What sigil do you use on your hammer?

Nice footage, and like others have said, I’ve learned something.

i use sigil of impact on the hammer.

While sigil of impact is nice i think a paralyzation sigik to boost your hammer stuns another second is better.

i think paralyzation is better for groups, to help keep them locked down for everyon else, but for soloing, the damage is a better choice

Just do what I do, follow a Zerg in wvw and spam your aoes

Maybe it’s just me, but when someone says 2 vs 1 I would assume 2 people jumping on you at once, but like I mentioned, I saw u go against 1 guy then the other guy afterwards, I’m not trying to get at you about your skill level or anything like that, I guess it’s just my interpretation for a 2 vs 1, hope I didn’t sound offensive in anyway

I wouldn’t call that. 2vs 1 , more of a 1 vs 1 while the other runs around for another 1 vs 1

For me personally, I don’t like bigger characters not because my enemy spots me more easily, but because I feel like I can see more with a smaller size. But if your worried more about how you look, maybe the charr is better so you Stand out more so you can show off your gear, and your weapon will also be bigger , but at the same time whatever weapon your going for might look better on a human ….

When I first started my warrior I was aiming towards knights and valk gear, but IMO from experience, I think it’s better to trait more defensively and gear offensively. Most of your defense is gonna come utilities and skills more than toughness and vitality. I run the same weapon set with full berserker gear, but I go 0/10/20/20/20 picking up traits for a more defensive setup. Conditions and burst isn’t really a problem, the only thing that is a problem is healing, but I think that applies for the warrior in geaneral.

would you say that with the 0 in strength you dont notice a lack of damage at all? I contemplated that but was turned off from the 10% less damage on the 100% crit on the axe. I definitely will keep this trait setup in mind because it incorporates the hammer like I wanted to and I can use a sword in WvW with a warhorn and in dungeons i can grab an axe instead of the hammer and maybe put another 10 in precision instead of toughness to get the rifle aswell. Well, compared to a glass cannon trait setup and full berserker gear, i can notice a slight difference, but with my build with 0 in stregnth i can still get to around 3300 with sharpening stones, bloodlust stack will get you that much more, so i think thats still a good amount.

and like you said, i like my setup because i can just swap out my hammer with an axe/shield and a quick swap for the hammer trait to the shield trait

It can stay the same, but can it just be ranged like blade trail? It doesnt even have to fly back and hit twice, If I can throw a huge greatsword why can’t I throw a hammer also?

pve – faceroll, boring to level up in pve, but thats just me cause i hate leveling

wvwvw – it starts getting fun because while everyone is all magical fairy pew pew stealthing raining butterflies on you, your the guy thats just standing there with a simple sword and board, if you dont call that a challenge, i guess your looking for a different kind of fun than me

like slomoshun, i run a sword/horn also,but with hammer and im full zerker gear with rubies, and i think its funny that this is the only setup i have a chance with vs guardians. Gotta have the horn to convert the retaliation and burning, the sword to “kite” them around with the leap, even though for me its more like im going every direction randomly getting them dizzy and hammer to catch them off guard when they dont have stability.

Pretty much the build that ofek posted and I like using eagle runes cause your pretty much gonna get most people to 50% to make your volley hit harder after your killshot and for utilities I like having FGJ for the fury, signet of fury for more precision and a full adren bar ,and bulls charge cause it gives you enough time to land a killshot

Before you go pffft berserker, consider this first. All the time you spend ccing your target with your hammer is time your not receiving damage while dishing out damage yourself. The warhorn is a very defensive weapon when traited, it removes conditions, gives you boons, weakens the target so you receive less damage gives you swiftness to stick to or run from your target. Sword is mostly for the leap to engage disengage , and with full zerker the damage isn’t bad.

The way I’m usually playing I’m either sticking to the enemy nonstop with leap earthshaker and cripples or I’m bouncing back and forth with leap to make my enemy try to catch me instead so I can land an earthshaker

And I think someone mentioned it, when your being chAsed, use earthshaker behind yourself to stun

I don’t have a rotation, I just wing it.

I love this trait playing as a zerker hammer warrior, I hop into the enemy Zerg with earthshaker for a guaranteed crit and swing my hammer a couple times critting also and usually there’s 2 people downed at least and the the rest are pretty low in hp, I swap to my sword/horn with sigil of hydromancy to keep them there another 3 secs and leap away as the other people in my Zerg finishes them off. And I can do this nonstop with the short cd on earthshaker and leap

Well it sucks in PvE and tPvP, you got me there.

But there is no way it sucks in WvW. I did solo/duo/small group/raids/zergs with my hammer warrior and he worked perfectly fine in every situation. I don’t have problems with landing my skills. And you can’t say every opponent I fought sucked because I am sure that between all those thousands there were a few who were good.

WvW is playing against PvErs. Of course it work against them..your acting outside of the expected AI.

wvwvw is pvpers with pve gear, theyre still setup to pvp you…

like how you mentioned, a tanky setup wont give you dps,thats why im a full zerker hammer warrior. There’s always going to be people who will say the damage isnt good or your too predictable because of animations, but with my earthshaker ready every 8 seconds, they cant keep breaking my stuns forever, and once i catch em, everything is gonna hit like a truck.

