Between this and Last Stand not reducing cooldowns it is no wonder warriors are in a tough spot :/
Save us Spellbreaker

So this skill does not give the listed movement speed increase. Any devs acknowledged this?
I just notice it. I think the reduced recharge is needed. Might help make defiant stance not terrible.
Are you hyped for Path of Fire? So are we! This is a guild for returning players too.
“You lose no rating if they are gone more than 2 minutes.”
I am not sure this is true, but I haven’t been able to get exact times. Usually when there is a DC, I do lose rating. The only time I don’t lose rating is if they didn’t even start the match.
Unfortunately, there are cases where someone is booted and then let back in. That will usually give the other team enough of a lead that can’t be overcome. And you will still lose rating.
I just had this happen.
As I posted that. My own GW2 client crashed to desktop. Oh the humanity.
I wasn’t queued though!
It is pretty frustrating to lose your rating in a 4v5. I understand that, statistically , all solo queue players should experience the same amount of 4v5s vs 5v4s. Over many games it should average out.
But it still feels so bad to see that -12 over something you can’t control. I just had two 4v5s in a row, and 3 has not been that uncommon. I’m not sure I even want to queue a third time tonight.
If you duo queue, you can at least guarantee one person won’t DC(on purpose), but I usually don’t have a partner, as my guild is mostly pvers.
I would rather see no rating penalty, and DCers locked out for a longer period of time, as a deterrent. A day at least, rather than whatever it is now(minutes?)
I know DC’s are not always intentional. Sometimes, your internet is not your fault, but if it is acting up, it would be better for you to step away for the night. And if your mom is calling you for dinner, or something like that, then you shouldn’t have queued.
We should definitely not be losing rating if these dc’s are on Anet’s side.

Returning for the latest episode? Join us in Draconis Mons!
The Mursaat did as much as they could to stop the release of the Titans…so once Khilbron released them…he had them destroy the beings that knew the most about the Titans, the Mursaat. That and I believe it was in the incomplete Flameseeker Prophecies that Khilbron was following(he didn’t know he didn’t know the full one and that he was gonna lose).
But the Mursaat were keeping the Titans from being released to prevent them from destroying them. So the Lich/Titans wanted to destroy them in retaliation for keeping them from being released?
Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Maybe this is one of those Hodor time loop type situations?
Thanks.
“Unchecked, the Titans will rend Tyria asunder. Stopping the Lich is the only real way to defeat them. But there is more to this problem than you know.”
From this dialogue, it seems like Titans are a threat to all life, even the new races.
If so, why and how did they zero in on and kilI the elusive Mursaat? Why did they wipe out the Mursaat as opposed to the Grawl or Jotun or something?
It doesn’t look there is an answer anywhere in the games right now. I hope it is something we can get more lore on in the future.
Where can I find this dialogue?
Is it possible to keep the sounds the same for the wielder, while toning them down for bystanders?
I find The Dreamer’s constant neighing really annoying.
And it is obvious other players run around firing it when no enemies are around just to troll people(You know who you are!).
Maybe make the neighing sound trigger every 3-5th shot? That way it keeps its character.
There seem to be less players with Quip, or at least they don’t use it as much to troll, so I got no problem with that one.

So this question came up in my guild with the recent Lazarus situation. We know that the Titans hunted down and killed the Mursaat when released. But do we know why? It seems that they were serving Abbadon, at the time, through Vizier Khilbron(in GW1). If so, why did Abbadon want the Mursaat destroyed?
“The problem was in the small mob phase it would break the achievement if you ran past the mind tare. You gotta stand in the middle and not run over to the NPC’s.”
That’s insane. Can someone address this?
Also does anyone have a video or screen of exactly where you need to land to not break it?
Can anyone from anet confirm that this is a known bug, because I had the exact same thing.
Had the icon until the smothering shadows phase, then “poof”
I want that mordrem loop
I think the devs had to go home/finish up work.
Did you copy your post? You can still make a thread.
You should have someone contact you in game ASAP. We accept apps after a brief interview to get to know you a bit, and can confirm that you can use mumble.
If you are returning for the ‘Head of The Snake’ update, this is a fine guild to share that content with!
I tested full Zerk vs full Marauder on an all-ascended, raid equipped phalanx warrior recently.
+5 Power infusions on both.
I found that Zerk did 7% more damage while Marauder had 33% more health, under realistic raid buffs.
Hope this helps anyone who is trying to make a decision.

Rank and file White Mantle can be seen fighting alongside Mursaat in Prophecies. Why would they be ok with being seen by those low level troops?
Are they, though? We can see them, because that that point in the story we’ve Ascended, but can the Mantle grunts? As far as I know, there’s nothing that indicated that.
Non-ascended humans can definitely see Mursaat. For example tagging a Mursaat, that is part of an Mantle mob, will cause all linked Mantle to aggro onto you, even if they are outside aggro range, indicating there is some communication between Mursaat and Mantle troops.
Also your allies Saidra and Evenia, who were not ascended, could see them.

I love it when a story comes together!

10 years in the making! Great work Anet!
- Bloodstone Fen: cannot walk in
- Ember Bay: cannot walk in (interestingly: that was the same for GW1; you had to do a story mission to get into the Ring of Fire, too).
- Bitterfrost: you can walk in, as soon as at least one toon completes the first chapter of the third episode (subsequent characters need only talk to the NPC outside the portal)
- Lake Doric: you can walk in, as soon as your toon has completed the first chapter of the fourth episode (unlike Bitterfrost, portal is soulbound rather than account bound).
It would be nice to have a way to walk into Bloodstone Fen from Verdant Brink. Ember Bay could have a portal from Rata Sum.
It would help for my immersion purposes. Which are very important.
I think story mode raids would be cool, like how there are story mode dungeons.
Konig is correct.
I always figured they killed the witnesses, so that Krytans would not know Saul was kidnapped. If it was the other way around, then why did they kill the witnesses?

