Maybe the atmosphere here towards the devs would be less hostile if they listened to us what we have been asking for almost 2 years?

We, the WvW players getting ignored most of the time so yea, toxic atmosphere is something you can expect then as were are still customers buying gems etc.
823 ranks and 2 weapon chests and couple of rings so far, all on my main.
I guess we all seen it happen by now, guild claims an objective and not doing anything with it ( no upgrades/sieges/buffs etc)
If there was a decay timer like on siege the guild has to refresh say every 3-4hours and if said guild does not refresh it, they will lose the claim and give other guilds with buffs active the opportunity to claim it and activate the buffs.

How to add basic features in this game like:
- Lock on chatchannels, so you dont accidently click them away.
- Open/consume/craft all function on essence of luck/ Karma jugs/ MF crafts/ bags.
-Buy X amount of goodies from vendors, like siegebooks and traps.
I really love this game but this kind of stuff is missing and that is quite lame if you ask me, its 2014 and some quality of life features are around in almost any other game, why not here?
I am almost about to use an autoclicker which is probably not allowed but spamclick in this game forces me to it just to save my poor mouse and finger.
Devs, go play your own game for a while and you may get what i and many of my friends are talking about.

Should have used transfer option before the tournament to join the most stacked server – Arena Net logic.
It’s bugged, sometimes it show red 30points, green 40 and blue 30.
Could use a hotfix as its in the middle of the tourney.
As a guard I kinda feel that I’m one of the answers to your dilemma. Stability for the win.
If there were less CC there’d be less of a need for stability. If you could only be CC’d once then you were safe for a while, then what’s the point of stability? just eat the CC, stun break, and continue on.
With the counters they’ve given to CC’s they can’t really put in DR and have it remain balanced, it’d simply screw too many things up.
thiagoperneCC diminishing return is much viable in pvp games that doesn’t have a system like stability and lots of break-stuns, which is not the case of gw2.
That sums it up. Yes some kind of DR is needed, IF the game doesn’t have other answers to heavy CC, which GW2 has, so…
I came from DCUO, they had a DR system in that game, it worked because there was a TON of CC but no stability, and your one answer (block) was actually a bad choice as it’d open you to punishment of other kinds. It’s a viable idea, it works in other games, but those other games don’t have stability, condition removal, and dodges.
I actually prefer this system as at least in DCUO the DR system was pretty inconsistent which was one of the big complaints. In the GW2 system there are counters for everything but they are known. CC coming, have stability up or possibly dodge. If hit with CC stun break or remove conditions. Want to CC, if they have stability you’ll have to strip it or wait it out. I think it’s a nice system that makes sense and is pretty clear.
Try to use all your stability and condi removals as ranger and say that again, not every class has so much access to that as a guardian.
This is quite an old bug and still need to be adressed/fixed yea. Don’t hold your breath tho, you may choke.

Not sure about the builds, can’t help you on that but with the acheivements you just have to complete 15 of them to get the meta done.

I read all the replies on this thread, and all the people that are against diminishing returns posted this:
- From all the 343 different foods in the game you MUST use Bowl of Lemongrass Poultry Soup
- From all the different 63 rune sets in the game you MUST use Superior Runes of Melandru
- If you are roaming, you MUST bring 2 guardians alongside you, or you deserve to be stunlocked to death.

They are most likely against it because they love to spam their cc to the fullest duratiion without getting a penalty, add DR and people will think twice about popping their cd, therefore more skillplay.
Seems to be an increase of lag since patch 15th april, i do know a lot more people on my server having the same issue.

Stability does not work to avoid immobilize mr smartpants.
Its a condition, not a crowd control though it should be treated like it , as it kinda takes control over ya ( cant move )
Disable hard ressing while in combat.
Remove or at least reduce damage to gates of tier 3 structures.

