My warden suddenly refuses to attack. It just spawns and sits there looking pretty.

I’ve tried it on multiple maps. I’ve tried restarting the client. Nothing, it just refuses to attack anymore. I’m a reflect spec, this is important.

It was fine up until a few hours ago. I have no clue what happened.

The previous patch said they fixed it but it obviously is still bugged. But then again, I did choose mesmer as my main profession BECAUSE it was pretty. So I guess I got what I wanted and shouldn’t complain. :/

So telling people to go away so you can have the optimal number of people on a boss calls for a cheer? Dissuading fellow players from joining you so they don’t scale the event up? I hate to quote the manifesto but what happened to:

“If I’m out hunting and another player walks by, shouldn’t I welcome his help, rather than worrying that he’s going to steal my kills or consume all the mobs I wanted to kill? Or if I want to play with someone, shouldn’t we naturally have the same goals and objectives, rather than discovering that we’re in the same area but working on a different set of quests?”

I don’t understand how it’s good to make people leave because there’s already “too many” on a boss. -_- Is this the only way to discourage zerging? If I’m a commander on a megaserver am I expected to “politely” shoo players away from a boss I’m handling?

It takes 4-7 minutes to achieve this. With a small, organized group, you can win 6 per hour.

Fixed it for you. And in order to do the event you have to pay up first.

Well, at this moment, nobody is doing the boss event anymore (at least in my megaserver)

Here’s mine… She really is pretty easy now..

I rushed all the mob achievements for the crown pavilion. I reckon if this bad reward system continues throughout the event, it’ll be difficult to get them in a couple of days. -_-

The mobs don’t even count towards daily kills. -_- so annoying

Lets see, you are willing to pay $12 (1000 gems) for each piece of armor from the gem store. That is $72 bucks for the entire set.

The game has been on sale and costs now $25 bucks….
That is nearly 3 times the cost of the entire game.

I’m not actually looking forward to new legendary stuff. I’d rather have them sort out the current issues with the game than introduce carrots on a stick. And after that give us something more substantial like better horizontal progression, improved guild functions, more customization for our characters etc. THEN more things to grind for.

I’m thinking maybe the mini mystical dragon will be for Dragon Bash…

Why is that cat so expensive? -__- I hope they aren’t planning on making those minis combinable into the mystic dragon mini or people will rage!

I’d rather have the avatar of the gods as elite racial skills for the humans and the mechanics dispersed among the other existing professions as utilities and maybe as a new weapon class (Scythe) personally.

Maybe this is the perfect time to introduce guild halls so guild missions can be instanced.

If not for the cute parrot that comes with the rune of the privateer, rune of the ranger is my top choice as an alternative…

Orichalcum harvesting Sickle (50 Uses) costs 4 silber.
25 Sickles = 1g = 1250 Uses
2500 Sickles = 100g = 125,000 Uses

Orichalcum axe / pick (100 Uses) costs 4 silber.
2500 axes / picks = 100g = 250,000 Uses

The unlimited tools as well as the Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic should be seen as comfort items and not to save money. Remember, you don’t have to think about taking tools with you any more, you don’t need space for extra sickles etc in your inventory and so on. The salvage o matic is so great for doing long trains. You never have to stop at any merchant again. Just great!

Salvage-o-matic maths (just in case someone wondered):
3 copper per use, costs 800 gems.
basic salvage kit (same stats) = 88 copper (25 uses)

s-o-m = 75 copper for 25 uses.
b s k = 88 copper for 25 uses.

this means s-o-m saves 13 copper in 25 uses.

800 gems ~ 80 gold (quota from above)

80 gold = 8,000 silver = 800,000 copper
800,000 copper / 13 = about 61,538
61,538 * 25 uses = 1,538,461 uses.

So, after about 1.5 million uses you can actually save money with the s-o-m.

See, all about comfort, not about the money!

