Mireles Lore.5942

XHSA is looking for about 10 more members to fill our membership cap head of the upcoming expansion. We have had a huge recruitment drive with over 80 applications and around 30 accepted members since August 1st.

XHSA was a previously an experienced end game only guild but has recently opened it’s recruitment to players of all experience, current or returning, that value community, and are looking for a place to call a home with people to befriend.

If this interests you I encourage you to check out our main recruitment post we make about once every two months. This details out the activities we do, our membership expectations, and how to apply. You will also find comments from whats most important in any guild, the members themselves. Come see what quality over quantity recruiting looks like.

Graphical Lag in Lake Doric

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Mireles Lore.5942

Seems like there is something causing graphical lag in Lake Doric, the game has about 3-4 seconds of shuttering like it is having difficulty loading something.

It is replicated by leaving from Red Leaf Retreat Waypoint and heading towards the heart. Seems to be whenever you come within a certain radius of that heart approaching from the west or south it happens.

Guild members tested and confirmed, does not seem to be limited to a AMD or NVIDIA graphic card type.

Raids

XHSA considers itself highly proficient in end game content and strives to attract talent that would be expected to complete these things without difficulty in a timely manner. We maintain an experienced raiding pool for proficient and interested members to get timely clears and raid achievements. We also have a casual raid night for players trying to get a leg up into raiding.

It is important to note raiding is not something that is required for members to participate in, as it is a highly organized and regulated activity in our guild. We understand raiding may not be something that is for everyone. It is also important to note that XHSA does not offer any form of focused training nor should it be assumed that getting accepted into the guild will eventually get you into our experienced raiding program.

Our experienced raiding pool is somewhere in the neighborhood of 35+ active raiders with 3 static, full clear, teams. This pool is for members that meet certain experience and DPS requirements from which our static teams are coordinated as well as raid achievement and challenge mote runs. The purpose of this pool is to serve as a competency base line for our experienced raiding activities that would be expected of raiders that can clear all wings in under 3 hours. Meeting these requirements is not a requirement of guild membership nor is membership in a static team required for this pool. If you are looking for something not static, but experienced, you may still join this pool and fill for absences at your convenience.

We rarely have to look outside the guild on any given day to fill a run. While there may or may not be static spots available at the time of recruitment there are usually plenty of opportunities to fill in for absences or impromptu requests throughout the week.

We also host casual raids once a week that do not have any requirements other than being informed about the encounters and having a meta build. These are on a first come first serve basis to supplement members seeking out experience or wanting to learn new roles.

If you are interested in raids with XHSA and would like to learn more about our requirements. Please see the link below.

Fractals

There are always multiple groups going around reset and often include the challenge motes. You will almost always find a full guild group to run this content effectively in the evenings. We are pretty much accepting all classes and builds so long as you have the required AR. We are highly experienced in this area and welcome those experienced and new alike to join us on these.

Anticipating The Expansion

Presently many of our members are awaiting the highly anticipated expansion. It is our goal to recruit members that plan to enter this on release day and tackle content that would require high populations and organization. We are a guild with a history of taking this on early and succeeding so long as our members have interest.

If you are looking for a solid guild to get caught up on anything you may have missed and enter the expansion, this is the guild for you. This guild used to be a end game exclusive guild, there a plenty of helpful members to offer advice, guidance, and assistance in reaching your pre-expansion goals.

Casual WvW

Since the release of the new reward system several members have shown interest in some casual WvW, usually group up on the weekend for some light roaming or joining a zerg. The vast majority of the guild resides in Yak’s Bend. If this is something you are interested in, you would need to be on our server to join us.

Guild Hall and Missions

XHSA has a max level guild hall in the Lost Precipice. Our Guild missions are currently every Friday at 9PM Eastern US. If members are online at that time we ask you to join us and mingle with the guild. This is a high value event for us as we like to see people get antiquated with the guild, if they so happen to be online Friday night, via this event. Attendance for guild missions is something that is highly valued as a community builder in this guild.

I would like to be a part of XHSA. How do I join?

It is highly encouraged that you glance over our recruitment posting on our website and any other information that interests you.

http://xunlaiheroes.wixsite.com/xhsa/recruitment

There is a short application that gathers basic information about you to ensure we can offer you a quality experience and if you wish, can leave a little information about yourself. I will contact you via in-game mail if we are looking to recruit you to discuss any concerns either of us may have and to properly welcome you.

Unfortunately, I can not issue a reply to everyone, we get far to many applications for that. However, I encourage people to contact me after they apply to ask questions or inquire about the status of their application, in game, on Mireles Lore.5942. It usually takes a day or two for an application to be reviewed by enough guild members to issue a decision.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to meeting all that are interested.

About XHSA

XHSA is a 12 year running guild that has the focus of putting community first and seeking out players that also value community. We are a guild that has existed for so long because of our focus on quality recruitment and seeking out players that value community. Here you will find like minded players that have both been active in the game for many years and knowledgeable about helping others reach their goals. If you are seeking out a long lasting community to form friendships with your fellow members to enhance your Guild Wars 2 experience, you will find that here at XHSA.

We are most active in the evening in American time zones and maintain an active discord server. XHSA keeps our roster capped at 200 members as to be small enough to foster environment where people become friends and to be large enough to be able to tackle any challenge that the content presents. We take pride in having standards in our recruitment to ensure, when anyone enters the guild, that they will find a roster of active, committed, and skilled players to enjoy their Guild Wars 2 experience with.

If these things interest you, I encourage people to check out our website and the details below.

Why join XHSA over other guilds

What XHSA offers is a quality, active, and long lasting guild experience that is unlike your common “pack the roster with as many bodies as possible” guilds. Very few guilds have been around and long as us and have our level of commitment to quality. Here, our focus is about putting our members first to provide a social environment in which to form friendships while simultaneously seeking players of dedication and skill to make our community one of a kind.

We use an application process to offer our members have an opportunity to participate in the recruitment processes and consider potential members. We like to make sure that each member will be a good fit and that we can offer them what they are looking for in a guild. Be assured, when accepted, members already know you are coming and will be ready to welcome you. Not only will you find players capable of comfortably completing challenging content when you join up. Here you will also find a welcoming community to enjoy a long term gaming experience with. One that has taken some time to know you, even before we have sent an invite.

We don’t believe in spam recruiting, blind invites, or throwing cookie cutter recruitment messages at people’s posts. Our roster is not a collection of random people that we picked up wherever we could. You will find that our member were carefully selected on the basis of having similar goals, interests, and activity to form a well functioning and quality community. You will find that our standards and ideals translate in the quality of our members and the activity of our community that is second to none.

What does quality mean to XHSA

XHSA defines quality by activity, commitment, and respect.

XHSA does not keep members not active in the game on our roster. While we understand that members may take a break from the game, and are always welcome back if removed from the roster, you will find that our roster is not inflated with inactive players. The majority of our members have been playing the game for well over a year and maintain constant activity. We do our best to seek out and accept members that love the game as much as we do. New or experienced, you will find a guild experience that will last here.

Members recruited to XHSA have shown they hold the idea and concept of community highly in their priorities. XHSA is the main guild and home to all of it’s members and represent it in a manner that reflects that. Members that are looking to get socially involved in a community are usually ones that also have high participation and activity. We do not retain people on our roster that do not, as we feel they would reflect poorly on the quality of our membership and discourage others from committing to the community. Here you will find people committed to interacting and supporting the guild and those loyal to it.

