I’d love to see Developers asking WvW players what we actually want to see.
I’d love to see more communication between the devs and players.
I remember first attempts – I thought – “How the hell am I supposedto do this?” – then I noticed that the Visions spawn at the same place all the time and that the AoE follows predetermined pattern.
Yeah, it’s more satisfying than facerolling boss monsters for hours while mindlesly grinding for new shiny.
I don’t know, CD fought great this morning, maybe they have still the chance to catch up with SoS and win them.
I’m form FA, quite frankly I don’t get the drama we’re having here.
And yes, I wont deny the matchup is bad and unfair.
Post here if you’ve won the battle against Liadri.
Which profesion, weapons and traits, your thoughts on battle – exiting, boring, bad, too hard, rewarding etc.

I managed to win her today both with my Guardian and Thief.
Guardian 0/0/30/30/10, GS/Staff.
And
Thief 0/30/20/20/0, Shortbow/ Pistol/Pistol.
Took me around 40 attempts to win.
Overall, I think the battle is not that hard if you memorize the pattern of the AoEs and I would surely love to see more content like this in future.

Need more people complaining about Black Powder and Heartseeker in this thread.
Also, make more JPs like Clock Tower.
Thank you Arena Net for finally making something that takes skill and practice.
Luck? Nice excuse for failing.
There’s no luck involved in the final battle, unless you’re a bad player and you keep dodging randomly to all directions and spamming your keyboard and somehow manage to win.
Agree with OP.
Also, we need more "Liadri " like missions with actual party – not just zerging.
Yeah.
/agree .
Maybe for another Festival Living story adding more gem store items and more temporar content?
Yeah. No room for errors , I like that.
What I dont understand though is – most of the game is designed to be easy – I’d say more than 90%.
And now when Arena Net adds 1 single place meant for hardcore crowd casuals go ape_t, crying all day and night.
I rather die 125 times on a boss and keep trying until I succeed than face roll boss spamming auto attack without the need to even dodge.
Finally, you added battles that actually take some skill.
Now if only you could make the fights below the arena as engaging and fun – by removing the silly zerging – i’d be even more satisfied.
What weapons were you using?
Never mind.
Yeah, the Queen’s Gauntlet should have been in a separate instance – preferably solo.
RIght now, if you die and no one’s there to res you, you have to run back which takes around 2 minutes.
Also, tickets are only there to artificially lengthen the game.
Challenge accepted: I’ll do it with my GS only.
Now, if only Arena Net could fix the skill delay I’ve been having.
Tank Guardian here.
No problems with the phase one, phase two however seems kinda tricky.
GS/Staff set up, saving money for alts, don’t want to buy scepter.
Can you win the battle with Melee only?
Someone should make a thread claiming tutorial being too hard.
I did all the challenges till the last boss dying like only 2 times with full Cleric Guardian (3200 Toughness , 3000 Attack 28% Crit).
Stop being terrible people, learn to play.
I’m yet to beat the final boss, I’ve already died like 10 times, but I wont give up until I beat her.
Again. Cleric. GS. Guardian.
Been experiencing severe skill delay today.
What? I’m full Cleric non Berserker Guardian and I did it with the first try without any guides.
If you have gathered materials before – it takes around 7-8 G to get 20lvls from my experience.
Why the hell would you ever complain about too much money.
Doesn’t seem to be hard at all.
No, it did not, except for art.
FoW and UW – show me which 2 GW2 zones will ever get played as much as they were for next 6+ years.
Both these small zones easily trump all zones GW2 has release so far.
Did you completely forget or did you choose to ignore all the previous updates where we had to kill stuff?
You know, Karka, molten mobs, aetherblade pirates, that sort of thing?
Karka I’ll give you.
But aetherblades appeared ocassionally when you had to hunt holograms. Ooh…fun.
And you’re talking about temporary dungeons that lasted 2 weeks. It wasn’t an immersive story that involved us wandering Tyria and noticing pirates everywhere, slaughtering centaurs, and pillaging asuran outposts. Instead they materialized out of thin air as we played duck-duck-goose with holograms (something we spent the previous 2 weeks doing for taffy). Where were the Aetherblade DEs? The Molten DEs?Pretty much this, in response to your question Vol. It wasnt substantial real combat. Ocassionally a small pack of pirates. Ocassionally you stumble on some charr coming out of a portal.
