There are no mistlock singularities in last lvl?
There are, the same you have from 91-99 too (Boon Thieves and Social Awkwardness)
he asked for singularities, not instabilities
Hurr yeah I kittened that up.
There’s singularities too, though.

Then why did they remove EXP from all the other places with infinite respawning mobs? This was an oversight.
I can’t be kitten d to find the twitter post from an anet-employee which said “Core masteries are designed with older content in mind. How fast you acquire them is up to you”, shortly after this “exploit” as you call it became known.
No exploit, people can farm EXP this way if they choose to.
No, you need 150AR to take 1% damage per tick on scale 100.
Super bunny sniper time.
10th class and new race confirmed?
This is quite hilarious tbh
Hmmmmm.
Ha I took the exact same screenshot.
Yeah, the story quest is buggy as hell; as someone said, wipe and it’ll fix itself. Also, as a matter of fact, when all those shadows spawn at the end, kill them first before finishing, otherwise it might also bug out from what I’ve heard.
A lot of people were smart enough to see that this is coming miles away that anet want to bury the berserker meta into the ground and prepared more armor sets for this before the expansion. Some people didn’t I guess.
Well, I for my part didn’t play for a year, so I didn’t really have much chance to prepare myself for this. Still my fault I guess, but yeah.
Besides that, this is the laziest way to “kill” the berserker meta there is and it just turns the berserker into a condi-meta for fractals, which actually excludes a lot more people. Even more so now that we got to the point that both direct damage and condis are viable after the changes on them.
Just make more sets. When raids come out, condi, tanking, healing will have a role. Not a bad idea to start hoarding multiple gear sets. The druid is just more for general sustain on 90+ when agony in tight corridors prevent any sort of healing. It’s not needed but can make thing s a lot easier. I’ve seen druids carry people on 90+ just by keeping the team alive.
“Just make more sets”. lol
Sadly, this isn’t a thing easily done with time gates everywhere, nerfed rewards and higher ascended prices than before. Would be nice if it was, but alas it’s not.
So many posts about dungeons and has Anet even responded to us? I really hope they read these posts and realize people loved dungeons and still want to do them!!
Meh. If the community loved dungeons as much as you claim, they’d still be running them on a regular basis even with the decreased rewards.
Guess they really were more of a chore, after all.
Why do you would run content if you need gold/currency to progress towards a goal when said content doesn’t help you reaching that goal at all?
Most people want some new skins, gear or whatever else, it only makes sense to try to combine fun with rewards.Get your common sense out of here! This isnt the place for it!
I… I’m sorry
Never let the dreams die.
Useful things to take once you get past 80.
Full healing power druids: Sustain is very useful on some instances past 90
Full nomads tank/heal guard: Very useful for tanking certain encounters
Sini/Viper: Rangers, necros, engis very useful to take. Burn warriors and guards w ork very well too.Do not run berserker if you are playing a damage output role. If you run berserker past 80 get your head checked. Direct damage falls off so hard because of toughness scaling. Condi > berserker but I still see people asking for berserker only past 90. Berserker = almost kick worthy once you get past 80 or so.
Lmao
Yeah sure and full HP Druids and Nomad Guards are so useful in content where enemies hit like wet noodles and a offensively laid out necro with blood magic would already bring enough heal via lifeleech while still having some decent dps. Or, you know, water fields.
People still run berserker in 80+ because they do not have full ascended condi sets and/or don’t even have viable condi-builds on their class. A person equipped in full berserker will still help getting through a fight faster than a full hp druid or a nomad guard pfft. Of course, condis would be preferred, but yeah it’s unreasonable to expect everyone to have full sinister/viper sets when most people went with full berserker over the course of the years because it just worked. Besides, some classes would severely cripple themselves by changing their berserker gear to condi gear (or their wallet if they change back and forth)

By now everyone should know that time gates are ANets answer to everything when a nerf isn’t applicable. Sometimes it’s even both.
Where did he say it’s repeatable?
There are new dungeons coming out. They are just called raids since they are for 10 people instead of 5.
Dungeons don’t equal raids, they’re completely different things.

Welcome to the trashcan.
It mostly happens if you’re actually charging at the target. Use it in melee range/point blank for best results. The big hit usually connects for me, though.
The skill will land fewer hits the further away you are from the target. But the problem is different. half the time even in close range it either land 1 or 2 hits or it spins in place and do nothing.
Which is exactly what I meant, sorry if that wasn’t clear.
If you’re at point blank and use the skill, you’re less likely to encounter the issue of “interlocking” (for the lack of a better word) and missing the enemy despite being in front of them. I only ever have that issue if I charge at them from a distance.