We are also a guild that strives to be inclusive and respectful of everyone. One that strongly discourages the formation of cliques. Our members maintain the mentality that this is a video game and we are here to have fun. Many people here were complete strangers when they joined and have formed lasting friendships with players here. We want that for every member we accept into the guild. We have a very mixed roster made up of people of all creeds, nationalities, gender, and sexual orientation. While our members certainly do have a crude, politically incorrect since of humor, we do not tolerate discriminating or demeaning behavior towards people, members or not, for any reason. Here you will find a open and welcoming social environment free of the cliques and closed social circles found in other guilds.

Raids

While we do not consider ourselves a raiding guild but a community guild, raids where most of our member’s content focus is. We maintain an pool of raiders that meet certain experience and dps requirements from which our static teams are coordinated as well as raid achievement and challenge mote runs. Meeting these requirements is not a requirement of guild membership. We will accept newer raiders and offer advice on builds, rotations, and tactics until they become proficient enough to be included in this pool.

Our experienced raiding pool is somewhere in the neighborhood of 40+ active raiders. We rarely have to look outside the guild on any given day to fill a run. While there may or may not be static spots available at the time of recruitment there are usually plenty of opportunities to fill in for absences or impromptu requests throughout the week.

It is important to note that XHSA DOES NOT offer raid training. There was a time XHSA was very big in the training scene and later realized that three leaders were the only thing holding our raiding program together. Once they could not run 3-5 times a week, people would just not raid without them, and did not have the proficiency one would expect. We found that training was not effective in producing raiders that were driven to expand and improve on their own nor motivated to do anything else other than show up for clears already set up for them. As a result we quickly changed out outlook on raids and started to value people’s motivations to step up their game.

So one might ask, if I am new to raiding, how does one get involved in raiding with XHSA?

It is XHSA’s belief that what makes a great raider is a player that has the motivation to be independent in their progress and self driven to improve. We find that our best raiders were those that were bold enough to seek out and raid at any opportunity. Also, were self driven to do what was necessary to become proficient in their chosen roles. Most of the time this means pugging and joining runs that might not be such a sure thing to get a leg up. We are happy to share our knowledge with you, but it will be up to you to gain experience.

The guild does offer casual runs on Fridays focused towards people that do not meet our experienced requirements or those that would like to practice new roles. These should not be considered training as you will be expected to know the mechanics of the encounter already. These runs are meant to supplement people seeking out experience through other means such as pugging and are usually used to run the more difficult encounters.

While the quantity of players entering our pool might be lower than training we find that the quality of raiders this philosophy has produced for the guild is second to none. Once you are experienced enough to join our pool we are happy to offer counseling on your rotation to ensure you can make the DPS benchmark, if needed, and include you in our experienced pool.

For more information on how we run raids please see the raid page on our website.

Fractals

Tier 4 Daily Fractals is probably the most ran content the guild does. There are always multiple groups going around reset and often include nightmare challenge mote. You will almost always find a full guild group to run this content effectively in the evenings. We are pretty much accepting all classes and builds so long as you have the required AR.

Living Story

The living story updates are often highly anticipated content in our guild. It would be very easy to find members to discuss an experience the content with as it releases.

Guild Hall and Missions

XHSA has a max level guild hall in the Lost Precipice. Our Guild missions are currently every Friday at 9PM Eastern US. If members are online at that time we ask you to join us and mingle with the guild.

(Updated May 30th)

Summary

Xunlai Heroic Service Agents are seeking players that value community but also have a strong focus and ability in end game content such as raids and fractals. We are a 12 year running guild with a solid record of recruiting people that are active, committed to our community, and foster the talent to tackle the most difficult content Anet has put forward.

Since the release of raids XHSA has developed on a content focus that is almost exclusively focused on raids, high end fractals, and any difficult high end content the game puts forward. While our focus has become more refined on end game, we still hold community and the quality of our membership as our primary goal.

We are most active in the evening in American Time zones.

Why join XHSA over other guilds

What XHSA offers is a quality, active, and long lasting guild experience that is unlike your common “pack the roster with as many bodies as possible” guilds. Very few guilds have been around and long as us and have our level of commitment to quality. Our guild has been around for over a decade because of our focus on people and community while being able to attract and produce the talent to conquer any challenge that arises in content.

Not only will you find players capable of comfortably completing challenging content on a regular basis. Here you will also find a welcoming community to enjoy your gaming experience with. One that has taken some time to know you, even before we have sent an invite.

We don’t believe in spam recruiting, blind invites, or throwing cookie cutter recruitment messages at people’s posts. We get to know you as a person and learn your interests before taking you on to ensure we can offer you a quality experience. People will know who you are and ready to receive when you join because the entire guild views and chooses applicants. You will find that our standards and ideals translate in the quality of our members and the activity of our community.

Many people here were complete strangers when they joined and have formed lasting friendships with players they have overcome the most difficult content the game has to offer with. We want that for every member that joins us and do our best to help you become successful as a player.

What does quality mean to XHSA

Let it be said, we realize XHSA might not be for everyone as we adhere to our standards of quality pretty harshly and not everyone can provide the level of commitment to the guild we ask. We have about 50 people apply to XHSA monthly and accept under 20% of those applicants. Below are some of the things we look for in our members

Firstly, members here at XHSA firstly must be able to participate at a end game level. We have found recruiting people that can not, often get left behind and quit the game. The vast majority of members are expected to have 150 AR on one character, most will have multiple. Those that are raiders should have at least some experience and have multiple roles they can fill to be included in our experienced raiding pool that includes full clear static teams and raid achievement runs.

Second, members recruited to XHSA hold the idea and concept of community highly in their priorities.

Third, while we might sound serious in our focus and our commitment to community, we never forget this is a video game. Members are fun loving people and respectful people. While we joke around and poke fun at people we do not tolerate raging or comments intended demean and insult others personally. People here are social, respectful, and light hearted. Most importantly all know that we play this game to have fun and unwind from reality for a few hours.

LF NA guild - weekly raids and guild missions

Mireles Lore.5942

Hello Talindra,

I have a guild that might interests you that meets your specified requirements if you are looking for a main guild. We are XHSA a community oriented guild with a high end, end game focus. Our guild is about 160 members presently, it is been our goal for over a decade to gather skilled people that also value a community in which to socialize in.

We host guild missions every Friday 2 hours after reset. We usually have 30-50 people show up to these. We use guild missions as a time for the entire guild to get together and meet/see everyone every week. It is probably our most hyped event.

Our guild is very active in our T4 fractals as well as 100 CM. Teams for daily fractals are usually formed on a first come, first serve basis, in the hours after server reset. There is also a pool of people that run 100 CM on a regular basis.

We do have a very active raiding base. We currently have three clear teams that run Mondays – Wednesdays with the rest of the week is used for progression and achievement raiding such as practicing and completing challenge motes for people. We have people of varying degree of experience from raiders just starting out to raiders with 450+ LI.

As far as a static clear team goes. I can not promise one right of the bat upon being recruited. We do have a few spots open, but I assume you two would want to be on the same team which could take some time to be accommodated. I can say however, there will be plenty of opportunities to fill, especially on progression and CM runs, until we do find a spots for both of you. People that are proficient in their roles with your level of experience quickly find their way onto teams.

If this interests you, I suggest you check out our most recent recruitment post on reddit and our website for more information. There is a short application that we have people fill out to ensure we can offer a quality experience to members.

https://redd.it/5wi13b

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me in game or via one of our contact options on our website.

Good luck in your search, I hope to hear from you soon.

