Well, to be honest that is not really reliable. I checked myself and it says my highest rank is 97, while I have a screenshot of me being rank 80. Maybe it doesn’t calculte low data?

I think it just checks gw2s ranks from the gw2 site every so often.

Terrors already been nerfed due to dhuumfire being op, I highly doubt they will nerf it further especially since they nerfed our bleeds and nerfed dhuumfire a little. Our condi builds don’t need a nerf if anything I want more access to torment.

Would also like a change to ds auto and wells.

The trait isn’t really helpful with escaping….. It helps after you’ve won.

WoP is a fantastic skill. It is suboptimal in the pve zerker let’s all stack in a corner nonsense. It is very useful in pvp though.

Using your argument none of the traits are in fact useless since they all do “something” I really don’t understand why you seem to be hell bent on defending a trait that is seriously just kittening bad, other than just to argue for the sake of arguing.

If you want vigor we can actually get a ton with WoP on bleeds.

I don’t just follow the crowd, I have posted a few builds that I use that are not just the standard. I really haven’t found one as far as condi goes though. Power has more options condi really only has 2 or 3.

Since we don’t really physically hit anything besides dagger auto it wouldn’t be inconceivable a mace could be a 600 range aoe bashing weapon

Depends on if your comfortable with your condi clear without the dagger 4. If you are then warhorn would be the way to go I think depending on the build.

You are the only one who has been saying pve most of us were talking about traits as a whole. But I’m glad you like the trait that fits into your niche build that is suboptimal for pve rock on.

You might be talking a out pve when you talk. This thread is not in the necromancer pve discussion it’s just in the necromancer discussion and there are other game modes. I know since anet doesn’t force you to play those game modes you can easily forget that plenty of people play them. So when the vast majority of necromancers look at traits we look at them from multiple perspectives. The problem we are facing here is Your defending a trait because it fits in to a tiny niche in a build that you admit isn’t as effective as others because it’s fun. I’m glad you like to have fun with your build. I like to do dungeons without traits and in green armor because that’s fun.

But I guess you are right about trash mobs having extremely dangerous conditions, and are also right that wvw zerging is just so faceroll. It’s nothing compared to standing in a corner and dpsing. I mean it’s not like you need to watch out for the hammer train and the peripheral gank squad all while attacking targets and staying with your driver or blasting waters or any of those other extremely easy wvw zerg things.

I’m not saying I want the holy trinity, but it would be nice to able to effectively play something other than dps. Devs are too afraid to give us some group support.

No offense to anyone but it’s possible to be competitive and not have emotional damage from losing at a game. Your allowed to be disappointed but if your being emotionally damaged take a step back.

I know alot of people know this but I thought I should mention if your doing pvp on sky hammer you can use spectral walk to occasionally come back from being knocked off.

From a spvp standpoint it would be pretty amazing on a ds spectral soldiers build with might stacking and strength runes if you made the threshold like 50.

I just think it’s a mistake to ever put points in a lone for stats > traits.

The death shiver just isn’t worth it, it works better in a draw out fight small scale not in the wvw, or gvg style fights. That build actually looks fine, I run something similiar but go with a strange mix if armor, knights zerker soldiers valk. I don’t use the chill well or the chill on blind traits. I also play it on the frontline as well. Necros are perfectly capable of being frontline dps if they stay with the guards and are with a good group of players. Also I run melandru and lemongrass instead of strength, I do keep a strength set with me as well though.

I kill that healing turret as fast as I can. Thumper and rocket can be problems but thumper has too much hp and rocket is usually in a decent spot if the engi isn’t just afking. If your condI just don’t do it unless your on a class that can properly pressure from range

Agreed, but there are options. You can use wurm or swalk. Personally I tend to use wurm more on a terror build and swalk more on a power build. Ganking is our best skill as a necro

You are not the bunker, and I think you’ve figured this out. Your team should not expect you to be the bunker. Your sole purpose in tpvp is to gank and make kills faster or to take down the other teams bunker

Zombify said something about a power build that uses the leeching traits and wells I tried one with zerker and strength runes and air fire sigils, pretty fun in hotjoins can work in tpvp I think, but I’ve lost a lot of games when using it

You say the ele is squishy so that’s why you can’t compare our dps and we shouldn’t be allowed to get to that level but are you ignoring that eles can recover from being almost dead to full health extremely fast. They don’t need the high health pool if they can do that.

Yes, you get your duration and damage with all transfers and corrupts.

Pve so hard, it’s so hard figuring out what corner to all stand in and spam a rotation.

Your not going to do enough damage with rhabid either, if you were dead set on using something like that build I would use carrion.

I’m sorry but that build is doodoo. It’s an attempt at a support necro which we suck at. Your using a condition amulet with a power weapon and a utility weapon, I suppose the transfers help with that. Your using healing power which is an awful investment for necros.

I don’t know how to fix that build.

Corrupt boon can’t be cast while stunned but according to the tool tip there is no cast time. If he had asked what skills are insta cast that can still be used while stunned I suppose my answer would be wrong.

I liked the idea to make lifeblast like mesmer gs autoattacks it’s instant like mesmers auto too right? Lol

Which is why those celestial eles and warriors with strength runes were such an issue before the strength and pirate rune nerf. Well they are still sort of an issue but whatever.

Might isn’t common to be removed. If your fighting those eles and warriors might is almost always one of the last boons you can get corrupted with anything other than corrupt boon. I’m sure it’s like that with some other classes too but I notice it more against those.

I would so enjoy cleaving daggers in wvw, have to change the lf regen a bit

I think if you try to play the sustain game against him on a necro on a power build or a condi build your going to have a bad time. Burst em down quick either way condi or zerk.

He’s not really trying to compare them to prove a point or anything he mains a mesmer I’m sure he’s well aware what’s going on with mesmers I believe he is looking for a necro mm pov

And that’s why playing a necro makes me sad. Even if I was good enough to carry I have to work 3 times as hard to do it.

You can do that trick with all of the minions. I do it before every pvp match

I’m not saying I agree with the the limiting of our lf. I do however know that if I start a fight with full lifeforce against almost any class I’m probably going to win that fight.

Same way you plague stomp or shroud stomp. Just practice the timing of it but you almost want to press them both at the same time.

Pretty sure in duels having 33% lifeforce or somewhere around there is the acceptable number. It’s enough to allow you to use the skills but not so much your a tank.

With that said yeah I’ve had lots of people take kitten when they kill me without any lf and then get so kittening mad when I duel them with lf.

I actually have really good luck with my zerker well necro against the bunker engis. It really helps to have some lf to start. Start out trying to hit him with an auto with your staff see if you can get him to waste a dodge on that. Drop marks 2 and 3 swap go into ds and try hitting him with a lifeblast then dark path. Once youve teleportation to him drop ds and swap to dagger auto him for a second with the dagger and he will probably waste a dodge again. Immobilize him with the dagger and drop a well suffering if he has no boons up and corruption if hes loaded with boons swap back into ds if you havery deathly perception on and use ds 5 then lifeblast until your lf is almost gone and hit ds4. If you want before switching to ds you can try swapping back to staff for a little extra dps. If your not using deathly perception don’t go into ds after dropping the well keep auto attacking. Also if you can time the ds 5 immobilize instead of hitting ds4 keep life blasting and right before the immobilize hits drop ds and drop your other well and dagger auto again. I like having spectral walk for the zerker well build as it can almost act as two stunbreaks in one.
