Flamethrower’s Air Blast certainly does, since there’s absolutely no downside to it – the Rifle at least also CC’s the Engi slightly, and can be reflected.
An instant rupt instead of the knockback on Air Blast I could probably deal with, but an instant knockback is unreasonably powerful – it’d be an incredible utility skill even without the other utility from the kit.
FT is soo bad and only the knockback is good. If you nerf the knockback you can remove FT from the game.

MM necro is funny against the engi. The meat shield helps to prevent the decap and the direct damage ist nice to kill the engi alone.
switching the burn to deathshroud will give necros the new ability to spike with their condis without the RNG.
since deathshroud gives you an instant fear and you can now control when you cause burning, you can trigger both at the same time.pop deathshroud 5 causing torment,
pop deathshroud 1+3 causing burning and terror at the same time.
thats pretty impressive damage.yes it might not be as brainless as spamming auto attacks to cause burning, poison and bleed, but this change was needed, good condi necros will still like dhuumfire.
+ transfer conditions and it looks like a normal fight vs engi. Spike them from 100 to 0 since April 1980 because they can’t counter that.

Not realy, sinds he didn’t put any traits into his turrets. Its like trying to demonstrate something is wrong with grenades when you don’t put any trait points into the explosive traitline.
I can leave my fully traited turrets in Orr during defense events and even in low density areas of ennemies and they are able to take one or two ennemies on their own (and with auto-tool they actualy last their 5min) depending on what kind of ennemies they are fighting. (Brutes are the exception of course).
Finaly I rather see Turrets improved and fixed before I see any of the abilities beeing replaced by some other gadget like gimmick build.
my wife plays a ranger. She didn’t skilled for pets. Sometimes she goes afk and her panther protects her even against 2 opponents very easy. try this with your engi.
If you take all the traits for the turrets place all turrets around you and go afk in a respawn area you are dead if you come back.

I play five guage condi build (p/p grenades/toolkit/elixir S) and thiefs are more or less best matchup for me. Toolkit is very nice if you are in trouble and protection injection is the thief counter skill. It helps A LOT.

I like the changes step by step. The problem before hambow was, that the warrior was a free kill. Now they are OP but not OP like the Ele was. Changing the balance a bit is perfect, because the last thing we want is that the warrior is a freekill again.

You can stealth yourself or your mates with elixir S which is nice
do not take grenades if you have such a ping. It is hard to land them and with high ping you will miss way too often. I think guardian is the best class with high ping.

Please check the decision once again. It is not funny to use this runes or to play against them. I guess if you remove it from PvP and PvE all people will be happier without it at the end.
It is not pandoras box. Remove them and we all will be happier. The WvW player will also like the decision to remove it after a while.

Well Anet probobly thinks that most people play for fun and use what they think is fun, so they appeal to this community by giving them what they want, its communities fault not Anets.
You say yourself that you played decap engi, and attitude like that only promotes anets support toward decap engi, cause obviously people play it.
I played decap engi just to make the experience.
Sure if the players get an I win button they will use it. But the other player will not having fun. And the player itself could have more fun with other builds without the I win button.
I have a 9 month old daugther. If she gets a piece of paper she eats it and has fun. Some hours later she is crying because of stomach pain.
If I take the piece of paper before she is able to eat it, she is crying.
My task is to entertain her so she has maybe even more fun without the rist of stomach pain.
This is what ANet should do. Watch out that we are not get the piece of paper. And if we have it, take it away from us.
The problem is also that AE does not hit all pets in radius only 5 targets. Played yesterday against Mesmer/Necro/Necro/Spirit ranger in a mid fight. I could not count the pets in this fight.

