Then just bind “interact” to something else and “aoe loot” to ‘f’.

I still want to talk to NPCs with F. I can’t find the option to only bind ress or pick up banner stuff to another key. Where is this option?

Edit: Also it is funny to see how people argue against. I lol’d when I read people writing “ofc not you are dead” but when I’m dead and respawn I still get the loot ported to me. Maye they should remove this as well? Not very realistic to have loot appear next to you. Should be real corpses like in PvE then.

So it is about the population finally(or again)? As someone mentioned in another thread: With guesting population(shown at the server list) is only important for WvW.

This should not be the number of currently logged in players. Not the number of accounts registered to this server. Not the number of PvE players.

The “average number” of WvW players.

There could be like an hourly check that also can be used to measure coverage(of course at some random time every hour not at full hour to make it possible to manipulate it – like guild attendancy think is also random I think). Then make this for the whole week.

So you have 7×24 = 168 values(even more if you make it per map) and then maybe check: how often below 5(almost no one), 5-25, 25-50, 50-75, 75-95, >95(near queue – no 100 because few might leave or disconnect just the moment when you do random check). High population and coverage servers will have a lot of >95 and in night maybe tons of 75-95 and a few 50-75. Low population like the “very high” underworld atm will have >95 at weekend evening. Other days evening maybe 75-95… other than that much less. (and servers like Vabbi and other Bronze league a lot less).

This should be used to set incentives to transfer. Of course first you need to make it possible by changing the cost: Cost should be calculated based on population of source and target servers. If you server is high and you transfer to a low server then it should really be 0. If you transfer from low to high it should be extremely high. Medium to medium, low to low… should cost an average amount. If we have 3 tiers: very high, high, medium for example there could be calculated the difference: very high is 3, medium is 1. Very high to medium means 3-1 = 2 = high cost. Same to same lowest do highest is 1 -3 = -2 which is no cost. Between that different amount of costs. Works with higher amount of population tiers as well. – MAYBE: 1 whole week totally free to let it balance after you managed to recalculate the population in a better way.

Of course this are not incentives. Only is like “removing something that stops players from transfering”. There might be huge rewards for transfering but if the cost is high they just don’t want it. Especially if they consider their server a “home” cause they played there since release.

Real incentives should be: Rewards for players transfering. Gems(maybe very small amount), higher MF or gold drop from events, karmas… stuff like that. For guilds also: Guild releated stuff. Commendations or more influence(They could need it since they’ll lose their stuff because guilds are server bound).

Now we have the problem with achievements atm: You can just do them in a few days if you really want to farm them. Incentives should be long term. Small reward after 1 week, medium reward after 1 month. Big reward after 6 months I’d suggest. But only if people stay there without changing to anyother server all this time. And only if they play regularly(count this with some sort of system similar to monthlies that need you to do dailies – they need to play WvW).

They should change it. I know about it and I often press F while fighting. Still it is annoying because sometimes you pick up banners and other stuff(and I don’t want to make AoE loot on another button – please just let us bind the pick up banner key to another button! this is less needed and I’m used to that F which I need all the time for looting).

So most of the time it is only 1 loot bag when I die and shortly after me someone I tagged gets killed.

And there is no reason not to change it: If you just respawn then the bag is at respawn if someone gets killed after you respawned there. So there is no reason to make it harder to pick stuff up cause it usually is easy and the gameplay is not meant to make it hard(it’s not “try walking into a keep the enemy took from you to get your loot” game mode). Now please don’t let it automatically spawn at the spawn – someone might still ress you. Just let us usa AoE loot while we are dead.

And yes: Finishers also are annoying. Need more keybinds. I never want to finish in zerg fight. Just dps the downd guy and also kill some rezzer with AoE.

Also please: Finally change the icons of downed and dead of your own team or some other marker or something that needs to be added. On minimap you easily can see if someone downed or dead. In a big zerg fight if it gets laggy and much AoE you always need to look if there is there is animation and the guy still alive(and I only want to ress downed). But I think we already had other topics about this that are on page 1000+ in this forums.

Bump. Sorry for my bad english ;-) Thread title must be a bit bad but I don’t know how to describe it better with 40 chars.

I’m sure this is a problem for other people as well. Before leagues started it was a bit random(at least if you are not Vabbi always totally at the bottom) and now they somehow decided to make it like this…. if they decide and not make it random they could at least decide to make better matchups and change the colors a bit.

