something like X world you have 15 minutes to take this 1b. Y world defend 1b camp for 15 minutes. Both servers would receive the orders at the same time to 1 commander on each server. The Third world would receive another order to take a different objective.
The way i’m reading this X world would show up with their 40 man blob and get easy rewards.
Y world would get overrun because the single group they have doesn’t stand a chance and their backup is waiting on queue even though they are out numbered.
The third world is running around the rest of the zone with their 30 man blob taking free caps.
Doesn’t sound much different except you’re going to kitten off every commander out there by telling them where and when to attack.

A couple of times I have been in a Dry Top thats reached Tier 4 and has a chance for Tier 5 and all of a sudden everyone gets a notice that the zone is going to be closed and they are offered a 10 min buff to swap to a “better” one.
Every time I accept the buff i am put in a map that has much less progress towards zephyrite favor and in 1 case i moved from a tier 4 to a tier 1.
Anyone else having this same issue or am I just imagining that they didn’t account for progress when they designed the “zone closing” program?

Speaking mostly of T1 servers here lets say each of the 3 main servers has a player pool of 1000 (just tossing out a number).
Of that 1000:
250 are hard core seasoned WvW players who mainly care about their servers
placement.
250 are middle casual players who care about loot and karma as much as placement.
500 players are total noobs and uplevels who only care about xp, karma and satisfying quick caps for rank points.
When one of these servers is OG the majority of the casual, noobs and uplevels will pile into EotM because it’s almost a guaranteed xp/karma train leaving the actual WvW areas to be populated by the hard core players with the higher skills.
In reverse when one of these servers is FR the casuals and noobs will avoid EotM and fill up the rest of WvW and during peak hours will actually prevent seasoned players from participating.
This is just my opinion and i’m sure many will argue with it but if you watch the numbers cooresponding to which server is which color in EotM you’ll see the trend.

Places like Dry Top and Southsun Cove don’t count towards overall map completion. They were added in after the establishment of zones like ascalon, maguuna, shiverpeaks, etc. were put in place at the beginning of the game.
As such, Dry Top at least, doesn’t count towards any type of ‘zone’ kill.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Kryta
It does list Southsun as a Kryta zone and when the daily is Kryta kills the mobs in that zone count towards the daily. I’m wondering if there was an oversight in placing Dry Top as a maguuma zone for the same credit when the daily is Maguuma.
~Dr. Seuss
Kills in Dry Top are not counted as Maguuman kills towards the daily, what zone is Dry Top considered to be then?

Fair:
noun
1. A place where fairs, horse races, etc., are held; in the U.S. usually an area set aside by a city, county, or state for an annual fair and often containing exhibition buildings.
verb
2. (Of the weather) become fine.“looks like it’s fairing off some”
adjective
3. (Of hair or complexion) light; blond.

If you’re considering how the GW2 Team can best hear your input about the game — such as what you’d like to see in the future, how things are working now, etc. — I personally don’t think a survey is necessary. Honestly and truly: These forums are a huge and very effective medium for communication.
These forums are a_huge_and very effective medium for hearing from the vocal 5% (estimated) of your player base who take the time to post here and sift through the piles of players sniveling for responses from Anet, not so much effective for hearing the opinions of the average Joe who never reads or posts here.
Surveys are difficult to devise in a way that makes them unbiased and statistically accurate.
In-game mail is a strong way to narrow down the opinions of all players because the majority of us read our game mail every day. I know multiple choice can be limiting but if done in a progressive manner it can give some good results.

