Mesmer is the most influential class in WvW currently.
Thieves and Eles may rock your junk in combat, but the Mesmer is what decides if a offensive siege can succeed or not.
Second would be Ele due to swirling winds.

What from the elementalist is negated or has limited effect in a PvE environment? Also, the build you are referring to for the warrior is their survival based build. They aren’t glass cannon if they build for healing shouts and rune soldier runes (although I’m not sure if they remove a condition on everyone or just the warrior). Their damage is mostly stationary with 100b as well, which means they take more damage by just standing there, another factor people aren’t considering.
Also, while I am writing this, I want to be perfectly clear that I don’t think either class really outshines the other that much. They provide different things to the team, but they are each equally useful in my opinion. However, I will note that it is much easier to find a bad ele than it is to really notice it on a bad warrior. A warrior pulls out their greatsword and hits 100b, whirl mixing in some shouts here and there over and over and over again. An ele needs to be jumping in and out of stances, laying down fields properly, staying next to teammates properly to provide them boons, creating auras properly. There is a complexity involved with an ele that makes it easier to notice if you are not the best, but that isn’t a class problem.
In PvE mobs will almost always be standing still and a warrior can still be dishing out 25k per 100b with berserker gear + soldier runes, condition removal has limited effect in PvE because either the conditions do almost no damage or are continuously applied, survival in PvE is honestly a joke either you can face tank 3 monsters at once with glass cannon items or you get 1 (sometimes 2) shotted with P/V/T gear. There is nothing bad per say with the elementalist in PvE but rather that the warrior is too good.
An ele could be stacking might for the team 4 might every 9 seconds but that’s still a lot more effort when compared to a warrior who just presses 1 button and provides temporary fury as well, they could be providing heal burst with eruption and rain, but honestly in PvE that is going to do little to save someone, chances are if they survived after you heal, they probably would’ve survived even if you didn’t heal unless you are willing to use up a utility slot for arcane blast.

So how many points does Maguuma actually need to get pass Stormbluff Isle into T2 now?
impossible at this point, if you were to add up the points in the other tiers and compare it to t5 they have a 78k surplus
lv80 Necromancer, all professional skills unlocked, working on the final norn elite skills.
Only a WvW player would spend 10’s of silver on upgrades that have nothing to do with their own equipment.
Only a WvW player would see “Portals up in JP” and drop everything they were doing.
On the contrary the WvW player would say “screw that I need to finish capturing this camp!!”
lv80 Necromancer, all professional skills unlocked, working on the final norn elite skills.
Wow, I never thought I would hear the argument that the Elementalist is actually weaker because it has MORE abilities and MORE versatility.
This game (and most MMOs in general tbh) aren’t about pure damage. Providing boons for your and your teammates, condition removal for you and your teammates, supplimental healing, and conditions on top of the damage you deal is usually much better than just damage.
A 100B Warrior provides:
- High Damage
- Boons (If Shout build, might and fury)
- Conditions (Vulnerability, Cripple)
- Combo Finisher WhirlA Staff Ele provides:
- Damage (not high, but not low either)
- Combo Fields (Fire x1, Water x2, Chill x1, Lightning x1)
- Blast Finisher x1/Projectile Finisher x1 (utilized with those combo fields – if using lightning hammer, even more)
- Boons (Fury, might, regeneration, protection, swiftness – personal vigor if using Soothing Disruption)
- Heals (Geyser, Healing Rain, Water attunement swap, blast finisher in water field)
- Condition Removal (Healing Rain, Water attunement swap using Cleansing Water)
- Conditions (Burning, Bleed, Chill, Vulnerability)
- CC (Stun, Knockback, Cripple, Immobilize)Honestly, in my opinion, it looks like the warrior is less than half a staff ele. An ele isn’t going to be absolutely decimating with damage like a 100b warrior can, but a warrior falls behind the ele in every other category imo.
You are a bit wrong on the warrior aspect and in PvE a lot of the “pro” that the elementalist is negated or has a limited effectivement.
Warriors can provide AoE healing with shouts, AoE condition removal (abet not as good as the ele but its still there).
Even if the warrior falls behind in most non damaging categories in comparison to the Ele, truth is that those factors are better for PvP while being almost worthless in PvE.
It’s not about quantity of pros being compared but the quality, in which damage is unsurpassed.