I checked again and some servers even are all the time green for example.

This will be boring and then JP are not even the problem when you check the schedule and see you aren’t going to get another color for home BL the next weeks you just might doing the stuff now and try running with a guild or get the key on home BL and then sneak to the other BLs.

Still it will be boring to be in the same corner in EB all the time. Especially if you can’t push and are defending there most of the time because of a lack of people.

What other stuff can they do than blob? They have huge zergs every map even on enemy borderlands which means they probably have queue on all the maps. And you can’t play people for wanting to play WvW.

They just have a lot more people that want to play WvW… and then capping all stuff because the other servers don’t have enough people to defend.

So everything is green only maybe some small camp that is red or blue – of course all the people want to go to that camp with a blob them… no other objectives left where they could go.

Either stay afk in spawn or running with the blob(which is boring). Glad I’m not playing at such a server with queues on all the map that is pwning bit and at top of the league. I’d always stay afk in bl reading chat a bit waiting for queue to EB lol.

WxP/Ranks and Silence.

They intend to sell gem store stuff because the game also wants to make money. WxP boosters are bought more if more leveling is needed(because of more ranks).

I also would prefer it it was accound bound but I know they aren’t going to change anything. It has more then once been mentioned that it will stay like this.

Now I just try to specialize and get stuff that fits to the play style of my class. AC maybe for everyone and a bit repair and build mastery(first one that increases from 2 to 4 which is 100 percent increase).

But certainly not all the other stuff for all classes… ram probably only for bunkerish char(still working there and PvE leveling to get to know the class – I want only use warrior as real bunker because if highest hp and heavy armor).

At my engineer(which is my main) I’m playing a build with not that many swiftness(just because I like other skills) and took the supply mastery here to get a bit additional speed. (Probably making him into a supply char and get all the stuff even the capacity – should I manage to reach that many ranks to get it maxed).

We from Underworld for example 6 out of 7 matches are red.

How do you expect us – a server where lots of guilds left that does not have players on enemy borderlands – to do the JPs on enemy borderlands where all ther PvP players are zerging to to the JPs for their achievements?

I’d recommend to better balance the colors.

Out of 7 matches it should be 3/2/2 (then it will be easier with JP achievements because you have the other colored BLs as home borderland and more people there – not every server is gold with permanent queue on all 3 BL)
not 6 times red 1 time green, never blue.

Please do someting about it. It is not too late.

Edit: Also it is boring on EB to be in the same corner all the time.

Underworld. A lot of important guilds left before season started – and it is “very high”(not many players joining here cause of high gem cost).

Almost permanently outnumbered buff from Sunday/Monday until reset. Only queue is at reset at EB and home borderlands(but not very long <5 minutes – and only for the first 1-2 hours then usually already no queue again cause players logged already out).

Yeah we from UW defended our keep very long against AM until early this morning. They had a lot more people but we had tons of siege. Several failed attack rushes.

But then I needed to go offline(others probably too we started to get outnumbered buff… people need to sleep, AM has more players that can just stay up the whole night and sleep at day and let others play then).

Too bad we probably will have outnumbered from now on every day 90 percent of the time(at least last matchup it was like this in EB and home borderlands). Only reset people still try to play a bit. Maybe weekend still some at the other weekend days(last matchup I think we had fully upgraded keep until sunday morning).

But not during week. Must be people working and then doing other stuff after work instead of using all their time to play GW2 (and of course almost all important guilds left the server).

Still a bit fun yesterday to upgrade stuff and defend(I prefer defensive play but getting boring fast if most of the time we don’t even have 20-30 man to defend and are vs. 80 attackers).

"WvW Dawn at of the Season" not unlocked

“WvW Dawn at of the Season” achievement is not unlocked yet on my achievement panel. This should have been unlocked on reset. I heard some other people have this issue as well.

PS. I didn’t change servers at anytime before and after the season started.

Did you join a WvW game?

You don’t need to join WvW to unlock that achievement. For me it was not bugged. It correctly unlocked after the start of the season when I logged in to my main char that was in Lion’s Arch(before joining any WvW map).

That’s how it should be. If it isn’t like this then it is bugged.