Hmm… Seems to be one of those wonky achievements then.
I’ll give it a try later soloing and then report back, thanks for the info.

Anyone know if it’s bugged?
I had multiple runs where no one got hit by the Maw’s laser, not even at the end and the achievement never popped for us. Did someone get it yet?
My guess is that, if its bugged, absorbing the laser while having a crystal in your hand counts as hit and thus voids the achievement, but I’m not really sure.
You kittened up ANET. Just looked in the LFG “tool” and found NOBODY doing dungeons except a couple people / parties doing COF.
Way to go kittens!
You say they messed up, but from their point of view they actually succeeded.
Funny thing…
Also yes, you can run anything and probably clear. You can also use a book instead of a hammer to get a nail into the wall, but it’s horrible ineffective in comparison, so why do it?
If GW2 is as fun to you as hammering a nail into a wall, why play it? Or why not go hammer nails?
I’m not exactly sure what you want to say with that statement.
It’s a suggestion that your metaphor is inapt, that hammering nails and playing GW2 are somewhat different activities.
I’m quite aware that they’re different things. However from an efficiency standpoint, it works. If you run Nomads gear (for example), you’re basically doing what I described – Trying to get the nail into the wall in an awfully inefficient way and there’s no reason to do it when you have the proper tools right there. My metaphor might be bad, but the point behind it still stands.
Sure, fun is also a factor and even though I can’t understand how someone here would have fun in overly defensive gear so that you fall asleep, that’s probably a thing for some people I guess. Doesn’t make them of any more use to the group though.
They’re old. They’ve been introduced ages ago for fractals only, because the chance to get kitten armor was soooo high. So instead of letting you pick any part of one stat they made it so you can pick one stat out of multiple of the same category, but only that specific armor part.
Also, you technically still spend the same time in fractals for dailies (since you still have to run three fractals for a daily), so butchering the rewards when they’re meant to be improved (while also saying they move the dungeon rewards) is just inacceptable.
66% reduction per path. Somewhere around that. That’s only counting the daily reward. Arah simply got reduced by 66% from 3g to 1g, I’m not sure how’s it looking for 1.5g paths (AC, Arah 3) and 1g paths are 35s now.
Hype! Its forcing me to make this 15 characters long doe QQ
Ahh, I’m so nervous. OTL This is terrifying.
Pls your art is good.
Also, thanks for the drawing again!
Or be a full zerker and run blood + wells
And lose dps due to not taking spite. No thx.
…who says you’re dropping spite?
Also yes, you can run anything and probably clear. You can also use a book instead of a hammer to get a nail into the wall, but it’s horrible ineffective in comparison, so why do it?

Its prefered even on non Condi classes with current scaling.
Oh, really? Welp, that’s pretty sad.
Why sad? I’m all for more build variety. That’s what condition is designed for in the first place, armor ignoring damage for high toughness bosses. That said, lengthening the boss fight does not make it challenging so they need to fix it so that when using the most optimal gear, the fight should not take more time than it is before.
It’s sad because before you had conditions + direct damage which was viable. I’m going as far as saying that even gear with some passive defense had certain value if you were new/not good at the game to not immediately die if you mess up. Now it’s what? Damage is so low it tickles you even if you don’t run any passive defense and direct damage is horrible. It forces every class to run conditions, even if they’re bad at it, how does that push build variety? It KILLS every kind of build variety you could have.
Its prefered even on non Condi classes with current scaling.
Oh, really? Welp, that’s pretty sad.
To answer OP’s question
Because the gw2 community is delusional, mixes up speedrunning and Progression, and thinks that speedrunning is what everyone does in this game, there’s a very small speedrunning community, and endgame community overall (Two dozen decent PvP teams, on NA specifically, and less than a hundred “speedrunners”, i can bet on that.)
Progression actually isn’t a thing yet, and no, fractals 100 scaling isn’t progression, get with friends and you can do it easily.
See, i’ve never seen a community that literally does “dungeon” content which is known to be a usual joke in every MMO, which was abandoned by the developers two years ago and think they’re cool for doing something that’s “dead” content a few minutes faster than the other minority group doing it, and then design all of their builds around it and then instruct the people who have no interest in it to do the same.
(Newsflash, berserker isn’t the best stat-set for HoT, if you’re at all considering HoT content hard, even before raids, Swap to cavalier, clerics, rabid, dire, etc, and you’ll do better in every way, there’s very little difference in damage numbers for a player with game-sense who knows how to build with a cavalier/other stat set, and you’re getting a lot more out of the deal, not that damage numbers actually even matter at this point, before or after raids.)
