I hope we will get a new zone next week, but I think it’s best, for storytelling reasons to set everything up in Brisban for this release, and then in the next patch, we make a move into the new zone for whatever reason.
I’d love to see that but I seriously doubt that any company would be able to pull that off especially when we look at the maps that we already have, they are all incredibly detailed and beautiful you can’t produce those kinds of maps in such a short timespan (not talking about the 2 weeks)
There was a dedicated team who was working on a desert since launch.
I personally don’t care for that weird bamboo parachute thingy. I just hope new features and content will be fun.
I’ll tell you a secret. Anet decided to stop writing preview pages prior the release because of numerous reasons (in-game economic-wise, spoiler-wise, etc). We only get teasers like this one.
Next point: This is freaking Season 2! It’s Anet way of distributing a true datadisk. It was confirmed that new updates will be permanent. They need to attract back their players and there is no better way of doing it, than by Grand introduction of 2 new regions (by opening the first zone in Maguuma Wastes region). The patch need to be big and beyond players’ expectations to create OMG I LOVE ANET effect.
Story wise: The story concentrates around our new group of NPC heroes who are mainly investigators and thus, there must be some new secret villain and unexpected twists (taking down of Zephirites).
All in all, this first S2 update is created to blow our minds. However, we will have to see if Anet manages to pull this off without any major bugs, errors, instabilities, and other issues we’ve experienced in the former big patches.
fingers crossed

5 points are really easy and GW1 is great. Go for it
I was awarded Dusk when I put 1027g into trading post.
first precursor after 2 years of gameplay, if I don’t count Venom which I used for crafting Kraitkin and consequently selling for moneyz
OP, we really don’t need posts like this. Situation with material loot is already really bad. We don’t want another nerf.
In some boss stacking instances where I don’t need to move or dodge, I hide that sparkling firework blur with my inventory or hero tab, and I look only on nameplates and cleanse conditions or support in other ways… and of course spam DPS skills rotation.
Those shiny effects are really annoying. Can’t we turn them off, ANet? Please please :o)
Doesn’t matter anymore… i bought it for 1027g. I doubt the price will get lower any time soon. A week ago, someone sold his pile of Dusks and prices got to 850g per buy order, but that was extreme situation and I don’t believe I would get my order filled if I set the price even to 900g.
Hi Harny, I will lend some space here, because I lost my rights to create own topics
I hope you don’t mind.
Hi guys,
I crafted and sold Kraitkin, just to be able to buy Dusk before inflation pushes it up again. But now, when I’m sitting on a pile of gold, I somehow don’t want to spend 1000+ gold on it when it cost ~900g just a few weeks ago. Do you think the price will go back for a bit or just further up?

it is account bound before use – all of them
I just don’t get why they didn’t do what is logical – legendary should be a token of skill and dedication, not a token of dedication and luck. Seeing some player with a legendary doesn’t mean anything…
i did all bosses and all achievements including the 8 orb achievement with ranger last year when they first introduced the crown pavillion. dont say things that arent true.
Go ahead and make us a video of your ranger skills.
its uploading while im typing this. it says about 45 minutes remaining
goodnight!

The best skill-based-dodges gameplay I’ve seen to date. You even use 180° camera rotation. Anf how you dodged the aoe by that backjump bow skill in just the right milisecond…. you are godlike ranger
So someone who haven’t even played the first dungeon of the game gets 2 precursors in one day and already got the third?
Yeah, @ArenaNet this sounds completely right!!!! His gameplay must be legendary for sure!
smashing my laptop on the wall
+1
I know that it is not in your authority to tell something about the development of the game. I can say that I don’t like the company’s aproach to responding on the forums, not the actual developers who can write only what they are told.
It is true that I don’t want to ask anything connected to the story. So far, I love it, and I know you will give us a great Season 2 with Mordremoth, and Maguuma maps, and so on.
However, there are same basic things, which I expected to be in game a long time ago.
Just a few here:
Precursor quest – can you at least confirm it is still on the table and that you will ship it in the next Feature Pack? Players like me will never be able to save enough gold to buy it from TP as the prices go up way too fast for a casual player. I don’t think legendaries should be restricted only to rich players with thousands of golds in their account. It is not right that there are some individuals who have like 30 precursors in their bank and play with prices however they want.
Some kind of raid tool – have you at least considered it? Please, don’t tell us that you think that the way how organized groups have to do the mega events like Tequatl, Tripple Trouble or that new Living Story Blitz on gold reward is all right. There should be some ability to create own instance to do the event. It is so annoying when you just can’t get on the map and end up with PUG who fail Wurm every time.
Jewelcrafting and Cooking 500 – nothing more needs to be explained
Then some fixes:
- invisible tequatl bug
- PVP armor boxes give only one piece of armor instead of full set (although its description says it gives you full set) I don’t think one piece of armor responds to how long have to player do one dungeon track.
- black lion weapon tickets – do you really support casino-like aproach to ingame store? I don’t find it fun, nor fair to put RNG behind things you want to buy for real money… I would really like to buy some Tormented and Phoenix weapons for real money, however I won’t spend hundreds of Euros for them. Nor will I spend my hard-gained gold when I’m saving for the precursor.
There are more complaints… these are just some I care about the most.
I know you actually cannot answer to these questions, but at least you can see them and the company can talk about them.
(sorry for any grammar errors, I’m not a native speaker)

