The White Mantle Abomination and the Sloth Trophies do not have collision and can not be removed once placed. Please fix.
Also, If it is not to much trouble. As we were decorating the “throne room” area in Lost Precipice we notice that the two little flame brazers were really off centered. Can the please be centered or removed the ones referred to in the image. The kinda look bad and throw the room off. Normally not that big of an issue but guild halls were for decorating and we can’t move these.
Thanks,
Mireles

Updated for some new spots we need filled due to some departures and resigns.
We need a we need a exp druid for a team that clears on Saturdays.
We are currently on target with collapsing two teams into a single full clear day now. Tuesday’s Team and Thursday’s Team are now locked into single days. We are still looking for a solid chrono for one of the weekend team.
We are hoping to fill this spot and get the duplicate interim runner replaced with a team member before they are ran this weekend and that they will perform well enough to full clear in one night as well.
Well it looks like that spot filled pretty quick. We are taking in members still, especially if in interested and experienced leading their own team, we can staff you. We do currently have plans to create at-least 1 more. Will post some spots if available.
If interested please contact me in game on Mireles Lore.5942
(edited by Mireles Lore.5942)
Filled one spot. We have two more left. Will be creating a 5th team very soon as last nights new team is already very close to clearing in the allotted time and more trainees are approaching experienced status.
Will add more spots soon.
If interested please inquire in game.

Hello,
I lead a guild called XHSA. We have exactly what you are looking for and you are just the type of member we are looking for.
To be brief about our guild. We are a community oriented guild that is heavily based in raiding. We seek out members like yourself that will treat us as a main guild and participate in the community. If you would like to read more about us in detail, please see this recruitment posting. https://redd.it/4fwscn
As for raiding we currently have 4 teams with some open spots that would fit in right with your schedule and roles. All of our planned raids start at 8pm eastern every day of the week. Currently the spot we have available that would be the best fit for is our Wed & Sat spot starting at 8PM Eastern running your Condi Necro or/and Chrono.
We even have an absence on one of these teams for tonight if you would like to run with us to try us out. There are no trial runs on these teams, all of our members until recently have been built from the ground up and trained in house. We believe in flexibility and improving our members skills over exclusivity and arbitrary test trials.
If you would like to read more about our teams please see this post made yesterday.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/lookingfor/NA-XHSA-LF-Exp-Raiders-for-Dedicated-Teams/first#post6120314
Even if this spot does not work for you or you would like a more lax scheduling, we do run many impromptu raids around your hours if you want to jump in for an unscheduled run. More teams will be opening up as these teams have regular successes in full clearing.
I will follow up with you in game or have one of my raid leaders contact you to see if you are interested. If you get this this msg first you may contact me in game with any questions or invite requests.
Thanks for reading, I hope to hear from you soon.

XHSA is looking for some moderately exp raiders to fill some spots in some of our 3 new static teams we have running throughout the week.
To be brief about our guild, people looking to join should know XHSA is not a raid LFG guild. We are a community guild of 200 with 50+ online and repping every evening. Majority representation will be expected as well as participation outside of raids. You can read more about the guild itself at our website.
Currently, we have 3 new teams set up being lead by two of the raid leader duos with the intent of securing weekly kills for members that we have trained into effective raiders from the ground up. These teams are currently scheduled to clear in 1 night per week.
We hope to soon get all these teams enough practice with each other to clear in under two hours. We are looking to get some of the members from our Monday full clear team off these newer teams in place of other raiders that will be active in our community. We are doing this sooner rather than later so the team can grow together.
We are looking for raiders with the following qualifications.
We have the following spots open for our clear teams:
If you are interested please send a in-game Mireles Lore.5942 in game detailing your exp, roles you play, and what spot you are interested in or you may go to our website and reach a recruiter via our discord.
If you do not fit the in the roles or reqs here but would still like to consider our guild please feel free to contact me, we also have alot of impromptu guild pug raids going on all through the week at various times. As these teams start to clear, and free up time slots, we intend on making more dedicated clear teams.
I look forward to meeting all that are interested.