Repairing is easy. Just repair 1 nearly destroyed reinforced gate by yourself and you already get a lot. Of couse it won’t happen often cause a lot of others usually are nearby. But that is the same with other stuff – some people have problems with queues and other stuff. Sentries and Dolyaks are imo the most time consuming(and mercenary camps).

A lot of running. Of course you don’t need them for the meta.

I’d transfer if there were queues of 2 hours… (but that costs gems). Luckily I’m at at a server with almost no queues cause a lot of guilds left cause of some drama before seasons started – if I knew a lot of guilds joined to increase queue I’d already left before when transfers were on sale.

Most of the players won’t care cause afaik only winning servers in a league get some special rewards and only 1 server can win. If you are not with the top 3 you won’t care. Cause it does not make a difference.

I doubt they’ll change anything this season. But they might change a lot after the season is finished before the next season starts(there might be a few weeks of normal matchups before another season starts).

Also I don’t think they’ll answer. It’s a policy just not to answer certain stuff. Stuff like “removing all JP” is just out of the question. They won’t remove content. No need to answer that.

I think it is only a small increase. Wiki says base radius is 360. With mastery my skill description shows 400. I did not notice a huge increase but I thought it was a bit smaller. Need some screens to compare maybe to see how big the differene is.

I think they did not want to make it to big cause with a already big radius only a little bit is already a lot.

I’d like to have the mastery improved. I tried this before some skill points reset because I wanted to go for something others don’t use. And I liked that according to description you can fire faster bolts.

Now I saw – acccording to wiki, and I checked myself – that you can just get the same with a superior ballista(which isn’t that expensive with trading post).

So with the mastery at that step you only save a few supplies and money which is not a big deal – you could just invest a bit more and also get higher damage and the same effect.

So mastery should be improved. I’d like to see better targeting. If you need to click something far away(ballista has a long range and should be used like that but tabbing won’t work at far away targets for some reason) it is hard to click. I want some unlockable additional skills that can be used like catapult where you choose the direction.

And some more damage and stuff. Bleeding, Chill – like cannons.

No. They did the opposite. Because of the achievements there are more and bigger zergs now so everyone can get the credit for captured towers, …

if only they can implement a debuff that make you take more damage if there are more than 5 people within your melee range……

Or you just siege them with the siege that have higher AoE cap of 50. But nobody is building siege in a zerg vs. zerg fight outside away from towers(at least not on my server).

Small debuff would not work if you were only few vs. big zerg – so you still would need a zerg to fight the other zerg.

Where is Reaper’s Rumble? If the boring inquisition is ingame why isn’t there Reaper’s Rumble which was a lot more fun?

Is there a reason ArenaNet decides only to bring back the boring stuff? Would be interesting to know… since I can’t explain it.

Same with Aspect Arena back then… which was fun because it was a team activity. Most of the activities in the rotation in LA are solo(Sanctum Sprint, Crab Toss – even the Survival…. only after you die you are in a team with others but you don’t really need to play as team cause you already lost – same with the time limited inquisition now).

Or maybe people do not like to play as team? But why are there dungeons then? Instead of only soloable content?

Yeah, is boring and not worth the time. How long do these matches take? More than 10 minutes I think. 80 games… that is fare more than 10 hours for all the AP. I’ll just wait for future living story content and other easy AP there.

Waste of time. If they at least made it only 1 time = 5 AP max for the 8 played games… that would be okay for a time limited activity.

50 too much – only good if it was permanent so you could to the stuff over the next few months… every week one. Cause nobody wants to to 80 games of this boring crap.

Btw where is the other activity that was at least a bit fun? Why did this not return instead?

I agree with most of what you said. Lowering the requirements for meta would fix most of the stuff. 15/19 really is too high. They should lower it so people could get the meta with some “fast” achievements. The other stuff you said was too high(I agree) could be extra for players playing a lot to get some additional achievement points.

Also I’d like to have dailies(like with the other living story stuff) – and per matchup achivements. Let’s say 3 out of 7 days required for 1 matchup achievement(and a bit more other small stuff with higher numbers there). And a few matchups out of the whole season – so the PvE players can’t just farm everything first week and leave(that won’t help with getting them to play WvW).

Send some Mesmers to help the people and they are done faster and can help WvW or leave the map. Jumping puzzle is the smallest problem – since they are the easiest and fastest of the achievements.

