The event is only 45 minutes. You won’t be auto kicked within 45 minutes, so no, they would not be kicked and have no need of botting of any form to accomplish it.
Someone mentioned that the people who got penalized for going afk were the ones who used 3pp to bypass the autokick system. I dunno how true that is but if you really can’t be kicked for 45 min while afk then I dunno how Anet actually chooses the accounts to suspend. :/ Which is worse imho since just being afk is a vague criteria to warrant a sanction.

I have to admit to doing this evil myself. I revived a dude three times before I realized he was afk… yah I’m a bit slow. After that, I’ve started dragging trash over to them when I find them

Unfortunately there is no solution to this that I can think of with the current system in place
You cannot differentiate between people who intentionally AFK and those who have an emergency or bathroom break.
In the future, Anet should stay away from handing out map rewards. They should instead give everyone ‘token’ rewards from killing mobs, or rewarding radius karma to those rescuing citizens.
^this.. I just hope they learn from this design fail.

They should’ve just designed better mechanics for the event and not punish players for not playing how they want. I’d much rather condone serial afkers than have the innocent ones penalized for doing something more important than playing through a 50min event without any breaks.

There is an extreme difference between, “Hey Anet, this is broken,” even for the 15th time and… well… this thread. Truth be told, I’m likely going soft on them, for this particular issue at least, because I’ve been in this situation. I once spent 6 hours looking for one misplaced period within few hundred lines of code spread across several modules that caused my program to have 17 bugs yet still run. What really took so long is I didn’t even have the luxury of knowing that it was a period messing everything up.
Now imagine that same scenario but with the offending issue being among millions of lines spread across the hundreds of modules needed for this game to run. Now imagine that fixing it in one section causes a bug 17 other sections. A wise man once told me that programming is 10% coding and 90% debugging. I would usually follow this with, “truer words were never spoken,” but I feel he was being way too generous on coding’s behalf.
But even if we take out the normal stress that comes with the job, we’re still faced with quite a dilemma. If you were in charge quality control and this is how your clientele reacted, would you be motivated to fix bugs?

I want really expensive elite/legendary armor skins.. like around 6k gems worth.. just skins that are really expensive and is only available for like 2 days and race/profession specific. It can be something that can be bought with RL money for all i care (no gold to gem conversion), a new kind of currency or whatever. But it better be the best armor they ever designed and have a very very cool effect, like changing skill colors (like mesmers’ from purple to red or something). Or like a reward for loading up 6k gems for a specific week.

Prev. I’ve complained about the lack of epicness. Well now its Epic, but here is a common problem of GW2:
OVERDESIGN
When players already looks like 120W lightbulbs with 10 different effect item, how would it make sense in the lore? Whenever something new cames out, its an overdesign. More shiney, more effected, more freaking dishousting, or just has a visual that doesn’t even fit in the unique GW2 design, which is already a hard candy.
AION & TERA is still more serious, but thats not a reason to follow’em…
I actually agree there should be like an elite armor skin that costs a hell of a lot more than the normal ones in the gemstore :O make it limited time too.

Astral Projections and I just met in game – Some other things to note: Sylvari don’t have nipples at all, so this is limited to Humans and Norn. I’m still looking for someone that is Human or Norn and has the Medium (or Light, in a pinch) version so we can compare in-game representations. Medium is preferable because as I’ve noted before, for some bizarre reason the Light version doesn’t have actual nipples, just the areolas… yikes.
That’s actually pretty interesting. I thought it would be a placeholder for an armor part that they eventually decided to leave out.. if it’s not present in sylvari but exists on human and norn breasts, then what are they supposed to be? -_-

I think this seals the deal though, if Anet actually filters the “p” word used for male genetalia, it’s safe to assume that they would NOT be showing nipples on a female character model. haha

I hate to even bump this post, but seriously, what is the big deal? Yeah it’s a little weird that there appear to be VERY faint nipple outlines in a very anatomically incorrect place, but you have to strain and zoom and pan the camera so much to barely see them that it strikes me as people going out of their way to be offended. But I guess the world’s still not ready for boobs.
Anyways, I bought the light and heavy sets. Most unique set in game. Reminds me of twilight in armor form but blue. As others have said you need to start toning down the butt capes though. Normally I’d just use a different bottom but there aren’t really any that match this set.
It’s very recognizable for us who turns off postprocessing. I’m not offended by it, just annoyed by the fact that it’s there. Nobody is asking for the armor to be removed or modified heavily as i’ve said.

As far as having the armor removed or heavily modified, I don’t think anyone has taken great offense to it that they demand radical actions. I for one am just annoyed over that circle thing on the breasts that look like areola. If they can just smooth that out and fix the phantasm glitch I’d be satisfied. Maybe those things were meant as placeholders for an armor part that they’ve decided to forgo.. like boob tassels. -_- But whatever it is, it serves no real purpose than be distracting.

I have no problem with exposing human anatomy whatsoever, however, if you’re adding nipples, at least make them correctly.
Eh I think the nipples are my limit at ingame female body parts exposure. :/ Whatever those things are supposed to be, I think they should just remove them. They’ve made us look like aliens with blue skin anyway, wouldn’t be so farfetched to think that those things are anatomically correct for that specific species.

It’s also really weird but for some reason the light version has normals for the areola but not the actual nipples. The medium has both, and the heavy is partially covered but you can still make out areolas.

You are literally making things up and completely ignoring evidence to the contrary. It’s not sculpted anything. The armor turns your character’s skin blue. I posted the proof in image form, you can see where I overlapped two screenshots of the same character with and without it. There is no change in physical proportions to prove your claim that it’s something added over top of the character’s body. At all.
As far as the multiplication of nipples is concerned, I see two. Have you even looked at it in game? It’s pretty obvious there too.
Manipulated screenshots =/= proof. I’ve been toying with my camera on my Mesmer, trying to figure out what you’re allegedly seeing and still can’t make them show up. I managed to get ONE of those white swirls in the armor to line up “correctly” and look like your screenshot, but that’s not a nipple.
It’s called selective perception.

It looks decent, except for the Boots – what are those sharp things supposed to be?
The blue color and effect is nice, but I’m willing to bet I’ll get tired of it rather quickly.