Awsome idea! This way we, wvw players, can get some AP to reach the chests etc just by playing the game mode we so adore. Like PvE players love to grind the living story crap.
This idea and the one with tomes of knowledge for badges are incredible good!
hopefully 1996 will call anet to tell them how to make a consume/open all function on karma / essences and drinks etc.
Oh and a craft xx items in MF would be nice too aswell a lock function on chat channels so you dont accidently click 1 away.

People which are against DR in this case here have absolutely no clues, about what they are talking.
They see the “problem” and yes its a massive problem here only out of their own personal view as players who have massive access to these hard cc’s and its natural that they start to defend that gameplay now, because they are fearing, that Anet could see this case in the same way, like us who want cc’s to be tone down and nerf the **** out of cc’s, so that they can’t be anymore those wannabe super godlike “skillful” cough pro’s that can win agaist players, that had from second 1 to their death absolutely 0 chance to do anything !!Thats not skill pults, its toally pitiful to say, that something like this crap has anything to do with “skill”. It makes me laugh over everybody, who says, that this is skillful to abuse a bad cheap game mechanic that is terribly balanced, if you want to speak of any balance here at all to be able to win agaisnt someone, who had never a chance to fight back, cause of being unable to move, unable to use skills andunable to make a dodge roll, while lieign on the ground flat…
Heck, even while lieing on the ground I should be still able to make at least a kittening dodge roll to the sides to be able to kittenign escape that perma catching cc’s perhaps.The game has way too much CC’s Immobilize belongs completely removed out of the game. Knockdown and Stun are more than enough as hard. As Soft CC’s are also Cripple and Chill more than enough, Fear is OP and obsolete and should get its effect changed.
GW1 also hadnt so extreme much CC’s and also had only Knockdowns and Stuns basically and it played out that way very well and felt not too much, nor too less, it was exactly right.
Just give those Classes that lose Fear more access to Cripple&Chill and those that lose immobilize more access to Stun/Daze and everythign would be alot better for the beginning.
Reduce then slightly the durations of the hard and soft CC’s, remove all Buff items from WvW finally as a counterweight for that change and add DR to hard CC’s and then we could start to speak of balance and skillful playing, when getting perma hard CCed isn’t possible anymore.
Its a bad JOKE to tell someone, who doesn’t want to get perma knockdowned, that he has to use specific Buff Food and waste all of his Rune Slots for a specific Rune Set first, only to be not eating permanently the grounds dust!!
As said, if Anet should never put DR to hard CC’s, I demand the removal of DR from Stealth, because that was an effective counterplay to avoid being hit by hard CCs, when the foe can’t see and target you, that was of the same cheesy and “skillful” level, as like perma spamming hard cc’s is >.>
Seriously people, get real finally and stop trying to block needed game changes, only because they would mean some nerfs to some classes.
Nerfs are important to balance the whole game and not just only single classes.
CC’s affect ALL CLASSES and not just only those that are able to spam CC’s like crazy…
And alot of the Classes have nearly no to absolutely no good access to condition remove or stun breakers so oftenly, as like the other side is able to spam the CC’s.if we in the defense would be able to spam as much cleanses and stunbreakers, like the other side is able to spam CC’s, then we wouldn’t have this “problem” at all, because then the game would be on a 50/50 balance, but this is here simply not the case.
Tjhe game is more like currently in a 10/90 relation, where you get on every condi clean /stunbreaker 9 hard CC’s spammed instantly in your face with the follow, that you like dead on the ground, cause the only classes, that are able to mitigate all those 9 spammed CC’s over the course of time, are the soldier classes, that are also able to spam them together so much, cause they have enough ways to block long enough attacks together with the dodge rolls, which simple most other classes have NOT.Open your eyes and see this issue out of the view for once of all classes and not just only out of the view from the source of the problem, which are here warrios and guardians in most cases, followed by Thieves and Necromancers with their Stuns and Fears.
The biggest problem are Warriors and Guardians here as they together can just spam too often Knockdowns in a Zerg/Group.
But Warriors are in my opinion anyways in a general way to overpowered with their way too high mobility and Anets total most loved class, that may not get any scratchs on >.> But thats an other topic.