Mireles Lore.5942

This is a summarized version. The full, most recent, version is linked below.
https://redd.it/5wi13b

Summary

Xunlai Heroic Service Agents is looking for some quality players to join their roster. We are a guild that has a high focus on raids, fractals, and any current content that ANet puts forward. We keep our roster capped at 200 members as to be small enough to foster environment where people become friends and to be large enough to be able to tackle any challenge that the content presents. We take pride in having standards in our recruitment to ensure, when anyone enters the guild, that they will find a roster of active, committed, and skilled players to enjoy their Guild Wars 2 experience with.

We welcome those that are seeking an open community, that has an end game focus, that will stand the test of time, to come join us here at XHSA. We have been a guild since Guild Wars 1 release and believe that our focus on building a community of quality members that value a friendly and open community is what has kept us going strong for over a decade.

What does XHSA offer that others don’t?

What XHSA offers is a quality, active, and long lasting guild experience that is unlike your standard “pack the roster with as many bodies as possible” guilds. Very few guilds have been around and long as us and have our level of commitment to quality. Our guild has been around for over a decade because of our focus on people and community while being able to attract and produce the talent to conquer any challenge.

We don’t believe in spam recruiting, blind invites, or throwing cookie cutter recruitment msgs at ppl. We get to know you as a person and learn your interests before taking you on to ensure we can offer you a quality experience. People will know who you are before you join because the entire guild views applications. You will find that our standards and ideals translate in the quality of our members and the activity of our community.

Many people here were complete strangers when they joined and have formed lasting friendships with players they have overcome the most difficult content the game has to offer with. We want that for every member that joins us and do our best to help you become successful in you goals.

What does quality mean to us?

It is our priority to fill the guild with committed Guild Wars 2 players that have a record of being consistently active. This means the players you will find here have been consistently active over the course of months, many years, and do not often take extended breaks.

While 100% isn’t mandatory for recruitment we require all that join us represent us for the vast majority of the time they spend online. We are not an alt guild and will not be treated as such, we also expect members to want to participate in guild events. We feel guild missions are an important opportunity for members to mingle and get to know each other on a regular basis, we ask members to attend if online.

While we are willing to consider any active member looking to commit to our community, XHSA has grown to the point that we are almost entirely end game focused. Players that can participate in T4 fractals and are raid ready will do the best here as far as being able to participate in most of the content the guild currently participates in.

Raids

XHSA is highly active in raids, especially early in the week. We have multiple teams currently clearing in under two hours and offer members opportunities to join teams as spots become available. We welcome people of all experience levels to participate. That all being said it is important to note we DO NOT officially offer training. It is our impression and experience that people motivated to be successful in raids will find the opportunity either with us or pugging to gain the run time they need to become effective under experienced expectations and will inform themselves with the numerous resources out there on the fights if need be.

Players new to raids that are joining XHSA to raid must have the initiative to inform themselves on the fights and have practiced their damage rotations to the best of their ability before attempting to join our experienced runs. You may be asked to be informed and meet a reasonable damage benchmark on a golem for your class before permitted to run on certain teams.

How do I join?

It is encouraged that you glance over our recruitment posting on our website and any other information that interests you. Much of the information presented here is in there.

http://xunlaiheroes.wixsite.com/xhsa/recruitment

There is a short application that gathers basic information about you to ensure we can offer you a quality experience and little information about yourself. I will contact you via in-game mail if we are looking to recruit you to discuss any concerns either of us may have and to properly welcome you.

Thank you,
Mireles

Can you tone down the content of loot bags?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Mireles Lore.5942

Mireles Lore.5942

It takes 15 minutes to clear your bags, Huh? I don’t know how that’s even remotely possible, unless maybe you’re watching a movie/show while doing it and paying more attention to the movie/show. Before the ‘Salvage All’ feature I could easily open and salvage 3 stacks of champion bags in give or take 5 minutes.

With the ‘Salvage All’ feature you should be able to clear your bags in easily like a minute, after a Tarir Multimap Meta, or Tangle Depths Meta, or whatever else you’re doing. Even IF you’re not salvaging anything it still wouldn’t take 15 minutes to clear your bags, it would probably take even less than if you were salvaging.

It really depends if you merchant your rare runes or send em off on the TP. To me I get so many runes I don’t care I’m losing a silver or two a piece by finishing quickly instead of waiting for the TP to list them and waiting through the error when u sell to many to fast.

To me runes and sigils are the biggest problem. You get so many and they do not have a use. Most green ones don’t even have a list value above merchants. The system needs to be revamped to where they are salvaged into a resource and have all the stat sets as unlocks and use that resource to change/use them.

LF Skilled NA Raid + Social Guild

in Looking for...

Mireles Lore.5942

Hello,

I have a guild you two might be interested in.

We are XHSA, we a 11 year old guild that keeps around 200 members with a focus on community. I think you will find most of what you are looking for here. I will just go over point by point on what your listed interests are.

We are very experienced in raids. Groups in our guild clear on a weekly basis. Our more experienced members have upwards of 300+ LI. Raids are however on a more dynamic basis as we had brought our organized scheduling to a close. Responsibility for finding a placement and clearing is left to the individual. Thurs-Sat are kinda free as far as most raiders have groups for Mon-Wed. It should not be hard to eventually fall into a regular time and day.

We do not consider ourselves hardcore. While we know our stuff, expect meta gear and builds, and have enough clears to make 2 sets of gold statues for the hall. Our members are very very chill and play to have fun, even if things are not going well in a run.

We have a very friendly environment. In fact it is the focus of this guild. This guild is managed with the priority of community. We only retain player who are not only active but also hold community as a priority. You will find a very active and helpful social environment here.

While we do have a website that is updated regularly, we mostly use discord as our means of outside game communication. We feel forums are kind of a dated medium and find that discord offers a much more active way to stay in touch with members outside the game.

I suppose we consider ourselves LGBTQ friendly. While we do not use it as a selling point we have many people of all races, nationality, and sexual orientation the guild and we all get along swimmingly. We are all here to play Guild Wars and have fun.

As for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. Let me first say we don’t tolerate comments intended to demean or insult other members or groups members happen to be a part of. Members are to be respectful of each other. That being said, there will be jokes and bad language… jokes made in the spirit of humor. We warn everyone we recruit about this because some people do not like it. So consider yourself warned. We generally do not filter people outside of discriminatory intent or disrespect.

If you would like to learn more about us I recommend checking out our website, particularly the recruitment section. We do have a small app we have prospective members fill out to get basic information and to confirm understanding of whats expected here.

On a closing note. We love our guild missions and t4 fractals. T4 fractals are ran every day and are usually on a impromptu basis to allow anyone available to join. Guild missions are every Friday at 9 Eastern. We usually have 30-50 people show up and is out biggest weekly event.

Good luck in your search. I hope to hear from you two soon.

Poll to remove Daily Achivement Cap?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Mireles Lore.5942

Mireles Lore.5942

I think there is 3 reasonable solutions to this.

I think the easiest, practical, and most fostering solution for a leaderboard and the allowance of infinite progression for players would just be to remove the cap.

I think the 2nd best to minimize the reward work that has to be done by Anet and give a since of the idea above it to raise it every year or expansion.

The 3rd solution would just would put everyone on even grounds would be to divide up AP into two categorizes “Permanent” and “Temporary”. Where as any achievement that remains obtainable in the game forever is “permanent” and anything that is time sensitive is “temporary”. People could do daily achievements to work towards the total temporary AP available if they missed season 1 or any other seasonal AP.

I argued against the cap when they were first talking about adding it 3 years ago. The general support of this stemmed from players who didn’t know how to let go and felt compelled to do all 12 daily goals every day for all 12 achievement points. So to ease the “stress” they added a cap to give these players relief that if they missed a day, it would be okay because there is a ceiling.

