Rangers are horrible in Dungeons, no offense, but they are.
Warriors/Guardians + Mesmer is all you need.

Expand On End Game - Add Underworld

Nick.6972

Make a Living Story based around the human Gods which leads us to a new 8 player instance/elite dungeon – Underworld.
Make it skill intensive, requiring great coordination and teamwork.

People played original UW for YEARS endlessly till GW2 came out.

Why can’t Arena Net add something similar in GW2 so we "" hardcore "" people can be happy?

Sorry to say to you Arena Net, but adding more Fractals is not the right way to expand on the end game.

As for the age and money.
I’ve never played WoW, but I’m sure back when it was akittens prime, it wasn’t aimed at 50 year olds.

If memory servers me correctly it was aimed at first for players between 19 and 28. Then they started to market it for teens and preteens; which caused most of the original targeted users to leave the game in mass. That was about 2006 when that happened.
It was released 11/2004. So that would make those original targeted users between 29 and 38 today many of which still play MMOs.
We are not looking at yesterday’s market share, but today’s. So is Anet.

What about those who play casually and who dislike easy facerollable content?

The fact that I did 16/16 Bazaar Achievements in less than 3 days doesn’t help either.
Hell, I’m not even rushing or using any guide, everything’s too simplistic.
And what should I do now? Wait another week till I get other 5 hour content update?
How about adding new HARD permanent repeatable dungeons?
Is it too hard to create a decent hard content for players that want an actual challenge? Is 1% Hardcore 99% Casual content division unfair?

… instead of time played? not like they’re hard, but fotm gives nothing, arah gives nothing, no automated spvp tourneys with enormous prizes for winners…

Funnily enough they had achievement like these in the Aeatherblade dungeon. And people raged like mad on these forums about it being “impossible”.

What? We finished the final boss in under than 12 minutes first try.
1 Guardian 3 Warriors 1 Mesmer.
Get better.

Add new hardcore dungeon with timer, the better you finish it, the more rewards you get, make it 2 hours long.
Then again, thanks to the good GW2’s game mechanics, everyone would just run Warriors with berserker gear.

If you don’t like it…don’t do it. Clearly people do like it, because lots of people are doing it, even after they have their achievements.

Anet made a game for people, not any one person. They’re providing a variety of experiences. I didn’t like the dungeon last month but I didn’t say they shouldn’t design more like that. Because there’s other content I play.

So, don’t give me this “don’t like it, don’t play it” talk because you know it very well people will advocate their playstyle, you know that, and I know that, because you almost live in these forums lobbying for the “casual gamer rights”*, doing your daily “forum PvP” as you said yourself once.

Is LS a filler or is it tied to the main story line?

If not, what happened to the whole epic “Dragons are attacking the world” thing?

Why are we having these cheerful festivals if the world around us is being destroyed and people are dying around us, that doesn’t make any sense to me.

Wasn’t the story supposed to be based around the war against the dragons and their minions, what we have now is just goofy/corny fillers, or am I missing something?

Watering everything down to make it more accessible and catering to people who want everything to be handed to them with no effort at all.
Not my skill level? How about this – practice?

Waiting for the JP that wll require a single space button press to finish.
Clearly a JP like this would be great because players with any skill level would be able to finish it without any problems, right?

What etiquette? Oh please. It’s a game.

Yeah, ettiquette as opposed to a rule.

It’s better if it remains “etiquette” rather than becoming " a rule" which would be more punitive. Meaning if you happened by an event later = no/less reward. That would suck for eveyone.

You follow?

If I can leech, I’ll do it.
Why?
Yeah, no thanks, do a crappy event for 25 minutes to get 2-3 blue items from end chest. No thanks.

I never bothered doing any other silly achievements because they’re pointless, plus, after first time of completing the dungeon, I never bother going back to it.

I find it hard to believe how someone could get more than maybe 5 hours game play out of the LS updates.

What else is there to do in the game? Grinding legendaries is almost the same as grinding achievements.

I don’t do either, and I’ve been playing off an on since last September. If you really don’t see any other options this isn’t the right game for you.

I asked what else is there to do in this game and you say the game isn’t for me, what? I don’t think you’re aware endgame is pretty much cosmetic.

I have 14 character slots and five max-level toons. I’ve never done guild missions, fractals, and only ever entered one dungeon since I started playing the game, and I have not yet run out of things to do. Most of my toons have a specific look that I like, I’m an artist and visual appeal is very important to me.

There is no such thing as “endgame.”

How the hell is that even possible?
I only have 1 lvl 80 and 5 50-40lvls and I’ve done almost absolutely everything.

That’s your subjective opinion.

But, try looking at manifesto objectively without bias.

Can you do that?

I have done it. As an editor not as a disenfranchised Guild Wars 1 fan. You think you’re being objective. I don’t think you are. I think you’re as subjective as hell.

Over the years I’ve had to leave my prejudice at the door while editing. I literally have to turn off preconceptions…it comes with the territory. It’s about reading what’s THERE.

The word grind, as used in that sentence was never defined in the way most people claim it is. They simply have an IDEA of what grind is.

And because I clearly remember the clarification Anet published right after that manifesto, I dare say I’m a whole lot less subjective than you are. After all, Anet explained what they meant in simple English, because some people DID misunderstand. Particularly the bit about Colin talking about DEs and Ree talking about personal story.

But yeah, I almost always read objectively…it’s an occupational hazard. You’re the one assigning a new value to the word grind, when another definition was provided two or three lines earlier.

Where do I mention grind?
I’ll continue from there.

Imma go out on a limb and say that this is a loading issue, where the total data bandwidth of your system cannot cope up with the total processing speed your computer is doing.
