I really prefer some of the “cheap” armor for human male medium… don’t like the expensive stuff because too fancy(but on heavy armor it is good; heavy armor should be like that because the heavy guys are the warriors rushing into battle and should look like that).
Lol… periscope and challenge? A challenge of time maybe. I completely ignored that and did all the other stuff which was much faster. And I don’t think it increases difficulty of that periscopes. Only makes you take longer or faster…
I always thought it took too long because they launched you back too far. In total I have 4 audio logs returned for this months achievements and I think 2 before the achievement started.
Anyone doing this because they think they are doing a “hard” mode is kitten and has too much time. People should be happy it got nerfed.
If they want it hard they should go sPvP and fight against some top guild or players… but that probably would be too hard for them and they’d start to whine and ask for the other classes that pwned them to get nerfed. ;-)
Yeah. They should remove it and make other stuff to make WvW more interesting instead. At the moment it is boring.
What about the buffs at Temple of the Silent Storm? Do you think Stillness is more important or Tranquility? I only really started to play sPvP and tPvP a week ago and ranked up from glory rank 8 to 16 or 17 at the moment and played a lot.
Played a lot of the tournaments on Temple of the Silent Storm and I think Stillness is more important. If you have Tranquility and they get the Stillness because no one else in your team cares about buffs and you can only get one of the two and then you lose only 1 point it won’t help that much(if the enemy gets double points with 1 point because he got Stillness… giving him time to get another point).
I don’t like crap like LoL because too many players are playing it(all the 15 million idiots) and I don’t want to learn hundreds of heroes abilities(they could just have made a few and it would be enough to play a game) to only play same boring game mode same map over and over… also heard games matches take longer than 30 minutes… oh and boring rts view where you have to point ant click to move the hero.
Nothing I want to play… makes me more sleepy than sleeping pills to play such boring crap.
Solo queue has no team game. A game mode is needed that forces it, so players are learning and progressing. Can’t have a likeable pvp if average joes can’t jump in and start learning strategy. Right now there is no curve it’s simply jump in and hope your team doesn’t get spanked.
It depends on the players if they want to play as team… but that goes for every game. Game mode is there. You have to capture the points. And they already made some more new interesting maps for exampel the one with the orb(a bit like capture the flage) and you have to protect the orb carrier. Of course you can just go around and kill others(if you are able to) but they most likely will get more points and win if they capture points and you don’t.
Also the fun thing is that there are more strategies depending on the situation.

