Being capable of jumping in and out of a zerg won’t do much when you are actually sieging a location with flame rams and close range catapults.

Their survivability is based on being able to kite, while when using siege weaponry flat out durability is much more valuable.

Warriors and Guardians can face tank a bunch of AoE while manning a flame ram without having to heal or leave, which is unachieveable by those 3 classes mechanics.

don’t like it all too much to be honest, warrior boons last as long as most combat situations so I never felt the need for the tactics tree as the other trees had more useful skills.

Although I almost always get tactic 10 in pvp for the immobilization trait.

I believe they were meant as an alternate source of badges for people that don’t like PvP as much
all camping does is make people mad
but then when they come onto the forums they just get laughed at and called a “PvE Noob”
its sick
and I am really tired of it
and its the reason I am not purchasing ANYTHING from Anet until something is done about this

and for all of you campers do something for me
make a lvl 1 alt
and try to do a JP being camped by some enemies
then try to get a group without asking your guild for help…
then maybe you will feel our pain

In other words you want badges without the combat effort, hilarious.
If jp was really made for people who don’t like PvP then it would be a non-pvp zone.
WvW is a PvE and PvP zone, you have to learn both aspects of it.
Go do pure PvE if you can’t stand the heat of fighting other, you don’t deserve to get a legendary if you can’t.

grenades will get the controller off the of the siege, but it will by no means destroy siege quickly.
Mortars are really nothing but a disappointment due to its less than stellar range copped with medium damage.

How to fight Engineers?

I’m not going to lie.
But I can’t see how a D/D ele would lose to a P/P engineer.
Having played them both the ele has more condition removals then most other classes combined.

condition removals only matter so much. p/p engies can re-apply the conditions in no time and do some decent direct damage while at it.
I’ve done dozens of duels against d/d elementalists, I only remember dieing once to a very tanky one and mostly because I did alot of mistakes, got greedy and followed him at low health instead of waiting for some cooldowns to be ready.

I’d say if both players play perfectly, elementalist has some slight advantage, but tbh neither will be able to kill the other if they really want to disengage. Atleast that’s my experience so far.

Except the elementalist can remove 2 conditions when tuning into water (9s)
1 on a water dodge roll (up everytime you attune back to water), 4 on cleansing flame(45s), 1 for each other catnip and depending on healing skills 7 condition removals o-o. And a fart ton of healing skills.

Bunker eles are phenomenal when it comes to removing conditions and the direct damage from the pistol and posion dart from my experience is mehhhhhh.

Food turn flamethrower engineers from weak to considerable.
If i had to guess he was probably going knight armor or precision/condition/toughness
and omnomberry pie + skale venom.

If it was blowtorch then its a dual pistol engineer.
Where all I can say is that you should just try to circle them often :x to make them miss their shots.

I was on my engineer yesterday with a FT, I mostly just pushed the mobs away when they got close to mag, isolating the assassin which we focused down, I think we only had 1 warrior.

Condition damage is the worst path to go down as a warrior in PvP/WvW in my opinion.

The only way to decent damage with it is to get 25 stacks which by itself is easily achieveable, but it only takes 1 condition removal to negate all that, and reapplying said 25 stacks takes way too much time.

Just tested this in Fireheart rise with effigies, it doesn’t work.
There appears to be a internal cooldown.

Also I noticed that sometimes the burning will just disappear without reason, so i’m trying to figure out that cause.

Good wvwvw hammer build?

If you are going on the intent of full control and almost no damage then this will work.

Hammer
Sword + Shield/Horn

10/0/30/10/20
For strength traits go with either the healing or fall trait
Defense 10 can be anything, Defense 20 will be Hammer trait, Defense 30 will be endure pain
Tactic 10 will be Immobilization trait
Discipline 10 will be either signet or shouts depending on your preference, Discipline 20 will be either be movement clearing immobilization or signet recharge.

You can take points out of strength or discipline and get 20 tactics if you like the warhorn trait or shouts but I personally don’t like it.

