Holy Trinity Is Called "Holy" For A Reason

If you like the 5 man dungeon and the Trinity so much I would suggest you purchased the wrong game and please go back to doing what you enjoy so much at WoW. Here at GW2 we like to play with a dynamic open world. We like to be responsible for ourselves. We like the idea of helping others help themselves. We like big groups and a big zerg can be fun. We like a big event that calls to everyone in the map to help out. We hope there is always content like this. We even acknowledge that there is content too hard for us to accomplish and move on or try again and again.

We put up with the 5 mans because we know there are players mired in the past that cannot move on and like to play that way, but we ignore the dungeons and do not do them because the dungeons are boring. I ’m sure the dungeons and Fractals here are good for what they are and you can run the same content again and again all you want. But please remember that there lots of players who came to this game for the exact content you hate. That this is a unique game with unique ideals that took almost 7 years longer than expected to come online. I had plenty of time while waiting to play WoW and even Rift and by far GW2 out shines them both. Even with a paying a lot more for gems than my monthly to either of the others, I would not go back. Here we have a future and a group of large minded individuals who can work together and accomplish even big things. And I can play the game without anyone even suggesting that we need to kick someone or complaining we have the worst tank or healer in the world.

Yes, in this environment you need to work together and the zerg, which if I remember correctly was first formed in WoW, is going to play a part in taking down some bosses. But the Marionette was the best example of game play I have ever seen. It was fun, gave good rewards that stepped up each time you accomplished a goal, and was well worth going back again and again and again. Now, I realize not every part of the game is going to be as good as the Marionette but it’s something to strive for.

1. More dynamic open world content!

2. No more 5 man instance dungeons.

3. Level 80 quests. Lots and lots of them.

I don’t mind a reward like this as the one we got was kind of a disappointment. It should probably be based on doing most of the chapters. If you completed 90% you get reward A, 75% reward B, 65% reward C and the rest down to one chapter reward D. Then everyone could complain. But as it’s better than nothing who cares. Just some Dragonite Ore would be nice.

I don’t think these will make or break you doing the events but they might make it a bit easier. However, I too wondered why they did not work on my lower level toon I took in to do dailies for the points. I get that when your leveled up for an event you cannot expect to wear level 80 armor or use weapons or even potions but this was a special potion for this event and maybe should have been no level restrictions.

Time vs Reward vs Fun

Myst Dawnbringer.9138

OK, this is complicated and I hope I am capable of saying what I mean without making everyone crazy. First this is a very fun game most of the time. But as with anything it can get boring, working on my 11th toon now. Which is why the Living Story is so important. It gives new content and Achieves that can relieve boredom and adding to the Fun factor. The Achieves I look on like quests which I wish there were more of at the Level 80 tier. I know you want us to do dungeons and fractals but not my cup of tea and it is just not going to happen. I’m sick of the whole 5 man instance idea which is why I left WoW and came to a dynamic world. I like the new dynamic open world battles with the come one come all attitude.

So, a lot of the new content is getting very time consuming as Tequatl, Wurm and Scarlet Holo Battle. Each of these takes time planning and team work to win and is worth doing at least once for the most part. I got too bored with the Wurm and haven’t been back yet. Now these are all or nothing battles you got to win to get the loot which is fine. But the reward when you do win is not any better than what you might get in a much easier and less time consuming battle with a higher percentage of Winning. So to my mind, what’s the point. These battles need to have rewards worth going for and so far that’s not happening.