I only level chars to 80 and then start to care about skin cause lower than 80 you are changing armor as you level up. So I don’t need the low level transmutation stones(maybe for the transmute achievement they still can be used).
And I agree that they might be something that makes people buy gems to buy them directly in store(if they don’t want to farm for keys and try their luck – don’t know if this still is possible but heard of people that made new chars and played story until you got a key then deleted the char and made a new one and repeated that).
It would depend on how many of the basic stones you need I think. If you need really a lot then it would not be “OP” and still people would need to buy the better quality stones for level 80 stuff.
I really would like to get rid of the low quality stones even if it need a lof of them only for 1 of the level 80 transmutation crystals. Still better than throwing the stones away.
That’s why ArenaNet should make story mode soloable(like all the other stuff from your personal story). Then all the problems would be solved. Also people that start later with the game(or have not played dungeons all the time and want to do them later and see the story(and not skip cutscenes)) would not have to look for groups first which seems to be a problem if everone is only farming explorable mode and nobody needs story anymore.
Best elite is “Alt+F4”.
I don’t think it is impossible… but based on luck with the groups if you are solo qing. When they started showing percentages I was at 30 and after 7 wins and no losses I was at 50 or 55 I think… but then again it started with one loss after another not only because it might have ranked me too high and the team lost because of me… there were losses because of leavers or of course we had some of the strong guilds with their premade 5 man groups(they probably could have misranked too low and at the way of working their rank up) as enemies or matches we lost really close.
Really jumping a lot even if you are only in the area where it only shows percentage it jumps a lot like by 5 or 10 every few matches. Was back at 40 then going up to 45 then back 40, 35 at the moment.
Let’s wait a few more weaks. I’m sure there hat to be an initial rank for players that have not played matches and a few very strong teams are ranked too low and need to work up to their real(higher) rank and then it should not happen that much that you encounter the very strong guilds at low rank(of course there are also weak guild my random solo q team won and that is okay).
If first should be possible to make groups that are not of five(meaning bigger than 5 and not a commander needed). ;-)
Maybe sepereate leaderboards: 1 “Who played most parts of the game” for the core achievements and 1 “Who is farmin the dailies and monthlies every day”(like playing the game a lot but you can’t be sure if he is playing every part of the game).
They should make a title… don’t think there will be that much new jumping puzzles and I agree: They could handle it like “been there done that”.
Also in long term future I think there will be other continents with a totally new set of jumping puzzles and of course then they should have their own title and jumping puzzle categories grouped by continend(and then it is even more unlikely that the old continent will get new stuff once we reached that point in time).
Either the leaderboards are also suppost how long and often someone is playing the game and if he is playing it every day(then it would be okay as ist is) or it only should show the other achievements that are not daily and can be done by everyone.
I really think dailies should not be there since they already set a limit to stuff like Agent of Entropy.
Instead of lettin gothers complete past dailies they should remove the achivement points from past dailies. The rewards are enough.
Yeah duels should be implemented. At the moment players are abusing the 5 vs. 5 or 8 vs. 8 hotjoin sPvP servers and then complaining if someone else is joining and want to play a real sPvP match.
Would not hurt to implement duels and I’m sure it is not that hard to implement it. We have WvW 3 faction(3 servers) fighting each other and we already have different mob types that attack each other and you as the player that attack both(and hostile mobs and non hostile mobs with yellow names). So there should be already a system to make different factions and they probably would use something like that to make the people dueling each other attackable.
And of course there is no reason against it. People saying “I don’t want to be spammed by duel requests” are just stupid. What if players don’t want to be spammed by guild requests or group requests? Should we remove the group or guild system now?
Of course not. Only good solution that comes to mind(and someone mentioned it already): Make an option to auto block all duel requests. I also know similar options from other games that let you block group/ party requests or trade requests. That of course is a must have since stuff like that annoys players if always a popu kitten howing up.
Edit: Also if it only were in Arenas it would be nice too. In the Mists sPvP area we have that starter island. There could be small other islands floating around the main island where you get ported to duel(and you speak to a “duel master” for random people or can just join with a friend to duel him).
Don’t know if it is possible in Lion’s Arch… does not the Black Citadal have some sort of Arena area with some waypoint there? Also would be nice there to make that instanced since we already have Keg Brawl in Hoelbraek and I think other major cities need somehing unique too.

PvE is annoying yeah. You already have here in Guild Wars 2 the in the sPvP maps crap like Svanir(that mobs where you need to get the last hit which can destroy whole matches if lots of people are attacking one mob and it is based on luck) and the Lord and stuff.
Defensive is not always better. Especially if you have stuff like buffs on the Temple of the Silent Storm or the other map with the orb where you need to carefully decide where to go and if to hold more points or to get orb(and defend the person carrying it).
I think defensive is good at the end of the match if it is close and you can be sure that you are able(at least for some time which is enough to win and get enough points) to hold at least 2 points or maybe even 1 if you have far more points than the enemy and it is okay to get to 500 slowly(and maybe farm some kills if all your people are at 1 point only and the enemy is coming not all at same time and easy to kill then).
The leaderbord ratings should take into account how high a team wins or loses… does not WvW have some sort of system that does it like this? (Even if the server wins if it wins only small it might not move up to the next tier/rank).
If a team only loses by a small amount it should not lose too much rating.

Maybe there was a rank 167 on blue team who left… then it would have been balanced.