You can literally run any build and with a general game-sense you can get by anywhere, And i’m serious, literally anything, Roll with a all-corruptions build or a full nomads tank guardian and you can probably do anything in the game with a pug group, it’s nonsensical that people even look at speedrunning for dead content to choose which build they run with randoms or organized guild/friend groups that will take them anyway if they’re good (Doing your builds/mathing it out to them yourself is better in their eyes anyway).
TL;DR
Stop reading forums and information about a topic unheard of in other MMO’s (speedrunning) that a small minority do, and the general player will never see, and then designing yourself around it and the words of a extreme minority, Build for yourself and you’ll go much farther in what you’re actually doing, if you’re doing something with friends or guildmates, just do it yourself.
Only thing I can really agree with is that people should look at their skillsets on their own since it helps adapting for each encounter, which is important.
Also yes, you can run anything and probably clear. You can also use a book instead of a hammer to get a nail into the wall, but it’s horrible ineffective in comparison, so why do it?
For pretty much the rest of the post, see attached image below.
Aye, and bers /sinister gear is even more imporant in fractals or u gonna fight bosses for centuries
![]()
For aNet harder = longer
Did you even play high scale fractals?
Bosses get insane toughness towards the end, crippling berserker damage and heavily favoring condition based damage, thus condi-gear is preferred as long as your class has a decent condition-build in the first place.
Haven’t played in 75-100 frac yet so not sure if that starts getting into a more defensive situation.
Not at all. You just wish you’d be running Viper/Sinister with a good condi class instead. lol
Even Lv100 Mai hits for much less than old 50 Mai. Damage of mobs, especially bosses, has been nerfed into oblivion for the most part.
Are you sure? Have you reached level 100? It is possible but sounds strange to me.
Yes I have reached Lv100 and besides some exceptions (which are mostly trash) everything hits like a wet noodle.
I haven’t done much fractal since HoT but from what I heard of the boss damage is even lower than 50 pre-HoT. And from experience in 50s they indeed became bigger hp-sponge. So I’d say just berserker. Or sinister.
Yes, I did fractals from 50 to 57 these days and I can confirm boss damage is lower and some mechanics are easier. However this is because they extended the maximum level: bosses health is now much, much higher which prevents you to burst everything in a few seconds and escape. You need to sustain longer fights and if this is true for level 50~60, higher tier will be even harder. Zerk, in my opinion, is not the way any more for (new) high level fractals (70+).
I always preferred condition builds and right now I deal damage pretty close to a zerk build. In fractals, which involve a lot of mechanics that makes you to move a lot, range damage (whether direct or condition) is preferred in many situations.
Even Lv100 Mai hits for much less than old 50 Mai. Damage of mobs, especially bosses, has been nerfed into oblivion for the most part.
Condition builds currently win on high scales because of the stupidly high toughness.
This has been patched, they’re account bound now and boxes on the TP are being sent back to their owners.
Yeah im kind of regretting not doing more fracs before HoT now. I was hoping the rewards would be better so i could gear my alts for raids with fractals after HoT released. With the assumption i would be more appropriately rewarded for my time.
Big mistake that was lol.
And if not that i was hoping dragonite would be abundant in the jungle so i could craft if i needed to. I assume it is if you do the world bosses (havent done these yet).
Dragonite needs to awarded in fracs. And did they nerf emp fragment reward in fracs as well by the way?
It certainly feels like you get much less emp frags from fractals. I think they just cut the droprates for everything with a huge axe and added tons of nothing to it in order to bloat the drop tables.
Ye, keep runing valk/cavalier, QQ later that ppl still thinks that necro is useless
Bers is the only way to go if u want to be compete with different classes.
How is a reaper running valk w/ almost capped crit chance any worse than berserker?
It still has just the same amount of Power/Crit DamageAlso the extra vit helps me facetank damage whilst rezzing zerker pug scrubs.
Assuming you mean capped while in shroud right?
No, you bump yourself to about 25% (a bit more) with your gear, then add the 50%~ from decimate defenses, then add party buffs like fury, banner and spotter.
Ye, keep runing valk/cavalier, QQ later that ppl still thinks that necro is useless
Bers is the only way to go if u want to be compete with different classes.
Too bad that Berserker mixed with Valk (not as much Cav) is actually pretty good and better in terms of stat points spent if you run with Decimate and proper party buffs to get 100% critchance.
In groups where you can’t expect this though you go Zerker, yes. Or if you’re just too lazy. lmao
Nononononono
Fractal enemies hit like a godkitten wet noodle right now and Necro/Reaper can keep himself alive even if they were to hit harder. Also you have four other people in your party.
Go full zerk or Viper armor+weapon with sinister trinkets if you want to run a Condi-based build. I honestly have no idea how good condi-dps on Reaper is as I haven’t tried it yet, but mobs in fractals get insane toughness, which condi damage obviously bypasses. //Oh right Valk-Berserker mix works too.