Not sure if this has been covered yet so mentioning it
Proposal Overview
Group kicked when leader DC’s or leaves zone
Goal of Proposal
Stop the loss of hard earned progress in an ongoing dungeon due to the leader leaving or getting disconnected
Proposal Functionality
Change the code so that the next person in group assumes leadership if leader disconnects and do not allow other group members to be forced out of the zone if they leave.
Associated Risks
None forseeable
Please try to be as concise as feasible with your proposal.
From a player stand point it seems like this would be an easy fix. I am avoiding any form of pug nowdays because of how many times I have been kicked from a zone and lost a lot of work because the leader hits the wrong button or his mom pulls the plug.
~Dr. Seuss
If you have an organized guild group of 10+ you can destroy just about any green blob in EotM, it’s actually more fun to go out with the outnumbered buff and repeatedly steamroll over green zergs of uplevels that seem to have an endless resupply of players to fill the spots of the rage quitters.
P.S. There are no winners or losers in GW2 WvW, it’s more like the special olympics and everyone gets a prize
~Dr. Seuss
I think the only answer you’re going to get is RNGW2 has not been in your favor recently.
~Dr. Seuss
I think you’re going to see this on all cloth armor types because the economy would tank if bots were allowed to level a toon to 50ish at linen salvage levels and then park it for the sole purpose of opening chests farmed by other toons. The most common drop is usually the lowest value salvage in my experience as much as I hate to say it.

Any time the npc mixes the potion you are rooted in place and unable to move. Only fix is char select.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Quest-bugged-glitched/first#post4427610
I’m also noticing that the entire zone seems buggy and detriments aren’t showing up when a mob applies one on you. Even when I get hit by the risen grubs i turn green and reduce to combat run speed but there’s nothing to cure and no damage is taken.
~Dr. Seuss
(edited by Muusic.2967)
Exact same issue, have to hail the npc while standing close to the spider cage so when you get rooted by the bug you can still use the potion and then log out.

“Military tactics are like unto water; for water in its natural course runs away from high places and hastens downward. So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak. Water shapes its course according to the nature of the ground over which it flows; the soldier works out his victory in relation to the foe whom he is facing.
Therefore, just as water retains no constant shape, so in warfare there are no constant conditions…He who can modify his tactics in relation to his opponent, and thereby succeed inwinning, may be called a heaven-born captain."

The sad part is that almost every time you get a gold seller spam it’s coming from an account that’s been hacked and cleaned out already. I make it a point to report spammers as quickly as possible so that the account can be disabled and the owner is one step closer to restoration.

Ran Teq event tonight in highest graphics, it was the first time I haven’t crashed when I leave it in high setting. Thank you Anet for addressing this.
I also asked in voice chat an map chat and no one lost any party members due to DC the entire fight.

Invalid char motion same as many many others….. I don’t think it’s a problem on the players side but if it helps:

Hi Muusic,
Your processor may have a “turbo boost” feature on it that overclocks automatically when running system heavy applications (like Guild Wars 2). You may want to try disabling this feature to see if you’re still experiencing crashing as Guild Wars 2 is a bit sensitive to overclocking (not the case for everyone, but this has resolved the issue with these processors for many).
Thanks for the response. My processor does have the capability to turbo but i have had it disabled for some time because for my usage I don’t see any difference. This is the latest crash from this morning and it says something about an “invalid matrix” many times. The whole file wouldnt fit into the page so it’s attached as well.

I think anyone at Anet who has the ability to add an option to skip dialogues probably skipped right over this thread because in 7 days it’s less than 1 page.
Funny how they reserve the right to skip over the stuff that is boring to them though huh?
~Dr. Seuss
Thanks, the arenanet.log file doesn’t exsist on my machine but i’ll look next time i crash and copy/paste
~Dr. Seuss
I’m having an issue with 3 specific events. During the boss fights on Triple Trouble, Karka Queen and Teq i always crash to “send an error report” unless I set my graphics down to “best performance” I tried to access my error logs but following the instruction in the Sticky in this thread is confusing and unclear because it instructs you to delete the folder supposedly containing them before you even look for the error file.
I’m attaching my system info as reference in case there might be something in there that would indicate a problem and if anyone knows how exactly to view an error file and can explain in plain terms I can come back and attach it as well.
The problem only exists during very populated fights and due to the number of fellow players who are experiencing the same problem crashing I am thinking there is a known bug that hasn’t been resolved or admitted to.

