It already is, via champion farm trains and the Living Story patches. And no, we don’t need more of it, because if the train ever dies out, people who want to do it by themselves can’t do it well.
Trolling or don’t know any better – I can’t tell.
Brambles, you beat me to it, and you’re probably right.
Bring Tybalt and Forgal back and maybe I’ll care.
Them again. Meh. I haven’t seen them yet, but I’ll check harder.
Incoming Ally AI buff for dungeons and instances confirmed?
While I hope so, I kinda doubt it.
I’m surprised people haven’t noticed Anet’s fixation on female characters. Most everything they do now is gurl power, down to the random npc chatter.
Mad King Thorn and the Bloody Prince are male.
That said when it comes to allies we have not had a decent male lead in a long while.
Other important male characters in the Living Story(since Clockwork Chaos, anyway): Braham, Vorpp, Moto, Ketto, Nimbb, Wortt, um…is that it?
I’ve noticed that female characters have been getting the focus right now, but it doesn’t bother me. Is it supposed to? (shrugs)

Marjory and Kasmeer are lovers!
Just like:
-Logan and Rytlock
-Jennah and Anise
-Ferrah and Crea
-Tegwen and CarysKeehee.
Don’t forget Caithe and Faolain xP
I know. The whole “Faolain being evil” thing kinda messes things up for that couple though. :/
So we can’t get in right now. And the base of the tower is thick with toxic spores, so we’d probably die before we could even try to find a way in. However, Marjory thinks she can develop an antitoxin with samples of the spores, so now we’ve got an objective of sorts.
“I found the crack in its cloak. A magical poke in the right place, and it dropped like…
“Like a norn fart at a moot.”
That’s it. All servers should stop fighting and immediately join forces to kick her out of the Mists. That’s just too much. Even as someone who doesn’t care for WvW, I wouldn’t wish her on that place.
Aww…did Kasmeer try to revive her? Marjory tried to revive Kasmeer when she went down in that fight, yet another thing that most NPCs won’t do, and even then usually not during battle.
She is a bad Necromancer. She got owned during the first instance fights.
Really? Only Kasmeer went down once when I did it, and only because the Oratuss decided to focus AoE on her (even when she blinked out of it, he’d just put another one down on her right away). Or is there another instance besides the intro that I haven’t seen yet?
While the effort Kasmeer and Marjory make still isn’t much, I was surprised by them dodging/blinking around and actually using more than just basic attack skills, more effort than even Destiny’s Edge tends to give.
(edited by Nilkemia.8507)
That will not end well.
“That tower was veiled with illusion magic… until a short while ago.”
“I found the perfect spell. It was luck, really.”
“It was fantastic. The sky darkened, and—”
So…what looks like the offspring of a Krait and a Hutt is attacking us. At least Kasmeer and Marjory are helping out this time, and they actually dodge/blink around and use more than just basic skills in this fight. It’s still not much, but it’s a much better showing than most other NPCs.
Wait…there are two of him?
I know Sylvari are produced by the Pale Tree, but I don’t think the world is ready for two Trehearnes.

