needs coverage), their view on it isn’t going to either. Those players that want to actually be playing wvw are better off going to their BL or EB and actually doing something that impacts their match.
Orpheal…. have you visited the pvp or wvw forums lately? These is a lot of kittening in those forums about PvE being the ‘favored mode’ “PvE gets all the content”
There is nothing wrong with have some unique items to the various modes. As long as they are cosmetic and optional, they function as a means of enticing people to try something outside their comfort zone. Nothing wrong with that. However, it needs to be kept to a minimum.
For the most part, yes the vast majority of skins should be readily available to all no matter what mode they play – pvp, pve, wvw – and with the addition of the reward tracks, it seems like they might be working in that general direction, at least partially. Obviously wvw still needs some love in that regard, but they can’t do it all at once.
Look! It’s Friday, and there’s another mount thread! (Does this make two for this week?)
OP, Would you let them make their game please?
This is not WoW. We don’t want it to be. Thank you.
As amusing as this thread is, this really boils down to ‘Anet has the final say.’ That simple.
So? That doesn’t prevent people from having debates or discussions from an academic perspective. Whether or not they’ll implement something is, in my view, irrelevant to whether or not it’s inherently a bad idea.
Except that people have had this same debate….repeatedly. Every time it ends the same way: ANet reiterating why they didn’t, and continue to not, implement, p2p trading.
It’s not like these are new arguments you’re presenting. You aren’t going to change their mind. Whether you think something is bad idea is irrelevant. Obviously, they don’t agree.
Not enough… that’s pretty much where I usually sit at…
The highest I’ve been is 200g and it took me a while to horde that for the title. After which I ended up promptly giving my husband half of it, because he was broke…..again.
sigh
Edit: I probably have quite a bit of gold in the various materials I have, but I use them shrug
(edited by LanfearShadowflame.3189)
Penguin listed the only “armor set” that is pve exclusive afaik. And it’s not a full set.
I would also love to see a fractal armor set, acquirable only in fractals (not as a pvp reward track!) And have it have obscene requirements so that it feels like a journey. I’d also like to see a similar one tied to wvw. But again… a FULL armor set. Not just gloves shoulders and boots.
Ascended gear boxes are gotten through pvp rewards so that doesn’t exactly count. But the wurm armor, while on the right track, is not exactly what I think we all have in mind when we think of exclusive prestige armor, because getting it is such awful RNG.
I think a fractal armor set (maybe having similar looks as its weapons) would be a good idea.
I also agree that wvw needs a couple more ‘exclusive’ sets as well. Something to work towards, to make badges worthwhile, etc.
I don’t disagree with the OP though, pve would need its own ‘exclusive’ set as well. That could come in the form of legendary armor, the return of FoW armor, harder world bosses getting a full set of droppable armor (like wurm slayer, but being a complete set, which anet could still do), etc.
Then each mode, or major game play component, would offer something “worth chasing.” (Theoretically) Just as we once desired to chase FoW armor, or Vabbian armor, etc.
PvP and WvW have gotten the short end of the stick for a while, I don’t see them as being babied at all.
Now, is it fair that they can get the dungeon armor without doing the dungeons? Sure. It’s not like they aren’t doing anything for it. They still have to play their chosen mode. It’s not any different than strict pvpers obtaining pve skins via balth faction in GW1. Same concept.
Then why is it fair that there are (or rather will be again) PvP-only armors? Why wouldn’t there be a way for PvE plyers to work for it? And not by crafting, but by questing (as that should be the PvE way of getting stuff, not that mindless farming that is required at the moment…)
There isn’t anything wrong with having a few mode specific rewards to entice people into those modes. An armor skin or a cosmetic mini are excellent choices for such rewards because they have no bearing, no impact on the actual game functionality. As with GW1, if you want a specific cosmetic, you grind for it. This one specifically requires a pvp grind. It’s not any different than having to grind a title for an armor set.
Now, that said, I have also stated in a different thread, that while there isn’t anything wrong with pvp getting these 2 skins (1 is tournament prize, the other is a similar version via a reward track), the other modes need to have something similar as well. WvW could do with having another couple of armor skins added, perhaps something to make badges actually worthwhile. PvE needs a couple exclusive skins similar in status to FoW or Vabbian. As Vayne pointed out, PvE does have Fractal skins, which are currently PvE exclusive, but I don’t think that’s sufficient. Not to mention that fractals are not exactly everyone’s cup of tea.
PvP and WvW have gotten the short end of the stick for a while, I don’t see them as being babied at all.