After 3 pages of this thread with no response from Anet I’m feeling safe to assume there’s zero chance of being able to buy Mists stones for anything earned in WvW.
The Pve’ers had their own lengthy thread about having to do WvW for map completion and they never got any results either so i think we’re beating a dead horse on this.
~Dr. Seuss
because they go into the general inventory/bank i feel i either need to make this back piece now to free up the space, or chuck the parts out and never make it at all.
QFE
I want to do the LS on all of my level 80’s and possibly make the back pieces at some point, but the space it’s taking up in my inventory is getting to be obscene. Combined with the fact that I HATE fractals im just going to dump all the materials most likely because i’ll never have the mats to make it.
~Dr. Seuss
Same issue with getting the pet seed swapped.
~Dr. Seuss
Absolutely great job putting Pt.2 together! I’m always a critic of Anet and the bugs that are to be expected but this time you guys got it right!
~Dr. Seuss
It never hurts to report the bugs as you encounter them but your description of how bad it was to complete sounds like a picnic compared to the completely bugged events of the first 2 days. I agree the open world inclusion in the PS progression was a huge let down though because there was no level of immersion.
It was more like an EOTM zerg without the cliffs.
~Dr. Seuss
Im up to 340 chests opened and have now found 4 unids, My wife looted her last one today and now has all of the fossilized insect weapons (16) total and has opened less than 200 chests.
~Dr. Seuss
It’s the principal of it. It is obvious they want us to get dumped on our backsides like we did something wrong. The Airship pass doesn’t do this.
~Dr. Seuss
260 chests, 2 insects and those came back to back in the same zone. Wife has opened under 100 chests and has 7 now. It’s definitely RNG hating people and I agree it would have been nice if they were sellable on the TP.
Will be hilarious if the final chest for the PS has one in it.
~Dr. Seuss
Clicking your pass does not get rid of the apology window. And stop following me lol!
~Dr. Seuss
This has been bothering me for a while so I’m just going to start a thread hoping that others agree and chime in.
When I log out inside of the Royal Terrace I can expect the next time I log in to be Kicked out of the zone on my backside and forced to click a pop up window apologizing even though I have the pass in my inventory. I cannot interact with any NPC’s or do anything until I get rid of the apology window and to be honest it’s somewhat demoralizing to have to apologize when I haven’t done anything wrong.
THIS IS GETTING REALLY OLD
I have 5 characters with passes i swap between and having to run outside of the Royal Terrace every time just isn’t something i’m going to remember to do. I don’t mind the way the airship puts me in Gendarran Fields if I log out up there so why can’t the Royal Terrace be the same?
~Dr. Seuss
F12 and log back in, seems to be the only way to use this waypoint.
~Dr. Seuss
You gotta CC him at about 40% also or he’ll run to the zone entrance and despawn.
~Dr. Seuss
Anet is getting pretty good at breaking things, Mordremoth has some competition.
Well maybe we can hope it’s fixed next week! Must be a super complicated fix to move a vine 5m away
~Dr. Seuss
~Dr. Seuss
226 chests, no fossil. My wife has opened about 75 chests and has 5. RNG ftl as usual
~Dr. Seuss
Just camp to char select about 100 times you’ll eventually get into a map that working.
Anyone who expected anything other than bug issues with the LS hasn’t been playing this game for long lol, it’s the norm.
But hey the new BLTC item works great for porting into and out of a zone to find a new IP!

