I’m not sure this is intended or not, but in my opinion for such a long CD skill we should get a guaranteed res.
Yeah, that is also what the skill description states.

Nobody wants Hundred Blades for its DPS.
It is for its burst potential with the one trick pony that is Frenzy.

Try hitting someone that doesn’t have too much Health left. It doesn’t work, even if you nail them right in the nuts with the Warbanner.

Oh yeah… and although they didn’t make my most hated list, I HATE THE LARGOS. The Largos are what happen when you take everything 12-year-olds think is cool and put it in a blender.
Dark elves+aion wings+fairy butterflies+vampires+super-secret-assassin-people+chicks with big breasts=LARGOS
Finally someone who shares my sentiment on that topic!
Do you even lift, bro?
Just me, or half the time it doesn’t ress downed allies?

So… Godskull Weapons?

It is in the background of the cutscenes with Ogden Stonehealer.
So what you’re saying is that Zhaitan’s corpse is present in the cutscenes in Arah story – before his death?
That’s just aesthetic concept art used to make those cinematics more flavorful, and they’re different based on the location (zone, city, and dungeon). But both story and explorable of Arah share the same background piece.
Exploration, naturally. I wasn’t aware that Ogden was present in the story cutscenes?
Do you even lift, bro?
To be honest, said Trait should be baked into the class by default. Just like Fast Hands for Warriors.

Dolyak Signet is worthless. Why pick it?
Do you even lift, bro?
You’re totally missing the point here.
This is about dual-wielding GREATSWORDS. Neither Katana nor European Longsword qualify as a real-life counterpart.
Do you even lift, bro?
You can’t compare a lithe katana to a claymore, Caedmon. A more accruate comparison would be the Nodachi.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nodachi
Which was a bigass Katana. And they were not wielded in one hand, just like European claymores.

The 15% listing fee kills any and all profit to be made. The average price of the finished product is rarely high enough in comparison to the total cost of the materials that you will end up making a profit.
Do you even lift, bro?
I say again, you might want to do some research into how scaling works. The tiny, tiny, minuscule stat bonus you have is not enough to matter.
Actually, the fact that you get to keep your Trait build is what makes lvl 80 characters a lot more powerful than lvl 35 characters in this case.
Do you even lift, bro?
Don’t call them elitist; there is nothing elite about them. If they can’t comfortably do AC without all lvl 80’s, they’re pretty bad players.
Do you even lift, bro?
Regardless, it is still too similar in concept and execution to the Warrior.
Do you even lift, bro?
You seem to forget that they have created devices which contain the ghosts – preventing them from reforming – and they’re developing weapons that are making the ghosts take longer to reform. It’d only be a matter of time – as far as they’re concerned – before they go from “slows them down” and “hinders them” to “removes them completely.”
In short…
If there’s something strange, in your catacombs. Who you gonna call?
Do you even lift, bro?
Quaggans are peaceful by nature and rarely become aggressive unless provoked. When quaggans are threatened or in pain, their adrenaline levels surge and parts of their skin turn a dark-scarlet hue. Fangs erupt from their mouths and their flippers grow long, formidable talons. While in this state, instinct overcomes rational thought and the quaggan is little more than an aquatic engine of destruction. They are deeply embarrassed when they display such aggression, and it is considered a social faux pas among their people.
This transformation is the primary reason quaggans actively avoid fighting—they are a danger to themselves and others while in this state. They are unreasoning brutes driven only to destroy, and they think nothing of tactics or collateral damage. Heroic quaggans are capable of being a little more aggressive without succumbing to their rage, but they are looked upon by their society as being a bit odd.

The only part of the story that makes me waiver in the slightest is the lack of a body in Arah.
It is in the background of the cutscenes with Ogden Stonehealer.

I like how GW is called a violent game.
Well, technically most of our characters are guilt of mass murder, if not genocide.
Do you even lift, bro?
We should ban females from existence, because they make men horny.
That’s just as logical as blaming video games.
Actually that is way more logical than blaming video games; there is significant proof that women actually do make men horny. There is no proof that video games makes you murder people.

You could compromise:
Knight armour and weapons with Berserker accessories.
Knight armour with Berserker weapons and accessories.
Or any other combo with the two.

Knight’s has Precision, not Critical Damage.

I asked you, repeatedly, to come up with something new. You are the one who kept defending your Phantasm knockoff over and over. It is not my fault that you were too caught up with sticking your fingers in your ears to come up with anything else.
So I ask you, once more, to improve your suggestion. Come on. Dazzle me. Blow me away, as it were. Or do you want me to do it all for you?

You can’t faceroll them, which was the point I was countering. The problem really is CoF1 being too easy to farm as a glass cannon, but as I also pointed out any class can do that. Warriors just do it better. That people are being jerks is in no way the fault of the Profession itself.

