Honestly i never seen such situation in any MMO.
Such a disaster for Anet.
You must not play very many mmo’s….
This is really minor compared to what has happened in many other MMO’s. – not to excuse this one though.
I’d love to hear other accidents like this.
Im no game developer, but how hard could it possibly to make an open field arena for GvG? No gimmicky mechanics needed, just Coliseum.
Still no A Net replies.
Quick question.
What happened to GW1’s PvP Developer Team?
Did they all quit?
Have like 10 stacks. It’s annoying.
Well, remember GW1? People played UW/FoW for years even though it almost never changed, and it was hardcore content. I don’t recall anyone ever complaining about it.
Personally, I think this game lacks decent hardcore team content with more than 5 players.
I’ve defeated him 3 times out of 4. That one loss was because of random wave at less than 25%.
Eurogamer Expo 2013
“We were hoping originally it would take days/weeks for players to defeat Tequatl instead of 12 hours.”
My first attempt with organized group was successful.
With this, hopefully Arena Net realizes that they have to make even harder content.
Heavy Armor was much more better looking in GW2, well, at least more diverse.
Why can’t we have heavry armor with skirt? I’d pay 800 Gems for that.
Where does this leave me?
I play casually, but I hate easy content.
Most of you people play casually and hat hard content.
How come I play maybe 8 hours/week max and I have like 20 different Ascended Accessories?
Even now, the game is not complex, like, at all, nothing about it is, at least in PvE. How do you get more casual than that?
And, what’s not fun for you might be fun for others.
At least make the Bosses/Monsters move around.
They just stand there and soak up the damage.
I find earning money rather easy, however If I need to craft something it’s hell.
Mats are extremely expensive.
Yesterday without any guides tried leveling up to at 500 Weapon crafting, after spending like 10G and 420 LvL, someone im my guild said that it takes approximately 200G to get max level, and I gave up. No thanks.
I rather play FOTM.
It’s not a bug! It’s a feature!
Touche.
How come I’m still enjoying this battle even in an overflow with massive zerging while having settings on low/medium and 10-15 FPS or less?
This really saddens me. Why. WHy can’t we have both challenging content for those who want it, and easier/medium hard content for other. Why?
Everything should be made just to please your play style, or everything’s should be made only for so called supposedly majority of the players ignoring the supposedly minority.
Clocktower is up to this day the best JP that was ever in the game.
I hate gathering/exploring.
I hate Living Story.
I hate GW2’s lore.
I hate Childish instances like SAB.
I hate facerollable content, content that takes literally 3 buttons to win – 1, dodge, heal.
I love epic group content that requires tons of teamwork, coordination and that takes time to finish and is punishing.
Remember, GW2 takes everything I loved about GW1 and puts it in persistent world.
I’m waiting for content similar to DoA/UW/FoW/Urgorz/The Deep.
Yes. I just did that. And I don’t care that I got nothing but blues and 2 golds.
The whole preparation / team speak process was epic.
Now, with 8 characters, I have no interest in the slow process of crafting/manfacturing these ascended or whatever items for any of my characters… since I know that to make them for all will take many months.
The way this has been done is somewhat underhanded, and has helped to dilute my interest in GW2. Anyone else agree?
I agree 100%.
If there is going to be a gear treadmill; I would rather play a game that does it right. GW2 is just a boring laundry list of materials.
I HATE crafting and I HATE gathering. These are chores; not intense game play.
I assume you consider Tequati bad too, because it’s too intense? Correct?
I rather spend 3 hours of my day waiting for an epic boss fight than faceroll boss spamming auto attack. It really saddens me when I see people want this.
Some people may not realize this, but not all content is meant for everyone.
Remove overflows, add districts.
Show me the survey and the number of people who did it.
Overcoming challenge is more rewarding than the reward itself.
Challenges and difficulties make content more rememberable – I still remember grinding a whole month in GW1 just to get max Lightbringer and Sunspear to have a chance of wining Mallyx and completing Domains Of Anguish.
Yeah, that was amazing fight. DPS here.
Hopefully never.
Go kill some boars or play SAB.
Get a guild. I just finished Tequati in an overflow.
Apart from low fps and invisible characters everywhere, this is probably the best fight I’ve ever had in GW2 (first being Liadri).
So here’s a thanks. And please, don’t listen to people who want to trivialize everything.
I’m willing to bet that same people who are crying over Tequati cried over Liadri too.
Always excuses. Bad camera, high ping, lags and whatnot. Of course.
Challenging content should also be punishing.
If that’s something you don’t like, there’s plenty of content out there.
Personally, I hate SAB and I have played it maybe twice and I don’t care about the fact that I wont get all achievements or weapon skins, and I don’t come here whining about it, why can’t you do the same?
Content should get progressively harder, not easier.
Or is arena net unable to create zergless content?
Copy Paste UW into GW2 and make all monsters equally as strong as Lidari.
Fragmentation already exists, and while I agree these events are doing decent job putting players together, outside of that, most players play differently.
Personally, I stopped caring about the open world the moment I got 100% explorer.
Adding instances wouldn’t destroy the game.
I’m fairly sure there are still tons of people out there who hasn’t played FOTM to this day because they don’t like it.
Shadow Form
Word Of Healing
Because it’s a casual facebeook mmo.
No, but honestly, I agree. GW1 had better and more diverse looking areas.
Cantha slums made me feel depressed.
Domains of Anguish was the best though.
Make players do X events in a specific map to open the entrance to instance Y for limited time Z.
For example – Scarlet’s minions are attacking X. After completing the incasion, instance opens to fight boss Y.
How do you communicate with afk turret player?
Or a troll?
I mean, why not put Tequati in a separate instance?
Seriously why not?Because people are complaining to high heaven about maps being empty and servers being ghost towns so you want an instance that removes 100+ players from the game at a pop?
It is called fragmentation of the player base.
Seriously that is why
Fragmentation? What’s wrong with that?
Aren’t we supposed to play the game how we want it?
Don’t want to play Dragon, go do something else, no one is forcing you.
Plus, a month from now, the new Tequati zone will be dead again.
Same as Southcove.
I mean, why not put Tequati in a separate instance?
Seriously why not?
No. You don’t do raids with AFKers, Trolls, Noobs and unknown badies.
You see, the idea is great, but if you would have put Tequati in an instance, where you could play with well known team mates/decent players, would would already have 1000 groups beaten the dragon by now.
Now you get to play with unknown, potentially bad players who doesn’t know anything.
At least it’s not massive zerging and my success is based on how good/skilled I actually am.
It seems Arena Net is unable to create a difficult and challenging team content – instances, dungeons, whatever.
All we get is massive zerging, which by the way isn’t hard, it just happens that massive zerging attracts tons and tons of terrible inexperienced players.
Why, I mean, why can;t arena net recreate DoA/UW/FoW/Urgoz/The Deep in GW2?
Because terrible players would;t be able to play it, i mean, faceroll zerg it?
And do not even mention FOTM or Arah.
So, we’re taking camp and see TC zerg(15+) coming to us.
We’re outnumbered, like 7 players.
So, do we lose? Nope.
TC players died like flies, literarly, all zerg was dead in 15 seconds.
I was like – the hell? I guess they wear no armor or something.
Hilarious.
So who get’s the special access? The ones who spend the most money in Cash Shop?
