Please upvote this topic if you agree. We need that character slot to be included in the base HOT. If there will be enough people here, they might start taking it seriously.

No character slot, no money.

The worst part is, ArenaNet understands this. But they are not the ones who are setting the prices, NCsoft do. Those Korean kingpins are ripping us of, not Anet. And poor Anet has to look at this armageddon in forum and receive all the guilt.

This is what bugs me the most. How is it possible that I am not able to fully enjoy the new features without paying another extra 10€ or deleting one of my characters?

Give us an option to buy:
1. HoT with the base game
2. HoT with 1 character slot

Both for 45€. Then you have me. Until then, see you in other FULL games for the same price. You are trying to rip us off and it is really NOT okay.

Well, non of the 3 editions is attractive.
The first one is too expensive…. I expected 35-40€. The extra 5 euros is not much difference but I it’s not cool of the NCsoft, especially when I need to pay 10€ more just to be able to play one of the main features of the Xpac – Revenant.
…. So the game is actually 55€, the same as the Vanilla pre-purchase release. And considering the Xpac is much smaller than the Vanilla, then meh. You are charging too much.

The second edition for 75€. Well, I suppose this one is nicer, especially for people who want those skins. But for me, 75€ is too much for game and a bunch of textures as a bonus.

The final edition is the only one which is actually a good value… Those 4000 are on a very generous discount here.

But the question is, who has 100€ to pay for a game these days? … actually just a an expansion pack.

I looted that wind something backpack from the chest at the end of the Sprinting activity… sorry i really dont remember the names. I think I sold it for something between 70 to 90g. But due to my stupidity I lost much more gold than I won – for example few days ago I tried to get the recipe for superior sigil of the night… I lost like 15 gold, then gave up and bought the recipe for 7g.

okay, so there is no reason to spend my skill point scrolls… QQ. I don’t like losing progress. I didn’t ask for it.

What will happen when the new HoT changes arrive? Will we get all of our 6-0 skills unlearnt? What if I want to unlock my skills with scrolls of knowledge? Can I do it, or is it a waste of scrolls/spirit shards?

I’m not sure if I want spirit shards! Explain how this will affect the skill aquisition, please.

In GW1 you have a nice login screen, all the news are on the bulletin board IN the login screen. It is certainly possible (other games have it *cough*WoW*cough*) I don’t see any reason why it should be a difficulty for GW2 :P

Now use the earned gold and try it again :-P I bet your luck is depleted for at least 2 years.

I don’t get it… I don’t play zerk on my guard and I never get kicked.. actually ppl in pugs usually praise me and the party is having a good time. You just have to look for non-elitist parties. If you don’t die and do your job properly, it doesn’t matter if you complete the dung in 10 minutes or 15.

If racial skills are supposed to be used at least a bit, make them free of charge for every character. Example: as soon as you hit 31 as a human, you get hounds of balthazar. The same goes for utility skills. It wouldn’t change the end game use, but I actually don’t think that they are supposed to be used a lot. Anet always advertised them to be just fun skills.

BTW, summon mistfire wolf is the best skill anyway :P I remember how I once did pretty hard achievement in Queen’s Gauntlet just thanks to him

I think you guys already made up your mind and my opinion does not really matter as everyone loves the idea, but still here it is: No, I do not like it. If you want, you can add these elites, but leave the elites be. I am using tome of courage quite a lot during mass PVE events to keep the NPCs alive. And sometimes I equip tome of wrath because…it is fun to burn everybody around you.

Mounts were mentioned as NPC-only and it does not change their speed. It is just a visual thingy.

OP, if this really really does bother you, you are probably overly touchy person. It is nothing wrong about it. It is how society works, it happens in reality, it happens in books, movies, and yes, in games too. It does not mean it is right, but people should be aware of it. If you want to close out before it, please do, but don’t try to remove this storyline from other players. I personally am not offended by religious remarks at all.

Canach is not firstborn and he resisted the effect. All the player characters resisted too (even though my new ele is sylvari named Sylvari Mordrem and looks the most most awfully possible :-P)

Kids these days. Bring back the Guild Wars 1 healing signet! (From what I recall, it was a decent spike heal on a low cooldown, but you took double damage during the activation. No passive effect.)