Recruited 3 last night looking for about 7 more.
Summary
XHSA is looking to continue increase it’s raiding base as we are approaching the new raid wing. We are most focused on finding members needing training and looking for a main community guild to raid with regularly. However, we are always willing to accept experienced raiders as well so long they are also looking for a community to join. New or experienced we invite you to become part of our guild, learn and grow with us, and even make some friends to raid with regularly. (This posting is targeted towards raids, if you want to view more general info about the guild please see this post.)
Thanks to the edition of new leaders we have increased our runs to 7-9 runs a week starting at reset with full clears for both wings at the beginning of the week, while the rest of the week is reserved for training where clears can still happen for intermediate groups. Raids are on a scheduled rotation basis where members are notified approx. 3 days before they are expected to raid to confirm their attendance. You are expected to be able to raid for about 2-3 hours. We will do our best to rotate people to get everyone experienced, people that can play multiple roles will probably see more raid time than people with a single role.
Please Note. We DO NOT consider ourselves an alt raiding guild. It is our priority to build a large raiding base within our community with players that are active in our community. While we are open to take in just about any open-minded player for raiding. We are presently not interested in players that are looking just for a raid group, do not have an interest in being a part of our community, or having a guild to be loosely affiliated with to be used to catch a few raid runs.
Minimum Requirements
As we are looking to bring new people in, we do have to have these players be able to fit into a team comp, be flexible, and open to input. As well as a willingness to be active contributor in our guild as we are looking to build up our raiding community.
We do have a metric on our raid roster that measures your role and build flexibility. Having a single role makes it very difficult to schedule you as the team has to be built around you and you will see less runs. While we will accept single role players, you will get the most out of this guild by having more builds and roles you can fill.
Guild Raid Philosophy & History
Training new players for raids is defiantly not the meta and it is rarely seen, especially when pugging. I thought I would provide a bit of background so entering members can know what kind of environment they are walking into. XHSA has gone from a hard line core group who’s focus was to clear the raid as quickly as possible to a philosophy that makes training new people a priority and to broaden the raiding base over multiple well trained people instead of just dedicated teams.
During the first month of raids, we had 6-8 in a core group that were well trained and arrived at a point of downing at-least 2 bosses in a raid night, that group dissipated quickly for various game and life reasons. We were hard pressed to replace these people. The remaining 3 people of our original team decided this is not a problem that we should allow to come about again. We realized we were going to have to change the way we did things. We decided as a guild our focus was going to have to be bringing people into the fold and building them up as apposed to just making a single team to pass the raid in one night every week and just taking back ups as that team needed them.
This is when we started the training initiative seeking players that had been displaced by raids that were more than skilled and equipped to handle them but could not find their way into groups. We realized that there was alot of untapped talent out there that the guild can turn into mutual benefit for both us and these players.
Presently, over two months after we started this initiative, we have a raid roster of about 50 people and have had no issue getting full guild runs every day of every week since we started. The more experienced people can clear Spirit Vale in 45 minutes, Salvation Pass is coming around to having the same effectiveness. We do not have dedicated teams and because of this have players that are very diversified in the roles they are experienced in, making filling raid groups a non-issue even when they are not scheduled. This also allow us to be flexible taking many different people for raids instead of the same 10 people on the same night every week.
We don’t need teams, these raids do not require the traditional approach so many are used to when you have a base of players experienced in multiple roles. Having someone not able to show up does not hurt our ability to run that night. We are very happy with where we ended up and have built a base of loyal and skilled members for raiding.
How training has gone so far
We have had wild success with training. Many of our members that came to us at the beginning brand new have downed cleared Spirit Vale raid bosses at-least once and diversified their roles to allow for flexibility for training new raiders with not so many roles. Our main focus if presently training for Salvation Pass, but there is at-least one or two training runs going on for Spirit Vale a week.
More players of different experience come in every week, and we do our best to expand to accommodate them. It does not take long for motivated players to get into the swing of things, some even find themselves in leadership roles. Usually, once a new player gets their build, we can usually take a small group of people with zero experience with Vale Guardian to downing him within an hour or two to allow them to unlock their mastery for the other bosses. The more motivated players get multiple builds to see more runs and eventually weekly full clears. How much progress a player gets with us in raids is only limited by their own motivation and personal investment in how far they are willing to go.
We have become highly effective in training new people so long as they are willing to take advice and work to better their skills and rotations. We feel that almost anyone can become a raider no matter how casual as long as they have a night they can be on a few hours and the mentality that allows them run a build they are not familiar with and change their gear if necessary.

