Everyone can get 99% of the materials required for a Legendary.
Are you seriously telling me Anet are stupid enough to let the exclusiveness of a Legendary all rest on the Precursor? Really? REALLY?!

Strawman-argument; the last resort of the ignorant. Have you really nothing else to say, Esplen? There’s no defending the current Precursor system, and you just proved it.
I provided a direct quote from Anet that Legendaries are a long time achievement. What more is needed?
There is no need to defend the current system, just because some people feel they should get an easy legendary.
You decide if you are willing to put the effort into a legendary. If you aren’t that is your choice.@iehova you will also get the gold necessary to either play the forge lottery or simply buy one eventually as well.
Why are you under the impression that making the Precursor easier to get would make Legendaries easier to get, so easy in fact, that everyone would have one? Do you even know how a Legendary is made?
Do you even lift, bro?
Except that the D/D build in question puts out no damage.
The ONLY thing a D/D ele has that makes people mad is RTL, and it’s because it’s a ridiculously good escape for when things are going south. Not a single other aspect of a D/D ele, in a bunker build, cannot be replicated by another class.
If Eles didn’t have RTL, there would be zero complaints about the class.
I assume you mean “burst” when you say “damage”. It doesn’t matter really matter; you win by attrition. You zip in and out, switching between attunements to heal/cc or do damage. You will win, eventually. Especially against a class like Warrior who can’t disengage.

You do realize the complexity involved in Quaggan speech patterns right?
Do you even lift, bro?
Gold should never have been the deciding factor in leading people in WvW
Exactly. I kinda see where they were going with it though; Guilds pooling their Gold to elect a Commander. Or somesuch. It just didn’t work out because individual players were able to buy it as a vanity item.

D/D has it all
Damage, control, tank, healing, and tons of escape/engage abilities.
And if you get downed, by some miracle, you just Vapour Form back to your own zerg or into a keep. kittenol.
It reminds me of Bright Wizards in WAR; another game where casters are (or were, I guess) totally overpowered in melee.
You’re either ignorant or have serious l2p issues.
For some reason people in this game assume each and every D/D ele they run across uses the very same build they stigmatized as “D/D bunker”. Problem is, that’s not reality.
People run into a 0/10/0/30/30, full PVT + clerics D/D Ele. That guy can take alot of punishment (his damage output is pathetic tho), and escapes 5 people chasing him. -> “OMG D/D SO TANKY!”
Then people run into a D/D that uses 0/20/0/20/30 or w/e, lots of knights/valkyries, maybe even some zerker in there. That guy delivers quite some burst and DPS -> “OMG D/D SO MUCH DAMAGE!”.
And then they come to the following conclusion: “OMG D/D SO TANKY & D/D SO MUCH DAMAGE!”. This is nonsense tho, because basically, these have been 2 different builds.
Except that there’s like five people max who abuse the crap out of D/D and do all those things with their characters. When you encounter them a lot, eventually you start recognizing their armour and guild.
So.
Yeah.

You guys just don’t get it, do you? I think the point he is trying to make is that the Krytans in GW2 do not look like the Krytans in GW1?

Remove everyone’s Commander tag.
Refund them the 100g.
Add a proper system where Commander is something that must actually be earned through proper WvW.
Do you even lift, bro?
Actually, I’d keep Shake It Off. Soldier Runes makes it totally awesome. 2 Conditions removed from yourself and everyone around you? Yes please.

The Krayt are evil. They deserve to be wiped out.
“Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends.” – Gandalf
Don’t you pull that one on us. The Krait deserve nothing but death. Just ask any Quaggan anywhere.
Foo.

They need a totally new way to obtain the Precursors, plain and simple.
Mystic Toilet. End-game Chests. Trading Post.
3 methods. 3 choices.
/thread
I’ve said it before: three equally horrible way does not somehow validate each other. The Precursor is the only thing when it comes to Legendaries that leaves you truly at the mercy of the RNG. You do not work towards a Precursor the same way you work towards the Gifts and misc. stuff. You luck out with a Precursor. You could sit on all the materials, which you have worked long and hard for, but not having the Precursor because the RNG gods do not favour you.
This is bad design.

Soldier Runes have the same stats as Dolyak (if you like it as much as you say) but a way better 6th bonus.

They will get relisted at 800g a pop soon™ enough.
Give us a kitten deterministic way to obtain a precursor, no matter the difficulty.
I know we had our disagreement in that other thread but…

“Exploit, problem solved.”
Nice to know that balance should be created around glitchy solutions.
This is not an exploit. The game engine allows standing inside another model. Your argument is invalid.
Just because the game engine allows something does not mean it isn’t an exploit. The game engine allows you to move under terrain. The game engine allows you to teleport through doors. Pretty much every single exploit in the game is “allowed by the game engine” because if it wasn’t, you couldn’t perform said exploit in the first place!

