S P E E D Starr #0 Necro NA or
I Am NeXeD awful d/D ele NA
I think you use boon duration gear and runes and probably the food too which has mf on it so its a nice boost in pve… At least iI like to think so I’m not entirely convinced its effective but every little bit helps…
No no no no no no no no no no the whole reason why I found the ele so attractive was the intensity and the apm you need to be a good ele. The attunement swapping is what makes the ele special its the primary mechanic.
I already feel like I have unlimited dodges on my ele and we have evasive arcana, you want to be able to dodge more and be able to continue attacking while dodging? Yeah that’s not gamebreaking at all.
I run a 20/20/0/30/0 siphon build full knights vamp runes. I honestly hate the idea of using pvt with siphon builds and I feel the extra damage + damage mitigation from using knight’s ore than makes up for lack of vitality on the gear plus your already getting it from going 30 into blood. I’ve run level 30 fractals with no ar withought hindering my group. Easier content I throw on berserker weps and jewels for some added dps and I have zero trouble with surviving. It takes balls to play a siphon necro though you need to be right up in there , don’t know how many times I’ve done a lfg where the group see’s me start meleeing bosses yells at me that I’m gonna die only to have then be like Welp guess not lol.
I’d rather not be a pinball for a few without dropping 30 in Sr. Make spectral armor give stability.
Either way the amount of time any of the devs have played this game it shouldn’t be that funny if they killed someone on any class.
I never understood its cooldown, when I get downed I can’t use it for like 5 seconds and by the time i can its too late I’m already dead because I have 1/3rd the downed life.
2 dwayna, 2 monk, 2 water. I love the sigil of energy combined with the might on dodge endurance food and evasive arcane I’m a dodging regen machine.
I have a few different sets I run with but usually my armor is all knights sometimes dolyaks sometimes scholar and either I switch between valk/zerker/knights jewels and always zerker weapons. I run 20/20/0/30/0 maintenance oils and omnomberry ghosts, d/d always and either a/f or staff woc, wos, and for the last utility it depends on what the fight is and lich. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I’m the last one alive soloing a boss and I usually win. Lifesteal and siphon scale so well with toughness that I actually understand why its not higher as they would make vamp necros borderline op.
If you your using accuracy I assume you want more precision in that case go perception.
If you posted your builds and traits it would help us help you optimize what your looking to do.
All I ever see in tpvp ele vids is d/d s/d. Usually 0/10/0/30/30 or 0/0/10/30/30
High arcane high water builds easily countered lawlz.
Scepter/dagger for solo leveling.
Why didn’t you just post in the threads complaining about siphoning rather than post a wall of text that literally read the siphoning traits sucks and I have no clue what the rest of the blood magic traits do.
The amount of horrible advice on these forums makes my face hurt.
Ok I’m not sure if I understand what your asking anymore, and it may be your confused in attunements…. Attuning to an element does not change what your stats do…. Healing gear is fine if that’s what you would like to play with just because you specced into a trait line doesn’t mean you have to only use those attunements like I said that would hinder you. Playing ele should feel very fluid constantly swapping attunements for what is called for in your situation trying to keep your Boons up and once you get it down its really a beautiful feeling.
All of them? I think the whole point of the ele is to be contstantly switching attunements I know I have mine set up to the point that i have unlimited dodges gaining might on dodge and constantly having swiftness, regen, protection, and might. Do not lock yourself into one attunement you hindering yourself.
I want a kittening plane wing for a weapon.
20/20/0/30/0 d/d staff full knights master maintenance oils omnomberry pies and dolyak runes
If that’s not doing it for you you can go 10/20/10/20/10 knights armor berserker jewels scholar runes d/wh staff. This build is better in giant zergs. You won’t be as tanky but you should put up some very good damage.
Ughh I dream about what a full knights necro would be like if it scaled on damage. Probably why it doesnt.
Am I the only one who doesn’t think siphon should scale with healing but with damage seems like a more necroish mechanic.
I run a power siphon wells build and I haven’t had any trouble in any dungeon and I’m a walking siege engine in wvwvw.
