Yes, I did, to be honest. Your answers are pretty creative, but some of them don’t really make sense. Why would ettins be green mossy water? Or blood suddenly form underwater? Also, Sons of Svanir are not “manifestation of dark energy” , but simply Norns worshipping Jormag, sometimes being corrupted by him.

Though the ettins would go with green mossy water.

The bloody bubbles for the shark just seemed cool. There could be fish parts in it as particle effects.

How would Skritts, Jellyfishes, Sharks, Nightmare Court enemies, Bandits, Ettins, Oakhearts, Golems and Sons of Svanir spawn?

Answer me.

Skritt are borrowing animals, so having them borrow out of the ground makes since.

Bandits and Nightmare Court could unstealth slowly

Golems as parts on the ground that assemble themselves.

Sons of Svanir and Oakhearts could appear as dark energy taking their form.

Jellyfishes can grow from small to full size.

In shallow water, some enemies would rise out of the water.

Skarks from bubbles of bloody water.

Ettins-rise from a puddle of green mossy water.

Enemies should have a entrance and not appear out of nowhere. Their entrance or manifestation should take place over a 3-5 second period. So players can react to them.

Ex:

  • Elemental’s (earth-out of ground from roots), (fire-meteor hitting ground, melting it into lava, fire elemental rising from it), (Air-wind little tornado forms into Air elemental), (ice-ice crystals form into a ice elemental), (Water-elemental from bubbles)

Risen (rise like undead coming from the ground)

You can discuss how other enemies would manifest here.

I’ve been using a controller and holding the left shoulder button down the whole time.
This mod would free up that button.

I don’t know if I want to use anther outside program. Because my controller driver often brakes.

Also a if Anet ever added this kind of feature to this game. It would add a whole new player base to the game (action mmo crowd).

I Fixed Gear Inspection!

I like the idea of “Cosmetic gear Inspection”. But because of transmutation stones it wouldn’t be able to tell the real name of the skins.

Maybe have some short customizable text to greet people when inspecting them.

I was going to make my own post. But I’ll put it here instead.

I would like the HUD to have a movie like feel to it. That means making it
much smaller and hiding parts of it.

These items take up to much space on the HUD?
*Story mode
*Hearts
*Achievements
*Event (win/lose)
*map
*text in middle of the screen (karma)
*NPC chat window (during combat)

Suggestions to fix this:
*use expand-able and collapse-able icons on the right side of the HUD.
*Icon can flash to indicate progress.
*Option to collapse the map into a icon.
*compass option instead of mini-map (copy ESS)
*Smaller or transparent NPC chat window

Player triggered events

Most event are triggered by players. Some through talking to a npc. And others are triggered by winning or losing a DE.

While other events are triggered by player interacting with the environment. Each play may not be aware that they contributed to the DE.

But I do agree that I would like to see smaller events (1-3 player events) triggered directly by the player.

This game doesn’t need huge mounts.

Small cosmetic mount like the broomstick are ok.

asuran or norn bred shetland dolyaks?
Size can be adjusted to character size not that bad.

Dolyak’s are meant to be big. Scaling them down to ride on wouldn’t look right in the game world.

I could see dolyak’s in a future escort mission that pull a wagons. That the player can control.

For many that means, doing what they want! By not participating in WvW, Dungeons, or conforming to guild rules.

Future dailies will give use a choice to chose 4 of 6 daily tasks to complete. And, future monthlies should do the same.
Ex: Future monthly
4 PvE tasks (non-dungeon)
2 tasks (1 WvW, 1 dungeon)

It could just be an NPC model, they have some
skins not available to us….yet ;-)

I checked all armor sites for that skin already.And its not just npc skin cause it was available for players in beta i think… Im just wondering why dev’s deleted it(or not but its gone)and added a lot of crap light armors instead

They seem to be holding things like this (mini-games) back. For a future expansion, even though it is most likely already Finnish.

Can’t just switch camera systems. The system is the way it is in order to accommodate a number of systems including an occlusion system that makes things on the other side of walls not render, and messing with the camera collision can push it through walls then you end up with half the world disappearing at random times. This is just one of the important systems that need the camera to behave a certain way. In the big picture, having the world drop away is higher on the priority list than making all the jumping challenges feel good. It would have been nice to have had a final camera when most of the JPs were being built, but the occlusion system didn’t get in until near the end of production, so we couldn’t have foreseen the crazy camera demands it would have. We can make little tweaks to the existing JPs, but that’s got it’s own can of worms associated with it, like introducing new bugs. As to a First Person Cam, I would LOVE it. But that’s ANOTHER big can of worms, as we would have to create a new system for how we reconcile the direction of the camera to the orientation of the player’s face as they do all sorts of crazy maneuvers like back-flips, cartwheels, 720 spins, etc. Not to mention dealing with how to render the weapons and attacks which were not created with that viewpoint in mind.