I essentially stated that it is poor design to cater the game for people that did not know how to put something down they are not enjoying, and it would on serve to eventually lock people out of AP rewards the rest of us were currently accumulating AP for in season 1. Here we are 3 years later facing that problem.

I will first say, I for one do not care about my position on the leaderboard. I rather fall to the bottom and continue to be rewarded on the same level as everyone else for my daily and keep progressing toward rewards. But, because some people did not know how to stop accumulating ever single AP point the rest of us have to be limited in our means. That is a reward bad design to essentially tell players that you can’t progress on this track like everyone else had because you completed X daily achievements and were not here on day 1.

I am currently around top 50 on the leader-board. Not because I have done every daily from the start, but because I only a few months ago hit a cap people hit years ago and am ahead because i have 99% of temporary AP. There shouldn’t even be a leaderboard if people can stay on top without having to continue to log in on a daily basis and play to maintain their lead over others. That is also bad competing design that tells players, you were not here since day 1, you can never catch up because there is a cap on total points, you lost before you even started.

'the market will fix itself'

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Mireles Lore.5942

Mireles Lore.5942

The problem mostly lies that the market will never have the opportunity to adjust downward.

The rate at which people can produce them is fixed and passive. You can not play the game while not producing them.

Without dev intervention the market behavior isn’t likely to change. Demand will constantly be added as they add new legendary items like weapons and armor. Driving the price up even more.

The issue is that they can not be directly produced or not produced by the player. As they add demand there is nothing the player base can do to increase the supply. Mystic coins are missing a balancing mechanism that would prompt players to produce more for their own profit to keep the price from getting ridiculous. It might not be now, but in the future Anet will have to take action if they are intent of keeping Mystic coins in line with other things required for items.

This is the only trade commodity in the game that has these properties, right now its course is set to only increase in price. Giving people every reason to horde them as there is nearly no risk doing so with Anet’s statement of inaction. That in itself is broken. As soon as supply is put in the hands of players like it is with every other trade commodity, the market will behave like it should with opportunities for downwards adjustments in price as players farm them for profit to increase the supply to offset increases of demand.

Mireles Lore.5942

When John Smith implied they were going to stop making market adjustments it was open licence to start hording these things for guaranteed profit. These things can only go up in price because they can not be reliably generated outside of a set number per account, per day logged on, while demand is being constantly added.

Yes there are alot of mystic coins entering the market, probably more than being used. This isn’t the only thing that matters. Its the velocity of that supply that is causing an issue. It is so very low because they are spread over the entire active gaming base because they are produced passively in such small mounts the are sitting on everyone’s account not entering the market supply. They won’t move so long as they can not be produced in excess.

There is really very little reason for anyone to sell these. Probably the primary reason a player needs gold is for luxury items. Mystic Coins are used in almost every luxury item, so they are likely not sold for this reason. No player can ever produce these in excess in a reliable way. ArenaNet seems to determined to keep the supply generation passive, they can only increase in value as they add more legendary items. It is to easy for people to deposit them and forget about them.

Just wait until legendary armor rolls around… Price is going to get crazy.

Scribing Stuff.

Crystalline Bottles
Milling Basins
Wood Cores
Wood Glue
Embroidered Silk
Bag of Mortar

All those Misc items for decorations that drop that I can’t think of right now.

For consideration I think would be worth taking a step up to 2nd level refinement materials.

I think wood pulp, papers, plain dowels, and pen nibs and tips should be considered since they are common refined materials used in many recipies.

Hello LovelyTulip,

I lead a guild that fits just what you describe. We are XHSA and try to seek out players like yourself that are community driven.

We have about 200 members and around 50 people online and representing during our active hours. Our guild focuses on quality over quantity as community is our number one priority. Here you will find a roster filled with people that share your focus on socialization, dedicated to our community.

We are mostly active in the PvE scene with members of all experience levels. We have many members that are returning to the game like yourself. We also are a guild that clears raids multiple times a week and has several t4 fractal groups running daily. If you are reading this before Friday night. It would be a great night to join as we hold guild missions every Friday. It is a good time to meet the guild as we usually have around 40 people show up in game and on discord.

I think you would fit in well here as you looking for what most ppl came to our guild for, friendly people who play to have fun.

If interested. You can read more about us on our website and our reddit recruitment posting. There is a short application on our website that we use to make sure we can offer players a quality experience in what they are looking for, as well as to check to make sure people know whats expected of them to maintain a membership here. Halloween Rewards "Candy Corn Gobbler"

Buying it when it came out, it isn’t hard to understand why its not being brought back.

Even after multiple nerfs its still pretty OP to the point it sounds broken that it even exists. A stack of candy corn can net you 1-2 hours of of the experience and item booster along with the old karma booster and combat boosts. That is kitten cheap for boosters.

I’d think this item is contradictory to the idea of selling boosters in the gem store.

[NA][XHSA]11yr Guild, Raids, T4 Fract, & More

Mireles Lore.5942

Summary

Xunlai Heroic Service Agents is looking for some highly active, motivated and social players that are seeking a main guild. We are presently focusing our recruitment on players that have been active in the game and are able to participate in high end PvE content, but encourage all to apply.

XHSA is a socially focused guild of 11 years that holds the objective of building community above all other things. This guild was not founded by some clique of friends you never seem to be on the level with. Everyone was complete strangers when they came in and together we formed a community by reaching out to each other and trying to include everyone. We strive to be a very open and welcoming community that makes it easy for players looking to belong feel like they belong here in XHSA.

We keep roster around 200 members as to be large enough to tackle the toughest goals the game has to offer while being small enough to have a community in which members know each other and their contributions are noticed and recognized in the community. Our peak hours are the 4-5 hours after server reset.

Please Note:

Members looking to join should know that we DO NOT consider ourselves an alt guild and you will be expected to majority represent. While 100% rep is not mandatory, we enforce our quality standards pretty zealously, you will be asked if you understand them before recruitment. At the very least before inquiring you should review our recruitment page to find out what is expected from members here.

HoT Content

We realize there are and will be many new and returning players entering this content. Our guild is more than happy to offer a home to these players. Players will find a very helpful community that will offer assistance to meet the challenges this content presents, offer advice on how to best reach your goals, and most importantly an friendly environment in which to find other players to make the journey with.

Raids

With a new raid coming around the corner we are shifting a focus to seek out returning raiders and opening up more raids runs for more people. While we are waiting to see the scope of this raid to decide on opening back up our raiding program, we do know we want to add more raiders to our roster. We are seeking out motivated, flexible, and prepared raiders to add to our roster.

A experienced raider would fit in well here at XHSA. Our experienced members can clear all 3 wings in roughly two hours. We are a guild that has earned our gold raid statues and then some. We do not have arbitrary checks to get into groups. However, the better equipped and experienced you come the more you would fit in with other experienced raiders here. The formation of teams is left to our members and may or may not have specific requirements or expectations.

We are also accepting of newer, highly motivated, raiders. We are always willing to offer advice and take raiders that have shown the drive to equip their characters, practice rotations, and inform themselves on the fights. We no longer have training runs however. The initiative to become successful in raiding is mostly left to our members. Our raids are mostly open to people of any experience, but you will be expected to come prepared with a proper build, gear, food, and be informed about the encounters.

Fractals

T4 fractal dailys are ran constantly throughout our peak hours and some in the off hours. We have no particular requirements for these other than the AR check presented by the game. These are mostly ran on a impromptu basis and are constantly announced in guild chat.

Our Guild Hall & Missions

XHSA has claimed the Lost Precipice guild hall and has completed all of the upgrades required for the max level of 69.