So my question is for those who are suffering is why not consider moving to a lower pop servers? If you can’t even play when you want to play what is the point?

ArenaNet finally needs to fix the population shown in the server list – to make it repesent the amount of people playing WvW and not the amount of regiysered accounts(that might even be players not playing GW2 at all).

To lower the cost… there are servers “very high” with weak WvW population.

Also after they make this they should make 2-4 weeks free transfers to let it balance.

I’m glad I stayed on Underworld. With all the guilds that left we now have the weaksest server and only unbalanced matchup atm(seems even Vabbi is strong in their matchup).

Good thing: Only on reset there as a 1 minute queue on our home BL(first hour I think) and 3-5 minutes on EB(first 2-3 hours after reset).

Later no queue and most of the time outmanned on home BL and EB. Which means: No long waiting time. And not that many other players that steal all the sentries I need for achievement. Good thing.

But still that skill lag if the other 2 servers fight in SM… I hate if that healing skill is lagging.

(But in JPs we outnumber the other servers)

I got 20 for doing the first story intance. Then I juste used them in PvP lobby and did not complete the finish but stopped and then pressed F again. Easy and fast do farm the achievement without using finishers.

Yeah but if ACs are used to defend they just use AC to attack or other ranged siege and kill your ACs and then rush in. You still need a ton of other players besides they few players at ACs. AC alone is not enough.

No, I’d rather we play Player v Player rather than Player v Doors and anything that encourages that is great. If I wanted to sit in front of something and press 1 until it dies then I can do that in PvE.

Actually it is more PvD atm cause you take down stuff too fast before defenders can arrive(to make it PvP).

I’d also suggest to buff the doors and walls. Even fully upgraded stuff goes down very fast with all the masteries now.

Maybe also some “defense mastery” and players that can interact with the wall to counter? (Also make sure they don’t take any damage will wall or gate is still up – damaging through gates needs to stop).

(It also will need players to defend then – can still be ninjad if there is no one there).

Upscaled low level players have less traits or skills unlocked. But still seems pretty bugged. I’d move this to the bug report section.

Seems a bit very high. I think they made this only with PvE in mind cause there often are time limited events where they also want new players to be able to participate and maybe this is to make up for the still locked traits and stuff – so they upscale a lot higher. (Can’t see another reason).

No. But ArenaNet can’t do anything. You can’t ban people for playing the game. Even if they remove supply achievements people will do it and they can just stay “for defense, I’m a noob lol” and then you can’t ban them.

ArenaNet needs to change the game. They know it. But they are not doing anything about it. Supplies should be managed different. Not “free for all”.

Awesome. With these amount of trebuchets you can kill a lot of enemies. Great for defense. This is not griefing. I mean the guy still needed to buy blueprints and he is free to do with them what he wants. If you want him to stop take supplies first so he can’t use them and keep the supplies at 0 all the time.

Oh… I thought it was already like this. So what will happen after season 1 if not some servers move down to lower league? Will ArenaNet just stop leagues until it’s decided what they are going to do? Or will just the same league start again… with servers locked into the same leageu?

I think either is boring. Staying in same leagues = boring. Always same enemies.

Best server moving 1 up, weakest server moving 1 down also is boring. It will just lead for the best/weakest servers to getting pwned all the time(while they are weakest) vs. pwning all the others all the time(after they move down 1 league).

Boring. They need to change the amount of leagues for season 2. Like making 4 leagues. Then strongest or weakest servers in silver for example would be in the middle of some other league having different enemies and more balanced matchups.

Or: Just randomize the leagues so even Vabbi could be gold. Just totally randomize how the servers are distributed on the leagues.

In fact it is much easier on a weaker server cause if you get pwned you can retake stuff for a lot of WXP. If you just sit at enemy spawn waiting for a few players to walk out cause you have capped everything else… it will take some time.

Still… 1 rank would be enough. I mean the normal leveling achievement(which takes about the same amount of time if you do WVX – also getting tons of normal XP) is also only 1 level.

While we are at it change the group events achievement to 1 group event(they are much rarer than champions – cause there are champs without group events also) and change the champions achievement to more than 1 champ… this also seemed a bit strange to me… having harder things to be done more times and easier things only 1 time. lol.

why not make: use 1 supply to repair vs. kill 1000 champions.