CCs need to receive finalyl some kind of cooldown, so that you can#t get instantly stunned/knockdowned/dazed again.
Just like Reveal forbids a class that can go into Stealth to use it instantly again, there should players get for like 8 seconds Defiant after being CC’ed so that you can’t get spamm CC’ed in a matter of seconds to death.CC’s are a strong tactical feature and they should be used VERY WISELY, not get cheesely perma spammed, what makes just the whole game completely unfun and lame.
This way Hammers warriors wouldn’t be able to basically perma knockdown you to death, or a bunch of necros wouldn’t be able to perma fear you away or a bun of thiefs wouldn#t be able tp perma stun you.
Thats something that needs finayl to get fixed and balance and runes/buff items are there absoklutely 0 help against, because the other side just needs to increase as compensation only the amount of players, that CC’s you to keep you perma CC’ed for the case that their victim uses something, that reduces the CC durations, because theres no mechanic,m that protects the victim from getting instantly CC’ed again, once the initial CC effect duration is over…
Hoever, Stealth has that kind of anti-effect that prevents players from instantly using stealth again.
So why make with CC’s not the same?If people insist now, that with CC’s should not be made the same to balance that gameplay, then I demand as a thief player the removal of that bullcrap of the reveal mechanic…

This game could use some DR idd. Yes we have dodge/stunbreakers etc but other pvp games have similar effects to that, hell even healers who could get rid of CC on other people, yet they had diminishing return, kinda kittened how people can throw all their CC on top of eachother for fullest duration. Games should provide fun and being locked in 1 place for 10seconds is anything but that.

to me MF is a lie, got 112% and getting better drops then people i know who have least the double MF. Isnt the cap 300%?
Since just before the tournament began I’ve not really had much time to play GW2; and when I do play it’s in WvW.
We are 2 weeks in now and I’ve already got 8/10 achievements with 5 more almost done! And I’ve hardly spent that much time in the game in the last 2 weeks!
What is the point in having a 10 week tournament if the achievements can be done in one by dedicated WvW Players?!
Sure it’s great to get rid of the PvE AP players, but then wouldnt it be better to make more of the achievements harder to get so that they must play at least half the season and have to contribute to WvW instead of just zerging. Though to be honest I think if that happened the PvE players would just zerg for 5 weeks instead.But seriously, more thought and effort needs to be put into WvW!
Im very happy the achievements are kitten easy, that way the AP pve’rs can get them quickly and wont be causing queues for the real wvwers, also no repair acheivement to keep the noobs away draining keep supplies. All in all a BIG plus in my opinion.
I’ve been of the opinion for some time that immobilize, and likely stuns, should be followed by a brief period of immunity from that condition. Not a lot, but some sort of cool down to prevent these absurd chains.
This^ Its absurd you succesfully cleanse the immobilize and 0.5sec later it simply reapplies leaving you in the same state as before. kittened imo.
It used to not stacking till one clever guy at Anet thought its a great idea to make them stack, so they did sadly. In my opinion it should count as a crowd control instead of a condition so you can use stunbreakers/stability to avoid being stuck in same spot for 10sec or even more.
Only a WvW player thinks bug fixing is an ancient myth.

And how would you know its a pre cursor drop if you havent looted it?
Play for the fights not the rewards and if you do, go pve, much better quality drops.

So many people actually wants to get rid of this bad mechanic, including me.
Its just stupid to see 80+ people banging their way into tier3 structures with their heads once siege has been countered, I dont mind players able to tag a keep making it contested, its a valid tactic imo.
Removing waypoints only makes the maps even more blobby, no time to defend at all then. My guess it OP karmatrain gets wrecked pushing into a keep and watch the defenders take the WP when its uncontested 2-3 sec every 3min and actually have to fight other players to get the rewards.
half week, and i’m 9/10 already, although i’m playing it casually.
i believe many people have completed the meta already. the requirement is lesser this season, so it won’t take long.
I am also on 9/10 playing casually and really glad its so easy/fast to do so AP hunter can kitten off faster leaving the wvw up to the real players.
Max out Supply Capacity, will keep you sweet for 300 ranks so you can carry +5 more supps with ya to PvD more in EOTM.