In 1 month
1. Kaineng
2. SoS
3. JQ
4. FA
5. BG
6. Mag
7. TC
8. DB
9. Rotating server to be dominatedPeople don’t realize how big a beast FA has become. Many guilds xfered here not just the 16 t2 experienced from IoJ.
Where is SoR in this picture
Our server will crash and we’ll be at 0 PPT for 4 weeks straight
lv80 Necromancer, all professional skills unlocked, working on the final norn elite skills.
Yes it may go down to the wire but JQ is going to win, you can already see the pattern. JQ has closed a 20k gap in less than 2 days with all the new transfers finally getting into the server.
Today you can almost see the full potential of JQ, they’re clearly dominating the other two servers, 300+ppt during NA primetime, then comes Oceanic time they’ll fall down to 200+ppt, SEA time they’ll bounce back to 300+ppt, then finally EU time they’ll go up to 400+ppt. Once JQ claim the number 1 spot, watch all the bandwagoners transfer to JQ before the cutoff date, where they will be the supreme kings for months to come.
I’ll hate to say, but I also reckon the people who joined SOS cos they were number 1 will jump to JQ as soon as they realise there will be a new champ in town… then their will be a noticeable disparity between the top two servers.
Pessimistism/Optimmisim at it’s finest? o_o

T1 will stay the same
T2 SOR will remain dominate (50k lead at end of week) until BG drop with probably Kaineng or Maguuma replacing SBI
T3 will just be constant rotations between FA, DB, Mag and Ka
My money is on Ka in grabbing the T2 spot because they have WM who were nearly the entire Oceanic coverage for SBI in the past.

Depends on which dungeon
For AC you can face tank the spider and kholer, but you’ll need to kite the troll.
for CoF you can face tank every single boss by just dodging their skills.
(This is with knight gear)
Haven’t bothered with the other dungeons though as I spend more time WvW than PvE.

not better, but more consistent damage
its just the standard berserker gear + rifle traits.
based on cooldown you can shoot 2-3 rifle shots within a flamethrower blast.
lv80 Necromancer, all professional skills unlocked, working on the final norn elite skills.
Warriors are the god tier of PvE there is no contest, I’m not joking about this, when mobs are willing to take 100% damage of whatever skill you use, the warrior is truly unrivaled in terms of DPS.
Go to PvP however the D/D ele topples everything.
Berserk geared glass cannon warrior hits 35k at level 80 with food, no matter how hard you try on a ele, you can’t beat that damage from the 100b on the warrior. Their damage is really unrivaled in PvE no matter how you look at it, include the whirlwind damge and its comparing a lake to an ocean.

The damage of the flamethrower is actually fairly poor, worse than a rifle infact due kit stats, its greatest strength comes from the rapid attack which can be abused via nourishment or snake venom.
Ever tried the flamenommer build? its freaken hilarious and fun.

Shouts are easier to use in moving battles…
…
Banners are much better when holding a position or fighting in close quarters…This is my exact mentality. My play style tends to be very mobile, constantly moving from place to place, so banners don’t appeal to me so I go with shouts. I do love though that Shouts and Banners are on the same tree; if I am traited for healing shouts, I can always switch over quickly to healing banners and swap slots on the bar.
Plus you get to hear your character yell stuff during battle! There’s nothing better than that
I love hearing FOR GREAT JUSTICE every 20 seconds… some of my non-warrior teammates, not so much. I always remind them though, that they at least get a bonus from having to listen to it. For my necro condition damage guild mates, I can take credit for up to 10 points of each tick of bleed.
It’s also fun to mash shouts together…
FEAR ME… FOR GREAT JUSTICE!
FOR GREAT JUSTICE… SHAKE IT OFF!

Hammer + Sword/shield will probably serve you better than Hammer + Rifle
Because of sword mobility, mobility is without a doubt probably one of the most important aspects when it comes to WvW, although the GS does admittedly have great mobility I just don’t like how it works due to how predictable it is.
lv80 Necromancer, all professional skills unlocked, working on the final norn elite skills.
In my opinion this would only work in small skirmishes, in bigger battles where conditions are flying at you from every single possible direction this build is suicide.
Although 2 endure pains is great, its overkill (defense?) you’ll get much more with replacing it with bullrush.
lv80 Necromancer, all professional skills unlocked, working on the final norn elite skills.
Depends in PvE, shouts are usually better and are more dynamic and work well even if you aren’t speccing for the traits.
Banners however in PvE are really a hit or miss function, they are either a asset or just completely outclassed. In WvW they are phenomenal if you have the regeneration trait and healing stats, each banner gives about 10 players permanent regeneration.