I enjoyed the Marionette much more. You could go and get rewarded on your level of accomplishment depending on how many chains you took out. So I guess I enjoyed opening a lot of little chests with a chance of a good item as apposed to one big chest with almost nothing in it. Greedy, I know but what’s play with out loot. I did Teq about a dozen times and the Holo Battle about the same. Teq I won at least once then never went back. Takes too long, you don’t have a reliable timer to know when it starts and if you loose it’s a waste of time. The Holo battle is almost the same but as a battle it’s a lot more fun than Teq. My big problem with it is the colored light gismos idea and the trend lately to incorporate this type of play into the mix. Once it’s OK as a diet, boring. I like the Knight battle and don’t mind that at all, especially once I figured out how to dodge the orange stuff on the floor. Working out the timing of that was confusing for a bit. I’m not good at that stuff and can’t dodge the waves in Teq to save my life or any other players. But the Knight’s and the Holo battle are fun and the Knights have an OK reward at least since they fixed it. I actually think you should get al leveled reward here depending on how many of them you take out too.

And what do I want as Rewards? Well, Ascended items, hard to find crafting items, Dragonite Ore, Unfortunately every time you add a new level of stuff you make everything under it worthless. And, let me just say if your considering making my Ascended stuff useless by adding more levels, it’s going to Frost me mightily.

So I guess what I’m trying to say is the game needs to take my time into consideration when giving out rewards. If I’m spending a lot of time on something I need the reward to bet worth spending the time on it and I want to have fun doing it. Once I realize how long something takes, you lost and the devs failed epically . You have to keep me so happy I don’t realize how long I’m spending playing this darn game.

[Event] Frustrations with Knight fights.

Myst Dawnbringer.9138

Well, I’ve done it a couple of times with 50 on each knight. It’s not impossible. People need to learn once the Knight counter gets to 0 they need to move to another Knight. And they need to check their tool bar to see if they get a colored x buff above their skills when they run through the colored circle on the ground and if the got it they are good to go for that Knight. Anet has made it confusing I must say. Anet would make this a bit easier if the opened up the Way Points. Your at the blue Knight and its full it’s a long run to the Red one.

The only good thing about the rewards is the chest does give some Dragonite Ore and maybe a shard.

So how do we all rate the end of LS season 1

in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath

Posted by: Myst Dawnbringer.9138

Myst Dawnbringer.9138

With most things I can see some good and some bad. I personally enjoy the LS pretty much. I turn up each time it opens and look at the achieves and start trying to get as many as possible. But I’m pretty goal orientated and they give me a goal to get a prize if I finish the achieves, so there I go. Also, I miss doing quests so the achieves are like quests for me.

There are parts of the LS that I did not like. For instance the 5 man dungeons which I hate and avoid like the plaque. But I also realize there are many players who live for them. So in a live and let live life stile I just ignore the dungeons and the players stuck in them. As long as I am not forced into them it’s fine with me.

Most of this content is short 2-4 week content and all though well done and fun to explore it is not expected to hold your attention for any longer than a few weeks.. You go, you enjoy something new, you have a good time and then wait for the next installment.

It’s hard for players to not over expect this content. It’s hard for players to not want more. It’s hard for players to not want the next big thing in every new episode. Stuff has gone wrong and things have been miscalculated on both sides. Not everyone is going to like all of the content all of the time. Not everyone is going to hate all of the content all of the time. The devs have a hard road to navigate. And a lot of people to make happy, all of which have a different idea of what the game should be.

Yes, there are quite a few bugs. But they don’t bother me as much as others. I see it as short term content that probably will take a day or 2 to work out. I expect some bugs. A lot of problems happen when the bugs are resolved but not to your liking.

The Knights were a problem. They were designed to do one way and the player base found a different way. Which is always a problem with player bases, we are always working on a better, easier, or more lootful way. The first day, the first time I did it very early in the day we split into 3 groups and finished the knights and went into the ship and waited for the event to start. We won and I was down by the scarlet door and got the notice for the instance and went, never even saw a chest to loot. Missed out big there. But was pretty stoked we won. I suspect the devs thought it was too easy and made it a bit harder after that. Then the zergs started and I enjoyed that too. But doing it that way put you into the holo battle too late to win because the holo battle timer starts when the first knight dies. My biggest problem with a lot of this new content is the gimics to the fights. The Barrels, hearts, bones and lights over your head. I get that You want to make it challenging for us but I got my skills and really just want to use them most of the time. Once in a while a gimic is Ok but I don’t want a lifestyle of it. The colored circles on the floor are hard to see especially if they are under the die if you go here zones.