Please check your data. Please open your secret box and check the numbers. Do you think it is fun to play against people immune to damage?
I played yesterday decap Engi. I was fighting 1vs2 for 6min without dieing and at the end I capped the point against both. We won the game because the opponent team was outnumbered and I feel bad. No fun even if we won.
In WvW many people are using perplexity runes. Please ask them. Do you think it is FUN to play this runeset? Even if the players use it and win fights. Do you think they have more fun as without this set?
Ask the people, ask them.
Ask the warrior if they feel better to beat other classes because they are immue to damage, instead of outplaying them.
Ask the necros if they like to have a zoo fighting for them.
Please Anet look at every runeset and all abilities once again. And please answer to yourself: Yes we should keep this because with that ability/runeset the game is more fun for the user and for the person fighting against that.

You should be able to reflect pin down pretty easily now. Axe warrior is being nerfed to the ground. Without pin down hitting hammer will be much easier to avoid. If a Mesmer is shattering on you from an immob he’s outplaying you. Thief PW is getting a nerf.
Necros will continue to kitten on you. But you need to post in the perplexity thread about that!
Are you really trying to tell me that condition removal is not really needed? Come on.
They should give us something useful against condtions and replace AR not nerfing it and go on.
1 condition removed by tool belt ablilities for example.
It’s much more useful than you’re currently able to utilize it, trust me. But I agree that it is quite under-tuned, for the cooldown.
Cool things I do with it: Glue Shot into Chill/Shrapnel Grenade. Glue Shot into Blowtorch.
It’s also strong when used simultaneously with Box of Nails. A very large deterrent to would be melee attackers. An AoE circle is inherently nice.
A really cool suggestion that’s been extremely popular would be for Glue Shot/Bomb grant Stability for Allies for the duration. Get it? The glue literally preventing friendly units from being blown around by sticking them in place. C wat they did ther?
As another suggestion, I would suggest it gets bumped up to a 2 second immobilize, base. And perhaps stack 2 seconds of cripple per second, base. (Instead of 1)
I play your build and watch your streams so I see what you do with it but unfortunately english is not my native language. What does glue shot into blowtorch mean? Glue shot has a very long travel time and same activation time as blowtorch so blowtorch is over before the glue shot impact.
Same for chill grenade. I do not get the cool things.
I like your suggestions. I do not want a new pin down.

The travel time is so slow, it is unuseable for chasing people. That’s ok because it is designed that way.
But it is also too slow in close combat because every opponent is able to dodge it (and because dodge range is 300 they dodge complete out of this). The small radius and the short immob time does not stop the opponents from chasing me. The effect is too bad.
1 sec of immob (only on impact) and 1 sec cripple on a 30 sec timer, 240 radius, 700 range and very very slow moving projectile makes it one of the worst #5 abilities in the game.
I do not want a new pin down or something overpowered. But Pistol #1 is already one of the worst autoattacks. Pistol #5 is one of the worst high cooldown abilities. That’s too much for p/p in my point of view.

Plesse give engi something against condis. AR nerf was needed but give at least us something we can use against condi warrior, Mesmer vor necro

The only Necromancer that can decap any good is Terrormancer and they have to be terrible to ever lose a 1 on 1.
So a terrormancer beats a warrior or a PU Mesmer, right?
A new player can still go to pvp. He is not able to get the same traits or amu, runes and sigils. He can go back to pve or for his credit card. Works in world of tanks or lol very well
So sPvP is pay to win now. Hopefully this will work so are important for ANet and get patches sooner.

No you cannot. But if your Team is Guardian, warrior, warrior, necro or spirit ranger, thief vs engi, engi, thief,thief, Mesmer you will mostly win in every other map. On skyhammer you will proberbly lose

Clear, I had something similar to that build. I kinda hate being a glass cannon to be honest. Pew pew is fun until I’m focused 2v1. xD
I tried your first build Chaith, good damage but I feel squishy. Maybe It’s me, who knows.