That’s odd. Due to the demand of Onyx Cores/Lodestones, I find it is the dungeon most people want to run at the moment…

It just seems weird. You half expect the Sylvari to bust out the ol’ crumpets and tea at any second.
Do you even lift, bro?
I don’t suppose it crossed anyone’s mind since this game isn’t a representation of earth. If it was, there wouldn’t be Asuran, Charr or Nord races in it.
The different human civilizations do rely on distinct parallels to our own world.
So.
Yeah.

and making vengeance down you after used would only make Warriors about 10 times worse than Eles (Vengeance lasts a LOT longer than Mistform).
No, no it wouldn’t. When you use Vengeance you are not immune to damage, conditions or crowd control. Most of the times you’ll get zerged again, cc’d and spammed to death.
Vapour Form does give you immunity to everything. There is no way in kitten that Vengeance could ever be made worse than that frakking ability.
But I digress. I wasn’t serious about my changes to Vengeance. I was merely pointing out how ridiculous Vapour Form truly is.

So if the Dream is connected to the Mists could perhaps the Gods themselves be directing the Sylvari with both their Wyld and Dark Hunts?
That wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
More Mary Sue love for the Mary Sue race.

The hardest part at the Bandit Scouts.
These mobs are a bit overpowered with their 25 Bleed and Poison. Not to mention that at low Health, they’ll run and aggro their buddies which can easily overwhelm you.

Precursor manipulation does not exist!!!!11onetwothree
lol… Fix this situation already, Anet. Jesus….

At least they’re not as bad as Maces. You’ll have a hard time finding a decent Exotic Mace skin.
One change I’d love for Hammers is to make them a bit bigger. Greatswords get a huge size difference from when they are in your hands and on your back; Hammers are pretty much the same size.

It seems that Krytans have been mixed up with Ascalonians somewhere along the development process. The way I understand it, Krytans are more like Mediterranean peoples of our real world and the Ascalonians would be the more lighter skinned northern European peoples.
But I could be totally wrong, of course.

There are two versions of the bags.
Exploration bags which have tokens.
Story bags which lack tokens, and doesn’t get anything else to compensate.

Better to just open them up as you get them, because the items inside of them all stack.

So while cruising my favourite low level area for daily events, I noticed that The Maw is once more bugging out. The Scholar is in position to continue the event, but he does nothing. His dialogue has also reverted back to the normal one.

It doesn’t check to see if you’re going from a lower level to a higher level; it simply checks for when Adrenaline hits a certain level. So you’ll hear it even when losing Adrenaline.
Sloppy coding.

Are you sure? I swear it fills up super fast… And Dolyak runes aren’t even 80 health regeneration, sadly. Its like 30-40…
EDIT: Actually I tested it. Using Warhorn 5 significantly speeds up the dodge juice regeneration with Signet of Stamina equipped.

Get a mob to Chill/Cripple you.
Use “Savage Leap” with Sword.
Another thing I’ve noticed too is that sometimes Quickness makes you leap shorter cause the animation finishes waaay before you’ve made the full distance.

Vengeance is a laughably bad in PvP. You’ll never get it to charge up before you’re stomped. There’s no comparing to Elementalist Vapour Form, which is the most unbalanced and overpowered downed state ability in the game. It allows you to suicide with your Elementalist with 0 risk and all the rewards in WvW because if you’re smart you just slink into a tower/keep door and ress yourself. Or right back into the ressing arms of your friends.
Vengeance really should.
1. Be ready as soon as you go down (yeah, suck it Elementalists)
2. Reduce you to downed state upon ending (yeah, suck it twice Elementalists. We can be overpowered jerks too!… In my dreams.)
Even with my hilarious “overpowered” changes, it still sucks in comparison to Vapour Form; that ability renders you immune to damage/conditions/cc too! Vengeance doesn’t. Now do you realize how hilarious unbalanced that thing is?

I would replace Signet of Dolyak with Signet of Stamina.
The extra dodge juice and condition removal is worth way more than the itty bitty extra Toughness.

The Corrupted weapons are easy to figure out.
1. Take an existing weapon.
2. Cover it in Jormag’s “goo”

The Sons are a bit different than your run of the mill outlaw though. They’ve willingly allied with a being that is essentially the Joker to the Norn’s Batman. Even if we don’t see much of it in-game right now, eventually they will probably force the Norns to band together and form some sort of force to deal with them. Times are changing for the Norns.
Or Trahearne simply kills Jormag in single combat before that can happen. In which cause…. lol.

If you look at the weapons, there is certainly something Monster Hunter-eqsue over them. They definitely seem to be made up out of various parts of Destroyers.