This is a natural result of a winstreak ranking system with a randomized opponent matchmaking. Right now, because your pip range limitations. There arn’t enough players to even produce a attempt in a timely manner. It may be many more days before you see your queue times reduced if at all.
People at the top will have few to play with at the top because not only will so few make it, but most players will quit before putting in enough matches.
This is basically RNG progression. Your MMR is your magic find modifier for you and your team, and players in your pip range are your opponent drop table. To people with an average MMR getting a win is like getting exotic from 4 rares in the mystic forge and a loss is getting 1 rare back. To see any progression getting an exotic must happen several times in a row.
Since players new to leagues start in the average player MMR range, it will take many of us, especially in solo queue, many many tries before we see any progress. Most people are unwilling or don’t have the hours to make that many attempts will stall before they get to a higher division or just quit at some point.
Many like myself stop at ruby and aren’t going back this season. The statistical probability of reaching diamond across that many pips is really low and there for probably isn’t worth the time investment when it could all be lost so quickly.
(edited by Mireles Lore.5942)
I think it is kind of a blind assumption that only high skilled players are shooting up to leagues.
I know new players that never played a day of PvP that won streak all the way to mid sapphire. They had the appropriate MMR to be matched with decent players from the get go.
Leagues are a game of luck this season. You play and hope your wins and losses are ordered in a way that permits optimal pip progression.
IE. Take two players in a division that can lose pips.
Player one plays 10 matches, wins 5 in a row and loses 5 in a row, he is at +3 Pips.
Player two plays 10 matches but wins and loses alternately, he is at 0 pips.
Does that mean player one is more skilled than player two?
Player one stands to gain two pips from his next win while player two only stands to gain one. Whats player two doing wrong that player 1 is doing right? They both have the same ratio of wins while player one has way more progression.
The answer is winning and losing in the correct order. There is really nothing either player can do about that when MMR isn’t considered in opponent selection. It really is luck of the draw.
Doesn’t matter who you played, how you played, or how close the matches were. These were all things season 1 considered. They took a huge step back from Season 1.

Who would of thunk it. Guild content designed for groups of people to accomplish.
This wasn’t personal player housing they were making. In-fact I’m pretty sure what you are describing is what they were trying to avoid all together. I can imagine they want to avoid data and server resources it would take have to store and load a customized instance for each single player that wants a guild hall, and the server resources it would take to have public instances of all those custom instances running simultaneously. That really doesn’t benefit anyone, so the designed it around giving guilds something to work towards and share.
It is working as intended for alot of guilds. Something that guilds could work on long term and make into their own and big enough for everyone to take part in customization with being big enough to add since of exploration.
I have seen some guilds as small as 10-20 people turn out some really impressive halls, but those players played enough to have the resources and dedication to earn it. And, if you are in a guild only the guild leader and officers have decorating privileges, you are in the wrong guild. There are many guilds like mine that extend privileges to the vast majority of members because Guild Halls are for the entire guild to enjoy.

