None of them give particularly good rewards, I’m afraid.
I agree, more options are NEVER a bad thing.
The best class for a support role in-game is an elementalist.
You get to enjoy stacking might and fury for your teammates, dropping fire fields, ice bows, CCing bosses, and using backup reflects. In short, the perfect support class.
It’ll probably return with a later LS update. Don’t worry too much about it, there’s no way anet would let their beloved hub city die out.
There’s a gas mask skin that may be helpful:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gas_Mask_Skin
A class change feature would certainly be useful to many players, and I’m sure anet would make a killing selling them in the gem store.
This feature is long overdue. I don’t envy those who are trying to get the Drunk title…
The Juggernaut, hands down.
Exactly what Rose said. There is no way to retrieve it short of contacting support. Even then I’m unsure if you’ll get it back. Sorry, but it pays to be careful when deleting anything!
They most certainly will not allow players to trade in older animations for newer ones. But isn’t there also a sort of pride in using the tools that are no longer obtainable.
That’s fantastic. Sounds like you have a great community over there!
I think templates would be of extreme benefit to the entire community, not just stronghold or even pvp in general.
Exactly.
Templates are a big part of any game mode that requires build diversity. Anet made the right move in removing those dumb retrait gem store items and allowing re-traiting anywhere, now it’s time to take the next obvious step.
Many older, worse games have this feature, so I’m sure anet will get to this. Eventually.
I too wish I could select the stats on ascended armor chest drops. Every time I get a Defender’s ascended armor chest, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry…
They would also have to pay a percentage of all sales to steam, and what with all the constant sales gw2 seems to be on frequently, I imagine it would seriously cut into their profits.
User-created content is one of the most cost-efficient ways of adding to a game, and also rewards talented members of the community for their work. So yes please, anet, take a page out of your own book (as was in gw1) and give us the chance to design some weapons!
Hit 130 members yesterday, and still looking to expand our roster, so long as the applicants are friendly and capable players!
Bump! Just did missions today, it was lots of fun
Hey this seems like a great suggestion!
If I see someone playing a class I don’t like in my runs, I could report them for ruining my experience.
Likewise, someone with an ugly dye job or an afro hair style should also be reported for ruining my experience.
Hell, anyone with more AP than me is ruining my experience by making me look bad in comparison, I should be able to report them too!
Great suggestion OP 10/10 won’t be surprised if you are contacted to join anet.
Honestly tiers aren’t really a problem, I’d be for scrapping the lot of them, if some diversity were added.
Maybe we could select from a wheel instead of a linear progression for each category, there are some other MMO’s that have this implemented…
Have you seen what a large backpack looks like on an asura? Try previewing the new wings and you’ll realize why the backpieces are sized as they currently are.
Tank specialization is not coming. There is no way taunt uptime would be high enough to make tanks even remotely viable. Plus, the game’s been out for two years now and all content so far has been easily completeable without “tanks”, so what would adding them to the game accomplish?
Body blocking would create more problems than it would solve. There are plenty of narrow locations that could be blocked by oblivious newbies in dungeons that would cause their partymates to rage and be a lot more kick happy than they are currently. Overall, it would be a negative change, and things are fine now as is anyway.
Do you know why the dungeon community is tiny?
Because open world mindless zerging is already so rewarding. People hear about dungeons being nice income so they come “try” it halfheartedly. Turns out you actually need to dodge, read things, and not just spam 1 anymore.
Unlearning bad habits becomes too much work, so they simply blame the dungeon community for being too difficult and unwelcoming and go back to mindless zerg farming.
Completely agree.
The order of quality of rewards in game goes:
Open world farming > dungeons > fractals
The order of difficulty in game, however, is:
Fractals > dungeons > open world farming
This inverse relationship makes no sense whatsoever and results in a small, neglected and bitter dungeon community. Which is ironic because anet’s stated how they dislike “fracturing” their community…
More options is never a bad thing. Previously people taking cinematic screenshots would have to use workarounds like using tonics to get a good shot. It should be a lot easier now. I’m certainly looking forward to trying it out.
There’s a reason they haven’t announced it yet. The last time it was out the dev in charge of it got in trouble for being too open about the development process and we know that the entire SAB was a pet project of his. So I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
I like the glorious boots from the PvP set. The inquest ones are allright too.
Up to over 120 members now!
Highest is ele or thief, depending on whether the boss is large enough to be hit by many aoes(ele) or small and easy to get behind for backstab (thief)
snip
Will removing the break bar completely trigger a specific predetermined form of CC for that particular boss, or will the CC that the boss is afflicted with depend on the last CC skill to remove the “break bar”?
There’s a limit to how many times one can join the same party. If you recognize his name the second time, I recommend swiftly kicking him repeatedly until he’s temporarily blocked from joining parties through the LFG
It will probably be similar to the gw2 combat mod. Anet’s been aware of it for a while and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s where they got their inspiration from.
The more things are available to be added to home nodes, the better, in my opinion. +1
I think fractals leaderboards would have been a much better measure of skill than cheevos or pvp ones.
If you’re at level 80 with cheap quality blue/green armor, when you’re downscaled you’ll find that many of the mobs have better stats than you. Perhaps this is what you’re discovering?
No, they haven’t changed! Although anet did recently state that there would be a first-person view mode coming soon, so you have that to look forward to.
So you don’t like the fact that people can cooperate with others to help them complete a JP? And this “solution” would fix that? JP’s would be dead within a week lol
I’m not saying that barserker is bad. I’m just saying that the entire group of berserkers is wrong. I run cof with my berserker war along with another 4 zerk wars and it takes two times more then run with just 1 support that gives mights and other buffs
Wow really? A team of 5 berserker warriors takes a long time to run cof p1? Who would have thought, I mean wars have the highest DPS in the game, right???
In fact, they do not, not even close. So what occurred was entirely predictable and unsurprising.
Also did you just imply that warrior’s do not have access to “might and other buffs”?
I would recommend checking out the following links:

The main difference, I’ve found, is that gw1 players can’t stop talking about how much better gw1 is, while gw2 players just play the game
Honestly, the playerbase is generally kind. If you’re upfront about being new, many will treat you with kindness. However if you attempt to join “experienced only” groups or other groups that are selective (whether in dungeons or spvp), you may get some negative feedback and/or a swift kick.
I missed this event as well, as well as the chance to get the star of gratitude
Now im sitting on 20 or so stacks of empy shards and nothing to do with them :<
The worst thing about this path is its unskippable cutscenes.
Personality used to show up in your character screen, until it was patched out. Now it only modifies some dialogue options, but other than that, it’s pretty useless.
I’m going for all the skins in the game even though I’m not going to use most of them.
Including BLTC skins? For every weapon? lol good luck with that :X
Well, considering I crafted a bolt, I’d say close to 2k gold.
Mesmer, as you can just stealth away from any trouble, or pretend you’re a clone.
I’d rather not deal with chill > would be annoying as well as painful.
I’d wish they implemented player housing: sleeping on the streets would be lame :<
I would seek out and befriend the guy who keeps calling out “BY OGDEN’S HAMMER, WHAT SAVING!”
And queensdale would be my home zone
so peaceful there.
It’s definitely not bannable, though it’s also far from the most efficient farm in the game
Sure you could pay tons of gold to transfer. Or you could, y’know actually try to capture the objectives you’re missing, as was originally intended. Doing it at off-hours would make it a lot easier. Or just wait for the maps to rotate until you own the POIs you’re missing.
It seems the name filter was recently “enhanced”, judging from some other, similar posts I’ve come across. Though I have a hard time imagining what’s offensive about the name “Menzies”…
Lotta great folk been joining recently!