YOUR SPIRITS FUNCTION EXACTLY LIKE THE VARIOUS MESMER PHANTASMS!
If you can’t see the difference between something being similar and something being a clone (pardon the pun), then yes.
It is a pointless discussion.
Do you even lift, bro?
What is this, the 80’s? I can’t wait for the Satanism accusations to start hailing down!
Do you even lift, bro?
I love how you all only read the first sentence of my reply and ignored everything else.
Selective reading is fun!
Do you even lift, bro?
Yeah those Elites are not overpowered the slightest. Especially not Impossible Heroics.
LAWL.
Why just not have it insta-kill anything, regardless of Health? And resurrect any and all downed allies around you. It does just about everything else short of those two already.
Do you even lift, bro?
the concept is what makes the profession unique, it is what drives the mechanics towards a more unique style of gameplay.
Not if the concept is not reflected in game play mechanics. The functionality of your “Spirits”, as you have described them, are nothing short of identical to Mesmer’s Phantasms.
Asking for an absolutely unique profession and all it’s skills and abilities to be entirely unique as well is asking for the impossible.
Yet Anet managed to create 8 professions which are all truly unique in gameplay mechanics and concept-wise.
and last time i checked, criticism did not include bickering with other players, which is all you have done since posting here.
bickering with me and bickering with other posters.
That’s because your definition of “bickering” is “disagreeing with” or “criticizing me or my idea”.
Do you even lift, bro?
I don’t understand why most Warriors won’t change their weapons according to encounters.
All the different weapon-specific Traits.
They’re a double-edged sword, really.
Do you even lift, bro?
That’s cos it’s the single biggest faceroll class in the game that requires minimum thought to play.
Yeah… no. Take a Warrior into PvP and see how easy you “faceroll” a Mesmer, Thief or Elementalist. Or any other dungeon that isn’t “easy mode”.
The problem lies in CoF1 being far too easy to rampage through in glass cannon gear. This works with any class but Warriors do it the best.
Do you even lift, bro?
Entities are immune to Conditions, just like Structures. You’ll see them applied, but they won’t deal damage.
That’s the one difference I’ve spotted.
Do you even lift, bro?
I have to ask if you ever used a mesmer? the main concept of the mesmer is using their mastery of mind to create powerful illusions to befuddle their enemies, these include creating illusions. A summoner is pulling a creature out of the mists to act on their behalf, there is nothing about that which screams “iillusion” or “trick of the mind”
Again, you focus too much on the concept here. See back to my Thief analogy in my previous post. It doesn’t matter if the concept behind your profession is different if it plays out the same.
I have every right to ask a person to stop posting on a thread i created.
You sure do. I, however, have every right to ignore you on that and keep posting until a moderator locks the thread.
especially when the user is only causing problems which you have.
Whatever problems I have caused in this thread are a direct result of your inability to take criticism.
Do you even lift, bro?
If they needed an all 80 party to get through AC, consider yourself lucky you were left out.
That’s all I have to say on the matter, really.
Do you even lift, bro?
It’s still a rather huge assumption to say Zhaitan’s undead just because he’s the Elder Undeath Dragon. It’s be a more reasonable assumption if we knew Primordus was made of fire, or Kralkatorrik out of crystal, or Jormag out of ice. But this isn’t the case for them – Kralkatorrik and Jormag both bleed showing that they’re not crystal and ice respectively (although their blood turns into their respective element when drying).
That also seems to be the case actually. Icebrood are not 100% corrupted ice, so they can very much bleed. Nor do I suspect that Jormag’s Claw is 100% corrupted ice through and through. So it seems reasonable to assume that Jormag would not be 100% corrupted ice neither, thus being able to bleed.
But to summarize my points: While he does have multiple heads, wings, and tails, these body parts are not only differing in number, but greatly separated from each other (especially the heads), and furthermore the skin is solidly and clearly that of a single being, unlike the concept art’s. And regardless of the skin’s state, for all we know it’s just that he looks like he’s made of many dragons, and not that he actually is.
1) Your point of his body parts differing in number (as well as being asymmetrical; one arm/claw is huge in comparison to the other. Its the one he clings to the “tower” with in the fight) seem to support the idea that he is indeed made up out of undead dragons. Any and all other dragons you encounter have the same number of limbs, in the same general shape, the traditional dragon shape.
2) Your “melded skin” argument also don’t hold water to me. He uses magic, not simply stitching the body parts together like a third rate Dr. Frankenstein. Of course you’re going to see melding like that going on. Plus, if Zhatain originally was the same “species” of dragon as the ones his body is composed of, naturally you wouldn’t see that big a difference.
But in this case, I was not disputing him being made of multiple dragons – as whether he is or isn’t is, imo, irrelevant to the case of him being alive or not. What I was disputing was that he’s made of dead dragons.
Of course we can’t 100% confirm it, but the evidence strongly points toward it being at least highly plausible. To me it looks like the head is all that is left of the original Zhaitan and the rest are a result of him “upgrading” himself throughout the ages. To me, personally, that concept makes him more deserving of the title of Elder Dragon of Undeath and a lot more fitting than him just being a " misshapen freak".
Also reminds me of a Lich in Dungeons and Dragons, the way he is more of a malevolent entity than a physical being.