One issue I’ve had with the new content is how often players are downed or killed. I don’t think they are all bad players. I do think that we are given pretty hard challenges and sometime think we are ill equipped for them. We were just given new armor and it has had little effect on game play. Actually I think it’s easier to get downed or die with the new armor and new content than it was with the old armor and old content. I don’t like dying or getting downed and I especially don’t like getting one shot and downed by a boss. Especially when I have no chance of doing it to him. So we’ve been taught to work in numbers to attack a big target with many to do with many what one could not do. But, hence the Zerg. Love or hate it you need a lot of players working somewhat together to do a lot of these things. I’d rather have to deal with a zerg than a lot of 5 man trinity dungeons. I love the open world dynamic content.

So, do I think the LS is an epic fail. No way. Do I think there is room to improve, sure. I’m looking forward to it. Basically, I terms we can all understand I would give the whole thing a B+. Way better than average but with room to improve. Thanks for all the good times and I hope to have a few more.

Myst Dawnbringer.9138

Yeah, I’m not too fond of these new wacked gizmo style of play with hearts and barrels and triangles. But as close as I can figure you got to run through the 3 colored circles to turn white and that gets you through the portal to the holo battle when you kill the 3 knights. If you kill all 3 each knight area should get a colored circle to run through.

Then you get to the holo battle and you can only do damage to the holos while you are white. You need to keep running through the3 circles to turn white again and again.

I have a hard time finding the rings on the floor as they are hard to see and sometimes are under the go here you die areas. What I do is run through the red, green and blue rings when I can and turn white then I attack only. Then when it wears off I look for the colored lights and res players as needed until I can get to the 3 rings again.

Its a hard battle and very confusing and was really badly planned. Then if you win be sure and look for a chest in that area because like a dummy I just went into the next area and missed out. But you do get something for finishing the next area too.

Myst Dawnbringer.9138

The first time I did it on the first day we split into 3 groups and did it. We got to the ship and finished the holo and killed scarlet. I missed the chest because I did not see it before I went into Scarlet.

I read there is a timer that starts for the holo battle when the first Knight goes down. So like the Wurm you need to try and take them down together. If you do you get to the holo battle with space to spare. If you are late you can come in in the middle of the holo battle. The zerg system starts the holo battle too soon, takes away your time to finish it and win.

I don’t understand how this 50 man thing works. If you got too many players how do you know who has the buff. I usually manage to hit the knight and try and keep track of my damage to her. If I stop doing damage I run through the colored circle again. It seems to work but who knows.

There needs to be a Clear Idea of who is in the battle and who is not before it starts. And I’m not sure how many players are allowed in one overflow at a time. Lets say the overflow only holds 150 players that’s 50 for each Knight, but how do you know if your on the knight or not because as I said I run in and out of the circles and get the buff and do damage. The last time we finished I stayed where I fought because I was told if you didn’t you would not get credit or loot for the battle.

Perhaps when you enter the knight area before the battle you should get a screen notice that you are the 36th player for the blue knight battle and when you get past 50 you get a message the battle is full and that red need 16 players and green need 12.

But what if there are more than 150 players in the zone who’s gonna tell the 151st player they been working here but now they can’t play.

This was not thought out. This was badly planned. Anet should know that if the players can find a way to make it easier they will. I did enjoy the zerg of all 3. I also enjoyed doing it with 3 groups. Too bad there can’t be a way to make everyone happy!

Yes this was hardly worth the time. The only thing I’m interested in getting is the Dragonite Ore and Ascended stuff. The rest is just more stuff. There should have been something special we finished the whole thing and got a slap in the face. But you got players posting that they are getting too much loot so what are you going to do. I won on one of the first take downs of the holo and went into the Scarlet finish and never even saw the chest so I got bupkiss for that.

