It is also a missed design opportunity. Crafted Heavy rebreathers would look vastly different in comparison to Light rebreathers. Instead they just stuck with one stock model all the way… Bleh.

Forgal mentions that his father was the last Dolyak Shaman. When did the Spirit of Dolyak die? That might put Forgal’s own age into more of a perspective.

Tell me if this is some sort of bizarre type of lag or a new kind of “hack”: when you down someone they stay in place for about a few seconds at a time, all the while periodically teleporting around at what appears to be random.
Last guy I saw doing this
1) Was a Warrior. We can’t do any sort of teleporting when downed.
2) No class can teleport so rapidly when downed either.
That only leaves some pretty funky lag or a “hack”… If it is a hack, what do you report them as? There is no real fitting category for it. Botting?

Burning Arrows suck, but the Stronger Bowstrings Trait is amazing. Not only does it do what it says(900→1200 range) but it also makes all your attacks guaranteed Finishers.
Do you even lift, bro?
The Hammer needs
1) Blast finisher on auto attack. You know it makes sense!
2) Way faster and smoother animations.

Longbow is amazing in WvW (just make sure you Trait it!). Both F1 and 3 can easily hit siege and enemy players on keep/tower walls.

Who in their right mind would spend Gems on the keys though?
I have before, it’s not the best system, but this is a micro transaction game, get used to it.
Really? They’re really bad value for you Gems. I’m not questioning buying Gems, but I am questioning spending Gems on keys.
Do you even lift, bro?
I’m not defending it, I’m just posting the gist of what the devs have said in previous topics on the issue.
Do you even lift, bro?
Who in their right mind would spend Gems on the keys though?
Do you even lift, bro?
The usual reasons:
1) Knocking a crucial mob out of position and being unable to finish him off.
2) Knocking a boss off a ledge and not being able to loot.
3) AI is not programmed to avoid cliffs so it is open to abuse.
Do you even lift, bro?
Heh yeah as I was saying: Mesmers don’t need more kiting options.
Quite the opposite….
Do you even lift, bro?
Forceful Greatsword should just be renamed Forceful and be made to work with all our weapons.
It would unlock a lot more options.
Do you even lift, bro?
A very small advantage to be sure. Nearly non-existent in the long run, actually. I’d gladly trade down to Light armour for all the Elementalist stuff.
Do you even lift, bro?
Warriors are pretty much forces to specc for 30% Boon Duration in order to keep up. Giving us a Signet would allow more freedom in WvW builds.
Do you even lift, bro?
Warriors are very squishy because we can’t mitigate damage well. All that Health gives you a false sense of tankyness. An D/D Elementalist that teleports in and out of danger and refills his Health by simply switching to Water attunement has a lot more “real” tankyness in PvP than a Warrior. Same with a Mesmer/Thief that can just Stealth away.
The only classes that we can out-tank are classes without these cheap tricks to mitigate damage such as Rangers and Engineers.
Do you even lift, bro?
Even if they cost 1 Laurel I still would hesitate before buying them due to their random nature. With the Ascended stuff you know for sure what you’re getting.
Do you even lift, bro?
Technically not mine, but a good contender nontheless.
Do you even lift, bro?
Yeah please do! You can remake the worthless Dolyak Signet when it comes to Warriors.
Dolyaks are known for their speed, right?
Do you even lift, bro?
That’s not really fair. Asura look like shaved badgers while Humans and Norns look a lot like each other.
Do you even lift, bro?
I don’t care about bodytypes; I want dat beard! Its a friggin epic mane that makes GW2 Norn look like mere school boys!
Do you even lift, bro?
Very true. It is not the case of them being tankier, but having access to a lot of escape tricks to mitigate damage (ever played “chase the Mesmer” in WvW?) or just total overpowerdness in the case of D/D Elementalists which have everything – tanking, damage, CC, healing and escapes!
Do you even lift, bro?
They were on par with the chests as far as rarity went back then.
Which, y’know, made sense.
Do you even lift, bro?
That’s different. I’m talking about loot. You could loot them just like the chests.
Do you even lift, bro?
When Ascended accessories are 30 Laurels, the boxes just aren’t worth 5.
Do you even lift, bro?
So they’re like AC weapons without the fancy glow…
Anyone else feel slightly disappointed? The armour sets are badkitten though.
Do you even lift, bro?
I’m working on my third full stack.
What really annoys me is that they sneak-removed the keys from the loot tables. Say what you want Anet, I know that around launch they did drop just like the chests.
Do you even lift, bro?
Well it was just a mistake on their part. The cloth one was just a circlet; how does that allow you to breathe underwater? Most likely a normal cloth helm model.
Do you even lift, bro?
As if Mesmers needed more kiting power…
Do you even lift, bro?
Except the majority of Warriors that don’t use Greatswords in PvP.
Do you even lift, bro?
D/D Elementalists are just boring to encounter. They can’t beat you, and you can’t beat them – but – if they want to stop the fight they can very easily run away thanks to their “cheap tricks” such as Ride The Lightning.
As a Warrior you can’t really disengage in this situation. It is all or nothing in fights.
EDIT: Our Downed state is also possibly the worst when it comes to PvP. A single target knockdown does nothing when you’re up against two or more enemy players; they will stomp you. And they will always stomp you before Vengeance has charged up.
It really should be available as soon as you go down in PvP, like Vapour Form for Elementalists. You’re probably still gonna die (unlike Vapour Form) but at least you go down fighting…
Do you even lift, bro?
Frenzy+CC
That’s one way. How do you land it when Frenzy is on cooldown? You don’t, unless your zerg has targeted your target with mass CC. 1v1 situation such as when you’re roaming, you’ll never land it unless you’re up against a newbie.
EDIT: I am not against bursting. I am against Hundred Blades either being called overpowered by other professions or hailed as the bees’ knees by fellow Warriors. Outside of PvE it really isn’t. Whirlwind Attack is a much nicer PvP feature on Greatsword as is the throw.
Do you even lift, bro?
Hah, I hope so. That would take those shaved badgers down a peg or two.
Do you even lift, bro?
Warriors suck in PvP because we do not have any “cheap tricks”. Which are the classes that rule PvP?
Thieves, Mesmers and Elementalists.
What do they have in common? Cheap tricks like Stealth, clones and just generally awesome mobility. When it comes to Elementalists they also have awesome self-healing in Water attunment. Warriors have none of that.
Do you even lift, bro?
I love you keep touting that you’re the only one über enough to properly play Warrior, yet you keep including that one-trick pony strategy with Frenzy over and over. As I said, without Frenzy, you’re not pulling it off because it takes forever to finish the attack, leaving you vulnerable (because of the self-root) and leaving your intended victim plenty of time to escape.
Frenzy+Hundred Blades is a one-trick pony, no matter how highly you think of yourself.
Do you even lift, bro?
They changed it back to the generic model, sadly.
Do you even lift, bro?
Ahahaha yes. I remember around lvl 15-20, way back at launch. I had way over 100% critical hit chance.
Do you even lift, bro?
1.) I advice that you listen to skilled Warriors active on the forums such as me and Defektive. Every other players are legitimately “one trick ponies” who don’t even show themselves in tPvP, let alone worked on their class. You know who you are, just stop talking and misleading new players.
Ahahaha.
Does it ever get lonely up there on your pedestal?
No-one with a brain is going to let you pull off Hundred Blades on them unless you Bull’s Charge+Frenzy. Especially Frenzy, without it you’ll stand there swinging your sword like for ages before the attack finishes. Greatsword has a lot going for it in PvP, like Whirlwind Attack, but Hundred Blades just doesn’t work any longer.
People have figured that move out. It is the definition of a one-trick pony. Again, that’s not to say that the Greatsword is – far form it. But Hundred Blades is.