Utility skills will be Adrenaline Heal, Shake it off, Bullrush + whatever you want and signet of rage.

One very important thing to note is that when using knockdowns is too make sure that the enemy is up before using your next one, knocking down when a person is already knocked down does nothing.

For Armors I usually use P/V/T (Knight works as well if you like crits) gear with melendru runes and bowl of Poultry and Leek soup (hilariously cheap, don’t worry about cost), conditions will be the last of your worries

All I’m reading in this game is dooms-day and nay-sayers. Give Anet time! You guys aren’t even giving them adequate time to flesh out the game you’re just like, “GIVE ME WHAT I WANT NOW!” and when they don’t you QQ.

TLDR; good things come to those who wait.

Let me guess, you use none of the missing armor sets?

If we were asking for a new map, or something huge and time consuming to create, then I agree ‘more time’ is a valid statement. We are talking about armor sets that already exist in the game, how long could it possibly take to add another few types of rings, amulets and back pieces when they were adding all the others ones to the game? No one cares if they share the same graphic, we care that they do not exist at all.

If for some reason it does take time, and we need to give it more time, then ANET can tell us about it, tell us the reasons and give us an indication of how long we have to wait. Instead we have complete and utter radio silence on the topic, and that is why folks are getting annoyed. More time my bass.

The main issue i see about having the rings, backpieces, and amulets with Healing/toughness imbedded in them are incase of the characters like my warrior. Without ascended gear i am able to take run into a WvW zerg and not die while taking them out. On top of it when i did the math calculations for my regeneration i get 608HP/sec so if they add more healing to it then my regen would just start to get crazy.

Unless i am missing some values, the highest regen pr sec you should see is 293 health pr second. That is using the formula from the wiki on regeneration and the exotic gear numbers from the affix page from same.

You are missing many regeneration for a warrior. Healing Signet, Regeneration, Banner of Tactics, Adrenal Health, Armour + Accessories + Weapons

Which by the Hero Panel (cant look at it right now) gave me if i remember correctly 983 (cant remember if that is with or without banner yet). Banner is giving Regeneration fyi.

120hp/s from Adrenal Health (360hp/3secs),
Regeneration: 130 + (0.125 * 983) per second = 252.875
Healing Signet: 200 + (983 * 0.033) per second = 232.439
add those together and you get 605.314hp/sec

This is even with Melandru Runes in place.

The 252.875 health per second you are including from the banner assumes you are holding the banner in your hand, making you a completely useless foe who does barely any damage with the “stab” attack. Also, the “compassionate banner” skill you are referencing only lasts for 5 seconds. Including an activated skill (that requires you to remove all worthwhile attacks) in your regeneration calculations is misleading and an error on your part. PASSIVE regeneration is the primary focus of your statement and “compassionate banner” is clearly not PASSIVE. Your effective PASSIVE regeneration is only 352.439 health per second. You cannot defeat a zerg with this regeneration, and it is not OP.

You don’t need to hold banners to gain regeneration from them o.O

Depends on if you are going offensive structure seiging in this the Mesmer and Ele are king.
Or open field combat where Guardians and Ele are currently the best.

For defending I surprisingly found that the engineers are the best in this category.

For garisson I find that the water gate is the most vulnerable of all the gates, walls being excluded, there is rarely a gate breach on the other 4 other gates when I defend due to how you can blast a cannon onto the gate, similar to a catapult.

Look, the PvP players are already messing up the class balancing with their whining, ruining any decent PVE build and stopping the classes on the lower end of PvE usefulness from getting the buffs/fixes they need. Can’t PvEers have some things too?

PvE players get everything o.O
Easiest access to BiS equipments.
Easiest access to exotic armors.
Best farming methods in the game
Most content update in the game by far.
Legendary weapons are practically catered to PvE even badges of honor.
Only access to Ascended gear until recently

Compared to what Spvp and WvW players, they get a penny every hour.

