Melee her with GS 2 and 3 skill then always run away. Try to hit her illusions. If they blow on your face you will get insta rally.
Range her only when you evading AOEs. It is too slow to range her. With greatsword you can kill her with full soldier stat guardian

Little luck involved because My mistfire wolf hit the Chomper with 3 barrage shots which means 12s chilled. So I was first at meat everytime.. It was really short fight. Like 15 seconds maybe…. use dodge regen food!
try to kite chomper in little circle while your Mistfire Wolf shoots aoe
edit: AND SPAM PICKUP BUTTON ALL THE TIME IF YOU STAND ON CHOMPER

Ok I did it with this set up shown in screenshots… you just have to be quick and lucky. and always spam PICKUP in case he throws the meat right below the dog – and that means, keep dog and Strogar in one place and smash them both all the time

This is what i used through all the fights, try it out! I found it pretty easy!
The tactic is pretty straight forward, keep swiftness up with the staff as much as you can. Knockdown/Weakness, swap to sword/focus for more dps if needed, once the dps from the sword is on CD, use the defensive focus skills if needed and swap back to your staff.

Go spirit weapons on guardian with sword, hammer and shield plus hounds of balthazar if you are human, if not I guess mistfire wolf might work. Take all the gambits but earthquake and squeamish and go after subject seven. If you purely focus the boss the hammer will hit him away from the mini oozes to reduce healing, the sword and elite is extra damage and the shield protects you and does extra damage with it’s active every CD. You should be able to nuke him down before the weapons end.

About the quagan, it chases the weapons around and fails at killing them since it doesn’t seem like they have frailty and he doesn’t get stacks.

traits: 30/15/15/0/10 – (II, X, XI), (I), (VI), (V)

It was very close but if you spam your skills and aoe oozes you will get rally, I got rallied 3 times thanks to my spirit weapons and mistfire wolf – if you dont have wolf try using something else, like sylvari dog, or balthazar hounds
YOU DON’T HAVE TO KILL QUAGGAN just be careful not to damage him

The fact that this minigame costs tickets is sad. I personally have lesser gold than before the patch came out, only because I try to complete 5 gambit achiev which takes you 6 tickets.

I was trying to make some viable build for killing Liadri and after many failures I ended up with my default tanky, condition removal build which I use in WvW, dungeons and open world And I also realize how I got better and better with each try. But I still think some of the achievements are unfair to some classes: denying Chomper eating meat(easiest for warriors), 5 gambit(for mesmers, necros), and Light up the darkness (which I heard is actually easiest to be done with guardian)

I just logged in and did it, still works. Yes its 4 gambits you’re missing the point, you do know those bags have 9-11 silver each right? Watch the video again and use the correct rotation; I said above you need 100% crit why would you waste money on a rare set (why don’t you have a zerker set to begin with)?

Sword number 2 recharges right when he teleports as I said above and then 1 auto attack chain kills him…

If you want to kill before he teleports you need FULL zerker (which means lvl 80 exotic) with scholar runes and food. But you don’t need it, just press 2 again..

This is the kind of thing I loved about GW1 strict builds for great income, you can’t just run the same run of the mill stuff 24/7 and expect it to work with every farm. XD

I don’t have it because it is a plague in this game. Every berseker item is worth 2 times more than others, for what? Ignoring all game mechanics and just hapily smash few buttons and get bosses killed with no effort involved.

But back to topic: you miss the point, this topic was about 5 gambits, to get High Staker achievement. Nobody here cared about farming them. So, do it with 5 gambits on and I swear it won’t work and you will die in agony – if not, everyone would be happy to hear your tactics.

People invite guardians into the party because of their party aegis, other boons, heals and condition removals. Try to make some build which uses some of those things to be actually helpful not just DPSer

Subject 7 as guardian: use many reflect/absorb skills and kill it from some distance, this way the small slimes dont heal it. This achievement is easy as guardian.

Deadeye with 5 gambits as guardian: use a spirit weapon build, spirit weapons do full damage, even if you have gambits active.

I did it with subject 7 by spamming reflection, once you get the timing down it pretty much kills itself for you.

how can you spam reflection? it’s just one skill, others like shield of avenger are only absorbing them

So Wall of Reflection. Maybe I will try it with rare zerk items. They are not that expensive and it should still be doable.

I don’t understand why full tanky guardian with great healing power and many blocks cannot do it. I don’t know what am i doing wrong. There is just not enough damage to kill Deadeye sooner than I deplete my Focus renewal to mitigate Deadeye’s headshot, or to endure Ooze’s damage by using blocks and healing. Guardian’s condition build is not that powerful as necromancer’s. There is really no way without buying full zerker armor, which I won’t do when ascended armors and weapons are behind the door.

Great design, so extra 20 AP are given only to those who are able to kill boss faster than burning gambit get you killed. I love QG but this is just ridiculous… have you tested this achievement with non zerker characters? I doubt it.

I haven’t done it yet, but I know that there are 2 ways how to do it. Both of them require high damage (which I don’t have as a soldier stat guardian).
1st option is to spam AoE skills on Ooze and immediately kill his adds. You have to be quick so burning gambit won’t kill you first.

2nd option is to kill Dead-eye. You need even more damage output and be very skilled in dodging (you cannot dodge into those land mines). The less damage you do, the more time it takes and that gives Deadeye more chances to kill you.
Ofc, you have to use teleportation skills on sword and utility skill to close the range of his headshot attack.

For me it looks easier to try to kill Ooze.

Aeris I know, but sometimes that dog is always faster than you, no matter what you do.
Aphix, I know, necromancer is ideal for this achievement but mine is only lvl 20

So, I just finished Liadri, killed Ooze without killing lesser oozes, killed ooze with Frailty and Squeamish, but I have no idea how to stop chomper from eating that food. Immobilize skills doesnt work for some reason and pulling and throwing skills on GS and hammer takes long time to use. Have anyone managed it? I don’t have any other alt on level 80 so it’s impossible for me to do it I even think that doing that other achievement with throwing 8 crystals on Liadri is easier than this on guardian. The only harder and no-idea-how-to-do achievement for guardian is High Staker.

Killed Liadri with condition removal guardian – dodge regen food, renewed focus and Shelter are your friends. Greatsword whirlwind is must have for killing her. Don’t waste time trying to range her with scepter.

I run with full soldier stats.

Check the thread in the Guardian forum for solo advice. Made one just for this to discuss different builds. You should know ahead of time that the guardians there usually post screen shots of their achievement so that they don’t end up just feeding false information.

After around 30 tries in various groups and solo tries I done it solo because it glitched. Only one runner was spawning for me. No mortar npc or striker or swashbluckler spawned. So I just stood in the middle and ranged the only runner… I won’t have so much luck when I will do it for Kiel achievement

Doesn’t it seem to you all kittened to wear books, holographic chicken wings/backpack, flower, tentancles, dream catchers? It does for me.

If anything should be worn beside rucksack, it should be cape or cloak!
ArenaNet give us these weird, unlogical things only because they are lazy to finally develop system which would fix clipping issues on all items. Why would anyone want to wear a flower? Does it smell good, or it gives you Bee Worker’s Aura? Why would anyone want to wear wings when they don’t allow you to fly?
I and probably majority of players want cloaks! A piece of clothing which helps keeping you warm and dry. Shown in every great fantasy novel like LOTR or The Name of The Wind. Fantasy heroes without capes are just not complete. Every traveler needs one

so 2,5K more achievements to get that beautiful shiny helm? bad arenanet, bad!