I think alot of the community negativity surrounding the expansion has put people off. It was defiantly more hyped than what 10 months justified. As a guild leader I can see populations in the recruitment scene has dropped and how many inactive I kick a month has increased since November compared to pre-launch.
While HoT delivered alot of things it also broke alot of things. Also the shift in the sudden shift in the target audience coupled with the slow pace of content delivery has many players of GW2 former casual fan base displaced.
If you are a casual player you have no new content coming to you before March 2016.
If you are a hardcore player. You have probably cleared the raid more than once and are wondering why you keep doing it every week. You know there is a raid wing planned before March 2016, or atleast a release date before then right?
ArenaNet is trying to do to much to target to many audiences and I don’t think anyone is at the point of being impressed and many are unsatisfied.
It seemed very odd to me that GW2 was doing so well until they felt the need to do a total 180 on the target audience for their newly developed content.
Whether or not you agree with the mentality of raids, leagues, and their validity of there presence and the direction they are taking the game. It is undeniable that it is effecting alot of sub-communities and players will to continue to be invested in the game very negatively.
I think Anet is trying to do much at once to satisfy to many audiences at once and is really appeasing nobody.

Hello Wolfer,
I run a raiding guild and we are looking to move as many people into raiding as possible. Our members have experience with all 3 bosses, but if you are new we will be starting off with running alot of VG to get people’s feet wet.
Currently our main raid nights are Monday, Thursday, and Sunday 1 hour after reset.
If this interests you, you can read more about us at our recruitment post.

Summary
Xunlai Heroic Service Agents [XHSA] is looking for new members to fill some spaces left from this month’s activity check. XHSA keeps its roster at 200 members as to be large enough to tackle the toughest goals the game has to offer while being small enough to have a community in which members know each other and their contributions are noticed and recognized in the community. Our peak hours are the 4-5 hours after server reset. We offer members looking for a home a solid community, the opportunity to grow as a player, and to make some long lasting friends along the way.
XHSA is a 10 year old, socially focused guild, that holds the objective of building community above all other things. This guild was not founded by some clique of friends you never seem to be on the level with. Everyone was complete strangers when they came in and together we formed a community by reaching out to each other and trying to include everyone. We have members that are centric to the community that have been here for years and also ones that have been here just a handful of weeks. We strive to be a very open and welcoming community that makes it easy for players looking to belong feel like they belong here in XHSA.
Members looking to join should know that we DO NOT consider ourselves an alt guild. We recruit on the idea of quality over quantity membership and are seeking players looking for a main guild. Although we do not believe in mandating loyalty by requiring 100% rep, majority representation will be expected of all members.
Included is a link to our reddit recruitment post if you are interested in reading some testimonials from our members.
Raids
Currently our core raid nights are Sunday, Monday, and Thursday an hour after reset. We are currently looking to replace and solidify 4 positions on our core team due to previous member’s departure from the game and poor attendance rate. We are considering experienced raiders for this team now.
We are also looking for players that want to raid on a casual basis for off days and future teams for a full week raiding schedule.
The raid is usually cleared on Monday by the core team, if not Sabitha is killed on Thursday. At which point on the remaining days, and some unscheduled days, we try to build the experience of our more casual and newer raiders. Our raid leader has shown dedication and patience in moving as many members interested in raids into them. We have every intent to form multiple raid teams. We welcome you to come join us.
Really in this area, we are looking for members with the willingness and resources to be flexible and have a team attitude. We feel that raids are about the success of the team and the guild, not people’s personal preferences or agendas. We may not always be able to fit in your zerker, healer, condi class that you would perfer to run. You will HAVE to change your build or class, you should be ready to. You may have to totally create or re-gear a new class. The more build variety you have the easier it will be to place you and the more preferred you will be for dedicated teams. Members will be expected to have a microphone and teamspeak as well as a few hours when they join for raids to practice.
Fractals
XHSA is also very active in Fractals. The fractal dailys are ran constantly throughout our peak hours. We have a lot of members that ran 50s back in the day and have great experience in the higher tier fractals. These are mostly static in nature and called out in guild chat and ran on a first come first serve basis. These have no requirements other than meeting the AR check, and we are always happy to teach people new to fractals.
HoT Meta & Achievements
The guild is still having a great time in HoT leveling masteries and getting hero points for new elite specializations. You will have no trouble finding a partner to get your hero points. We also on occasion command map metas and pack as many guild members as we can in there. The guild favorites right now are Dragonstand and Auric Basin, but you will also see us occasionally attempt Verdant and Tangled.
We also have some AP hunters in the guild that are willing to assist with story achievements as well as map related ones.
Our Guild Hall & Missions
Currently our guild is level 42 and has a fully upgraded mine to knock out upgrades as fast as we are filling the materials. I will not be long until we have the new guild armor and weapon recipes available.
I am proud to say we have a very dedicated and very generous group of people that have enabled us to move as fast as we can through these upgrades. If you are looking for a guild in which to dedicate your time and resources too this is the place. We have been around for 10 years and have many dedicated people to make this guild great. Your investment here will see fruition and you will be able to participate in the decoration process fully if you choose to become a 100% rep member.
Our guild mission nights are every Friday night, we have between 20 to 40 people show up. We start gathering in the Arena for some good ol’ guild brawls an hour after reset. When we unlock free for all mode that hour will be official dubbed Guild Free For All hour. Two hours after reset is when we start our missions for the night. We are currently set for PvE only missions as we feel these are the only missions designed with mass participation in mind.
Interested?