Laidari is too much overpowered. I wasted ~70 tickets, 10g and all festival tokens to get absolutely NOTHING from her. She needs to cripple less, have 2 at max inv buffs and spam less red fields. HP nerf would be welcomed as well.I am trying to kill her for 2 days already and Im seriously out of patience for this game.. aNET please do something about this.
Thanks in advance.
I did her on the second try…. If you are not good at this game, don’t blame the difficulty.
It seems like devs respond only to useless topics like this and doesn’t care about giving response to anything important. Never before I’ve seen such aproach to customers. Sad.
/delete this nonsense
Sometimes arenanet starts to do something and then stop…. like precursor quest or these mats
It is scientificaly proved that 95% of GW2 player base are mindless speechless illiterate children or elderly people.
Well, maybe not scientificaly, but you can see it with your own eyes.
Everyone just wants to smash #1 and wait for loot. More complicated tactics are too hard for them.
It’s good I stopped caring for achievements from living story. Now I can just completely ignore pavilion
But Bazaaar is good, I like the new spots of collectable crystals.
though I might add that if the exotic is not named, your buy orders will fill out VERY slowly, and that’s why named exotics are usually used since they are more common, and people wrongly believe that only level 80 exotics will net you a precursor.
I have a few questions:
1. are there any 70-79 exotics with names?
2. have you already get some precursors by using this method?
I was wondering the same thing lol…
If you can up this thread everyday Anet won’t be feigning ignorance. It should be seen by Anet everydays so that they’ll never forget the precursor issues.
Good idea
I like the dungeons the way they are
Dev, try to play Planetside 2. You will get why OP wants INGAME voice comm.
I didn’t. The most amazing fight in GW2 (for me)
Look at my signature, lol
632 days, 1505 hours. No drop. But I bought Venom for 21g, lol
I tried wildstar:
instead of voice over there were hundreds of bubbles everywhere
in addition to it, UI was so big I didn’t see anything in the world.
The game runs smoothly? I play smoothly every game, yet Wildstar runs horrible on both max and min details.
Omg, you are playing RPG, level your character!
Sentinel stats are the last combo Anet supports. It is all about DPS race.
Ascended armor/weapons are mainly for veteran players. As newbie, you only need to craft exotic. Farm ascended accessories through guild missions, laurels, fractals. After you get everything you want, you may consider crafting ascended just to have some achievable goal. (Legendaries are currently quite not achievable for normal players
)
Sorry but what you wrote was said thousands of times… just waste of time to write it all over again.
I would definitelly like to help you. I have yet to kill wurm
In terms of gear, I wear full ascended soldier, so I guess that is good for a world boss
I hav infraction point becaus my englis is bad
moderator is bad
Hmm…. if only I knew which items get extra expensive so i can actually win some gold in TP….
I don’t envy you… GZ…. I just feel like a total noob in terms of economics…. I had so much gold so many times… if only I invested it wisely at the right moment
This is achievable only by playing TP
I finally decided to play this game smart…. I won’t play mystic toilet and I won’t buy precursor and dump all the money I earned the hard way just to have a skin. It’s better to invest gold, play with it to get more. And when dumping 3000 rare GSs won’t ruin me, I will get the precursor. Guys like the one in the video just don’t care about losing. They have so much gold, they can buy anything. The game completely changes for them. No need for farming ever again.
this guy stole all the luck from other people’s accounts
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UyZ1I2xesU&feature=youtu.be
check out his other videos too – he gets GS precursors every 300g spent
Precursors and raid tools…
In some ways it is much more fun than GW2
Not if you have Nightfall – part of that campaign are real hard and annoying. It seems they purposely made it hard.
I played all the campaigns. I liked the difficulty. In GW2 everything is totally easy or unbeatable due to lack of raid tools.
In some ways it is much more fun than GW2
I think the trial contains only vanilla game, so no EOTN, which means no HOM.
Even if it had EOTN inside, I doubt you can link trial account to GW2…..
Yeah, so no more “you can do every dungeon in any party”
So, arenanet “fixed” pressure plates so players cannot stand on them while they are dead….. really? how are we supposed to do this fractal? I would like to see some dev who designed it.
Just delete it already.
Already has a name. Guild Wars 2: Living World.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/
Icon is already made.
aaah nice! i guess the living story will only continue after official china release oh?
Yes, it will. Still, it is long way to go
Guys, buy them from TP the fastest you can if you plan on crafting Legend sometime…. It’s really the best way out there.
Those people are like unicorns…
OP got 20 precursors with 7k gold. As soon as you stick out the RNG, you will see that forging precursors is quite lucrative.
If you can make investment of 3000g and have luck at the beginning to increase your funds and continue with forging, then yes. However, it is still only about luck… no “business science” involved in this BS.