20/20/0/30/0 full knights with dolyak runes perception sigil and life leech on crit sigil onfocus and life leech sigil on staff. Use master maintenance oils and omnomberry pies. Well of corruption well of suffering and your last utility can be whatever you need typical I use bip or spectral wak.
I’ve had a character called “The Druggernaut” for 3-4 months. Now they make me change my name can someone please tell me why?
The name itself is more of a play on large pharma corporations not condoning drug usage.
I guess I’m going into this with different ideas than everyone else is my goal wasn’t to become a tank my goal was to balance damage and survivability I don’t think the necro shines when trying to go one way or the other and I wanted a build that forces you to do damage as fast as you can, the faster I do damage the faster I build my own health back
I’ve tried that minion siphon build and honestly I don’t think its as effective especially notin edungeons or fractals whee the minions get one shotted everytime.
The way I play I don’t treat my wells or dagger 2 as damage skills I think of them as heals.
In wvwvw I havent had trouble 1v1 anything other than mesmers and thieves and its not even that they are killing me I just can’t kill them they are both invisible for most of the fight so all I can do is switch to staff drop a well and hit ds life transfer and hope they aren’t too far away already. If I do manage to get the 25 precision then they melt.
So I’ve been running a vamp build that I just kind of threw together I’m using full knights gear d/d with +5 crit chance and perception sigil and a staff with the life leech on crit sigil. For runes I’ve tried vampiric runes, dwayna runes, scholar runes, and dolyak and I’m going to stick with dolyak I think.
For traits I’m running
20 V and either VI or X
20 IV and IX
0
30 II, V, XII
For food I eat omnomberry pies and master maintenance oil.
Consume conditions for heal
Well of Corruption
Well of suffering
This last skill it really depends on what I’m doing in WvWvW I usually use spectral walk or signet of the locust. Dungeons I’m usually using spectral armor. In spvp I use signet of undeath.
Gone through quite a few builds but this one seems to be the one I’ve been most effective on. Anyone else have a good vamp build or a critique on this build?
crit damage is 85% and chance is 21, but im not wearing exotics just the weps, shoulders and boots are exotix right now.
Anyone try running 30/20/0/0/20 half zerker gear and half valkyrie gear with valkyrie accesories and beryl orbs in everything weps are all valkyrie as well with bloodlust runes in them a/f staff and d/d. Basically geared for power, crit, precision, and vitality. I forget my exact traits but the only real reason I traited curses was for ground well target utility skills are the two damaging wells and blood is power and lich form elite. Been using it for about a week and I haven’t run into a problem yet. Anyone else try anything like that?
Minions are effective in spvp and solo leveling, some people can use them in dungeons I’ve found we are more effective in using wells and aoes in dungeons. In large wvwvw battles I think they are useless, for a roaming wvwvwvw character they are awesome. The minions are used more for tanking damage allowing you to use your weapon attacksmore as well as for their abilities bone minions are a pretty good nuke.
Condition necros would be the best but because of the condition limit they can be ineffective if there are others using conditions.
I like the power necro builds a/f staff and wells. You do decent damage with everything except the axe’s auto attack. I usually start with staff let your face tank guys run up drop your marks switchs to axe focus drop your wells start running in hit focus 4 axe 2 axe 3 focus 5 by now you’ve taken some damage switch back to staff hit your ds hit ds 4 start backing away and use the ds autto attack until you lf is about half switch out of ds and drop your marks again.
What are you using for your utilities… Either way if your dying that fast your doing something wrong, kind of sounds like your burning your dodges too fast and you don’t have your heal timing down, consume conditions isn’t an insta heal gotta time it and pray you don’t get disrupted. If you can survive your opponents opening burst attacks you should be able win with a conditionmancer.
Hey there, kind of new to guildwars 2 but I have leveled an Asura necro to 40 and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. I really haven’t had trouble with any of the Pve content but i would like to start fine tuning what stats I’m looking for. I’ve had the best success running scepter/dagger and staff, I use consume conditions for healing skill, and for utility skills I run well of corruption, well of suffering, and locust signet. For elite I toggle between plague and flesh golem. Just curious what kind of stats I should be focusing on for a build that uses those skills.