The 3000 people there sure as heck weren’t there for the “boring as sin” pvp. 90% of the entertainment is twitch chat, 10% is the casters trying desperately to make the game interesting.
The sad thing is, them quitting has been the most interesting and talked about part of the season.
This made me lol.
First of all Vale Guardian is extremely easy once u gather 10 people that have practiced it enough. Not a good gauge for the “casualness” of the raid.
“I consider myself casual so the content must be casual?” I don’t think so. You obviously have hours to put into the game and the community if you are a fourm specialist. That doesn’t fit many people’s definition of casual.
Casual content is when you can log on, grab your buddies that happen to be online, without having a degree of planning to your comp, and go enjoy something of moderate difficulty that takes maybe an hour.
I am not saying Raids should be made casual but lets not try to pass an apple off as an orange.
I don’t think we need a new mode. But there needs to be consideration on that rage timer. Instead of implementing a hard fail. Maybe have a gold, silver, and bronze tier timer like on adventures and have scaling rewards. These things are still difficult without the DPS gear check and you can still preserve difficulty by rewarding raiders for optimal performance.
I mean really. I love the raids. But my guild can easily see that this content isn’t going to be well received by the majority of their current audience. I would think Anet wants people playing the content they worked so hard on. As it stands, most people will never see anything beyond vale guardian.
(edited by Mireles Lore.5942)
The way raids are built require a specific type of players that can be online often and have hours of sit time to get through the muscle memory nature of raids.
This content isn’t built to where you can just swap out people on your core team. I hate telling people “Sorry you don’t have the right gear, build, haven’t practiced, or only have a hour to do so”. People have an elitist approach to raids because that is what it required.
These people also need to have a very specific “optimal” gear and build for a very specific role.
In my guild we had a very high interest in raid but only 12 out of 200 of us really fit this profile. While the 12 that do get to play these raids are having fun, none of us see this type of content being well received in a game that the vast majority of the audience was casual up until now.
I was very happy to receive this content but I can easily see how it can be bad for the game and bad for the community. Perhaps some adjustments need to be made. It can still be hard mechanics wise and not gate people out because of a DPS check timer.
The DPS check is why we are seeing such a hard call for DPS meters. Honestly, this is not a direction I wanted to see the game go and it is not how I would like to run a community.
(edited by Mireles Lore.5942)
There is kind of a line to be had though. The length of a rage timer is debatable, but it needs to exist to force people to learn their rotations and stay on point.
Without the timer you can take as long as you want and make as many mistakes as you want and turns into only a test of suitability instead of both suitability and damage.
This whole arguments rest on the two types of content have to be mutually exclusive. They don’t. Anet can make content for all types of audiences. Your experience in non-hardcore content isn’t lessened by you not doing hardcore stuff.
Demanding every aspect of the game cater to the audience you fall in is pretty selfish.
Difficult content can only add to the game not take away. Broaden your horizons or don’t play that particular part of the game.