I wouldn’t call Daggerstorm a Transform.
It is a channeling ability.
Do you even lift, bro?
It is entirely random based on what type of weapons and armour that profession can equip.
AKA not friggin’ worth 5 Laurels.
Do you even lift, bro?
Indeed it does. And I don’t feel like spending several Gold on another rune for a friggin’ blue re-breather.
Do you even lift, bro?
All reflects are based on your power/crit chance/crit damage I believe.
Do you even lift, bro?
The invulnerability offered by the Shield should not be overlooked, however.
Do you even lift, bro?
Or, at the very least add some friggin’ Exotic ones.
Do you even lift, bro?
Lately, I’ve been playing with my warrior a lot in WvW. As most warriors know, Hundred Blades is a great way to quickly get your target’s health completely or most of the way down. One problem with that is getting your target to stay still long enough. I have found that using Throw Bolas can help a lot, but is easily evaded by the target. Frenzy is also a great skill that can help get Hundred Blades done a lot quicker, but isn’t very helpful if your target isn’t still. Right there, that’s 2 utility slots that are taken up if Throw Bolas fails. Are there any other ways to get your target to stay still for long enough?
In short, Hundred Blades is a one-trick pony.
Bull’s Charge→Frenzy→Hundred Blades→Pray and hope that your target dies.
Do you even lift, bro?
1) Quaggan.
2) Kodan.
3) eeeeerr… none
Do you even lift, bro?
Perma-“Stealth” Thieves are on the verge of putting me off of WvW, permanently.
Yuck.
Do you even lift, bro?
Greatswords and Swords are horrible overdimensioned in GW2 for whatever reason.
Compare a Greatsword to a Hammer and a Sword to a Mace.
Do you even lift, bro?
a) He is a poorly written character whose only purpose is to pull deus ex machinas out of his butt in order to move the plot along.
b) For any non-Sylvari player character his introduction into the plot is awkward and embarrassingly bad. We’ve not met him at all, but suddenly we’re the best of chums! Yeah, right.
c) His voice-acting is horrible. It lacks any sort of emotion. Did they intend for him to be an Asura golem at first?
d) He steals your Personal Story and it becomes his Personal Story of how he got the Pact together and lead the charge into, and eventually cleansing, Orr. Your character is reduced to nothing but a loyal side-character. A toadie. My Norn Warrior would’ve rightfully killed him for ruining and stealing his Legend.
And perhaps the worst sin of them all
e) He replaces one of the three better and well-liked characters in the game: the Pact Mentors. Tybalt is an amazing character, and so is Warmaster Forgal. I can’t speak of the Priory one but I assume she is a great character as well. Going from Warmaster Forgal to Trahearne left a very, veeeery sour taste in my mouth.

Kitten no.
The Kodan Popsicle is one of the more awesome Greatswords in the game.