Note to self: Make sure to triple-transcribe every obelisk so I don’t miss any of them.
We’re gonna need a bigger flame. Where’s that Searing Cauldron we got from Orr? I’d so use that right now.
The Toxic Alliance seems more Order of the Whispers than the Aetherblades(who I see as the counterpart of the Priory)
With the whole mesmer veil around the tower, I have to agree on that. Same with the Aetherblades, since they use magitech as their emphasis, like the Priory’s emphasis on knowledge and gadgetry to best enemies.
Molten Alliance being muscle..I see that, even though the other groups have plenty of it too (The Aetherblades seem to have even more).
Aetherblades are crafty? Besides their secret bases, even Whispers is better at the whole being secretive thing…although the Arcane Eye has them both beat in sneakiness.
How is the Toxic Alliance scholarly exactly? All they did was take their general nastiness and mix it together.
Still, this “Anti-Pact” thing is interesting. She’s taken most of the bad guy factions in the world and merged them together somehow. The only question left is why.
Presumably, this might have something to do with her talking on about how the forces that make this world work can be turned against each other. If she isn’t just crazy.
Oh, there’s Kasmeer and Marjory.
“Um…hello?”
“Shhh, not so loud.”
“Oh hello there, sir. Mind clearing the hostiles out so we don’t have to sit here?”
“..Right. I’ll take care of it.”
Well, on my own again. Probably better that way, what with the “toxins making NPCs hallucinate and turn on each other” thing. Let’s get a view of the tower and get a move on.
And, as Danikat said, it needs to be made more clear what characters specialize in before putting them in a story. (Remember Trehearne summoning 5 flesh golems and an elite shadow fiend, then never doing it ever again?)
If you take a second and watch traherne you could see he was a necro rather early. All his attack particles are black. Which is the necro’s thing. And the reason Anet said they wouldn’t release weapons/skins/dyes that changed the attack particles of characters, because then you couldn’t id them based on that. Which is kinda nitpicking I know.
In Marjory and Kasmeer’s case, Marjory wears black and green robes (signature of the necro, really) and while Kasmeer isn’t as clear on first meeting her (assuming you’ve never met them before) you may notice her using a pink stealthing on the two of them during the intro story mission, which is a mesmer thing.
….You do realize I’m referring to things that aren’t obvious by looking at them, right? I can’t tell if you’re serious or not.
You’re character has the respect of their home nation, has helped defeat Zaitan, is involved in every major world event and killed thousands of villainous creatures, and can do just about anything you can imagine.
OMG!!! Every single one of our characters is a Mary Sue!!!
We were the demons all along!
As a detective (and a necromancer to boot), Marjory having knowledge of poisons makes sense, just as Kasmeer’s knowledge of illusions/veils/barriers fits with her being a mesmer.
And, as Danikat said, it needs to be made more clear what characters specialize in before putting them in a story. (Remember Trehearne summoning 5 flesh golems and an elite shadow fiend, then never doing it ever again?)
Eh well. Might’ve been a few unnecessary lines here and there, but it didn’t bug me as much as the characters mouths not moving in the cut-scene.
“This just keeps getting worse.”
“Withdraw. We don’t have time for you now.”
“My time is more precious than this!”
“I won’t allow you beasts to trample us, not with so much at stake.”
“What centaur uses guardian powers? Snap out of it already!”
(edited by Nilkemia.8507)
“What could the Nightmare Court and the krait possibly have in common?”
“Besides being evil, I’m not sure.”
“Their toxic new alliance is obviously the source of the strangeness happening here. What are they planning?”
“We can find that out later. Let’s find Lady Kasmeer and Investigator Marjory and clear out ASAP.”
“Answers will have to wait. Form up on me and we’ll cross this bridge and press forward.”
The Toxic Alliance. I’m torn between saying “neat name” and “ugh, another alliance between improbable groups”. On the upside, they at least show some mechanics that enemies weren’t doing before: the down-state on the courtiers, and the krait actually reviving them (the krait still die normally). So hurrah for finishers actually having use outside of PvP and WvW now.
“Move in a group! There’s too few of us to accomplish anything by ourselves.”
“About that…why are there only 4 of you, Sergeant? I’d think a giant tower spreading darkness everywhere would get the attention of every nearby Seraph outpost at least. And Fort Salma’s not too far away from this, either.”
“Look, this was all we could spare, crusader. Between the centaurs and bandit resistance, nobody had time for the krait.”
“(Sigh) No matter. We press onw—By the Tree, Krait and Nightmare Court?”
“Heads up. We need that bridge to reach our people.”
It’s Kasmeer, not Kashmeer!
…Anyway, yes, their weapons look cool. Sadly, they’ll probably either end up as gemstore item or in the Black Lion chests.
Strangely, I’m torn between wanting them available and yet not. While they are really cool skins, I probably wouldn’t buy them since they don’t suit my characters’ aesthetics from what I can see: These weapons were clearly custom made for those characters they’re on, and they’d feel less special otherwise.
Despite that, I’d still prefer them being available somehow. But as I said, probably future Gem Store/B.L. chest items.
By this point in the story, the centaurs are supposed to be more or less defeated with the loss of their leader Ulgoth. Of course, that part doesn’t change due to the heart quests, new players, etc, so the old stuff still has to stay for now.
Still, it’s a valid point. I think even the centaurs would be like “We’re not having any of this,” and at least make their own efforts against the tower’s forces.
So Kasmeer and Marjory are already further onward, while only Sergeant Walters and three other Seraph are here to assist against an as of yet unknown force. This won’t end well.
Okay…that looks much different from before. Better warp in at the local quaggan depot and check on things.
The new zone picture is…meh. I’m already missing the old one with those statues carved into mountains, which never actually showed up in the zone.
Okay—wait what? I’m already there instead?
Do these two ever show up elsewhere outside of this instance?
I just find it a bit odd that we go help Zojja at the behest of these two, yet when the instance is over we’re thanked by some other Peacemaker we haven’t met before (Leff) who just stands around the entrance to Rata Sum, and I don’t think we ever see Robb or Gezzi again.
(edited by Nilkemia.8507)
As in the launch of the game itself of the S.A.B. patch?
“Another mail? What do they need me for this time?”
“Krait…well, a Vigil Guardian’s job is never done.”
And, from a distance, the pirate captain Wiley himself. Again, not sure if we ever get to fight him.
I’m back from the Underworld, with a revengeance!
Not sure if we’re ever supposed to fight this one at all or if he’s just perpetually drunk.
Of course, for this to be effective you have to be good at the jumping puzzle, and complete it on almost every run. I average about 100-130 bags per hour.
Appreciated, but that’s a huge flaw: Only people who are good enough to get through it every time will be able to do this well. For everyone else, they’re better off waypointing/running to doors in Gendarran Fields.

“Die die die die die die die die.”
“I’m afraid it’s time to die my dear, no one’s getting outta here alive!”
“You will fail and die!”
“Prince Edrick cannot be beaten!”
“The Mad King has forsaken you, this land is Edrick’s!”
Well, having a Mad King who kills his own wives for a father probably didn’t do well for Edrick’s psyche to begin with.
-That little spot between the Grove and Rata Sum filled in. (The Tarnished Coast)
-The Maguuma Wastes, what with a possible second “Pale Tree” out there.
-The Dominion of Winds and the Tengu.
-The Crystal Desert.
-The other elder dragons actually doing something.
I’m sure there’s more I’m missing, but that’s what comes to mind.

While we don’t have much reason to consider him one, he certainly could consider us one for sealing him back in (second only to his father). His last threat gives off the feeling that he’ll definitely burn everything we hold dear if he manages to get loose again. And his voice actor does a good job, considering what little they had to work with. He could make a better nemesis than..who we got instead.

If there even is a second part. Source please?
