The entire Prefix bonus system needs a rework. Too many combinations are locked behind rare (ie expensive), deprecated, or deep achievement oriented PvE content. And with all of our stats being pushed onto gear, the entire Exotic gear table has turned into an utter mess for anything not part of the original prefixs.
Whats that you say? Ascended gear isn’t as limited in this regard? I mean sure, they’re expensive to craft (or not at all for the trinkets), but we can always farm tokens, commendations, laurals and badges to obtain the ones not locked behind achievements!
They really do need to revisit this whole acquisition design if they really expect us to utilize this system beyond zerks meta.

LA has the most bugs currently( not karka ). I didn’t record the date and time, all I remember was me dropping dead for no reason.
When ever I try to customise the face parts like eyes, nose etc. It prohibits me from tilting the face. It also doesn’t zoom in like it use to as well. This is keeps occurring.

Not even 20-25 stacks, even with Potent Poisons, venom sigil, runeset with 30% poison duration and SB #4 spam … Arenanet is just straight up, stupid. Hands down, stupid. They do not think / test things out in the field, type stupid. Ready to assume things are strong when they aren’t, and assume things are weak when they aren’t without testing it at all type stupid.
You can get maybe 12 stacks when running potent poisons (trash trait) a venom sigil and a runeset with a 30% poison bonus on it by spamming SB #4. Even if SB #4 were buffed to a 4 second duration base and Potent Poisons buffed up to 50% uptime and took that along with a venom sigil and poison rune set, we would get 12 seconds total uptime out of the field if someone were to stand in it like last patch, except it would do a little more damage yet would still pale compared to cluster bomb, especially detonated which ironically costs less initiative.
Meanwhile, burning. Do I even need to say more? Burning ticking for thousands of damage with easy instant applications baked into powerful damage rotations. God forbid you ever seen more than 10 stacks on you. Take an Elementalist which is bad enough or the new burn Guardians … absolutely ridiculous what they can pull off with burning. Who needs condis / layering (or skill) when you can litter the ground with burn effects, or when your constant block spam applies burning on top of your other sources to it + great damage even with condi stats.
I’m going to say this again. Anet it … is @#$%‘ing stupid. ^^ Condi thief is no longer a viable option, at all. Our condi dmg actually went down due to formula changes and stacking going higher without giving us any compensation – and we are the only class that can condi without burning, so now we’re the joke-tier condi class \o/. I knew based on what I read that this patch was going to be a trainwreck in terms of balance and that thief was going to suck thanks to Karl being an idiot who stutters over our traits during livestream with things like “I haven’t looked at these in weeks” – Oh, that’s nice, glad to know we’re in not only capable but also caring hands, hahahaha.
“Trainwreck” is an understatement. This is by far the most garbage patch with the most mind blowing level of terrible balance that rewards bad players far more than any other patch I have ever seen.

PU mesmers are farrrr more dangerous now compared to thieves. They’ve got bigger burst and better escape thanks to longer stealth duration. I’d worry about them more.

I seriously think we need that as it gives us more room to breathe in terms of diversity. The amulets are fine but I feel like the stats are rather rigid. Maybe you guys could give us 900-1000 stat points to incert it into our stats for a more desired build. Oh and I felt like a tooth pick last night running my thief while using the new Marauder Amulet. I couldnt stand and against any class due to me dying so quickly, sure we’ve had a couple of buffs n bigger damage output, but our previous survivablity is completely demolished. Feline grace and Shadow’s Embrace… T_T why? Counter play?

Hmmm ok so now I get that D/D, with meta builds, is useless compared to D/P in sPvP because of D/P’s ease of stealth and utility with teams. Now I don’t get why so many people play D/D in WvW. I understand that it’s more fun, but if that were the case then people would play it in sPvP too, so there must be something it does in WvW better than D/P but I don’t know what. Considering D/P has a gap closer on 3 and since WvW is very spacey for people to run away/kite I’d assume D/P is better in WvW.
Mostly because D/D builds are able to reach around 4 thousand power in WvW, and people in WvW have inherently lower defenses, all while CnD and other abilities do more damage due to sPvP-only nerfs. A thief when expending all of his resources can actually be played to burst people down in WvW unlike being forced into blindspam skirmishing in sPvP.
D/P still works fine (a lot of roamers use it for the permanent stealth uptime and skirmishing potential against tankier foes), but it’s a lot less fun if you’re not a big fan of stealth. D/D plays with stealth, but it’s more about the backstabs/coming out of stealth than anything else.

I know this is too much to ask because the devs would have to go back and redesign the voices all over again but I really think it’ll help players feel a bit more distinguish. Especially for people who particularly enjoy lore. I guess a few people have made this request before but I’m just going to make the same request again. Please take this into consideration.

If only anet would stop trying make Thieves a condition class then it’ll definitely help boost our power builds. Cause then people would stop complaining about how broken we are ==.
I don’t have a problem with thieves using conditions. I just have a problem with the risk/reward of condition thieves currently. I think the biggest problem is dire gear, which just minimizes any risk involved in playing the spec. A very good first step would be removing dire gear.
Other big problems include the way that SA or acro synergize with dire, how steal is a one-button-do-all, and how thieves can stick on targets amazingly well while still applying heavy condition pressure (as opposed to, say, PU mesmer).
I think this will only get worse post-patch, with needle trap on heal and torment on interrupt with no ICD. The torment, especially, is going to be a pre-perplexity-nerf level of broken, especially given how easy it is to interrupt with sleight of hand or pistol 4.
Yeah, same goes to the 50% Resilience of Shadows. Then again other classes are getting an increased damage buff as well so I really can’t judge. Guardian’s 20% increased damage while in symbols is a good example and rangers… Ohhh pew pew power ranger, those kitten new opening traits.