I guess I’m hoping that there will be a nice reward on the 18th when they do the finish but I’m no going to hold my breath.

Myst Dawnbringer.9138

1 the achieves that encourage people not to play are badly thought out and are bad.

2 Anet has a history of being a bit secretive about how things work. I guess they want you to figure it out.

3 Bugs are bugs, it sucks but what are you going to do pay a monthly.

4. Loot has always been skimpy in this game but there is a big post saying there was too much loot form the knights. Nuts! Who you going to listen to. The only loot I’m interested in is Ascended or Dragonite ore. The rest is just a means to get the Ascended for my toons.

5. Actually if you fight the fight 3 at a time and kill them at the same time there is a period of grace before the holo fight but the holo fight starts X many minutes after the first knight falls. If your getting there in the middle of the fight you took too long to kill all the knights and came late to the party.

6.What main server. I don’t know when I was there last. And it doesn’t seem to matter I’ve won it at least twice now both on overflow they all are fine. You just gotta work together a bit.

However all that said I don’t find this as enjoyable as the Escape section. It was more fun. Had better rewards and less fighting amongst players about how they play.

I’ve got 3 of those cores and as far as I can see they are only cosmetic so who really cares. I don’t like the thing any way, I think it’s ugly so I just turn it off and don’t really care what color it is. It interferes with you hair and weapon on you back.

The point being that there is more than one way to skin a cat. Both leave a naked cat. But I see you built a battle with a time approach to the holo battle after, and the problem is that 1×1 style starts the timer too soon for the holo battle because it starts after the first knight is dead and in the 1×1 style you could not have enough time to do the holo fight. Which is why we were failing the holo fight.

One thing I don’t understand however is How o you get attuned before all 3 knights are down. I thought you could only do that after they all were down. I know tonight I stayed at the blue knight and never got the red attunement just blue and green. Eventually I got a chest for it with a core and some stuff. Very skimpy stuff. Also that battle finished my LS Achievement and talk about a skimpy reward. The only rewards I’m looking for now are ascended ones or dragonite ore. I had my level 60 in so that might be why she go no ore but that’s a pretty slimy excuse.

Gimics and Gizmos in Battles

in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath

Myst Dawnbringer.9138

First, I don’t like this new trend if fighting. Running around with barrels and colored lights and crap on your head. You got fifty people running around with red, blue and green lights on their heads, but now you have to stop fighting to see if yours has run out yet.

Because It’s hard to see. These are big battles with a lot of stuff happening and now we’re trying to keep track of colored lights. I feel like Blanche DuBois, come on Stanley get those colored lights going. I especially hated it in the Wurm battle and haven’t been back since I did the easy achievements. I don’t care if I even bother to try and win it as it’s too boring to spend my time on.

It’s not as bad in the Scarlet drill battle as the Wurm but it runs a close second. But once again the puppy rings on the floor are puppy hard to see. Blue, red and green rings that fall under blue, pink and white choppy wavy lines, yep, hard to see. Maybe you never heard of eye strain.

I get that you want to mix things up. But don’t like this method. I get you want to give us a buff which is nice, but give us the buff and have it last for the battle or at least make it easy to see. For crying out loud people spend way too much time running around getting killed trying to get the buff so they can hit the target. I’ve been using my un buffed time to res players and my buffed time to hit the holo. Which works pretty well. If you don’t get killed trying to get buffed.

The first few times I did this you had to be white to hit the holo and have it actually hurt the holo. I’m not sure if that changed in this last build because I thought you might be hurting the holo with only one color but it was hard to tell. Yep, hard to see once again.

I’ve been taking my ranger in and once again the pet was pretty useless all they do is die, so I was wondering why we even have them?

So please rethink the gimics and let’s get back to using out skills and fighting.