I am proud to say we have a very dedicated and very generous group of people that have enabled us to move as fast as we can through these upgrades. If you are looking for a guild in which to dedicate your time and resources too this is the place. We have been around for 10 years and have many dedicated people to make this guild great. Your investment here will see fruition and you will be able to participate in the decoration process fully if you choose to become a 100% rep member.

Our guild mission nights are every Friday night, currently at 9PM EDT. We have between 20 to 40 people show up. We are currently set for PvE only missions as we feel these are the only missions designed with mass participation in mind.

Interested?

I strongly suggest you check out our website to get a good idea of what is expected of members and information about how the guild.

When you are ready you can fill out application at our contact page.

I look forward to meeting all that are interested.

Update on the Economy

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Mireles Lore.5942

Look. All we want, is consistency.

2 Iron Ores > 1 Iron Ingot
2 Silk Scraps > 1 Bolt of Silk
2 Thick Leather Sections > 1 Cured Thick Leather Square
2 Hardened Leather Sections > 1 Cured Hardened Leather Square
3 Softwood Logs > 1 Softwood Plank

Please fix it, thank you.

They really cant fix that because the players decide how many ingots, bolts, and squares are in the game. They don’t actually drop on a loot table.

The raw has more value than refined because the raw materials can provide crafting exp by producing the refined version. So people leveling crafting buy the raw version more often.

Update on the Economy

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Mireles Lore.5942

Mireles Lore.5942

That is a real wordy post for “we feel the economy is in a good place so we are letting go of the wheel and letting it coast”.

Which I agree. Economy is doing great. Just two things that I think should be looked at before distribution tweaks stop being made.

T6 materials seem way out of proportion with each-other. The two extremes being t6 leather and cloth. It seems like the it is quite disproportionate compared to other two T6 materials. It doesn’t seem particularly balanced that top tier mat prices are so out of whack with each-other.

Mystic coins. I know that it was stated that no change felt like was needed because alot of them come into the game. I think the price of these can get out of control fairly quickly as more legendary items are added to the game.

What I personally would be looking at is how much of that supply actually moving. The vast majority of the ones coming into the game are generated passively at a fixed rate and probably has the highest supply spread over the population over other materials. Players generally don’t have the means to generate anymore or any less than what they are producing so there is no reason for players to justify selling them as they need nearly a year’s worth to do anything with them. Nor can they directly produce more for resell or consumption.

So what you have really created here is a material that can never drop in price and will always go up when demand for them is added. Save some kinda random event that prompts everyone to sell their coins. Is it at all concerning for you that the price of these can only go up at this point making legendary items more pricey? Or is this something that is intended to make log in rewards worth something?

Was in a raid when Meri had PMed me that day. We did get him recruited though.

Yesterday was a busy day for us we had well over 60 people online to experience and discuss the new content together. I did not have a chance to get to any apps submitted yesterday.

We have alot of pending apps with very limited space. I will be doing some clearing of not so active and committed members between now and Oct 2nd to make room for members that potentially are.

At this point we are focusing recruitment for members that reside in the US time zones and/or are online for the evenings in those time zones. We are mostly looking for members that have a history of being regularly active in the game and won’t disappear on us when the novelty of the new content wears off.

The best way to get a leg up is to reach out to me in game or on discord after you have submitted an app. We do have another raid today, so I might be busy when you do contact me. When I am not able to reply when you contact me, those are usually the first people I try to get back too.

[NA] Looking For an Active Guild to Join

in Looking for...

Posted by: Mireles Lore.5942

Mireles Lore.5942

Hello Liger,

I lead a guild you might be interested in as it fits what you describe. We are XHSA a guild of about 200 players that prides itself on maintaining an active and quality roster of players that have a community focus.

We keep our roster capped at 200 players to keep the guild small enough to where people know each-other while still being large enough to tackle high demand content. We currently have 30-50 players online and representing during our evening peak hours for the US time zones.

In our recruitment we seek out people with an interest in community and address them on a more personal level than mass spamming to acquire the biggest collection of strangers possible. I think you previously being a guild leader could appreciate and fit in well with the active community here.

I believe we meet all but one or two of your indicated requirements.

We are a US guild mostly based in the Eastern and Central time zones in the US.

Our guild does not have an age restriction. However, I would say that we are all adults and a median age lands somewhere in the mid 20s.

We do not use TS3 anymore. We do use discord for our Voip coordination as we find it vastly superior to TS3 in fostering a community inside and outside the game.

We do all the PvE content that GW2 offers. Fractals, Open world Metas, Dungeons, and Raiding. We also have players that participate heavily in PvP during the league seasons.

We don’t do drama. We are all adults and this is a game.

Most of us are based out of Yak’s Bend. However we have many many people from other servers if WvW isnt an issue for you.

I think you will find all of your listed activities here. We are pretty casual about our raiding now. We do not have static teams anymore but you are more than welcome to join any groups recruiting for them as long as you come prepared with an appropriate build and have done a little self informing on what to expect from boss fights.

As far as representation, we do not require 100% representation. However, we do require majority representation. XHSA does not consider itself an alt guild. Players here are expected to have us as their main guild and represent regularly. We do offer incentives for members that pledge and maintain 100% representation if you find you want to make us your home.

If you are interested you can read more about us on recruitment post and our website both contained in the link below.

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/lookingfor/NA-XHSA-11yr-Community-Guild/first#post6316988

There is a short application on our website that asks the basics to ensure that we can offer you a quality experiand and have at-least acknowledged that we have rules and standards.

If you have any questions best way to get a hold of me is in-game or via the contact options on our website.

Good luck in your search, hope to hear from you soon.

Daily points capped at 15000.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Mireles Lore.5942

They did this for the sake of the stress of AP hunter’s compulsion at the expense of players that come into the game later and their ability to earn AP rewards.

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/More-daily-are-you-kidding-me/first

I said this would happen to people back when they were going to implement the cap. I argued hard that players ability to earn rewards shouldn’t be impeded because some people can’t stop doing something they don’t enjoy.

I have around 32k AP and maxed out my daily about a month ago. Also don’t like the cap even though I am around top 50 on the leaderboard. I much rather be able to work towards more rewards and skins at my own pace.

People also argued that it helps competition because it gives people the opportunity to catch up when it does the exact opposite like we see here. It makes it easier for people to stay on top and impossible for those to catch up that did not to LS1.

ArenaNet shouldn’t be designing the game to manage people’s compulsions. That is bad game design for the rest of us that are just trying to earn rewards. I feel bad for the people working towards raident/hellfire and not being able to do this reward for possibly years down the line because they didn’t play on day 1 and people don’t know how to let go of something they don’t enjoy doing.

Vendor All Minor Runes

I like this idea but its really “treating the symptom” solution. It be better if they weren’t useless to the point we have to vendor them.

I really hope that a sigil/rune rework is coming down the pipes to where you can unlock a rune/sigil by salvaging or equipping a weapon/armor with it. Then whenever you go to salvage anything with a rune or sigil it gives you a single type of material as currency to switch them freely.

"I'd really like this..." [Gifting Strangers]

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: Mireles Lore.5942

Mireles Lore.5942

Hey All,

I been leading a guild for a number of years where we do monthly and weekly raffles. I been coming up short in the recent weeks/months where I usually raffle off precursors monthly and little goodies weekly. It is to the point I might have to skip them for a time.

I would love to continue these raffles for my guild. I usually raffle off precursors, black lion skins, gem card codes for the monthly and misc goodies of value on guild mission nights.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone would be willing to gift me some items to continue these until financing gets back up.