Look for the percentage. I think only people better than 90 percent are in the top 1000 atm. Also wins/loss does not mean that much because it takes into account against whom you lost or won(and their ranking). 1 small mistake against a much lower ranked team(or leavers that make your team lose) make you lose much ranking.
Class banning is bad.
It is only a certain spec or 2 ever in a class that is ‘OP’ in conquest, so banning a whole entire class full of other entertaining stuff just because of that one spec…. it’s way too extreme of a way to deal with the problem, it’d just cause all the crazy forum QQ style thoughts to run the ‘custom’ arena PvP…
Maybe… if there only were Custom Arenas then. But if there is still the normal hotjoin with the fixed maps and servers by ArenaNet people of other classes still can play.
If they want us to pay the really need to add something more then only being able to chose map and max players, …
Wait… I thought thieves also were op and you only need to spam heartseeker… also I don’t like the necros if they have too many pets. Limit pets and remove thieves please.
If they really want us to pay it should offer more than that:
- Ban certain classes (for example if you want only full match of 1 class for the lulz like that last guild team of 5 Mesmers I encountered in my last tPvP match you ban all the others)
Edit: Also custom map making sounds interesting and if stuff like map editors to edit the whole terrain seems too much to implement maybe only the option to move around the capture points or stuff like orbs or buffs from Temple of the Silent Storm(while keeping the map terrain itself) would be nice.
Don’t alt tab if you really care about tournaments.
The probem is: Even if I don’t alt tab others might do it. ;-) But I think only a problem with the 1 match tournaments probably in a 2nd round of a bigger tournament everyone would sit there waiting patiently for the next round to start and not even alt tabbing for 1 second.
1 match tournament you can do so fast and even if you alt tabbed out and forgot and lost because if it you can just start the next one.
This seems really buggy then… I mean players can rezz and get attacked or knocked back or stuff like that and then go back and rezz again… but if they are downed or dead they can’t.
Should be the same for pets and no uber healer pet lol.
Maybe not 1 hour… but the people always wanted this and the game has been released for months(duel should have been something already possible at release). The fact that it still is not implemented means not enough people talked about it in the forums…
… or they ignored the players for months. If they want players to use Custom Arena they should at least make duel free and not require stuff from the gem store.
The amount of kittengery in this post is astonishing. Anet hasn’t implemented duels, so players are doing what they can to compensate. If they’re jerks about it, then by all means, but if you ruin peoples duels because “hotjoin servers are not meant for duels” then you’re just a miserable kitten.
And because players are doing it like this and are okay with it ArenaNet won’t change anything. A few hundred threads and a few thousands posts every day and soon the moderators would just be too tired to delete everything and on guy would just take the 1 hour of work and implement an easy to use duel function.
You queue for tournament then minimize and read the forums… then you switch back a few minutes later and are ingame and oh crap match already started for a few minutes.
This happenes sometimes to me and I think other players have the same I often see other people that seem afk but then start so play later.
It should ask like a few seconds after groups are ready if you really want to play(if you don’t click it just puts another player in the roster if you click then all people should have clicked and be ready… and then maybe even the time before match starts can be reduced… don’t need 1-2 minutes).
I agree with Obly. Custom Arena stuff should be free and maybe some premium features. you need to buy some of that Custom Arena tokens.
Also duels should not need a Custom Arena… people want to duel and we have the problem with them using hotjoin servers and other people joining and the only thing they can hope for are Custom Arenas where they need to buy stuff because they are not free available?

I also hate that guardian can heal himself(I think one of the downed skills that heals a bit for some time) and just continue attacking me. If we both go down at the same time he is at advantege. Please remove it. whine whine whine(Or I just get him downed first and heal before getting downed and then finish him).
I never see people use turrets. From the beginning I used them and learned really fast in forums that as engineer you should not use turrets(only the few temporary turrets from supply crate).
They were bugged from the beginning in PvE(the other guy above mentioned the fixes… that should have happened months ago) and no one used them because it is only killing slowly not helping to farm fast.
In PvP I never see other engineers use turrets… maybe because they can’t move? And take a full utility slot you could use for better stuff. Utility slot for 1 turret that maybe gets killed fast seems not worth it. Maybe if you can place it(with the trait) at some place the enemy can’t reach with melee against some melee guys… rocket turret with overcharched knockdown shot. But I never tried.
I think ele is op cause everyone says so. Also mesmer is op cause they have been op all the time since release and thief are op cause you need to spam only heartseeker to farm the whole enemy team 1 vs 5(edit: according to others… never tried and I’m a noob so I just believe what the other pros are telling me).
There is no op class in WvW because you run in zergs of 50+ people and every zerg should have a few players of all the classes so it is balanced in the end.
Op or not op… that is only importand for sPvP with small teams where you can’t be sure every team has one of the stronger classes and classes might need to be balanced because of this.
There are no duel servers at the moment. Report the others. If they want to duel they need to wait for ArenaNet to make a duel feature. Hopefully this will happen soon.
I always hear thief is easiest and you just spam heartseeker but I bet if I just made a new thief now and just spammed heartseeker not doing anything else because I don’t know much about the other skills(I play a bit PvE with thief but not trying around much other skills and only staying with sword) I’d get killed more often than if I stayed on the other classe I’m more experienced with(engineer).
Ranking: They should just disappear after some time from the leaderboards.
They would need to play again to make them appear again. Would prevent abuse from people getting the first rank and then not playing anymore because they are afraid to lose and just want to stay there at rank 1.
Rating should stay same. You don’t know how much you should lower if if someone’s skills get lower. You don’t know the people. One might play like a noob after not having played for 1 week. Others might still play like pro even if they have not played for 4 weeks.
Maybe make the first few matches count stronger towards the ranking after not having played for a long time. If they lose in a row they’ll be ranked much lower than someone that played actively the last weeks and lost a few matches in a row.
I really like to use rifle with my engineer for the net shot and overcharged shot. Then the bombs(Big ol Bomb) and oh theres more: The mine and the ram.
Fun how often you can knock someone around… and knock down that holes in Temple of the Silent Storm… but necro also sometimes feared me and made me run down.