Well, I think zerging is fine. No one is forcing you to do it. I try to do some of everything in Escape from LA. I like to do the big battles to get loot then if I see any people that need saving I save them. Then if there are ogres or children that need saving kill some of the bad guys and get some more credits. I pop around on the map to see what’s happening. I do think for the people who only like to do the saving they should get a bag when their person gets out. So maybe at the end if you saved 30 people you would get 30 extra bags. Then everyone has a reason to do everything. It’s kind of the same problem you used to have with healers who never got any loot for healing.

I just wanted to say if more dungeons were like this I would actually be interested in doing them. I just hate the whole rigid outdated 5 man clusterpuppy trinity dungeon idea. I realize I’m a minority here but this new dungeon was wonderful. There was lots to do and lots of players to do it and worth doing more than a few times. Even more than a few times a day.

You put dungeons in the game like this a lot more people will do them. Or at least a lot of the anti dungeon players with be attracted to them.

It would be nice if we could choose where on out back we put the Back Item. I would suggest 3 places. Full size at center back as we have it now. Then add an option to wear it smaller on either shoulder like the roses. Light of Dwayna and others would be good for this option. This way we could place the item around our hair and weapons. Someone who uses a bow might opt to wear a smaller version on their shoulder so it would not graphically comingle with their weapons or hair.

I like the dynamic quality and wish they would stick with it. The Puppet is my favorite lately they can take the Wurm it’s to dumb to bother. I’ve got no problem with hard content. But, I want good content. And the wurm just isn’t good content. On the other hand the Puppet is extremely Good content.

I tired of listening to players whine about bad players. I love the open world content of which the Puppet is a wonderful example of players working together to do something using what’s available. Learning to achieve bigger goals. The wurm is just a gizmo fest of boringly difficult goals that have very little to do with fighting or using you skills. The wurm is a challenge to do once and forget kind of like Tequatl. The Puppet is fun and could generate interest for some time. Unfortunately, we’re going to keep the Wurm.

Perhaps you should take the Wurm and put it in an instance and then those of us who like to pretend dungeon instances don’t exist can happily go about having fun wiping the Puppet. So keep the Puppet and loose the Wurm.

in The Origins of Madness

Posted by: Myst Dawnbringer.9138

Myst Dawnbringer.9138

Having played both events multiple times, I have to say that the Puppet is by far the better more entertaining and challenging content. Why, you say?

1. The puppet is a rip-roaring fight followed by a skilled and extremely hard inner core boss fight in a 5 ring circus that every ring has to win with the random players the ring was dealt. Too bad there isn’t a transport system to take you to loosing rings when you win yours.

The Wurm is an easy guard quest followed by a gizmo fest of barrels and jumping, running around with gas hearts over your head and getting eaten by a wurm to kill it inside out. While I applaud some of the originality I still find it kind of dumb. I enjoy the fight not the gizmo fest. And here you die by the gizmos if you can’t or won’t run around with a barrel on your head you fail.

2. The puppet is cool and looks great. I cannot think of anything like it anywhere else. It falls into Scarlet’s Storyline and makes sense.

The Wurm tries to work into the story line but does so very badly. It’s a Wurm they are all over the place. Nothing new here.

3. The Wurm is for exceptional players. It’s trying to be hard. It’s a timed event that takes extreme vocal co-operation between players. The vocal is not supported you GW2 by the way you have to go else where to support it. If you need it to do the game it should be part of the game. It’s hard for a reason to weed out the bad players. Well the bad players got every right to sample the game as the good ones. It’s boring and not worth the effort. I can’t say as I’m motivated to go back and sit through it again. I might try and do it to win it once but like the new Tequatl that would be my one and only time.

The Puppet takes a modicum of player co-ordination. You have to distribute players evenly in both but the Puppet always wins on the Fun scale. Inside you have to figure out he boss and how to dispatch him. And he’s not easy. If you didn’t have enough players in your lane you might end up trying to down the boss with only 1 or 2 players in your ring. And that’s a Fail. But you got other lanes and if your can kill all 5 before the cannon goes off, You Win.