Hi Muusic,
To locate the crash logs, you’ll want to type this:
% temp % without the spaces between “temp” and the percent signs. Unfortunately the forums will simply show this as “temp” and remove the percent signs when included together.
Thank you. I’m not finding anything specific regarding module or ooc in these. Is there another way to find out why i’m getting DC’d or crashing (asks me to send a report)?
~Dr. Seuss
After dozens of disconnects in the middle of Karka, Teq and Tri Wurm I finally came here to try to find an answer as to why.
I’m running a machine that is beyond capable of handling GW2 at the highest resolution and all of my drivers are up to date but still during certain portions of mega events where the zone is hard capped there seems to be a mechanic that just kicks about 10 players randomly. Most notibly right after decapping the Amber wurm or when Teq spawns Tangling vines.
Please make sense of this for me so I can understand it as quoted from your stickied thread:
“To locate the crash log, please take the following the steps:
In Windows, press the “Start” button and locate the “Search programs and files” bar at the bottom of the start menu.
ok got it
Type in temp exactly as shown (with the percent signs).
What percent signs?
Press “Enter” and a new window should appear with the location of “C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp”
Locate the folder labeled "gw2cache-{RANDOM NUMBERS} and delete it.
I was able to locate this folder and delete it by just following the path
The most recent crash errors will be toward the bottom of the report. If there is a specific driver or application causing the crash, this sometimes will be displayed next to “Module” (if listed). "
I just deleted it at your instructions! Was I supposed to read it first?
I really would like to get down to the problem that is causing me and many other guild members to get kicked and subsequently lose the rewards from a mega event but your step-by-step instructions to read the logs are not understandable as currently written.
Please help!
~Dr. Seuss
Inculpatus i swear you follow me sometimes
The usual /sit etc doesnt work but ty Illconcieved for the logout tip!
~Dr. Seuss
Seriously, Please fix Prosperity waypoint. I’m down a ton of silver and time having to zone out of being stuck at this waypoint. It only happens when you access it from outside dry top and it’s every time now.
~Dr. Seuss
About half the time i use this WP i get stuck, i just avoid it if possible now.
~Dr. Seuss
The lack of support for a custom UI and additional hotkeys for macros, weapon swaps, consumables etc is my only big complaint about GW2. I’m sure it’s been hashed out a thousand times in other threads as to why we have to remain in the stone age with this basic UI but i am tossing my 2 cents in here. Hopefully in the future Anet will allow them to an extent.
@OP, amazing job with what you have done with your UI. Just the ability to single weapon swap or use an item during combat without opening bags would be game changing for a lot of us. (ie. 10 air strike grenades in EoTM that I never have time to right click and use).
~Dr. Seuss
And this one is quite the obvious in-your-face issue that may finally lead to their addressing the horrible issues
Edit: Still laughing 30 mins after seeing that!

I play with my wife in the same room and on 3 occasions today while running through Dry Top I fell and died and when the ranger “muddy terrain” animation triggered it completely hid my corpse on her screen. I could see it fine on my screen but none of the people around me could see me to revive.

Every game has their own version of these types of trolls in that their favorite activity in game is disrupting other players and causing unhappiness in general amongst the players around them. The psychology goes back to the “little brother” who would annoy an older sibling until they received a negative backlash because any attention is better than none.
Most MMO’s have turned a blind eye to this trolling because to address it would take an enormous amount of resources once the trolls turn their attention from their fellow players to the customer support staff. It comes down to “who wants to babysit”?
It’s just not in the best interest for any MMO to try to police an issue like trolling because it isn’t a game issue, it’s a human social issue thats not going to be fixed by banning a few players because there will be many to fill their shoes.
I would love nothing more than to see these little ******* get what they deserve but in the scheme of things it just isn’t going to happen.
~Dr. Seuss
He’s probably not getting replies because whoever stole his account changed the email associated with it. I’n my case I had to create a new email address to contact them with because the hackers had complete control.
On a side not he may see if they have the ability on his email to restore recently deleted emails. You’ll probably find a bunch of communications from Anet. If he had his original serial key in that email account he’s going to have a really hard time getting his account secure so I would double check that it wasnt one of the deleted messages.
~Dr. Seuss
I thought you Anet was trying to send me a message or something lol. I got it twice so I figured I must have ranked fairly low on their now “Player Skill Assessment” campaign.