Actually, I think pvp getting an exclusive set is a good idea (PvEr talking here). For those that really want that glorious hero set, it will entice them to get better at pvp and to get into the tournaments. Beyond that, there is a slightly ‘lesser’ version being added as a reward track, which will again entice pvers into the mode for at least a short time. If they really absolutely must have it anyway.
It’s ok that certain modes have specific things to entice people into them. In addition to this, I think wvw needs a(n armor) skin or two exclusive to it. Although, perhaps lets not lock that behind the season tourney stuff, that’d just be frustrating. But maybe if its nice, maybe it would give badges some value?
Yes, pve needs new in game armors too, I won’t argue there, but that doesn’t mean that other modes shouldn’t have anything for them.
and what if you just want to give an item to someone else or is this game made for the greedy?
i sometimes have a weapon that is way to low level for me but a different player can use this weapon right now, if i could simply give the weapon it would improve socialization, for now all i can do is mail the weapon in the hope that given player is planning on wasting X copper/silver for a weapon.
Nothing it stopping you from mailing them that item…which is free. If the person is in your guild, drop in the guild vault for them. My husband and I mail stuff back and forth between our accounts all the time. Guildies regularly leave things in the vault for other guildies. Its not like there aren’t other options when you want to just pass something to someone else.
Now, admittedly, if you’re trying to mail 10 people, that’s a touch more difficult. I’ve said before, and I’ll say again, I think they went overboard with the suppression.
I miss the ability to drop things for others to pick up, it was so much faster in situations where you’re trying to say… share a consumable with your party members. You’d see this often in things like UW or DoA runs.
(edited by LanfearShadowflame.3189)
As amusing as this thread is, this really boils down to ‘Anet has the final say.’ That simple.
…and they have said that they won’t be implementing this, for assorted reasons which that have clearly stated time and time again.

chuckle Now wouldn’t it be fun to get a really tanky guard all dressed up in radiant armor, decked out with chaos weapons and just watch people chase his sorry butt around the map trying to kill him? (Cause he’s shiny and some people are just stubborn like that) Reminds me of good times in GW1 and alliance battles….
Yes, merging the various shards into a single cohesive guild was something brought up last time. Here’s to hoping they got that done.
I’d love to see ascended become tradeable, but I find that extremely unlikely.
Considering with all the chopping I’ve done ove the past couple of weeks and I’ve only gotten seven foxfire that whole time…. no…my luck still sucks, so I aint noticed.
^^ same here. you’re not alone.
How are ya’ll going about it? I know lots of players including myself that park toons at cypress clusters (4-7 trees) and harvest on every toon several times throughout the day. This (in my case) allows me to harvest 500+trees in a day with minimal time/effort.
I have 3…maybe it’s 4… characters that can readily get to that cypress cluster (sort of been avoiding orr on most of my characters haha). After that, I have a couple of characters that I trek around Cursed and Malchors with, then I wander into Dry Top with my ele for a bit. I dont really count how much wood I get. I have enough to do my spiritwood glob and a material promotion almost every day (that I play. I don’t always have time to get on every night). shrug
I find this one hard to speculate on until we can at least see the blog titles. Considering absolutely nothing is known in regards to what aspects of collecting and trading they are referring too, we can’t even really make an educated guess. Oh sure, we can toss out some completely random ideas based on the wants/desires/rants of some, but that’s all they’ll be…randomness.
Considering with all the chopping I’ve done ove the past couple of weeks and I’ve only gotten seven foxfire that whole time…. no…my luck still sucks, so I aint noticed.
So, I’m guessing “Balancing Act” will be a blog on the confirmed balance changes (which the ‘Skill Bar’ portion of the Ready Up twitch has been discussing) and “Command the Rainbow” will cover the multi-colored commander tags. Hopefully there will be more included than just “colored tags” in the latter, but we’ll see.
As for the other 3 in the ‘Competitive Week’ line up….not a clue. I’ll speculate that new traps and the new golem mastery line would fall under either blog 2 (tricks) or blog 5 (prepare). I’ll cross my fingers on having annihilation and/or gvg introduced in this as well…
I love them, and yet I don’t. I think they have too much glow, which makes it hard to see the subtle details, even with the graphics turned all the way up. I love the sleek, simple lines of most of them, and the little shock like white waves they give off as particle effect, but the actual “glow” on the weapon itself needs to be reduced about 25% imo.
Also, @Lanfear, do you also go by Daughter of the Night? Always good to see fans of The Wheel of Time.
Since I think the others covered the follow up questions, I’ll just jump to the one aimed directly at me.
No, typically I don’t….only because too many people (even fans) don’t “get” it. Which, when you come across a fan of the series that doesn’t catch the name translation, tends to make me go hmmmm. And it’s too many characters without modification, sadly.