Gaile,
Could you ask the team if there is any plans for come kind of +7 conversion for those of us with infusions that are +5 Stat with +5 AR?
I personally haven’t done any new fractals because I feel my gear was made obsolete with the update and many of us spent to much gold on them way back when they were released to just not use them.
Thanks.

This is why I asked about the drug testing policy at Anet when we went to the specialization system in relation to warrior. After experimenting with all the various weapons the hammer burst skill is a JOKE. I mean we sacrifice half of our dmg circle and 3 seconds of stun for 1s of immobile. The only thing this burst skill had going was the knock back they had in beta and then removed.
The guy balancing warrior or the ppl making decisions on the elite spec obviously do not play warrior, this elite spec is bad.

Can you activate the missions again? Does seem odd, though.
You can activate it again. But say you have 30 members that want to do the rush mission. You would have to take 2 teams through 2 missions to get all 30 ppl rewards and you cant run them together or concurrently.

Nothing? I guess I am going to have to put public guild missions on hold.
Well at least you can change colors with the com tag right? :P
But yeah. Mentor tag is turning into another glorified “hey look at me”. Out of all I have seen only 1 was activity mentoring.
I was just wanted to get some feedback to see if the current personal reward structure for Guild Missions was intentional because I am trying to plan privileges and set up mission nights.
Currently the way it is right now. Only the completing members of a guild mission get the reward. IE, If you activate a easy “win a match of x” PvP mission and queue with 5 guild teams the first team to win gets the reward, others do not. Also happens in missions like Rush. Only the first 15 members to complete the rush get a reward. This being because the mission completes and closes after the minimum requirement is met.
As a guild leader I usually have 30 people show up for guild mission night, and that is on a slow week. The current format does not support this level of participation as people would not be able to participate all at once, and it would take 2-6+ activations per mission to get everyone their rewards.
Is this the intent of guild missions, to be 5-15 man missions done periodically by people interested in the rewards? This destroy’s a corner stone in my guild, guild mission night, for seemingly no reason.
Can we have it to where the mission stays open for the full duration of the timer even though the requirements have been met so everyone may participate?

bound by NDA? Why even post this? Just to let everyone know they were passed over for something they never had a fair shot at being considered for?
Why? For transparency and as a means of communication, which I think we all agree is a good thing.
Too, I see some concerns about claims of world firsts. ArenaNet doesn’t track, verify, record, or reward world firsts. But making public that certain guilds were involved in testing seems appropriate and relevant in that context, does it not?
Transparency sure okay, I can get on board with that.
But alot of us were all to eager to test it Friday and Saturday night of the beta weekend and didn’t get to do that. Had multiple pre-made teams set up. But hey its beta stuff happens right?
Been a GW guild for 10 years now with accomplishments in both games.
Then we see this “hey these established guilds get to test it! No, there wasn’t an application process to consider guilds out side of these referrals on guilds that previously got to test. But! maybe just maybe, we will open up testing and you will get a fair shot at getting to test it too before release”
I guess just serve me with lime and call me salty because all the effort my guild and I have put in prepping for raids it would have at-least been nice to have a platform where all guilds could have been considered.
I think its a bit of a thin vial to care about transparency on something that we are not going to get to see, don’t have a chance of participating in, because of records you don’t even track.
That is just my opinion though. Test away. But this is kinda bad way to publicize it.