Get some berserker gear and switch your sword and axe around, now you can impale someone evis and rip them while pew pewing them with your bow just because…. You know what, that sounds entertaining, imma go run this in wvwvw and see how it goes

I run a full berserker sword horn and IMO I feel it’s better than axe. I think axe number wise does more damage, but when your actually in the the fight you can only depend on one cripple and auto attack for damage and I feel like evis has too short of a range where I depend on a utility or shield to make sure it lands most of the time. Whereas the sword you have leap and a cripple and also your burst to help stick to your targets.

How about let’s combine wwa bulls charge and the regular hb in one. You start the skill off like wwa but instead of whirling to them you bulls charge to them, and if u hit u can knock them down and do the rooted hb

How bout instead of the weapon as an extra swap if that’s what you mean, but just the burst skill of the other weapons.

I don’t want to sound negative, but its just my honest feedback, alot of warriors are running gs a/sh and watching 2 going at it is like…. Watching horseshoes I guess, I’m just waiting for someone to land a hb or evis like how ill be waiting for someone to make a horseshoe for the point.

Dogged march - yea regen is kinda .... But the -33 percent with lemon grass is very noticeable for me in wvwvw, so I saved myself some money not going for melandrus and can gear more offensively

Boon hate - never even bothered trying it

Combined adrenal traits - only use it for killshots, other than that I wouldn’t pick it up myself

Call to arms - loving it since I use and trait for warhorn

I’m sword/horn, but yea horn is great for conditions. I think horn, dogged march and lemongrass is enough in wvwvw, melandrus is just overkill. And for the Boons you get each condition always turn to the same boon, you can look it up on wiki.

It’s not bad, it gives it a really smooth skin tight look, almost like samus from super metroid if you know what I mean, maybe I should get a new helm and red/orange dye now

Don’t let people that say stabililty and stunbreaks will make it useless discourage you from playing it. If someone has stability on, why would you dump out all your stuns on them?

Just an idea, nothing to detailed, but what if we have an adrenaline meter instead of bars where one side is more offensive and the other is defensive and it gets stronger the more you move to one side. You can choose to make it go which side you want, that way we can be more offensive or defensive with whatever build your using and giving our weapons more options so we can have a defensive and offensive choice.

I think you should get some green berserker gear and a gs to get all the HBing out of your system, and when u actually start surviving, any other build will feel like a tank build

We should have a daecollo wars 2 day where every single suggestions daecollo made for anything gets implemented into the game and see how it goes. Then Everyone gets a special achievement

Is that the reason why I can’t have light armor on my warrior, so other people can tell that I’m a warrior? How bout they just put a little icon on my avatar thing when they target me to see what profession I am and lemme transmute my armor with med and light armor. Ill even pay for a special stone that’ll let me cross transmute different armor types that cost 300 gems each

im also on the same boat, im grinding for my legendary and cant decide if imma go for my gs or hammer, so atm i just have a ton of mats and gold saved up. if its for pve, im assuming that you would have your gs out more often. I mostly do wvwvw and i was thinking about getting the gs first since i have it out more often because i use it to move across the map, but it seems like your enemies tend to go after the legendary effects more often just because. So im leaning more towards the hammer now because theyll notice it when i land my 5k crits on them instead

Hi, I’ve been trying out all the classes and necro is next on my list, I just wanted a quick breakdown on the weapons and how they do so I can have an idea of how I should play them while I try them out

I’ve been getting super rich in wvwvw in the borderlands because of the skritts. They drop those Large bag of skritt shinies that go for 50 silvers in the tp and heavy bags that go for 10 silvers. I’ve made in the last 2 days probably within a total of 3 hours 100 gold playing one handed, literally cause I’m holding my baby lol. And guess what… Only took me 20 mins to lose it all in the mystic toilet -_-

Everyday I play this game I have to smash my keyboard a couple times because its so horrible, I’ve gone through at least 6 keyboards since release. Aside from that, it’s not bad

so, since my comp cant really handle a large zerg, imma play a glass cannon rifle warrior when i hit 80 since i can still spam killshots. Untill i save up enough gold, i have all the karma and badges to get pvt gear.

so my question is simple, whats a good build/setup that utilizes pvt?

I’ve been playing Around with a rifle alot so this is… Interesting, but I’m Chinese and numbers are suppose to be cake for us, but i don’t even know what’s up with the numbers, wanna let me know what’s going in here?

I was actually doing this with a rifle and gs in wvwvw at first and I found a lb and switched out the rifle, gotta admit it is fun in Zerg fights

Just wanted say this build is fun, but it wasnt really my style, i think im too use to the quick autoattacks of my axe. and just for kicks, i had a rifle with sigil of intelligence so after a little rotation with the hammer, i would throw in a kill shot and get some adrenaline back with volleyshot to start my hammer rotation again.

It actually depends on what the OP is asking.

To get to base 30% crit rate, you need a total of 1,462. 1,042 if you happen to have Fury.

However, to get a flat +30% crit rate at any point, you need 620 Precision.

21 Precision for 1% crit, btw.

the sword actually has pretty good damage (maybe not gs damage but still nice) and i get nice burst from the axe. With mobile strikes and my utility choices i feel like i can be very offensive or defensive without being locked down by ccs

I don’t have much experience in wvwvw yet, my warrior isn’t even level 80 yet, but I’m currently playing with a sword and weapon swapping between a horn and shield. Alot of warriors I’ve ran into told me that it was a waste of a weapon slot and that I should go with one or the other. Is that true?

At first I really wanted to play with a rifle and gs and I still do like those weapons, but I’m constantly playing a sword/ warhorn and sword/ shield in wvwvw, I feel like it offers everything