After I got my legendary, I focused on my armor and coordinating my wardrobe with it… You don’t really have much options left aside from making ascended armors imho.

yea they are extremely expensive… I think scholar is still the best option tbh, since phantasm mesmers have better survivability and a really good heal via restorative mantras for an upkeep of health to proc the 6th bonus… but that’s jsut my opinion.. XD

Eh, my comment about might stacks on yourself affecting phantasms is missing. :/ Might be a bug on my end. the 10% bonus doesn’t benefit them though..

I think runes of strength are especially good for shatter mesmers because they can stack might better than us phantasmers.

Might stacks on yourself do affect phantasms, but the 10% bonus doesn’t.

I hear that even with the upgrade to Runes of Strength, Scholar still outshines it when you can maintain the 6th bonus.

In PvE, is pack still better than Privateer when privateer procs 3 might instead of just 1 and then a mesmer can double it via signet of inspiration for her teammates?

With the update on companion behavior, I feel like the parrot isn’t a drawback to the rune anymore… In fact it kinda hits hard. So I guess what I want to know is, is 3 might+a temporary ranger pet better than 1 might, fury and swiftness + 125 precision on a cavalier/berserker build…

Thanks for the suggestions! At this point, I just really enjoy the wardrobe system, so I’m trying to find a way to have fun without being too much of a liability to my teammates whether I intend to play wvw or pve by trying to reconcile looks and function with an optimum build for my choices (without having to spend on different armor sets just for stats).

Also, GS, Sword, Focus and Torch legendaries are now account bound so I can use them on my guardian too when I get bored..

Oh really? That’s interesting. I wonder if the rock dog does too now…brb.

Edit: It does. It seems to be a bit variable whether it’ll get the buff on summon. Sometimes I have to re-requip the signet. I’ll test more to see if it actually gives the hp bonus.

Mine seems to get the buff icon when I summon a clone… and the clone gets attacked

I wouldn’t use a torch and a focus in the same build. In my opinion, focus isn’t that great for WvW but if you were to use it, I would use with Hoelbrak Runes (might on interrupt). I prefer Traveler’s runes for most of my WvW builds but some builds are really based upon the runes that you choose.

Check some of the build threads here and watch some vids to see the style that you like then design around that.

Alright ty! I think hoelbrak has been changed, it just gives might when struck for 10 sec with a cd of 5 sec like strength. the final bonus is +20% might duration and -10% condition duration

For a power build torch is pack still fine? or ranger so it’s still ok for focus?

And as a mesmer which focuses on phantasm damage+a bit of healing via restorative mantras which rune will be better for me in pve/wvw? My equipments are cavalier trinkets, berserker armors+backpiece, and GS/S+F legendaries (so stats can be changed accordingly but i usually use knights for more survivability) with sigils of strength/perception and accuracy.

Traits are 4 (III,X),4(IV,VI),0,6(IV,VIII,X),0

Privateer:

(1): +25 Power
(2): +10% Might Duration
(3): +50 Power
(4): 25% chance to shout Yarr and grant 3 stacks Might.png Might to nearby allies when hit. (cooldown: 20s)
(5): +100 Power
(6): +50% chance to summon a Parrot. (Cooldown: 60s)

the parrot seems to hit hard too and last a long time… could probably keep him alive longer with my healing mantras

Pack:

(1): +25 Power
(2): +10% Swiftness Duration
(3): +50 Power
(4): 25% chance when struck to grant nearby allies Might.png Might, Fury.png Fury and Swiftness.png Swiftness for 10s . (Cooldown: 20s)
(5): +100 Power
(6): +20% Swiftness Duration; +125 Precision

*note that rune of strength is out of the question, it’s too expensive for me. plus I like how both can apply boons to my phantasms/partymates

It IS extremely addictive… I spent so much time deciding on my outfit for my mesmer alone… And even though I’m nearly done (I’m also making rodgort coz the dragon design fits well with my theme), I still spend several minutes a day looking at my character and playing around with dyes and the wardrobes available to me. I’m currently collecting a few more outfits so I can make more cosplays for my characters.
