With Riverside , Abaddon’s Mouth, Elona Reach and Drakkar Lake ranking 10-13 and Miller’s Sound ranking 17 i am a little worried.
Gunnars hold gets matched up a lot of times with the national servers but we usually give them a good spanking. Most of them blob tho but their roamers aren’t really that good.
How is it every one here is complaining about new stability changes while my guild goes out every night and continues to wipe bigger numbers. If anything the new stability changes are welcomed and make things more fun, and frankly people don’t know how to adapt. Everyone wants to press stability and walk through a melee bomb without a scratch. Hit the sides, go in go out, don’t expect to get away with your kittenty style of play anymore because you WILL get punished for it.
Psst, they dont want to adapt and just running through big blobs with stability on spamming 11111111.
Funny though, people complained about hammer trains rushing through everything and they said its all fine. Now they will get affected by CC they have access too and now its a problem. Hypocrits.

Aha thats why I noticed so many golems on the enemy servers yesterday. Could be because of the exploit.
I never had much love for these golems so I dont mind if they are deactivated for 2 years.

I do upgrade/scout/siege/roam and stuff even tho its a gold sink – its a virtual currency anyway so who cares. And as reward i get to see zergs dying on my upgraded stuff. This dog doesnt need treats ( read lousy blues and greens ) to stay happy.

Really, what is the point of having tournaments in the first place? Winning to get a fancy skin? The only winners are Anet cause of transfers to the winning server creating more server imbalances. Bandwagon away!
Main reason why people complain about ranger is because they used to be USELESS in all aspects of game for a period of time after Anet nerfed SB, quickness, spirits, pets and so on. They are also completely useless in zerg fight before the LB buff. Now they suddenly become a threat to unorganized group, people who usually treat ranger as a free bag and useless wet noodle suddenly have to deal with ranger, so they’re enraged and start complaining about ranger being OP, because they want ranger to be as useless as it once was.
Amen. Tip: When fighting a lb ranger – use terrain / LoS and roll one yourself to see their weak spots ( condi removal hello? )
I run the lynx just because what u wrote down – also the F2 has a nice leap so it will hit moving targets better. As second pet its the wolf – cause of the fear/knockdown/cripple.
Its annoying indeed and makes the pet close to useless at all.
Think this was their golden opportunity to remove rewards too with the wvw completion. Afterall you get a transmute charge with a chance of a BL key which are sold on the TP. Kinda like the “keyfarm nerf”.

Aha thought i was going crazy but yea, if put on passive it still attacks. I always have it on passive in WvW so it doesnt die instantly in aoe bomb.
Had this problem too, download stuck on 3% left with like 0-1kbs but apearantly i just had to wait for quite some time to finish it, and im from dutchland.
Guild chat is not working. Asked several people of different guilds, all same problem.
Random shouts. Roam around and you will hear stuff like SHAKE IT OFF. AGONY TORMENT PAAAIN and so on.
Edit: Now whispers seems to be bugging out as well.

I get whispered quite often after i beat someone, the rage a single spacebar generate is quite strong. (especially if its a thief you beat as a ranger)
On the other hand i often whisper friendemies when we had a nice spontanious “duel” somewhere, even when they beat me. But yea some can be very rude and i usually put those on block, or ill just have them let a go and at some point ill ask "done with the whines sir? "
Finally, a map that actually looks fun and gives more incentive to divide and conquer instead of blobVblob.
Exactly, I honestly cant wait to play it and see if all these theories in this and other threads will work out.
I’ll be back with my complaints/rants or not at all when this stuff goes live and i have played it myself. Every server fights differently.

I’m fine with this if Anet also removes the Power of the Mists bonuses for everyone who doesn’t participate in WvW.
(Maximum examples given)
+20% chance of a critical crafting success
+10% Defense against monsters
+10% Endurance regeneration
+20% Chance of additional mining/harvesting/logging node uses
+10% Healing Effectiveness
+10% Maximum health
+10% Bonus coin per kill
+10% Experience per killI so no reason at this point that the WvW players should be supporting the PvE’ers if the PvE players can’t be bothered to support the WvW’ers who earn these bonuses for them with the occasional foray into WvW.
Granted, some of you many not think these bonuses are worthwhile and I’ve provided the maximum examples (some servers earn lower rewards based on their score), but that’s how I feel.
Also, I completely agree that it’s time to give the WvW’ers some really nice incentives (skins, buffs, something!). Perhaps some quantity of the old WvW Tournament Tickets could be given out weekly for wvw participation and they could be used on the existing rewards which require those tickets and newer neat things could be added. (LET US BUY DUNGEON TOKENS WITH BADGES OR TOURNIE TICKETS PLEASE!)
I completely agree with this. WvW players basicly boosting the PvE players loot but they do not want to participate to get the buffs further up.
The Ranger CDI had some direct results as well.

You want rewards? I bet 1 hour pve loot is equal to 8hrs of wvw. I defend most of the time and the best reward is to see the zerg wipe trying to get something of us.
Just have some roamers to call out zergs whenever they see them. Also watch map to see if anything gets flipped. Even a sentry flag that moves on my minimap will tell whenever people are aggro them.
I think GW2 needs a new PvP format – naked mud wrestling.
Or a big flat square map with no elevation or LoS – Naked people all with 1hp and a stick to hit eachother.