Yeah. It’s a joke. I never play WvW that much but even I knew about that situation cause I heard it from others. A lot of people complain.
Why did they make such feature for the other siege weapons but not for the most expensive one – the golem?
Only reason I can think of is that it might be harder to implement because the golem is a moving siege weapon and somewhat different technically from the programming stuff behind it.
I think most classes have 1 elite that can be used often and in a lot of cases and different environments and the other 2 are only good in specific situations.
Engineer is my main and I have supply crate most of the time. Good in PvE and in sPvP. Mortar I think is only nice in WvW(but then again you could just use “real” siege weapons there).
Guardian I liked the renewed focus because I’m soloing a lot(only tried PvE so far with my guardian). Helping recharching the virtues also helps a lot cause you can spam their active effects and then reset the cd to get the passive effect again or activate them again.
Tomes not of much use to me at least not when I’m soloing PvE.
Funny the 30 skill points skill most of the time is one that I’d only use in specific situations and the 10 skill points skills seem better most of the time. But it is okay.
3 teams… that could be interesting as well. Should not be that hard to implement since WvW basically already uses 3 teams maps only with really big teams.
Especially some bigger versions of the map with the orb(I think Spirit Watch was the name) or the Temple of the Silent Watch could be interesting. Imagine all the 3 teams fighting for the orb or for Tranquility or Stillness buff(or 2 fighting and 3rd team planning something else).
Does rally have a range? Or can you just hit some enemy a few times and he can run to the other side of the map and get killed their by one of your allies and then you rally?
I think I saw a few times enemies rallying with no one else from my team getting killed nearby… so it probably has no range. Should have a range limit that you can only rally from enemies nearby.
Maybe 3 vs. 3 and a very small map or more people but still small map so you can see all at 1 place. Then it will still be observer friendly?
Or just don’t care about observers… if you want esports and other modes are better for esports then esports guys can just play esports.
I think deathmatch is boring but I don’t think it will hinder other people to do esports if they just can play the other game modes and are not forced to play the deathmatches.
Don’t leave and ruin their duel. If they complain more or start to insult you then report them. They are doing it wrong. The hotjoin servers are not meant for duel. Duel system still needs to be implemented by ArenaNet.
Instead they should whine daily in the forums… maybe this will help to get ArenaNet to implement a duel function faster.

especially on Maps like the Temple of the Silent Storm which is in tournament at the moment where you also have buffs you need to watch and maybe want others to remind but can’t type because you are in a fight.

By now you should know that your post has no sense or anything of that nature.Low ranks are not stupid. Neither does it mean they can’t put up a good fight. I don’t mind losing. I mind losing when we could have easily done much better.
No Bhagwad why argue with him when he doesn’t realize sometimes high ranks players can be playing on low ranks accounts. That’s not rocket science…that’s playing subtle so no one knows who you truly are :P.
It can be beta players as well.
It’s more likely that a high rank players is playing a new class and then playing like a noob than having experienced players at low rank. Why would a beta player just start now to play or some high rank player play on low rank account? I know it from another game that was free… people liked to make it unbalanced to win because there team was really stronger but the system did now know that because they had a new account.
Of course it still is possible in Guild Wars 2 that this is happening. But I don’t think it is very likely. Especially not for 2 low ranks in 1 team.
Just was in a team with 3 ele 2 engineers and we lost only got 48 other team got 500 by minute 8… but ranks were a bit unbalanced.
Other team hat 5 different classes.
Holy crap. I’m happy that I’m still at low rank where I’m leveling up faster. I heard around 30 or 40 it starts to get a pain. They should have made it per character and then a bit faster… not per account.
And maybe in future some tournaments with more than 1 round with really big rewards in the last rounds… for the very good players and teams it could be become faster with this and others still can grind slowly.