The difference between spirits and illusions is the fact one is real and the other is the figment of it’s creator’s imagination.
and I don’t merely intend on making the summons just “spirits” and “ghosts” i want to create a multitude of creatures called by this profession.
See, that doesn’t exactly change the core problem: that it would be essentially a reskin of existing Mesmer abilities. If you create a profession that uses Stealth in exactly the same way as Thieves currently do, but you say that this new profession doesn’t stealth at all; it magically switches to an alternative dimension for the duration… that doesn’t change the fact that it is still a copy of the Thief profession. See where I’m going with this?
and FYI, because it is MY thread i have every right to ask you to not post here.
No, no you do not. You technically have no special rights nor actual ownership of this thread just because you started it.
Do you even lift, bro?
Weeeeell.
Waypoints are already free within town/city limits. But yeah, sure. Why not? Lets keep the NPC option though, its a convenient way to alter your Personality real quick.
Do you even lift, bro?
Oglaf, this the second time i ask you to not post here. if you continue to disregard my request ill have to report you
I’m sorry, but you’re not in any position to tell people where they can’t post.
Anyway.
Indulge me. Tell me how you’d change your idea as to not be the same as a Mesmer? Short-lived, “ghostly” pets with various offensive and defensive abilities is exactly what Mesmer is about. Well, one aspect of Mesmer anyway.
Do you even lift, bro?
You’re still crying about me not liking your suggestion?
Jebus.
Do you even lift, bro?
You attacked my idea solely because of its name, and even that was an example of your ignorance of Guild Wars lore. There is disagreeing, and there is shamefully insisting on a factually inaccurate premise. Your efforts embody the latter. On the internet that is called trolling, regardless of your opinions on the matter.
I didn’t “attack” your idea because of the name.
I “disagreed” with your idea because of the name.
Stop taking things so personally. Chillax. As I said, if you only expect praise of your suggestions, don’t post it. People are going to disagree with it, even (dare I say?) criticize it.
EDIT: How cute, you deleted your post, Arkham. Real mature.

I like it that Arena.net trying to find ther own mmorpg way and make something unique. But I realy miss the classic healer and tank class in this game.
I am playing anyways to 95%+ only in the WvW, but that ther arnt any realy tank (taunt) or healer class in this game is the main resson why I dont go on dungeon runs or PvE raids.
You’re missing out. The reason why there aren’t any pure tanks or healers is because they are not needed. The game is balanced around each player pretty much minding his own Health in combat.
Do you even lift, bro?
they all look so bad compared to many many other skins that i don’t see the point
Dusk, Dawn and The Colossus are pretty sweet.

A staple of MMORPG gameplay. I know they didn’t want to appear cliché or stock when it comes to game design, but there is a reason most MMORPG use this feature:
It is a great feature.
It is kinda like that guy that says that a movie everyone but him agrees is awesome, is horrible.

Maybe from the “unDEATH” part in his title? It is not rocket science nor brain surgery, just a matter of putting two and two together. His in-game model clearly shows him being made up from the bodies of multiple dragons. It is like something out of a Resident Evil game. Or perhaps one of Grandfather Nurgle’s creations. Here’s a render:
Also take gander at this piece of concept art:
http://lh5.ggpht.com/-tUuUA8jzDH8/UDZtLO62qyI/AAAAAAAAABQ/fjBkgTIygZ8/zhaitan_1920x1200.jpg
You can clearly see the heads of various smaller dragons making up his neck.

Ah, ye olde method of calling people who don’t agree with you “a troll”. Sorry I didn’t shower your mediocre and clichéd profession suggestions with praise. As I said, I calls them like I sees them. You asked for feedback by making these threads, and I gave it. That it wasn’t the praise and adoration you expected is not my problem.
Do you even lift, bro?
Brings me back to my Diablo II days.
I just wish it had a bit more… ompf. It goes on forever without really delivering a lot of damage.
Do you even lift, bro?
Okay, then. Trash everything you got so far because it is too similar to existing professions and start over at square one.
Do you even lift, bro?
No doubt, no doubt.
This game needs more lightning elementals.