4. Rewards vs time. The Puppet gives you a field of play with many Champs that drop key parts that can assembled into cyphers to open chests. So you can do the Puppet and you get drops and then a bonus for every chain that gets cut. It all adds up to opening a lot of chests and Fun.

The Wurm takes just as much time. Is very hard and takes co-ordination and If you loose you get 73 copper and some EX.

5. Somehow the Overflows are not working. I did the Puppet on overflow about 10 times and came close to winning but not quite. I cannot answer why this is true but it seems to have some modicum of truth in it. I didn’t win until I did it in my home instance about 3 times. And to get there I had to stay there for 8 hours.

6. Why did I even give the Wurm 5 points? For the tribute to Dune. Wurms and thumpers calling them. Perhaps one of the gizmos should have been to put baby wurms on our armor as a buff.

Why does the Puppet get 95 points? Fun, a good swashbuckling fight, originality, and all round good time. Well, worth spending a day in the snow in order to try her 4 or 5 times. The Puppet might have gotten the whole 100 points but the load in times between the 2 parts of the fight are slow and can cause players to wipe on load in.

So for my money I say Keep the Puppet and Loose the Wurm.

I don’t mind the hard content. I actually really enjoy the Puppet fight. I don’t like the Wurm at all. Tequatl I did several times then got bored with never winning and logged into Blackgate and won and haven’t been back. Which is the problem with a lot of the so called hard content, no one is doing it. Tequatl is pretty empty every time I’ve been there. The dungeons are empty. You can holler all you want about wanting hard content but no one is doing it so it’s a waste of money to create.

1. The Puppet is actually a fight and you can use your skills and hone them for it. The Puppet is quite fun. The Wurm is not a battle but a gizmo fest of barrels, jumping, running around with gas hearts and getting eaten by the Wurm to attack it from the inside out. It’s pretty boring at the same time it takes incredible communication between players that GW’s is not willing to support. You should not have to look outside the game for TeamSpeak or Vent. If these are that necessary to the game it should be part of the game. Timing 3 different groups to kill something in 3 different places at the same time takes incredible teamwork from people who are not used to working together. It’s a lot to ask of even a seasoned player.

2. The Puppet is fun and has graduated rewards. The more strings you cut the better the rewards. The codes fall quite a bit and you can get the cyphers and open chests. The loot could stay around a bit longer after the battle. I’ve gone back a few times only to see a drop disappear just as I get near it. The Wurm if you loose you get some ex and 73 copper. And one huge repair bill from the armor smith.

3. Rumor has it the Puppet will disappear after next week. That’s quite a shame. Better to keep the Puppet and loose the Wurm. The Puppet has some staying power and might be a nice event like SB and Claw and old Teq. The Wurm will keep people happy until the do it once or get bored. Then it will be empty.

4. I really like the open world content. The Puppet is an excellent example of good open world content and I would like to see more of this type of play. The
Wurm not so much.

They do take up a bit of room in storage but once I get a few I enjoy opening the chests and then the go away way too fast.

Add a transporter that appears after the platform is dead. You click on it and you transport to a ring that is still fighting.

I like to Puppet and hate the wurm. I like the feel of the Puppet battle, I get to use my skills that I’ve used from the beginning and learned. I don’t mind a new gismo like building barricades but the gismos seem to be the whole point of the wurm. I’ve done the puppet 7 or 8 times and the wurm 4. The puppet battle outsides seem a good pace and has lots of champs you run back and forth killing as much as possible. It’s not easy but doable. The inside battles are good if your not almost dead or dying when you load in.

You should add transporters that appear after the boss is down and the energy thing in your ring is dead so you could transport to other rings to help them. Transporter appears-you click- prompts you what ring would you like to go to- you pick a number between 1 and 5. TA DA! You help !

