Hmm. Hmmmmm…. No.
Interesting thought.
Please. She was garbage and deserved to burn like garbage. And this is from one who likes the Sylvari. She was a blight upon the lore, upon her own kind, and upon the rest of Tyria.
And before you say Mordremoth did it, feel free to recall that she worked with the Inquest of her own free will before that, had black market dredge contacts, and implied manipulating Omadd for her own purposes (which is even sadder when he was one of the few that did seem to care about her).
It shouldn’t happen, yet it does. All PvP is good for is reward tracks in the end.
Not quite, but close. Basically if you aren’t a Hammer spammer with at least two hard counter stances and Rampage, you’re just dead weight the moment you’re focused.
They used to allow us to queue from anywhere and do our own thing while waiting on a queue, but not anymore. Sigh.
So, higher vitality means more HP and better healing ability? Interesting.
Answer to the topic’s title : How about no.
The topic poster clearly hasn’t seen Logan and Rytlock’s love quarrels. Or Crusader Ferrah and Crea Irontooth in CoF Path 1.
Serious answer : They could love each other, but don’t expect children. Also, depending on who else knows of it, they could get shunned for having said relationship, due to the bad blood.
Because humans are inferior.
Asura and sylvari are the master races!
Answer : No.
The Lich was referring to the non-sylvari NPCs as well as the player if they weren’t one themselves either.
Also, considering Trahearne’s Wyld Hunt (along with the majority of his life) involved cleansing Orr , that would have to involve fighting the Risen.
“I was born to undo your master’s evil work. If that means killing you, then so be it.”
While Mordremoth is implied to use corpses for some of its minions (the wolves being most likely), we haven’t seen it doing this with anyone killed by the Mordrem or the dragon’s tendrils. In addition, it has already been stated that its ability to influence living beings (especially the Sylvari) is among the deadliest of its powers.

Pretty much anything that isn’t one of the three hard counter stances/Rampage is a joke and will burn up upon getting focused.
Someone said it already, but whatever you want. The great thing about this game’s “endgame” is that there are so many different things you can do, and it all comes down to what you feel like doing.
Carys. Tegwen. Larra. The mentor trinity of Forgal, Seiran, and Tybalt. Apatia. Kasmeer and Marjory…eh, that’s it. (shrug)
Well, what else is it good for, besides reward tracks/dailies?
That being said, this game’s PvP is better than any other of the games I’ve played. Then again, PvP tends to be a crapshoot regardless of what game you play anyways.
Oh no, Lion’s Arch is going to get destroyed again.
The idea for Eternity getting it’s own distinct skin is an interesting idea.
However, making it account/soulbound on creation is a stupid idea. While I understand that being able to sell legendary weapons take away from their legendary status somewhat, I still feel that the players should have a choice whether or not to sell them if they wish. While getting the two previous skins for Eternity may be an unintended side effect, I still feel there’s no good reason to punish people that choose to sell the Eternity and keep the previous skins.
Answer to the opening topic/post :
- Exploring the world/map/story. Not so much anymore, after having world completion 5 times and the story even more so, but it’s still somewhat there.
- Creating characters with design/aesthetics that I like.
- Acquiring skins I like, if they’re reasonable to get.
- Socializing with others that share these interests in the story/world.
- Gathering/crafting.
To me, PvP is something I only do for reward tracks and dailies. WvW I only did for map completion and never looked back. The only other useful thing is buying cheaper ascended trinkets if one has enough spare badges. In fact, I’ve never gone back since they removed WvW from map completion, so…meh.
Well, seeing as there’s no decent alternative to the three hard counter stances and Rampage/Battle Standard, what else would they use?
Take a look at the PvP meta builds and aside from Shoutbow, they all use at least 2 of the 3 hard counter stances, along with either Rampage or Battle Standard. Pretty much no decent alternatives.
Answer to the topic question : No. It’s either use Balanced Stance/Berserker Stance/Endure Pain, or be mediocre because no alternatives work even half as well.
Battle Standard if you expect to need to revive a group at any point, Rampage for anything else. Signet of Rage is a joke.

Well, that was amusing.
I hope reaper’s really good. But if not, will you show a video for that too?
How is this related to turret though?
I wonder, seeing as turrets have apparently been wrecked by the recent patches, I haven’t seen a single turreteer since then, and the opening post instead mentions the Elixir gun and condition to boon conversion meaning Elixir C (and possibly Lyssa runes), so the engineer in question couldn’t be a turreteer anyways.
Can’t tell if this is serious.
Is this a troll thread?
I don’t hate him, but I get why people do. He just wasn’t introduced into the story well at all, unless you play the Sylvari story where you do meet up with him early on. For everyone else, he’s just there when you go to Claw Island, out of nowhere. He also had a lack of emotion around that time too, as well as a knack for having random powers that he’d use once and then never again (5 flesh golems and a shade at the same time…).
Also, Trahearne only ever takes credit for one thing : naming Fort Trinity, even though you and he came up with the name (although, I consider that a slip up in the writing rather than Trahearne being a glory hog, since he isn’t). Other than that, he confides in you for most things and pretty much more or less says later on that they couldn’t have done it without you. Though, with the way the other NPCs congratulate him, it can look like he’s sort of “stealing the spotlight”, but it really doesn’t seem like it’s his intent to do so.
I kinda hope they don’t kill him off/turn him evil, that’d make me feel a little down, seeing as he definitely got better in Season 2…but we’ll just have to see.