I get that the Mursaat are amoral, but they always seemed to act on logic.
All that explanation does is raise more questions, but not the good kind. This doesn’t seem rational or congruent to the universe.
I love how well the Caduceus LW story wrapped into the human racial story of GW2, and how well the Ronan story wrapped GW1 into the racial story of the Sylvari and Mordremoth of GW2. It all comes together so well.
The Mursaat/Saul story feels like it just didn’t come together, compared to those examples.
“We need to kill these people, in order to kidnap you, and we need to kidnap you because we need to kill these people”
edit – Which came first here? The chicken or the egg?

You never did the bonus mission pack in GW1, did you?
He was a loyal servant to them… until he killed dozens of humans – White Mantle humans – right before his eyes. He despaired, seeing the true nature of the mursaat, and they noticed this immediately.
The Unseen Ones had made a promise, and they demanded their due. Kryta was safe, and Saul’s most devoted servants could continue to worship and serve their new gods. The rest of the witnesses would have to die, however, for they had seen the true power and glory of the Unseen Ones. As Saul watched his followers struck down, he realized his gods were neither good nor wise.
The Unseen Ones had promised to protect him, but not in the way he had hoped. To keep him from telling others what he had seen, the Unseen Ones took Saul with them. As he faded from mortal view, Saul realized he had not saved his people. He had betrayed them to new, harsher masters.
And he wept, knowing he, a traitor who had unwittingly deceived his own people, would forever be considered a hero of Kryta
It’s pretty clear in GW1 that Saul immediately regretted his actions and would have betrayed the mursaat had they not taken him. In the prison, they tried to “reconvert” him, so to speak, through the methods they apparently know best: torment and pain.
This was actually a pretty good closure to Saul’s plot, with no real contradictions to things.
I did play it. But look at the first video I linked. They killed them only seconds before kidnapping him. This wasn’t two separate events; the killing and the kidnapping. It was the same event.
SPOILERS!!!! Hoping a dev can chime in on this. Or some lore savvy players
Why did the Mursaat imprison Saul?
He says it was to make him their puppet, but he was already deeply loyal to them and worshiped them as gods. What more did they need from him that he would not give willingly?
I was hoping this would shore up that loose end from GW1, but after some thought, I am not seeing it. I just don’t get why the Mursaat’s actions toward Saul could be seen as rational, and what could have motivated them.
I feel like the original plan for what happened to Saul was supposed be something else. This narrative just doesn’t connect.
Videos for clarity:
GW1 https://youtu.be/zNfwRDpM8yE?t=1436
GW2 https://youtu.be/sCg-ZbyCUJU?t=52
Dorian and Hablion were clearly shocked at the betrayal, so I don’t think they were in cahoots with the Mursaat on the kidnapping.
Thinking of coming back for the Head of the Snake update? Join us!

We have recently changed our raiding schedule to Monday and Saturday nights.
I guess people are going to start making Mike O’ memes.
If you have returned for the Rising Flames update, we might be the right guild for you!
Season 3 is here! If you are looking for a group to enjoy it with, this could be the place for you.
We are still active and looking forward to the next season of Living Story!
It would be good to find a way to make raids more accessible to players so more people can experience the content and story.
i.e. – Like an “explorable” mode or something.
Has anyone been using a PS warrior as a tank recently? I know this is a month old thread. If so what build were you using? I was thinking something like this:
Our guild just did this without even getting downed and none of the 5 of us got it.
Happy New year to the community! We are still active and recruiting.
What do you use in place of Night sigils?
Also Scholar runes? In the raid?
Does anyone have a link to a GW2skills or metabattle page for the Herald build that people are using for raids?
I was planning on eventually getting my rev there and want to have a reference.
Thanks.
We are doing Raids now!
We managed to kill the first Boss with 3 Viper Engis, 3 Revenants, 2 Chronomancer,1 Druid and 1 Berserker.
Everyone was using Berserker gear except the Engineers, that used Viper Equipment.
Meta confirmed
Come join us for all aspects of Heart of Thorns. Including Raids!
More likely they hired someone to create a logo for them and they are the ones that ripped off ANet rather than the magazine.
Yeah I would say they did not get their money’s worth.

Yes we will be accepting free to play players. Welcome to Guild Wars 2!
If you are eagerly awaiting Heart of Thorns, know that we regularly have watch parties for the points of interest reveals, like today.
Is there not supposed to be a status message in the top right for the meta event? right now all I have is the tournament of legends. No Ogre Wars. 64.25.33.71:0
Thanks for the feedback. I used the celestial clone death build tonight and it worked well for me. It felt like a good balance of damage and survivability. I think I will keep using it for a while.

The main goal is to just ease into mesmer. All I know about mesmers atm is that my warrior hasn’t had problems killing any of them for the last sixth months or so. Before that they sometimes gave me a hard time perhaps due to lack of experience.
I would probably start out with ranged weapons. No other preference.
Looking at the build in your sig I can already tell that one won’t be good for me to start with.
I was using this one but I am wondering if it is up to date/good.