To this end, Southsun was probably the most significant real content we received. Even though it promoted karma trains, you had people completing dynamic events..DYNAMIC EVENTS! Champion mobs, Karka queens. Karka invading towns, and we have to hold locations to spawn the queen. These things that are everywhere in the game, except in most of these mini patches.
Granted, southsun is as empty as it was. But lets be honest, its the only patch this year that has had real combat/content with dynamic events.
Southsun is an entire zone. It is unreasonable to expect such a thing to happen every 2 weeks. Same with new dragons or insane new monsters. Do that every 2 weeks and you simply don’t have enough monsters left to drive forward the lore and the game.
I want epic content just as much as you guys but you need to realistic. Stuff like that takes time and sometimes you need to prolong content so that you don’t run out of it.
We as GW2 players are spoiled as kitten. Other games like Rift, when I played it during release, we had zero content updates until several months later. Even Aion didn’t have anything special added until they had the expansions.
Faction added like 20+ zones in 2006, less than a year after original game launched.
Not to mention their team was much, much smaller than it is now.
FOTM update has been the best for me so far.
Like in GW1.
Warriors with Meteorit Shower and Frenzy.
“I can equip stafff, my build is good.”So you need to go cookie-cutter or else?
One of the reasons GW1 wasn’t such a good experience for me is that besides my Guild, I found it full of people who wouldn’t want me to play anything but what was accepted and popular. It was way worse than in GW2, ironically. Too many “noob” words being thrown around without any thought, as if players didn’t know what they were doing just for doing things differently.
Of course you can make a build that isn’t too good, but that doesn’t mean that anything that isn’t cookie-cutter is bad either.
You don’t need the most optimal build, just the one that works good and which actually helps your party and not slows down them.
Not to mention, back in days I saw rangers running pet skills with no pet, how stupid must one be to make a build like that? I think I have a screenshot somewhere on the old pc.
Oh, just wait until you see the next festival, I sure you’ll be enjoying even more mini games and more gem store items.
Currently, GW2 seems more of a “Facebook” type game than MMO.
Like in GW1.
Warriors with Meteorit Shower and Frenzy.
“I can equip stafff, my build is good.”
Viable, yes. As effective? No.
I don’t want to play dungeon for 3 hours just because you have random traits and awful dmg output.
The thing is – I want the most damage, but I also don’t want to die when I get hit once or few times.
Yeah, mistake, I eant Soldier ( 2 Soldier 4 Berserker)
Alright.
So, just got level 80.
Bought 4 Berserker and 2 Knight Armor Pieces. + Have 1 Ascended Berserker Ring.
What Runes should I get? Accessories – 3 Berserker and 1 Valkyrie ?
Personally, I’d want to make a lengendary, but currently I find most skins rather meh.
Some Mystic Forge exotics look better in my opinion.
How will servers handle advanced AI if they can’t already handle unlimited AoE?
If I;m bellow level 80, I don’t care what I’m running.
The next festival (living story) after the QJ.
More RNG? More Gem Store skins? More mini games?
Any ideas?
It’s simplistic because they wanted the game to be more accessible, more beginner friendly, more casual – easy to pick up and play.
The combat (monster fights) itself doesn’t require much too – most encounters in open world are easy, most normal mobs are killable with auto attack.
Yes, GW1 was not a perect game, however, it was more complex than GW2.
They should learn from Dark Souls.
Stop catering to braindead people.

Thanks for the replies – So full Zerker gear – all ring / accessories ?
We should have a TC vs JQ match.
Who’d win?
Anvil Rock
Which one is generally better both in PvE and PvP?
I’m level 70, planing to craft my way up to level 80 today and I’m not quite sure whether I should go full Berserker glass cannon or spec in Conditions.
Currently, I feel extremely weak with D/P build in WvW, I can barely inflict any damage – killing guard takes ages, however I do like running with my Shortbow.
We already know how this match will just end.
So lets just give JQ 50% of map, 30% to FA and 20% to MAG.
Friendly solution, no one needs to fight, we can all live peacefully.
I like Maguuma, they’re quite fun to play against.
Don’t give up.

Arena Net – will we never hear anything about Abaddon ever again? Human Gods?