They should bring it back, preferably as a reward track or part of one. No stupid RNG nonsense to it either. Make it one piece at the end like the Glorious Track if you have to, but no RNG or other pointless gimmickry to getting it.
And those whining about prestige/exclusivity basically sound like this:
“Forget you, got mine, I have it, now I don’t want you to have a chance at it!”
So, please stop. For me, making a character with a style/theme/aesthetic I like is so much more important than something petty as exclusivity/prestige.
Remember that time the servers got messed up and people were getting disconnected constantly? I do.
So no. That can stay dead.
Hmm.
Sigil of Ignition.
Sigil of Combustion.
Sigil of Burn.
Sigil of Scalding?
No, no we don’t.
Answer : No. And why should it be on consoles? That would add more problems than anything else.
For now, the best bet is to avoid relying fully on conditions for damage. This trait and Berserker Stance are both indicators of that.
Currently there is a post about a zerk warrior losing to 2 burst thieves. If your one of these people like the other people who posted about how they die to quickly id pefer you didnt come back.
Taken from aftermentioned post:
…As a Warrior with 3,467 armor, and roughly 20,000 HP…
That is a warrior with a Knight Amulet and Soldier runes. Next time, learn to read.
You can blame combat for a lot – but if you survived 3 people chasing you on your own, without any help from the team (peeling is not hard), who have the potential to lock you in and burst you down, would you say that it is balanced?
If I had the skill, yes. But, skill is only one factor, and not that big of one at that. The only classes that have a solid chance at escaping that are thief, mesmer, and maybe ranger and engineer (stealth). Depending on one’s utilities/elites, a few others can try, but their chances aren’t as great. Necromancers are all but dead unless they waste a utility slot for Flesh Wurm (whose only real purpose is a poor profession’s Blink), and depending on the placement, or if people just kill it beforehand, that won’t save them either.
Then again, I assume that you probably do and find it unfair that people can burst you down. You are entitled to an opinion, but you also got to realize that some people (maybe the non-vocal majority) actually do enjoy this direction on contrary to the previous one, with respective reasons as to why.
If I’m in Berserker gear or something similarly glassy, sure, I expect getting bursted down and understand why. Which is why I almost never pick the Berserker amulet.
But when I go out of my way to balance my attack and defense (which I usually do), or focus more on defense (example, Warrior with Knight’s amulet + Soldier runes, roughly 3,400 armor and 20,000 HP) and still get shredded like I barely have more defense than a Berserker, then I see a problem.

This is my favorite meta! I dislike bunkers poking each other on point. In this meta, you can’t really 1v2 or 1v3, you gotta run. And that’s good!
And then the 2 or 3 chase and spam immobilizes, CCs, cripples, chills, and then stop you completely. You can’t fight back nor run.
It was already like that before this, and now it’s just worse. If it weren’t for the reward tracks/dailies, this mode would be all but dead.
Hmmm……no.
/15 chars
No. Try harder. Tired of people that give up as soon as they get behind by 50 points.
I give up after the enemy team has a 100 – 150 lead, by that point, they pretty much will win unless they make a big mistake or one of their team disconnects.
Comebacks can happen, but they’re too rare to be worth trying for.
Suggestions : Make the piercing/vulnerability from Unyielding Blast a base ability of the skill itself, and make the channel time faster or have it shoot 2/3 shots per channel.
There is no such thing as “good”, just who gangs up on the other more, who watches the points better, who has builds that allow them to win with minimal effort/counter other builds easily, or just who plays dirtier.
Only play for the reward tracks/dailies, and nothing else.
Based on how you open your thread without any relative constructive questions on how you deal with thieves and how you respond to the following ppl who attempted to help you out in this thread, it is obvious that I can’t take you seriously at all.
Then why are you even replying?
If you still have a problem with that then seriously l2p, scrub.
“l2p, scrub”. You have any idea how toxic that makes you look? Things like that only make my thoughts on PvP even worse. Only good for the reward tracks…
The problem is that this could be exploitable. Just continually join matches and resign them for reward track progress. It would be a great feature if it couldn’t be used for gimmicky things like that, but there’s not really away to impliment that.
Basically that. I was trying to avoid saying that, but yes, that would be the one valid reason they’d have for not doing it. Still need a resign option for pointless fights though.
It should’ve been around already, but I doubt they’ll do that, because then matches would end much faster, and they can’t have that.
Rampage wins. Lich form is such a joke….which is sad since it’s arguably the only elite necromancer have that’s worth anything…
You die against 2vs1 and think that is unfair? lol, day after day QQ post are more and more absurd Oo
This is regarding two thieves. Against two of anything else, be they different proffesions or the same, you can at least fight back or try to disengage if they’re too much. Against two thieves, you can do neither, especially if they get the drop on you first.
Thieves specialize in chasing targets and 1v1 duels. Why on earth are you going to engage two of those who forte 1v1 when you are alone? This qq is much more of a stupidity and l2p issue than a legit problem.
So what do you want anet to do with Thieves, nerf them?
Should I also point out that I actively tried to avoid them and they hunted me down anyways? They even waited outside the spawn at one point so I couldn’t avoid them. Thanks for your pointless assumptions with no advice at all.

Well that’s your mistake here. Make a zerk warrior and just press Berserk Stance into Rampage when the thieves attack
Because that will somehow stop the absurd amount of damage they’ll do. And even if that would work, they’ll just stealth spam and run off like the cowards they are, until Rampage/Berserker Stance are done.
use double endure pain?
…Same answer applies here, assuming you’re serious.
Especially if all they do is focus you and daze/immobilize/blind you non-stop so you either can’t do anything or anything you can do is irrelevant. As a Warrior with 3,467 armor, and roughly 20,000 HP, I still die in like 2-3 seconds, while I can neither fight nor flee. What’s even the point of trying to build defensively if it’s irrelevant?
Things like this are why I play PvP only for the reward tracks, and nothing else. This mode would’ve been all but dead by now without them.