Thanks,

Legendary Armor >> when?

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Mireles Lore.5942

The dev quote from the reddit was so super vague, I have my doubts that he knew what he was talking about or even was cleared to comment on it. It seemed like he pretty much said “it should be in future raid releases” just because he heard “envoy collection” and thought raid.

It wouldn’t make so much since to have one section of the 2nd part of the collection involved in just the first wing of the next raid. There are 6 items left. So if they were going to make it over the entire next raid thats 2 items per wing. Doesn’t make alot of since if they are going to continue on how they did previous raid formats. It just really doesn’t fit.

Assuming it if it is correct we could be waiting for a very long time as it would not be unreasonable to assume if they do involve a new raid, it would include 3 wings, and all wings would be involved in the collection. So we are looking at a possible year, even more, until we see Legendary Armor. Which would not be a smart move by Arena-net.

And that is being generous. The first raid was in development long before HoT’s release and was already being publicly beta tested over a month before it’s initial release.

Why I assume that quote was not accurate and severely hope that we are just waiting for some point in the story arc or until the armor is finished to get these last collections.

[NA][XHSA]11yr Community Guild

in Looking for...

Posted by: Mireles Lore.5942

Mireles Lore.5942

Summary

Xunlai Heroic Service Agents is looking for some highly active, motivated and social players that are seeking a main guild. We are due to clear out about 10 people for being inactive for a month and are looking to fill those slots. We are mostly a PvE based guild but our member’s interest also span moderately into PvP. Our focus is community and an environment to make friend to enjoy the game with.

XHSA is a socially focused guild of 11 years that holds the objective of building community above all other things. This guild was not founded by some clique of friends you never seem to be on the level with. Everyone was complete strangers when they came in and together we formed a community by reaching out to each other and trying to include everyone. We have members that are centric to the community that have been here for years and also ones that have been here just a handful of weeks.

We offer members looking for a home a solid community, the opportunity to grow as a player, and to make some long lasting friends along the way.

Presently our roster is at about 190 members. We have about 50+ people online during our active hours and 10-30 on our off hours, all of which are usually representing. Our pool of 100% rep members is an ever increasing majority due to being able to provide success in the most difficult of content Anet currently has to offer. We welcome those interested in joining a main community to participate in that success.

Below is a link to our reddit recruitment post with some comments from some of our members.

https://redd.it/4xefnm

Please Note:

Members looking to join should know that we DO NOT consider ourselves an alt guild and you will be expected to majority represent. While 100% rep is not mandatory, we enforce our quality standards pretty zealously, you will be asked if you understand them before recruitment. At the very least before inquiring you should review our recruitment page to find out what is expected from members here.

Living Story Season 3 – The Ember Bay

Our guild was excited to hear about the next living story chapter and hope you will join us to experience the new map with us. We have always been a guild filled with players that are regularly active, so this is highly anticipated content for us. If you are returning to the game seeking a home and friends to experience, discover, and discuss the new content this is the place for you. The Ember Bay comes Sept 20th and will have many players looking to catch up on their mastery and other goals in preparation for this new content.

HoT Expansion Content

We realize with the expansion going on sale for 50% off there will be many new and returning players entering this content. Our guild is more than happy to offer a home to these players. Players will find a very helpful community that will offer assistance to meet the challenges this content presents, offer advice on how to best reach your goals, and most importantly an friendly environment in which to find other players to make the journey with.

Raids

While XHSA still raids on a casual basis, we have brought our training and organized raiding program to a close. It has been an incredible journey since we started training with just a hand full of people in wing 1 and reaching the end of wing 3 with over 40 seasoned raiders dedicated to the guild. We have had our struggles, found a lot of talent, and made some great friends along the way.

However, with the overwhelming success and the completion of the final wing it was decided that we will return to a more casual attitude in the guild as leaders were becoming burnt out running upwards of 6+ total guild clears in a week on top of training new people. We are continuing to support raiders on a more impromptu basis and placing the responsibility of forming teams and getting clears on the members themselves.

A motivated raider new or experienced would still fit in well here at XHSA. We are still a very accomplished guild when it comes to raiding. We are a guild that has earned our gold raid statues and then some. We do not have arbitrary checks to get into teams. However, the better equipped and experienced you come the more you would fit in with other experienced raiders forming teams here. The formation of teams is left to our members and may or may not have specific requirements.

That being said, if you are new to raiding, you will be expected to have at-least 1 meta role with appropriate gear and food as well as basic knowledge of the fights that comes with viewing videos and reading guides. Raiding takes a player that is motivated to learn, self teach, and inform themselves. While we are okay taking people with lesser experience, we expect you to be courteous to your team and come prepared and know what to expect from the fights.

Fractals

XHSA is also very active in Fractals. We absolutely love our fractals. The T4 fractal dailys are ran constantly throughout our peak hours and some in the off hours. We have a lot of members that ran 50s back in the day and have great experience in the higher tier fractals. We have no particular requirements for these other than the AR check presented by the game. These are mostly ran on a impromptu basis and are constantly announced in guild chat.

Our Guild Hall & Missions

XHSA has claimed the Lost Precipice guild hall and has completed all of the upgrades required for the max level of 64.

We start gathering in the Arena for some good ol’ guild brawls before missions start. Hour after reset is when we start our missions for the night. We are currently set for PvE only missions as we feel these are the only missions designed with mass participation in mind.

Interested?

I strongly suggest you check out our website to get a good idea of what is expected of members and information about how the guild. You will find detailed information on everything about our guild. Most important our recruitment philosophy, membership expectations, and guild rules.

There is a short application that asks basic things like time zone, server, your interests to ensure that the guild can offer you a quality experience before we invite you.

When you are ready you can fill out out application at our contact page and we will contact you as soon as possible.

Thank you for reading. I look forward to meeting all that are interested.

I have to agree,

Raids have been a massive addition to the game for both me an my guild.

They demand and give a greater depth of pve game-play and mechanics that is the GW2 combat system. This has been great end game content to have to master these things, get outside your comfort zone and try something different with builds and classes to be effective in.

As for the guild. They are something to rise to the challenge of and have been the content which the community has rallied together to achieve and accomplish for others.

From what I understand the Raid team is the smallest development team. I recall reading around 5-6 people. That is very effective considering how large other teams are and how much success such a small team has had.

Very fine work. Looking forward to seeing more raids.

I am with you on the decoration limit. I saw the dev post why they do it. It just seems like way way to strict, unless it was for Arena Decorations only.

For a selling feature of HoT. Guild halls and scribing have been a big let down.

I have just started collecting the guilds unfinished projects as a testament of how ridiculous this limit is. We have yet to complete one.

I can understand limiting the arena for the sake of server stability. Not sure why a cosmetic feature has to suffer to much for ppl playing on potatoes or why they just cant add an option not to render decorations or have low res models.

Guild Issues (venting anger).

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Mireles Lore.5942

Mireles Lore.5942

The system isn’t broken, you are just recruiting the wrong people and the image upon you pitching your guild on might be not what you are wanting your guild to be. It has to be handled much much differently than it does in other games, you have to be competitive with other guilds and even have high standards for membership.

From what I found being a guild leader, if you are trying to build a community guild where nearly everyone reps almost all the time, it takes a very strict and focused strategy. In my experience over half the ppl that inquire will not fit the bill. You don’t want people on your roster there to mooch upgrades, use u as an alt guild, or as just an extended LFG list. Just because influence is not a thing anymore doesn’t mean rep isnt important to a community guild. It shows people are committed, people that are looking for a main guild won’t have a problem repping. If you are building a community, why even have members if they aren’t committed?