Did we ever get a confirmation that guild banks would be accessible outside the guild hall after it was stated it was currently unknown at the Q&A during guild week?
Whats particular about this time. We don’t have alot of information other than salvage rates are changing and whats being looked at is scarcity of some items. It would be the first time they didn’t mention something new was being added and just threw it in.
Everyone is on the thick leather hype train expecting it to pull a silk, but I dont see how people are going to unload as many units as that are out there in peoples banks right now and expect the value to hold. Save something extraordinary that creates demand for thick leather that can only be obtained through leather that is just not going to happen.
My guess would be the introduction of account magic find and ascended crafting in Sep 2013.
He also made a blog post about incoming disequilibrium of the economy that time.
The post is still a good read, even retrospectively:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/economy-report-brace-yourself-disequilibrium-is-coming/
So are you suggestion that 500 jeweler might come into play? That would be awesome.
But that wasn’t really a “re-balancing” of anything more of an introduction of things that were new.
There are many people that also think this. I asked a question on reddit about what he was going for with this. It sounded like he is trying to drive up the price of previous worthless items than bringing expensive ones down.
To do that he would have to suck up excess supply then have a new demand for them or cripple supply output. IT is not enough just to cut off supply.
Defiantly going to be interesting to see what actually happens and is an exciting time for speculators.
The Zephyrite merchants while it raised the price it came right back down when the event ended and demand went away while supply resumed. Hopefully we will see something more permanent.
Well they did say that Raids will bring us to tears. Hope to see it fixed tonight.
Thanks y’all was trying to get this confirmed before all of my team gathered for the raid tonight. Looking forward to what you got in store for us tonight.
Are we going to need to unlock gliding to access or complete the raid beta?
I totally failed on properly discussing the MoTD today. So I have some information I think you’ll enjoy (or hope you and others enjoy) concerning it.
- Whenever you log into game you will see the MotD broadcast to your chat for that guild you are representing at the time of log in.
- Whenever you represent a guild you will see that guild’s MotD broadcast into your chat.
- Whenever someone in your guild edits the MotD (they will need guild permissions to do this), you will see your guild’s MotD broadcast to the chat.
Also, to touch on the concerns about the size of the field for the MotD: The “Attributes” section I spoke of at end of stream will only be as wide as the roster tab. We will still have a fairly large field to work with for the message of the day. But should the player(s) miss the MotD, they will have that message broadcast to their chat each time they log in and represent, and when someone edits it.
I hope this is an encouragement and thank you for bringing the subject up. And thank you all for your feedback for the Guild Halls content and for joining us on the stream today!
You’re right I did enjoy hearing that.
I agree with you on PvP and WvW being guild achievements.
Except these are worse than achievements.
They seem like dailies or monthlies but you have to hit a button and complete them in a window for them to count. Is the time window really necessary?
Imagine having a daily event completer except with a button you had to activate and complete the events within a 10-15 minute time frame. Just pray events spawn in a manner that its do-able and u get all the tags you need to get to earn credit or suffer a failure and wait for an opportune time to start over.
I like the idea you are going with to have kinda guild weekly achievements but the time window just presents a logistics problem more than a challenge.
I mean are we going to have to eat queue times or do we have to be quick enough to pop the mission before the match loads?
Get lucky enough to have match ups to where multiple pvp team wins/get enough objectives simultaneously in totally unrelated matches?
Be waiting to hit the launch button right before a point gets captured or a dolyak is going to be successfully escorted before we hit the button?
Are we going to have to claim the keep/tower and hope that we have enough people representing at that keep or rush to claim it before another guild so we can do the capture and hold mission?
These are not challenges of skill or coordination. These are logistical issues that are likely out of a players hands the vast majority of the time. Please make these more akin to weekly achievements that we can gather for and accomplish without the need to focus on beating logistics of hitting the launch timer or trying to play the logistics of the game to squeeze the most advantage out of that time window.
Also.
Message of the day. Seriously. Took the opposite direction by shrinking it. We need something to draw attention to it when it changes. It is already to easy to ignore and it is our only in-game means with communicating with the entire guild offline and online.