The Wurm, I get it’s trying to be hard but so is the Puppet. I think. But the Wurm just doesn’t do it for me. I’ve never seen a group have less progress in the time allowed. And every part is some crazy gismo effect to do that has nothing to do with your skills. It’s too much like Tequatl and I suspect that eventually it will be empty too. I’ll keep doing it for a few more times but eventually if I can do it once like Tequatl I’dd be happy. So far every time I did the Wurm I got a big 73 copper. No drops unless you happen to hit a deer. And when it’s over your armor costs more than 73 copper to repair.

But the Puppet gives you a lot better bang for your buck. You get lots of drops and the cyphers add up pretty fast. And the bags you can pick what you want to even out keys are extremely helpful. I hope this Puppet event stays with us and doesn’t leave after the story moves on. The Wurm can go take a nap with Tequatl.

The Marionette is Well Designed: Here's Why

I too like this event. I like it a lot more than the worm one. The worm one seems silly and for the life of me why do we have skills if we just have to run around with silly colored hearts over heads and fill gas cannons. And the reward for loosing is 73 copper and my armor costs more to repair.

But the Puppet is more straight forward and a better battle. The best I have done was 4 chains but I find it easy to want to return and try again. I have a good opportunity to obtain cyphers and can keep them to open chests and that’s always fun. The worm one not so much where nothing drops much.

I wish in these big battles there wasn’t such a big sense that you are probably leaving a lot of loot on the ground because your moving too fast to find it. Also, I wish the load in to the inner rings was better. I am a bit of a slow loader and find I’m almost dead before I get there.

I like that you can count on the battle starting at the hour every 2 hours and can schedule your play time around it. It would be nice if some of the other events were better timed.

People have been pretty good about spreading out to do each of the 5 lanes.

I find it a better battle than Tequatl and think if it stays around a while I would do it like I used to do Teq and still do SB and Claw and some of the others.

Nothing in the game should be bound to only one place. Everything should be available to everyone no matter how you like to play. Items can be achieved in a separate but equally hard manner that could make everyone happy. The whole 5 man instance dungeon is so old school and boring as you will note by the fact they are pretty empty. This is a dynamic game and should stay that way. I hate that the creative staff needs to validate instance dungeons by putting thing in them everyone needs just to get people to do them.

Your top 5 design mistakes in GW2?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Myst Dawnbringer.9138

1. Dungeons and Fractals. These are old school and boring. In a truly dynamic world what do we need instance dungeons for?

2. Ascended armor and weapons that really are not that much better than exotic. None of it really does much good in the big battles you still get slapped around by the bosses as if you were naked. Ascended stuff should have been as big a jump from exotic to ascended as rare to exotic.

3. Hair, back items and swords and clothing that do not interact properly. Your hair and backpack have a tendency to intermingle causing bad graphic overlay and distortion even on very highest resolutions. Great swords have a nagging ability to slice your bottom off every time you take a step. Better 3 d layering is needed. Objects trying to vie for the same space causes distortion.

4. Too many currencies and no currency exchange system.

5. Not enough quests. Not enough epic quests. Not enough quest that take you all over the world. The living world should add at least one big quest with every expansion. With a reward worth having.

How many Chars will you gear w/ ascended?

I’ve not decided yet. I have 9 level 80’s and a level 40. But the armor is just a tad better than exotic, and not really worth it. I would be interested to know if there are any plans to add areas and levels in the future. Because outfitting all these toons would be very expensive and then if they added levels to do it again boring. But where are they going to go with the game. If they add new areas is it all going to be level 80 content or will they finally go to level 100.

I have a few questions about this item. I got one and it did expand my collecting ability in my main storage but not my sack storage. It did not seem to add to my stacking ability in my bag storage.

1. When you add new items like this could you please be clear on what it really does.

2. Why would I need more than 1 because since it only seems to work in account storage (the section with the minis) but seems to work with all my characters. I guess after you buy three the price might be more if you want a fourth one. I guess they were planning on people buying lots of them as gifts.