I lead a guild I keep capped at 200 members. I seek out people that will treat us as a main guild, and yes, that means “majority” (not to be confused with 100%) representation, while we strongly incentivise 100% rep. If they can’t they don’t get in, if they don’t after the fact they get kicked. Currently, we have 200 members with about 50-60 online every night. There is hardly ever a situation where more than 5 are not repping, mostly everyone reps.

So how to you go about getting people to commit?

Well first of all you need to get rid of people that are not committed and not repping. Nothing will kill your activity and dedication faster than these people. Think about it from the flip side. You are a new member, you see that the roster of the guild you just entered are filled with people not representing or contributing to the guild. Why should you? Why should anyone if there is no standards for membership? This is an impression that will hurt you more than not having those people there.

Your recruitment should focus on people looking for a community and a main guild. You will want to kind of give people an informal interview. Find out what they are looking for in a guild, get to know them a bit, learn their name. Make sure they understand and accept what you expect from them to be a members of your guild, as well as being able to provide what they are looking. If they do not, or can’t, don’t be afraid to decline entry. When you do recruit them make sure you follow through. Being able to retain members is much much more effective than having a revolving door.

All that being said. It is important for you to have goals that can be reached together. It can really be anything as long as they can be reached as a guild and be celebrated upon when you reach milestones of these goals.

Really, the system isn’t broken. Infact it can be used to your advantage. The multi guild system lets people try you out and have otherwise dedicated members that may have a small interest outside of what you are able to provide. I can’t tell you how many people dedicated to dying guilds I converted that would never tried us if it was a single guild system.

I consider myself an average player, and I have not made the effort to get past ruby during these season because I didn’t want to put in the pip grind, knowing I had 4 seasons to get the backpiece, decided to pace myself as I was heavy into raids.

Got to say this season has been the most odd matchmaking wise. I feel like that people that think this is a testament of skill have some pretty wishful thinking considering my experience.

Season 1. Was okay. I got to ruby without to much stress as even if you were totally outmatched the system considered this. It took alot of matches, but got to ruby in about 2 weeks and stopped.

Season 2. This was wildly unbalanced, start of the win streak idea. Took me about 3 weeks and a whole lot of matches to reach ruby. It seemed luck based because there wasn’t any kind of consistency.

Season 3. Seems like…. That you get locked into a pattern. I went from emerald to ruby in under 100 matches. After I spent the first 2 days doing almost nothing but losing. The nights after that, I would suddenly streak 2-3 tiers at a time then go back to losing hard again. Got to ruby last night on a 9 game win-streak. 8 out of 9 matches were really close, had good fights, and some saucy plays.

It seems like luck more than anything since you have to have your wins arranged in a certain order. As much as I lost, I probably shouldn’t be in ruby with around a 40-45% win rate. But, because the way my matches happened to be ordered here I am.

Seasons 1 pip system felt vastly superior as even if you were outmatched/rated. People still had reason to play hard. Your order of wins didn’t matter, just if you were rated to beat that team you had more to lose if you didn’t win. If you were rated to lose you had more to gain by playing your best. There was less of a degree of luck involved because all the emphasis was placed on the matches, not the order of the result of matches played.

Currently at ruby, have my backpeice because of that fortunate bug. I apologize to the ppl that get matched with me as I will be finishing out the AP for classes I have no Idea how to play.

Achievement reward chests need to be boosted

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Mireles Lore.5942

Mireles Lore.5942

Achievement Chests were introduced in June-July of 2013 if I recall correctly. Since then so many things got added to the game and rewards have been increased. This system should get a similar overhaul than what we saw in our daily reward, since the achievement rewards are actually less than they were when PvP skins were a thing.

The daily reward & login reward is more on par with the lesser achievement rewards and take substantial less effort to earn. I think it deserves some balance.

Everyday you can earn the following from logging in and doing daily achievements.

  • 2 gold
  • Spirit shards.
  • Daily Log in reward. Includes Laurels, Mystic Coins, Celebration Booster, Tomes, and a 2% gold find increase at the end of the track with some nice reward choices.
  • At the minimum of 3 daily reward chests from completing the daily. Includes many things like crafting materials, 20 min exp boosters, reward potions, ect.

Now Lets compare that of regular and large achievement chest rewards past the 5000k AP threshold for the sake of accounting for the best scenarios.

For the 500 mark achievement chests.

  • 2 gold
  • 1% Account Increase
  • 1 Laurel
  • 100 Badges of Honor
  • 6,750 Karma
  • Siege Weapon Blueprint
  • Random Booster
  • Random Black Lion Item

For the 1000 mark achievement chests.

  • 2 gold
  • 1% Account Increase
  • 2 Laurel
  • 200 Badges of Honor
  • 10 Mystic forge Stones
  • 13,500 Karma
  • Siege Weapon Blueprint
  • Random Booster
  • Random Black Lion Item

I could go on about the heavy and massive but you get the picture and really the rewards on these milestones are substantial and would only need a small tweak if anything.

Obviously, for the amount of effort it takes to continuously complete the daily/log in rewards and the amount of effort it is to continuously gather AP, one can conclude that the rewards are obviously skewed. As the daily and the log in rewards are recently new overhauls. The Achievement point has only seen rewards removed from it since it was implemented in 2013.

I think these chests can have there rewards updated and would be a perfect opportunity to correct market imbalances, give people motivation to play the game beyond logging in every day, and provide alternative avenues for players to reach material goals that are lacking in acquisition methods.

We already know that a system is in place to distribute rewards for players that have already achieve progress on this track. It can be done like it was before when only one chest was given out over set periods of time as to not shock the market.

I hope Anet sees this and agrees that these rewards need to be revamped to bring them up to par to what the 2016 reward systems look like.

Yeh,

At the 30,500 AP chest. The 5K marks are solid rewards. They need something else other than the gold u get from a daily, booster, jug of karma, and 5 mystic forge stones for the in-between ones.

[NA][XHSA]11yr Guild, Raids, Fractals, & More

in Looking for...

Posted by: Mireles Lore.5942

Mireles Lore.5942

Summary

Xunlai Heroic Service Agents is looking for about 20 members to replace those who became inactive this past month. We are looking for players of any skill level that are looking for an active main guild and a community to become a part of. While XHSA has gained a reputation of being a raid heavy guild, it is not a requirement of recruitment. Community is still our priority and seek out members looking for a main guild to be mutually committed to.

XHSA is a socially focused guild that holds the objective of building community above all other things. This guild was not founded by some clique of friends you never seem to be on the level with. Everyone was complete strangers when they came in and together we formed a community by reaching out to each other and trying to include everyone. We have members that are centric to the community that have been here for years and also ones that have been here just a handful of weeks.

We offer members looking for a home a solid community, the opportunity to grow as a player, and to make some long lasting friends along the way.

Presently our roster is at about 200 members.

Members looking to join should know that we DO NOT consider ourselves an alt guild. We enforce our quality standards pretty zealously, you will be asked if you understand them before recruitment. Before you inquire you will at the very least check out recruitment section on our website for details on these standards.

Raids

XHSA strongest interest right now is probably raids. Since raids have started we evolved to become very effective at support all stages of a members development and experience into this mode. We had a very successful training initiative and have built a very large raiding base with 4 full clear teams while still supporting training runs. We did not recruit highly experienced members for our teams, we trained them in house. If you are a player that is serious about raiding in a community, this is your place to get off the ground and/or have your skills appreciated and utilized to get your weekly kills. If you have the drive to raid XHSA offers a road to results.