Disable transfers - delay league start

It’s nice to have free transfers. What is not nice: All the ratings are wrong now. If 1000 players transferred to Vabbi they would be gold. Needs before the start of the leagues some time to adjust the ratings.

Transfers should be disabled then(also during the whole league).

Let’s say 2-3 weeks and start them in November.

Also the 2nd league season needs to have a different amount of leagues with different numbers of servers per league.

Reason: I heard last one in silver will move down to bronze – is this true? If this is true they only would have boring matches… getting pwned in silver then moving to bronze where they pwn all the others. That is not interesting. With different league sizes they would be in the “middle” and get more interesting matches. Think about it ArenaNet.

So how much damage does “reflection”? I don’t think it will reflect the whole damage. Would be pretty imba if you did a critical hit and have high dps build and got all of that completely reflected.

What they could do: Remove badges from AP chests. Make siege blueprints account bound.

And add: Upgrades for badges + karma so you would not have to waste your gold. Would especially help weaker servers where there are not that much PvE farmers financing the upgrades.

Give reward on any kill not only stomping. Even if someone dies from falling damage(if he previously had been damaged by some enemy player and is still “in combat” and tries to fall to death on purpose).

What do we know about these achievements? Afaik only the league winning server gets something special(I think some finisher) so 3 servers will have a lot of PvE players playing and a long queue.

But at the other servers: What are the special rewards for the weakest server in a league? If there’s only some bonus chest with green stuff and a few badges(like now) then this won’t get PvE players to play there.

I suggest something unique for everyone participating. Limited time. So they can’t just say “we do the achievements in 1 or 2 years”.

Some mini and/ or title EVERY new season. Should be a totally new meta like dailies/monthlys it should be “current matchup” / “league season” and require you do do some “current matchup” like we atm need 4 dailies for the monthly. So not everyone could farm it at the first week and then leaving – to get a constant supply of PvE players to play.

New Free Transfers: Problems

This is a big problem. Not so much with the “medium” servers. There only are a few left. But there are servers “very high” at lower end of the WvW ranking and servers “high” at the top.

This only gets players from weaker servers to move to stronger servers(for wins and rewards).

I strongly suggest to delay the start of the Leagues until this is fixed. Or at least make it free vor everyone so some guilds can transfer to “very high” without having to pay that huge amount just to go to some weak WvW server with a lot of registerd accounts that don’t play WvW(or don’t play at all).

The way it is designed it is based on the amount of accounts that selected a world as home world and with newer players coming to the game in the future we might get “very high” everywhere which makes it cost a ton of money. Of course ArenaNet want the money.

But it’s not good for the game. Should be top priority to changes this.

UW = people always leaving if there is some server a bit stronger in rating. Then we are outmanned most of the time. If we are stronger according to rating then we even have queue on EB during week evening(even if if’s only a few seconds… still there was queue sometimes).

It’s sad. If all those farmers just would start to understand that we can’t get stronger like this…. and with them we even would be able to fight against some servers that are only 50 rating points stronger(but at this already a lot stop playing here). Of course the others are 50 rating points higher then… if we are not fighting them.

Could even get good loot.

I doubt there will be good loot against Vabbi. Maybe some karma and WXP from capping and recapping stuff.

Would be more loot in Silver League if people didn’t stop playing. If we have queue and some good commander(some are fun – I like Archi, he really can motivate people to fight for example like Augury Rock back then when he said “pull those precursers out of their a**” ha ha fun and we were fighting them at our home borderlands) then we could get good loot… of course others still might be better organized.

But biggest problem atm are imho the numbers.

Too bad most from Underworld seem to have decided to “go Bronze” and lose to be at top of Bronze League to be able to farm easy then(instaed of being at bottom of Silver).

Really boring. Because of this most of the time there is no commander at EB and we are perma outnumbered. Lol.

Only doing dailies and usually I play a few more hours if it seems fun. But does not seem fun at all these days. I should get some gems and transfer to anothe server. Lol.

On a side note: If we really go Bronze and manage to lose 1 or 2 more ranks(I think next matchup we need to lose 1 more rank or next server to win 1 more… might even work if we perform bad and the next server performs well) I’ll start to troll a bit and waste supplies or trash Golems for the lulz… since there probably isn’t any other fun with us pwning all the other servers then.