I don’t see enough people mentioning how good we are at destroying break bars which i find is very useful where meleeing is risky like Mossman or Mai Trin.
The fleshgolem alone absolutely annihilates it, and then we still have GS#4,5 and RS 2,3 and especially 5. Still need some more? RS4 in an icefield or slot spectral grasp and you can keep it down on your own most of the time.
I’m frankly not aware of another class that is as effective at it, engi is probably really good at it as well but haven’t seen any take advantage of their CC.
I think the only skill that goes through Mai Trin’s shield is Flesh Golem’s Charge (at least I have yet to see another skill do it) which almost completely wrecks her bar, making it easy to keep her inside electric fields to get rid of her shield.
Ok. Firstly play a revenant. I’m rather tired of the complaints because another PLAYER is better then you not a class.
For crying out loud double dodge UA, hop into reaper/death shroud. Drop a well.
Wait…..your a necromancer……you do realize revenant is extremely weak to every single condition don’t you? Do you not have a single poison to crush there heal? No way to cause chill or bleeding?
Don’t blame another class. I myself have played revenant, and I have played against them. They are new to the game, it truly is a learn to play issue.
Once you get past UA which is on a 12 second cooldown I see no reason why they are a true threat.
People generally prefer to cry for nerfs instead of improving themselves and trying to change strats.
I’m a trash PvPer who likes to try out stuff there and it just takes a bit to get used to Revenants. This applies to every elite spec too.
Not going to say that there’s no balancing required among all those new skills and synergies, because that’s certainly necessary, but wanting to nerf everything into oblivion is just… ugh.
It’s because this forum is particularly obsessed with melee grade DPS. For some reason necros have to be able to do it to. If you win a fight even though the math says you’ll lose. The math is no longer valid.
I don’t think the math has ever said Necros will lose a fight. It just says that another class might win the fight faster.
Another class or another Icebow?
http://gw2dungeons.net/Records
Here are the GW2 dungeon speed records. What do you notice about the class representations? Every single group has at least two Elementalists. I wonder why?
You know what else is interesting?
THERE IS NOT A SINGLE NEW RECORD POST ICEBOW NERF.
Funny that.
I suspect that the site is going to become very stale since its going to be hard work trying to top speeds done by groups generating 80k dps per Ele abusing exploits.the records were reset for the launch of Heart of thorns.
heart of thorns has been out for a very short amount of time.
the People that make records are busy playing the game and enjoying the new content and learning the new specs.
dont worry I am sure some will start popping up soon.
That being said, get yourself a group and put one up. Maybe stir up some competition. and maybe you will learn something along the way…
Actually there was over three weeks between the Icebow nerf and HoT launch. Its amazing how in that time no one bothered to try and up their times (or maybe they did try and gave up…).
How much do you want to bet that those old times will not be topped anytime soon? Shall we see in a few months?
Why would people go for new times if everyone knows they’re going to be reset in a few weeks?
If you do something like that, you want to stay there for as long as possible. It would’ve made no sense to put up a record run now.
Also, it’s amazing how people are still salty about ice bows.
Must be nice to be the only person that has.
Had two different pugs with chest drop. One got a Raider’s Top and another one a weapon box.
So yes they still drop but rates are ughhhh.
Most of the fractal fixes listed in the HoT-release patch notes never actually went through.
Also mobs in fractals have too much toughness please fix.
I think even Warframe, a game known as pure grindfest to many, had droprates openly available, at least for a certain timeframe.
Korean (and I think in some other countries too) companies are actually required to list drop rates by law, at least as long as it’s something which can be bought with real money, though that obviously wouldn’t even apply in our case.
There are devs who do that, but it’s far from being normal for them to do so.
GW2 is available for purchase in Korea, right? So this law should apply, no?
Even if it would, it would only apply to gambling-items bought with real money (i.e. basically only dye kits and black lion keys) and on top of that they’d only be required to put out the drop rates for Korea, which means they could very well be different from ours.

Immob is really good at stripping it. Same for fear.
Yep.
Necro’s CttB, Executioner’s Scythe, Grasping Darkness and especially Flesh Golem’s Charge burn through breakbars like crazy too. If fear really takes about 10% per second, Grasping Darkness and Executioner’s should remove about 40-45% each, though I can only guess here. Flesh Golem is capable of removing 80%+ from a target, to the point where I actually was able to fully break the bar with a single charge on certain enemies.
The chart in your link is outdated.
You can check the Fractals of the Mists-Wiki page and go to the list of scales + their island, the AR required is listed next to them.