They just made hambow build the absolutely most telegraphed and obvious in the game. You can now literally dodge everything big the warrior is going to throw at you because its the slowest thing in the game. The bad players will just spam dodge dodge dodge and run out for absolutely not reason and get hit with everything while the good players will run circles around them.
Hambow means Hammer and bow. Pin down, weapon switch to Hammer and fun. You can’t Dodge that
every time. And you have not always a Dodge free. The skills are AE for example with a radius of 240. Good warrior come with the stun when you cannot avoid it. Plus even without the stun hambow is strong. 15-18 stacks of might. Tanky as hell because of stances. Hambow is more than stun people
So you mean even if all people tell them this change makes the strong stronger and the weak weaker they will ignore it and try to keep this in silence?
They also say nothing to Sigils for Eles and Engineers. Specially Eles need love and the new sigils will hurt them like a truck.
I also want 4 sigils like the other classes and not only two like the ele :/

Anybody can claim they are a developer because the concept of proof doesn’t exist.
Assuming you are in fact a developer, you seem to show a lack of professionalism and you probably are not an MMORPG developer. One of the most important things about professionals are, they don’t make assumptions about other people’s job UNLESS they have been in a very similiar situation and I honestly doubt you have been, but I digress.
The reason why they don’t seem to listen to the feedback given here, is probably because the feedback here only represents a very small but subset of the total players in the game. With that said, JUST because they don’t do exactly what you want doesn’t mean they don’t listen. The fall of the elementalist and the rise of the warrior and necromancers are the DIRECT result of listening to the so called PRO.
No I am developing web application for the automobile supply industry. I can imagine that it is very hard for them to make all people happy.
But I disagree with you that the current situation is a result of the feedback of the pros.
I agree that the feedback here only represents a very small but subset of the total players. But look at the majority of the player. They have no idea about other classes or the balance. Very good players playing in top teams for a very long time knows why something work and something do not. Player like me or causals are always QQ about the class they are playing. Asking for OP abbilities and want to see other classes burn.
Very good player see the complete picture. If you talk to Engineer players like Chaithh, Ostricheggs, Teldo, Koroshi or many other very good players they do not scream for OP ablities. But they name the problems.
Look at the Ostricheggs HGH video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Hx93LdkAOg look at the way he describes Elixir S at minute 7. He tells directly this is overpowered. And this is his build and his main class.
Look at the streams of the top players. All of them discuss from time to time the balanec and I never see this player asking for the I win button.
I am sure the majority of the GW2 players can not see the complete picture and they should not be asked in balance questions.

They also told us that the do trust metrics and hidden numbers but not good players at this forum like sensotix. So they ‘fixing’ a classes based on sPvP feedback. Tell them Mesmer is bad in PvE. Maybe this will helps. We scream since month about the warrior and thief. Since 2 month about the decap engi and nothing found its way to the patchnotes. Not one bit. So Mesmer will stay out of the sPvP meta and we see in the next 6 month still guardian/warrior/warrior/ranger/thief tournaments over and over and the decap engi will decap the soloQ as well.
This is the type of comment that WOULD make the dev’s not listen to players feedback, and if you honestly think the dev’s do not listen to our feedback then your just plain ignorant.
Comments like this is why I don’t like to visit or comment on the forums much.
I am developer by myself. I know how they feel if they read my comment. But look at the truth. Look at it.
Name me one point in the next patch that is clearly based on our feedback. Most of the things are against our feedback, our requests and our needs.

Many many real good player (not like me) posted in this forum or in the classes / balance section what the sPvP player wants/need. Nothing happend for 6 month. Ok maybe it takes resources and time to create something and collect our feedback. Now they create a bug feature/balance patch and NOTHING is for us.

To be useful to your team you cannot take menders purity as it is a generally god awful trait line for tPvP. Disenchanter is crap when you get in team fights and can easily be blinded completely negating it. Mesmers only decent self condi removal is MOR which requires a gnarly charge up and a utility slot.
That mesmer have problems in team fights is a different issue. Nullfield or Phantasmal Disenchanter is in many builds as far as. The second is also in your build. But a mesmer is not viewable all the time. He can avoid the condi focus very often. The engi can not. Our roles are different but we have the same problems.
but I guess this is off topic now. Still engineer need something against condis but AR is not the correct answer