I cant wait till we get a new map. Will be refreshing after the same ole borderland we have for ages. Lets just wait and see how it plays out? Cause according to all these threads there is no room for roamers – no room for open field fights or room for zerg vs zerg and you havent set a single foot on it to see how the playerbase will play it? Jeeze i can understand why Anet does not reply that much cause really nothing is ok.
WvW achievements should be easier to acquire; however, they shouldn’t be too easy. The best case I can make is how easy it is to acquire Dragon in PvP as well as the achievements that go with them.
Indeed they should not be to easy. But most are nearly impossible to reach, unless you focus one of them 24/7 for a couple of years.
100 supplies in a camp takes 5minutes to fully “respawn”. 400supplies from eotm takes 3 hours – IF they “win” it is. Dont see this as a problem tbh. 4 supply traps or a clever treb poison will completely wash away those supplies from people.
So, you havent set a single foot on the map and already a doom scenario. Honestly i can not wait for a new map to fight on even when its all about siege etc. Let’s see how it plays out and then judge and whine and moan?
Personally i find it way more satisfying to see someone doing alt f4 or whatnot to avoid the stomp. The loot isnt that awesome anyway.
It is so funny to me, how people already know the impact of those changes. They seem to have a pretty good insight into all the changes of HoT. Can I get in on those information too? Also, where is the HoT build creator, so we can update metabattle.com with the new meta builds…
You guys are funny. Instead of complaining about things you know absolutely nothing about (unless you really know all the changes of HoT), you should wait and see. This goes beyond speculation, as some ppl seem to already call the game being ruined. (but what am I saying, WvW is dead for 2 years now, according to some of the loudest outcries in that forum here)
Also the lack of fantasy as to how we can adapt in WvW meta stuns me (get it? It “stuns” me^^). There are so many ways, of facing the changed meta. Did you guys ever think of stopping to stack all on commander tag and instead of developing other tactics? Blanked CCing to strip stab stacks won’t be possible on the whole army, if you stop stacking…

Put scout on every camp tower keep. When enemy zerg gets to X location scout tags up – ports people in – profit.
Keep gets flipped? Hide inside wait 5min open tag portal people in – profit.
This idea is even worse then the siege ladders people came up with.
An “open/consume/use” all function would be more then welcome. Saves people from RSI and destroying their mouse. I just dont understand why a game of this size and popularity doesnt have this kind of things implemented.
Then remove WvW areas from map completion requirements. Problem solved.
Or how about adjust the queue system to prioritize by rank. Rank 500+, you automatically bump to top of queue. Rank 1 guy looking to just map complete WvW, well they will have to wait behind people that clearly are interested in doing WvW competitively.
I honestly feel that the higher ranked players should start getting some added benefit for their time spent in WvW. Having queue priority would be a nice perk and it would reduce the number of PvEers in the map. You couldn’t eliminate it entirely as once someone joined, they couldn’t be kicked out, but at least you know that if you are a true WvWer that when you queue you will bypass all of the PvEers working on map complete.
Then of course there is the “passive mode” option (got the idea from GTA5 Online). You flag yourself as “passive”, you become semi-transparent, cannot capture any points, cannot attack players, cannot be attacked, cannot use chat functions, but you can collect POIs, skill points, and vistas. If your side doesn’t have a tower, you will still have to wait until it is flipped. This mode would not count toward the population total of each server.
So a dude that grinds himself 10k ranks in eotm should have the priority on a queue over those that actually play the real wvw. No thanks. Wvw completion can be a drag but if you are patient or social enough to ask for some help it is no biggy at all. As i said in my first reply, idm to help those ppl out.
I am not a person to do jump puzzles but i wont say i “hate” them. Ok what a dislike about certain puzzles is where you have to do a very precise jump, if miss your dead and have to start all over again. Not really my thing but i can see why people like it etc.

I dont mind to help people out to get their wvw map completed. Only if there isnt a big blob attacking my stuff. I’d simply point out why “we” cant help them during that point.

You are more then welcome to roam on Gunnars Hold. You only get zerged around primetime but thats obvious, outside those hours its good fun and occasionaly you get ppl whispering you to do a duel or 2.

You should try stopping the 30+ enemy zerg with just a couple of necros and ACs. It’s priceless
It will barely work against really big zerg since they got airship strike and disablers and can afford building counter ac, so you need people to keep them busy while they melt. Nerco fear works in few spots and easily countered by stab and aegis, not to mention pro eotm sfr roamers which won’t let you stand at one spot for long.
Ever met green commander who won’t let you do anything on the map like he get precursor from every kill? When you get to play outnumbered side you have to give a fight sometimes cause otherwise you will get rekt again and again.
Fair enough. In my experience most zergs just swap targets though after you’ve wiped their first assault. Especially effective if the zerg is coming via the bridge to the towers.
the oil and few sup acs will wipe 75% of them eotm zergs. Priceless to see idd.
Can’t see the problem. Just make certain “dead” areas in this game duel spots. Give us an option to auto decline duel invites so you wont even notice someone trying to duel you. And when people start to troll and flame ( something they would do on other stuff already) simply use your block/ignore button. People who dont like to duel wont have to simple as that.
I for one would like to duel my guildies and custom arenas are not the answer to that cause i mainy play WvW with them and the builds in Spvp are very restricted.
