Well look at the classes celestial truly shines ele, engi, warrior. Boon heavy classes, the eXtra boons make up for what celestial lacks in precision, damage, etc. Also healing power works well for those classes and it’s shyt on us. Your not really doing much condi damage aa compare to those classes. I’m pretty sure it’s well documented that celestial works best on boon heavy classes.

As for the swalk and energy sigils. Those extra dodges are so worth it. Drop those strength sigils for energy and you’ll notice how much better the build is, some of your other teammates can make up for the might you lost. With swalk and warhorn your swiftness uptime is unreal, as well as your juking. You will feel very very mobile, I even have a version that uses ogre runes zerker ammy and wurm instead of bip that’s pretty fun to play on certain maps also swaps out sigils of battle for fire, air, or generosity.

Similiar to mine, I just don’t think the anything other than pure power amulets are worth it for a spectral necro, your build has alot of might which is cool but without energy sigils and sw it’s tough to disengage and I’m not even sure how much less squishy celestial is compared to zerkers since we aren’t a real boon heavy class.

I’ve been trying for weeks to make a celestial necro and you would not believe what build I found to be the best celestial build. It’s a strange signet necro with terror. But it still kind of sucks.

I was using vital persistence on my zerker power necro the one you asked about a few days ago, until I eventually found it was only worth it in a 1v1 fight but then again it wasn’t because I spend so much time in ds I occasionally don’t use bip when it’s off cooldown . In 2v2+ you are getting focused enough that the slower ds regen isnt worth it. Alot of people here seem to be on the side of unyielding but I always have trouble with that stupid trait, I never see it hitting two people let alone more than that and I am trying to position myself so it works, the argument I can see for this is cleaving downed players but with the new dagger cleave and with staff auto already cleaving when I see a downed player generally I drop marks 2 3 and 5 depending on if anyone’s trying to res pop wh5 and go to town with daggers. So my vote is soul marks. Keeping constant life force regen on a zerker power necro seems more important to me than anything else. You won’t need near to death or any of that since you are never going to be manually exiting ds unless the fight is over so making sure both weapon sets have reliable lf regen is what I have found most important.

They are worried about rank.

As far as the balance thing goes, I’m sorry but you have to balance at the highest levels to avoid breaking the game.

The plague works the same way the old ds stomp worked… you need to kind of hit them both at once. You can’t just stomp and hit plague midway through.

It’s probably because he’s getting reflected and doesn’t notice it also rangers probably pew pewing him. Before all the rangers I also had an easier time on the lich, but if you are in a game against a couple rangers they just focus the kitten out of the power necro since we can’t do kitten to them.

Yeah. It is very obvious considering anyone who has played pvp for more than 5 minutes can figure out how easy clones die. Here’s your sign.

People keep talking about their burst not being as good but I’m still hitting hard as hell, are you all not using zerk amulet? I figured the non zerker amulets using lich would take a little hit but I figured zerk would be fine.

We can cast spells when we are stomping, some of them but ds is a transformation I don’t think it’s a bug, honestly it would be slightly op if we could go in and out of ds while stomping.

Again I’m almost 100% sure that it is working as intended.

Someone in the pvp forums did some dps testing with assasins and trying to figure out what the highest dps he could get I think assassin’s with ogre runes was at the top

The warhorn stuff is a buff in every game mode as long as your not using it at stupid times

Yeah generosity would be cool I really just mean the leeching sigils, not the health steal on swap, are kind of not optimal for a build that spends a lot of time in ds.

The only thing I would recommend is (don’t kill me for this) is using reapers precision.

It’s a spectral build first as well as a ds build he has plenty of lf regen from the duration increases effectiveness increase and cooldown decrease of the spectrals skills, he takes persistence to stay on ds longer. This build seems pretty optimized for what it’s supposed to do I wouldn’t recommend changing anything other than possible using reapers precision and your sigil choice isn’t what I would go with.

As far as thieves go do you really think it was fair you could steal and attack at the same time that also led into an unblock able attack that stole boons and then just disengage instantly… where the kitten is the counterplay to that.

If you start mist form without the stomp you can’t just stomp while in mist. Armor of earth I’d a utility skill that gives stability. Guards are kittening guards bro. Theives do have stealth not sure where you are going with that one…. did you want stealth?

Yes it would be overpowered if we could start a stomp out of ds and wait until someone tries to interrupt us and go into ds. If you were good enough at it it’s a guaranteed stomp with an extremely short cooldown if traited for fitg, the only way to stop it would be to remove your stab which would be impossible.

I was running poc before the patch, I will still swap that in along with offhand dagger, corrupt boon instead of BiP and occasionally hoelbrak.

I had a grand ol kittening time running this yesterday, granted it seemed like there were an awful lot of kitten pvpers yesterday but I was tearing it up. I never really used to use that whole lich duration anyway and I’m not rocking wells or anything and this is basically what I’ve been using for a while now with a few slight variations.

Even I have to admit it would be a little op if we could start a res or a stomp then switch to ds mid stomp or res to hit 3 or something or just for increased health pool to tank.

Wasn’t the rtl nerf just to make it so it lowered eles mobility? This just sounds like theives are kittened they need to land one attack for access to another.

Pretty sure any class can use nightmare runes…. ok how about this eles, engineers, and warriors shouldn’t be allowed to use sigil of battle anymore too op, also shouldn’t be allowed to have perma fire fields and a million blast finishers, theives shouldnt be allowed perma evade neither should rangers, guardians shouldnt be allowed to block everything, mesmers shouldn’t be allowed to perma stealth anything else anyone think they shouldn’t be allowed to do?

Last time someone made this thread I tried to say it wasn’t op and every jumped down my throat saying it was…. now people defend it, the build isn’t op I do like it because it adds mobility and ways to stomp.

For this that think reapers protection is op, wtf should s necro always have to eat hard CC unless we have a pocket guardian oh noes we got one trait that helps against what everyone knows destroys necros oh noes….

BTW vee wee tell your team to relax with the god kitten ed treb, maybe I’ll actually get a team that won’t afk and won’t make the stupid staff ele go kill the treb.

I think if you really want pets you should make a necro, at which point you will start to hate your pets that are off studying the local geology rather than killing stuff.