I just want to say XHSA was very excited to hear about the core game going free to play. We look at this as a excellent opportunity to make some new friends and grow our community. If you are looking for a group of motivated players ready to teach you, help you reach your goals, and overall just be your friend this is the guild for you.
I have been playing for 3 years and I never have had anything worth over 50 gold drop for me. But yet, I have 1000s of gold and do not buy gems, do not micro flip, and do not farm farm as I do not have the time to labor in game or willing to spend real cash on the game. There are other ways to gain wealth in the game than drops. It takes some risks, patience, good spending habits, and critical thinking.
You can’t just “make drops good”. The RNG function is what controls the supply of the game and is a huge determinate of value. What makes something valuable is that its demand is in gross excess of supply. Common drops will always be worth next to nothing. Things hard to obtain from the game will be worth the most. If everyone that plays 5k hours had exotics and ascended rain upon them they would not be worth much and how would you adjust this years into the game?
The thing is, to have an economy, drops got to suck for most people and someone has to be left holding an empty bag for it to work.

Thanks for that Psyche. Also. We are looking for about 15 more members to add this month.
After watching how many ppl make legendary weapons in comparison to those who don’t, you can assume that there are different categories of players :
1. the farmers who spend most of their time in instances/dungeons, making as much cash as possible to make a leg. weapon.
2. the cashshoppers, who just buy stuff off the TP and farm just enough to make it.
3. those that don’t care, but wish they had the luck/cash to make one.4. Those who aren’t in a huge hurry to get things ASAP and are happy to work towards it gradually.
I have a legendary. It took me a year and a half to make, and I’d already been playing for over a year and had some things completed when I decided to start. It took a long time and the commitment to put most my gold and other resources towards that instead of other things but other than that it wasn’t hard, certainly not an insurmountable goal. And now I get to kill things with unicorns.
If/when legendary armour comes out it’ll be the same (but probably without unicorns). If you feel like you must have the best equipment and you must have it now then it will be a problem. If you recognise that you don’t need it to play any part of the game but can work towards it if you like it then it’ll be fine.
This. I don’t believe in labor(grinding) in a video game. This thing I love about Guild Wars 2 is everything is obtainable with some critical thinking, saving, good spending habits. I had my first legendary in the first 6 months of the game. No grinding or cash shop required.
Whats even better. If you dont want a legendary. Your experience isnt deminished what so ever. So its not like you need to rush to get it.
Yes swap-able runes… maybe even a legendary rune that involved collecting them all to craft them to be able to swap to whatever.
There already been devs statements on reddit that they plan to bring in and have ideas for 500 jeweler In line with other crafing professions soon™. It doesnt have to be ascended jewelery, it could be something totally new.
I have just the opposite feeling on legedary armor. The thought of legendary trinkets and armor with swapable stats is a dream come true for those of us that like to experment and run different builds. That and it would be nice to have something to spend all the gold I have accumulated. I suspect they will intro it very slowly as not to shock markets.

Fundamentally changing the economy, supply, demand and prices on many valuable items in the game so you dont have to spend 200 more dollars on legendary sounds like the worst idea ever.
There are people that spend 1000s on this game. A person whos spending limit is 100 bucks arn’t the target market for the gem store. Blew my mind when the first halloween when there was a mad rush for keys came and people were complaining about the 300 dollar max daily limit per credit card. Trust me dude Anet doesn’t need to cap anything to get people to spend more money.
Well. We do not know how available HoT will make ascended. For all we know 500 jeweler will come out and you can craft em.
I would still prefer to be able to buy them using the less costly money( from my point of view & gameplay habit).
We would all like for everything to be less costly and tailored to our game habbits but thats impossible to do for everyone. Its not unreasonable to reward special rewards for specific content.
Well. We do not know how available HoT will make ascended. For all we know 500 jeweler will come out and you can craft em.