Cladded my not yet 80 necromancer with every possible weapon that it could use.
Bought every weapon on a lv1 mesmer that had any form of condition damage.
Wasted about 4k on buying rare weapons with intent of salvaging before found out you couldn’t.
Bought every single weapon for my elementalist even though I’ll never use them.

Bought about 10 of each harversting material.
Still got a few thousand left.

Still got enough tokens for 1 more class, thinking of making a ranger or thief to drain the rest of the badges.

Ascended gear is already made with crafting.

People who do NOT play Fractals do not need Infusion slot gear for anything.

They are BiS for ALL content not just flavour of the month (FoTM) the stats are better than all current gear. sigh

You rocking it out with lots of PvE gear in S/Tpvp?
Ever felt like you got your face smashed in so hard a black hole negativity was created of what was left due to havíng 18 less of stat X then the evil now ULTRA COOL and EPIC terminator guy among the other 20 in the zerg you just went Ramboo jumped down into instead of spamming aoe down on them from the keep walls?

Maybe it has now become so hard to do any regular PvE content due to the fact that it is now JUST easier to get this gear then it was before and due to them add more flavour to the different stats on them but still only made it easier to get these items that have been in the game for a while.

Maybe you cannot show yourself in public without these items nobody will ever know or notice that you have (unless you actually GASP play higher level fractals) due to the enoroums amount of shame you feel when people does not see these not visible items on your character.

OH MY IMAGINARY-CREATOR-IN-THE-SKIES you totally opened my eyes as to why these are mandatory, I apologize from the bottom of my heart for even implying that they are infact NOT needed unless you need infusion slots for you agony resistance. I am so very sorrry…

5 badge keep
7 badge stonemist castle reward

reduce all badge bought items by a factor of 2 except the legendary weapons.
Implement Ascended accessories with the cost of the original accessories.

Reviving contributes to defense events.
Damaging walls or gates via ram/catapult/treb etc. contributes to structure capture rewards.
Increase Quaggan capture reward.
Quaggan raid groups attack all camps rather than keeps.
Remove storm nodes ability to damage structures and up the frequency rate of the lightning strikes + make them aoe.
Remove Overgrown Grub, Giant Spiritmoss thing and Mega Shark whatever that is.
Upgrade costs being able to be splitted.

Replace Catapult 4(gravel) with AoE cripple
Replace Boiling Oil 2 with AoE immobilize
Half Arrowcart damage but increase the number of shots fired by a factor of 2.

Hire Patrol adds guards to inner tower defense group as well as lords room.
Raise Guard level increases Lords level by 1.

Remove ability for Trebuchet shots to be blocked by profession skills

~Blocks siege projectiles (ballista/catapult/trebuchet) shots for 4 seconds every 25 seconds in a 175 radius.
~Requires to be manned.

Spent 1m karma
got about 350k karma back in potions which I haven’t used, 44 shard, 3 pets, 3g in junk, 6g in lodestones.

I’m satisfied with this result, wvw gave me too much karma anyways.

Everyone that played in T1 before BG re-appeared knows that WM is one of the top influential wvw guilds in the game, full of dedicated WvW players who spend hours upon hours doing what is necessary.
Sure they may not be all of Kaineng’s powerhouse but they make a HUGE part of it and this is by no means an exaggeration of the servers success.

Look at what happen to SBI when they left (even before all the guilds jumped boat)

Its hard to notice, but it does effect the match ups.
Admittedly I don’t approve of such actions, but this problem will probably solve itself when we get more areas in the game.

250,000 kills huh?

24 kills per day, every day, comes out to 434 days to get the title. That does sound more than a little absurd. Especially for the more support-y and controll-y folks who aren’t set up to throw up a blanket of AoE and rake in the kills.

I would have to agree, that title at least seems like it needs some readjustment.

And as a side note to the OP, I’m not a grammar Nazi. I was always terrible at grammar, but some more well placed capital letters would do wonders in making your post both more readable, and more likely to be taken seriously.

In what universe is 434 × 24 = 250,000?