With the camera, I would like the option to have it a little above/behind the players head. When entering a doorway have the camera move forward. Low ceilings it would move to it’s current position.

Also in the sylvari starter zone, the quest where you turn into a small oakheart. The camera is really bad.

6/6 Superior rune’s can be equipped to your armor.
1 rune can be applied to your rebreather.
0 rune’s can be equipped to your back slot.

I want the ability to put a rune on my back piece. So I can the same two rune’s on my rebreather and back piece.

ex:
6/6 Superior rune (armor)
2/4 Major rune (rebreather and back piece)

I don’t want to see large cosmetic mounts like horse in the game. This game doesn’t need players a large cosmetic mounts crowding npc’s.

The riding and witches brooms are alright because they are smaller and give no advantages to the player.

funny the F button still works fine…..and what does anet care about that for, they had tonics in Gw1 that would make any mount short of a dragon look small.

Large mounts are a eyesore.

*Tonics stay on when going into anther zones.
*Add swiftness to tonic transformations (same as normal swiftness).
*Fight enemies while using tonic.
*Tonic Transformations go over top armor.
*Tonic fighting abilities would be no different then picking up
a weapon on the ground.

The same suggestions can also be applied to town clothing.

Feeling of the world:
First, let me say that I think Tyria is beautiful. One of the best looking worlds I have seen. What’s missing is the vibe you get from the zones. The DEs do not really give me the feeling of wanting to understanding why things are ocurring. It just feels like kitten is happening and I’m there. For the most part there is no connection between events. Sure there are reasons for why these events occur, but they are very shallow, and none of them are intriguing.

sPvP:
I’m not sure how paid tournements are, but as far as the rest… The capture points don’t feel all too important. I’m not sure what it is, but maybe it has something to do with the rewards for winning. Maybe in other games they felt important because if you won, you were one step closer to being more powerful. Not really sure how they could improve this aspect of the game… I do like the fact that I don’t have to constantly gear up.

Feeling of the world-Anet should add lore to the towns through interactive items. Most small towns are missing local government (a mayor or local lord).

SPvP-I think Anet should add some bigger maps. And the capture points on those maps structure’s like a farm, rock quarry, tower.

There’s no such thing as endgame in this game.

No whole word is the endgame. Anet just needs to expand on the world by giving us new DE’s, and other content. That is easily reachable by all players.

If you want endgame to be content only for elite players to enjoy. That’s not going to happen. The so called elite players do not ever buy gems.

People measure the day in day and night cycles. Not in 24 hr period that span over the course of two days.

People who play online games measure the day in the game’s cycles. Everyone else learned to do it, you can too.

I keep telling all of you insistence hosing based in the open world. Is the best way to go. The system is already their to make them like R###. Just play SP missions to see how housing would work.

I know some have there own idea of what a good player house is. But in this case the easiest way for Anet is the way I suggested. It’s also the coolest way to do it.

Not really, considering that I know that they reset at 2am my local time.

It’s called a daily for a reason.

People measure the day in day and night cycles. Not in 24 hr period that span over the course of two days.

I have to wait a whole 24 hrs to do my Daily for the next day. This makes it so I have little flex time to do them.

Think about it, if you put off doing a daily a little every day. Then the time you are able to do your daily the next day becomes later. Until you have to skip a daily to do it earlier in the following day.

How about doing it like this:
You can do your daily 14 hours later or 12:00am based on you time zone. Which ever comes Last.

I like it that they are account wide. My main can complete the difficult ones while my alt gains experience from them.

We just need to convence Anet to let use earn more Laurels through adding more attachments (Ex. weekly, monthly champion and Meta event).

How about putting the back slot icon with the other armor in the Hero panel. Because must back pieces are visible armor anyways. This makes since when dying your armor and back piece.

It would mean rearranging the icons in the Hero panel.

Paths with fewer enemies

I think the Quaggan backpack should be dye-able in two tones. Alone with the other back pieces that we can see. Their should also be a option to restore the colors to original.