Presently, we are open to take select individuals on for raid training. Our scheduled training days are on Wednesday and Saturday. There are also impromptu raids being held throughout the week at random times. We are seeking members with particular builds that want to be trained in raids. If you are brand new but you have a Druid Healer, Chronomancer, or a Condi Reaper you can see some good run times in our guild. Members applying for training will have to have the appropriate meta stats in ascended trinkets and main-hand weapons. The only exception being Condi Reaper where exotic Vipers will be acceptable.

While we are open to training just about any member, players that only have berserker based builds such as PS Warriors, Dragon Hunter, Dare Devils, Heralds, and Tempests are just all to common right now to rotate into our scheduled training and still get our present members significant raid time. However, these players would still be welcome to join, hop onto impromptu runs when they can and wait for spots to open up.

As far as our 4 full clear teams we do not presently have any open spots on these dedicated teams but raiders of all skill levels will find plenty of impromptu runs to get there weekly kills. Our raiders enjoy raiding many still run after they get their kills because they enjoy the mode, getting kills/achievements for others, and seek to become more efficient at multiple classes. These happen just about every day at random hours.

Since we consider ourselves a community guild as apposed to a raiding guild. You will find a very different environment what you will find in most raiding guilds. This guild does not have a clique core team that runs and clears and leaves everyone else to kind of fend for themselves or are taken if they are needed. Our experience and our skill is spread throughout all of our teams and our focus is to get all experienced members their clears as well as build our newer members up to experienced status. It is the leaders’ priority to include all of our community first, everything else comes second.

XHSA is very lucky to have raid leaders willing to run multiple times a week and care deeply about out members to take time our of there schedule to teach training runs. You will also not find any arbitrary insight checks or trials to get onto a team. Making progress in your personal skill and producing results is your only trial to get placed on a team. If we feel that something is lacking we will work with you to correct it as apposed to stamping you bad and denying you membership or raid time.

PLEASE NOTE. We DO NOT consider ourselves an alt raiding guild. Training takes time, availability, and resources that are limited. It is our priority to build a large raiding base within our community with players that are or will be active in our community. While we are open to take in just about any open-minded player for raiding. We are presently not interested in players that are looking just for a raid group, do not have an interest in being a part of our community, or are looking for a guild to be loosely affiliated with to be used to catch a few raid runs.

Fractals

XHSA is also very active in Fractals. The fractal dailys are ran constantly throughout our peak hours and some in the off hours. We have a lot of members that ran 50s back in the day and have great experience in the higher tier fractals.

Tier 4 daily fractals are ran on a regular basis throughout the day. These are mostly impromptu in nature and called out in guild chat and ran on a first come first serve basis. These have no requirements other than meeting the AR check, and we are always happy to teach people new to fractals.

HoT Meta & Achievements

The guild is still having a great time in HoT leveling masteries and getting hero points for new elite specializations. You will have no trouble finding a partner to get your hero points. We also on occasion command map metas and pack as many guild members as we can in there. The guild favorites right now are Dragonstand and Auric Basin, but you will also see us occasionally attempt Verdant and Tangled.

We also on weekends will host some hero point runs for members looking to get their specialization fairly quickly. These usually take up an hour or two depending the volume of runners. Anyone with the appropriate gliding mastery can participate and start at the starting WP in Verdant Brink.

We also have some AP hunters in the guild that are willing to assist with story achievements as well as map related ones.

Our Guild Hall & Missions

XHSA has claimed the Lost Precipice guild hall and has completed all of the upgrades required for the max level of 64.

We start gathering in the Arena for some good ol’ guild brawls before missions start. Hour after reset is when we start our missions for the night. We are currently set for PvE only missions as we feel these are the only missions designed with mass participation in mind.

Interested?

I strongly suggest you check out our website to get a good idea of what is expected of members and information about how the guild and raids are ran. You will find detailed information on everything about our guild. Most important our recruitment philosophy, membership expectations, and guild rules. You will also find detailed information on our raiding policies, the builds we prefer to use, our raid roster, along with our schedule.

Contact

There are several ways to get in contact to discuss recruitment.

The best way to get into contact with someone immediately is via our discord which a link can be found on our contact page. If all the recruiters happen to be afk you should leave some details on how to get in touch with you in-game.

You may also shoot us an email sent to our regularly monitored guild email address via the contact page as well. You should include in your e-mail your in game contact details as well as a little bit about yourself and why you are looking to join XHSA.

If you perfer in-game contact you may shoot me a mail on Mireles Lore.5942. It should include the same details as above.

You mail is our initial impression to see if you are a good fit for our community. Please do not forget to include a bit about yourself. I do not believe in sending blind invites. I, or a recruiter, will be looking to speak with you a little to make sure you are a good fit for the guild and get to know you a bit before we introduce you to the guild. Please feel free to whisper me if I do not first. However, I am often busy and might not be able to reply. The best way to ensure I get back to you is sending a mail first.

Thank you for reading. I look forward to meeting all that are interested.

[Suggestion] League needs to be reworked.

in PvP

Posted by: Mireles Lore.5942

Mireles Lore.5942

I think the main issue ArenaNet is really using the wrong motivation combined with the most frustrating reward system to get ppl to PvP. I mean lets face it, aside from the rewards and fancy name plate stickers, has leagues added to the PvP experience?

The pip system doesn’t gauge skill or placement. It is a reward track to assign rewards to players on there progress. It has become that double sided joke where if you are stuck you are bad and deserve to be there, yet so few people hold the value of being in diamond or legendary as being skilled because so many simply grinded there.

People’s motivations for entering PvP are not good for the experience. We have a bunch of players in ranked that are not here to enjoy sPvP, they are here to get their rewards and get out. For a “competitive” mode this is probably the worst thing you can do. Before leagues it was rare to see people just straight up give up or just sit there and rage when things slightly go wrong. AFKs, giving up, raging at your team has becomes ever so common in ranked because people are not here to play there best and have fun. They are here for the shinnies, not to compete, not to get better, and not here because they enjoy pvp. There is no punishment for just giving up just like there is no motivation to keep pushing, keep trying, to minimize your loss like there was in season 1.

The system of progression through win streaking only serves to frustrate the hell out of the majority of players. It tosses all other aspects of playing out the window except winning, not even winning, but winning consecutively. Something that rarely happens enough to a player of average skill to get anywhere. It makes it easy for people to be frustrated that spend hours getting no where, which only farther promotes the behavior detailed above.

I have been playing all pvp modes since Guild Wars 1 came out. They are repeating mistakes they made in one in 2 now. Ranked is an absolute cancer of an sportsmanship environment now. The quality of matches are at its worse it has been since the game came out. If you are not winning, you are not making progress, you are not having fun, and people quit playing your mode. This happened in Guild Wars 1, while it was great initially for the high end players it soon turned to less than a handful of teams playing each-other in HoH wondering why it took hours for them to be matched with an opponent.

While all this might be genius for ArenetNet’s metrics to have people spend hours and hours in a mode they don’t really want to be playing, it is really only going to be a short term gain for them. They have given up on a quality experience to promote the illusion of competitive eSports. I am sure participation is skewing downward this year as more and more ppl are getting the rewards they want and getting out. I for one know I wont be returning for season 4 after I complete the AP out for all the classes. It isn’t fun like it used to be when people played it for fun.

This just isn’t a competitive environment like ArenaNet has claimed. They need something the resembles an actual competition than this grindy reward track they call leagues. They need to attract players that actually want to compete in a format you actually need to compete to get rewards.

Recently, I was attempting to cap an empty far when 3 of them show up after defeating my team at Mid. They down me then all take off at once leaving me on the spot to rally and cap the point.

Strangest thing I ever saw.