That would not work in GW2. Imagine that skill in WvW. Suicide.

weird argument… imagine that skill in PVP while focused…. or in PVE while focused by a bunch of mobs… it is always a suicide if you are getting damage and that’s why it is so interesting

There are actually many great suggestions in this topic!!!! You guys have great ideas! I especially like:
1. on activating skill give 1 sec invuln + 5 sec condi. imunity
2. switch warrior’s and elementalist’s signets (however elementalist is pretty annoying with his self heal already) … I would actually suggest to do this switch with guardian’s signet… i know that guardian already has enough of regen, but meh, my guardian wants it!
3. give more hp regen with 0 adrenalin, and less regen with full adrenalin
4. GW1 signet – spike heal, but double damage during the longer activation

I hope the devs read this topic really smart ideas.

I think the whole fleet was destroyed and there is no more pact.. just some survivors. It is now just the heroes who matter in the war against Mordremoth.

I also find healing signet pretty pathetic… It is so strong that you actually never press the button, so it is like trading 1 skill slot for in-combat steady regen.

Everybody misses the old lighthouse. There are 2 consortium NPCs + a golem and it seems like they plan to make the lighthouse stand straight again, but they are not sure if it will work.

This patch kicked me from the game right after I finished the final part of the living story. It means I lost my chest with carapace helmet, right? …. Ah, anet.. i didnt ask you to log me out. I dont care about your update

Oh gosh, Lily — I’m so sorry if you were concerned about that! Let’s be clear — I think the verbiage was clear, but again: If you get a Portal to Maguuma’s Heart you are guaranteed access to the beta test!

No it did not end yesterday. There were some rumours that the build ended it, but forum posts prove that the portals are still dropping, and that is as intended.

Random is random. Some amount of duplication seems part of the randomness of the drops.

I also spent 30 hours of farming it and I did not get it. What about me? Will I get in? … Other people have multiple copies of it… what about them? Will they get a diploma in Lucky Joes?

Okay, i I will give it one more shot, …but I don’t believe I will get it

Today, I used MF for 22 random rare weapons, I got back 2 exotics. Yesterday, I opened around 250 bags of loot from SW, I got 2 exotics. …There are times when I don’t get any exotic for months. And even though I’ve never won precursor lottery (or that kitten beta access), I don’t think Anet is purposely letting new players having a better loot. It is just RNG and RNG had proved to be unjust to players who really enjoy playing the content and expect some shinny every now and then, and too much rewarding for players who play just to get rich so they can claim things like “this is my 7nd precursor, you just don’t know how to play, you noob”….

I tried 2 full Silverwastes cycles with something like 400 MF. Didn’t get it but I got some nice exotics and T6 mats…. it is probably better to just enjoy the game and not to expect that stone to drop. It is just a limited closed beta anyway…

I hope there will not be any 1500 range I hate it in PVP.

We have nothing to do in the game and yet now is not a good time to play at least the old levels of SAB. … … …

Please elaborate on their functionality in HOT. Will they still provide level up? Will we be able to use them on Revenants?

Also, it would be really lovely to explain Scrolls of Knowledge turning into " MF mats"

Please, can you move bottom right minimap more to the experience bar? There is a few pixels gap that is very annoying on small notebook displays (15,6" 1366*768). The Way it was for 3 years was very good.

Bugged?.. hardly.. just RNG.. I got these shinies.. And it is true that I did not have enough luck with zerker ones. I bought them through pristine relics.

I enjoy this game so much that today I bought another deluxe version just for fun I will play some PVP on NA servers and maybe someday I will convice my girlfriend to play it with me

If you want to buy an account for someone else but you want to activate it and everything, just create a new email account and bind it on it. Once you have some friend who would like to play it, give him the accounts for mail and game, he can change the password and it is done

I wrote it when I was enraged.
I actually like the map when it is really not about getting 500 points but just shooting/bashing each other. My problem is, that I run really specific build (probably non-meta, because I’m hipster) which is useless on this map because as a Guardian I need to equip hammer, scepter, shield and I lose all my ways of getting swiftness and my damage is halved. On any other map I can run this build and it is okay. Even on Spirit watch… That map is more or less okay, I like that you drop the orb when you become invulnerable, but it is just boring, and people usually don’t defend the points so it is hard to win something solo.

Remove Skyhammer from unranked.
Revamp Spirit Watch to make it more fun.
Delete Skyhammer completely.
Bring back Capricorn at least to hot join.
Delete Skyhammer.
Delete Skyhammer.

Play with Latin, give your character 2 or 3 word name.

After completing all the achievements for the LS episode and even finishing the repeated instances one-by-one as they follow, the icon in the journal stays being a “grey star” instead of the “medal” that symbolizes mastery over the episode.

I know it is a little bug, but it is annoying and confusing!
