iirc, most of the things added to <span class='FO_hovarable_search_text'><span class='FO_FirstWord'>WvW</span></span> since launch were things players wanted (or thought they wanted), and that includes the DBL itself.

No, the playerbase specifically stated that EotM was the most wrong way to do a <span class='FO_hovarable_search_text'><span class='FO_FirstWord'>WvW</span></span> map that could possibly be conceived. As far as I know, we still haven’t had an explanation as to why the developers thought it was a good idea to have narrow walkways and cliffs everywhere. As such we’ll never know if they’ve got the right mindset to create maps that the <span class='FO_hovarable_search_text'><span class='FO_FirstWord'>WvW</span></span> players will like.

They don’t listen, they never have by and large. They communicate stuff but ignore ost feedback.

Oh they do listen to our complaints and do exactly the opposite of what we suggest. Ghost teef exploiting? Lets buff them until a pver solos a raid boss, then it gets nerfed. Stuff like that.

Pewpew beambeam drood. Mostly roaming so i take the loaves of saffron bread with me to have some chance to deal with condi clowns. Oh and sharpening stones.

That moment it rained bodies at south hills stairs and you see 1 single warrior laughing on top. Think it was done with a fall dmg trait but was hilarious.

Sometimes i have this feeling anet does read our complaints, and do exactly the opposite of what we suggest. “Condis too strong nerf; Ok lets buff them.”

Yeah ANet has really made a lot of good changes to the map, hay bales are another really good addition that lets you get down off the cliffs easier. The new launch pads for getting around the shrines are great, the changes to earth keep removing many of the outer barriers and AoE cripple was good.

The only 2 things I can really complain about desert Borderlands now is:
1. The towers/keeps are too spread out offering not a lot of strategy to having them.
2. It is far too big a map so even with large numbers of players it still feels a little too empty.

The third and biggest issue with DBL is that it doesn’t lend itself to zerg vs zerg encounters. It’s even worse when ZvZ happens at the lord’s room.

DBL is great for roamers, havoc, ktrain but not open field ZvZ fights because there’s so little open spaces for most of the map, especially around the keeps.

And heaps of hills and stairs when a significant amount of skills in this game don’t work properly on it.

I have more obstructed on abl flat terrain then the wobbly terrain dbl has.

You can get 3 slots in total on rings, one doesnt even require to play fractals. Just hop in, buy an item and throw it in the toilet with some other stuff.

Remarkable they state it “should”, as if it isn’t a guarantee it’s easier to interact with.

I’m using my slots solely for fractals AR infusions. However to get 1 extra slot is quite cheap, all you need is like 50silver and you are set.

With one caveat… I love “The Wall”. Yes, technically it’s a vista but it feels really “jumpy”

It’s actually a jump puzzle as there is an achievement for it, under the jump puzzle section. But no chest afaik.

Server linking has mostly killed all the decent communities. All that’s left is toxic bandwagon servers, and they’re not really a community at all. We’ve tried again and again to rebuild, only to have a bad link or a few weeks of ridiculous blowout matchups tear it all down each time.

There’s nothing the players can do about this. It’s all on Anet, but apparently locking threads is all the effort they’re willing to muster. A little PR could go a long way here, because the way things look right now, they’re intentionally driving players away.

Pretty much this. If they link servers 3 times trying to build up a community, just to see it get whacked with a relink isn’t really good.

Friends using these in puzzles if their head gets stuck in a wall or whatever. Pretty helpful they say.

do 20 days of dailies to get the potions. Before hopping in wvw go guild halls tavern to pick up the booster. It’s really easy to get and probly 0.2% of your total grind to a legendary.

I don’t mean this is a nasty way, but Rayya, you and all your server-hopping pals are the reason WvW never gets balanced.

Anet have stated before that the system takes time to work. When people transfer servers en masse you mess up the algorithm. It’s Anet’s fault really, they shouldn’t allow transfers at any time, there should be specific time windows to do transferring.

Roll druid with a staff/lbow smokescale/wolf setup. It’s not a guaranteed combi to win every fight with a daredevil but you surely going to annoy them.

Purely crafting you are looking anything from 250-350g (so 9-10sets) but there’s ways to reduce the cost like with doing fractals and getting the pages and crafting the mark for about 15g.

There’s also the aspect of being able to stat swap so you could craft a few sets of armour and stat swap them when you settle on a new build that you test with exotics first. The difference between exotic and ascended is a couple of percent, less than 5 I know but not the exact figure, either way it won’t make a big difference in WvW. When you factor that in how much exotic/ascended armour and rune combos could you try with 2-3k gold?

Kinda awkward one puzzle has rthe disabled glide icon showing, and others not. Inconsistency as always from anet.

Gliding is only disabled in areas where it would trivialise the puzzle.

For example for most of Morgan’s Spiral gliding won’t help you so it doesn’t matter if it’s enabled, but when you get into Dark Reverie you could glide from the upper entrance to almost the end, so gliding is disabled.

It’s common sense really.

No it isn’t, actually there are some puzzles you can skip half of it easily with gliding. Where as there are puzzles where gliding is disabled but you cannot have an advantage anyway.

Not really. All he asks for is to change ikea siege into superiors, which are already ingame and heavily used.

Works for me most of the times, just ask gently instead of being a bully.

Add flax fibers to a reward tracks, they’re the main source for all our upgrades and non existant in wvw. Unless you are VERY lucky to get it from a synthesizer.

Simply ask in mapchat if people can refresh siege at other keeps/towers.
