How do you prevent a stackwagon and prevent a server implosion if it should dip to #4 for a week or two?

Here’s your problems on the tier 2 side:
TC:massive fairweather population, queues are rough and they have lost a lot of their WvW focused strength outside of CERN and PINK
SoS: Anemic NA, but if it’s NA becomes strong it will start crawling upwards in rating. Plus we don’t really have a burning desire to be T1 again (unless the nature of T1 were to change drastically).
Maguuma: The addition of OCX/SEA guilds would help them, but then they’d have to redefine themselves (can’t say you don’t PPT when you tick over 300) and there would be massive infighting between roamers and blobbers.
Fort Aspenwood:I have no idea what their problem is, but I hear there are a lot of politics
SBI: Too many lower tier transfers, won’t be ready for primetime for a while.

Speaking for T2 i want as many good fights with as many servers as possible instead of this ridiculous feast or famine.

TC’s “feast” of course constituting any given week they do not face a t1 server. I wonder if this contempt for more populous servers inverts itself into self loathing in that scenario…

For many of us it does. For the fairweathers it does not.

Sometimes I wonder, in my idle thought-time, if I’ll live to see 2.5 billion people in China and India fighting with each other over who gets the EU and NA people to guard their stuff at night because there isn’t enough of us to go around ^.^
That’s my personal take on the whole long forum fight, there’s only a few servers worth of Oceanic and Asian players and their impact on a 24/7 game. T1 is about those players far more that it is the NA population. Shuffling NA players around would be essentially pointless.

We used to 2v1 BG all the time when they had the population and it worked well. Typically though a 2v1 is on a nightly basis as opposed to a weekly basis depending on which guilds join which map. Also some good fights to be had on SoRBL last night, thanks for the brawls SBI

Very true, a 2v1 doesn’t have to be well organized or coordinated. The scales tip that way on a person by person basis, when SoS is hitting a SoR objective SBI should think about hitting another SoR property rather than attempting a ninja on SoS. It divides our attention and keeps both weaker servers from getting zerged.
Though on a personal note I’m hoping to see lots of single party action in the ruins this week. Holding bloodlust doesn’t take an army and provides some really high quality fights. Not to mention a ton of points without having to hold lots of property.

I still can’t believe ppl actually still care about matchup ppt/wins. I wish we had the same attitude of the EU servers. It would be better fights all around imo.

Different people have different taste of what is fun. For me personally caring for the fights alone would gets boring quickly if there is no higher purpose like ppt/server pride.

I can see the point of view. Even if you personally get stomped again, and again, and again… and again… it’s offset if at the end of the week your abusers lose the points game. A good consolation mechanism so long as the victory types are dispersed.

I think TC has been spending too much time with Maguma. They are starting to imitate one another.

The problem is, any match-up with SoR brings out the worst on the forums. BG/JQ have learned to tune out the SoR trolls after enduring more than half a year of their noise.

From my experience having faced both SoR/TC, TC are superior WvWers and has superior skill with lower numbers.

SoR (The fathers of the Full Map Zerg meta in the North American bracket) are superior is zerging, causing ability lag/mass disconnects/DDoS TS and other underhanded tactics to win their match-ups.

I run a tanky support warrior and I don’t try to get in 1v1 because I simply can’t win it against roaming builds.

Well the simplest solution it would appear is to not engage me in a fight then. If you come at me and try to kill me, I’m going to do my best to defend myself. If you come at me and try to kill me, then start losing and run away, well then that’s just silly. I realize that every server has people who do this, but I’ve come to expect a bit more from TW and the caliber of players they are reputed to have. If I’m watching one after the other after the other, all from the same guild, start running for the nearest tower or keep when they start losing (after they attack me first), well you can see how I’m starting to form an opinion. The other solution has been to call in five others if they are failing at winning. This is constructive, believe it or not, on my part, and urging you to get out there and roam a bit. If you manage to improve skill enough to do well solo fighting or even 3v1 fighting, that translates into zerg pushes too. Running away doesn’t show you where you failed to time a spell or attack properly.