Rangers already have a big advantage in PvP with pets when it comes to the Downed mechanic. If you want to make pets stronger against AoE (which I don’t think is needed either), make sure to give players a way to counter Rangers when downed.
There are loads of way to counter downed rangers, simply CC pet like fear/knockback/down etc, and simply stomp them.

But as Anet has said before. Kill the players if the lord got bannered it is because you did not kill all the defenders. The door treb is already supposed to be nerfed. I for one do not want all of wvw to be a big karma train.
Learn to kill the defenders first or no rewards for you.
Exactly, on top of that thanks to that ress mechanic fights lasts longer then 1minute.
Pull the lord to a corner and kill it there and get everyone able to ress it away from it.
If I were to add more to the Outnumbered buff, it would probably be to make swords instantly pop when a site is attacked rather than waiting 30 seconds to give the Outnumbered side some extra time to respond.
Sounds like an indicator for the wolrds thats attacking, “Oh instant swords, were fine for now keep ramming!”.
Bug fixing and dealing with hackers is a huuuuuuuuuuge improvement if you ask me and lots of other people, sadly nothing happend or will happen.
Spies can be on TS aswell giving out information and stuff. If you dont want to be in party with them, simply decline it.
Personally i dont mind talking with enemies about the fight we just had etc. And really love those people out there raging at others, silly kids.
I really dont mind to pay a monthly fee to a game as long some stuff happens:
- Bug fixing.
- Dealing with cheaters and hackers.
- Showing love to ALL game modes, including WvW.
All of these arent happening with Anet so if they add a monthly fee and this kitten still going on, i would simply not paying for it.
If the devs have time to add an annoying bobbing head to characters for April Fools, they have the time to fix bugs which have been in WvW for over 18 months!
If your code is organized properly, doing something like increasing your head size takes exactly 2 keystrokes.

It’s very depressing that out the outset of Season 2, no matter how hard we fight or the effort an individual puts in, they simply have no hope of getting a Mistforged Weapon this season. Meanwhile, someone that transferred to a server will a sure shot at placing even 3rd or 4th and puts in the minimum work for the Meta gets a guaranteed 300+ tickets.
If it makes you feel any better, the free transfers to high-ranked servers have ruined the fun for people already on those servers too. Gandara’s queues have gone from 60/20/0/0 to 200/150/150/150. GG Anet.

It is already a lot easier to defend than it is to attack. That said, the reason people don’t play defense is because of one thing, it is boring.
Ha. We pushed off about 5 assaults from IoJ (on their bl) at hills earlier this evening. They had 40 to 60 for almost everyone. FA even crashed the party a few times with around 40 of their own.
We probably had around 30 to 40.
I can tell you one thing….It sure the hell wasn’t boring. Maybe the pvd k-train is exciting to you, but attacking keeps that are being defended, and defending keeps, is probably the most fun I have in WvW. It is so much better than open field fighting, where you just run into each other, spam 1, and see who is the last one standing.
Attacking keeps that are being defended, and defending keeps, actually takes strategy. 1 mistake can cost you the whole kitten operation. Supply plays a factor in it as well. It sure isn’t boring.

Some people may think defending is boring as kitten but i have the greatest times upgrading/ pre sieging keeps and once under attack i enjoy the view of all people willing to come help defend using all the siege and killing them, or losing it but giving everything we can to defend. Banners, suicide contest runs, guerilla attacks.
All in all lots more fun then PvD or open field fights but on the other hand not as rewarding and PvD, but i play for the fun and not for the rewards, if i did i would play PvE lol
Rangers hands down the best. Because everyone expects you to be so horrible that even a sliver of skill will kill them due to their own arrogance.
