I like the idea of Cosmetic player Inspect (not for stats)
*3d view of player and there equipment.
*short interduction text
*link to their guild charter
*Customizable player profile for RP
Housing
*should be instanced
*Look like it’s in the open world like in R###.
*I want to live anywhere in the world, but instanced like the personal story.
*furniture crafting
*use screen shots as hanging portraits
*buy bank access, BL TP, crafting areas for housing
I am an elementalist. I swap weapons around. Never salvaged any of my weapons by accident because I’m careful. Invisible bags are also a thing.
If you a elementalist, why do you not want the convenience to swap weapons in and out of combat.
Elementalists do have more weapon sets from having four types of magic. But each weapon uses those four types of magic in it’s own combat style.
My suggestion is for both convenience and as a safeguard for you favorite weapons. It doesn’t give a advantage to the Elementalist over other classes.
I like the launcher better for it’s news feed and how it updates the game.
The old load screen could be a alliterative skin for the launcher.
Open inventory -> equip alternate weapons. Problem solved.
You haven’t been reading the posts, have you?
A server crash during moving weapons around can result in losing it.

If your not a Elementalist you do not have worry about.
*salvaging the exotic because of it’s ordinary icon
*Losing a weapon due to lag or a error, while equipping it.
*accidently selling you favorite exotic
Anet I never used weapon swap in comment. For me it’s just a safe place put you 2nd favorite weapon.
(edited by Onshidesigns.1069)
I get that he wants out of combat, but I still say no for the same reasons, ele can basically swap been 4 weapons in combat (and only has to pay for one weapon set) while other classes get to swap between 2 weapons in combat (and we have to pay for two weapon sets. Elementalists (and engineers) have a very clear in combat advantage. The price to pay for that is really cheap, you only get one weapon slot.
In other words, ele’s already have a built in weapon swap and they didn’t even have to pay for it. What you are asking for is basically a 3rd weapon set that can only be swapped out of combat. This I would agree with … IF and only IF … it was applied to ALL classes.
My mesmer would love to be able to have greatword and scepter/pistol all the time but the reality is I always need to swap focus for pistol otherwise I get left in the dust with no swiftness.I don’t care if I have to manually swap my weapon in the equipment panel. I just want my exotic equipped. So I don’t have to worry about losing it somehow.
Invisible Bag. ’Nuff said.
Also, it’s not hard to open your bag and equip an item. If you get an invisible Bag (personally I have an 8-slot at the top, and my starter backpack below it), put your weapons at the top. Now they won’t move when you compact, they won’t be accidentally vendored, and they will be up at the top next to your salvage kits and other important stuff.
+1
I really really really bored changing my weapon set in every 20sec in WvW to deal with different objectives.
Then learn to master your weapon fully? I don’t have the problem with my Ele at all.
I already use a invisible bag kitten. I shouldn’t have to move mine favorite Two weapons around. When other players can swap between their best weapons. Without fear of accidently salvaging or destroying them.

This is about have two kittening weapons equipped at the same time. (2 one handed and 1 two handed).
So I can have my exotic Final Rest equipped (and I only guested once to get it). But I like to use daggers. The Final Rest has a normal looking icon and I don’t want to movie it in and out of inventory all the time.
Elementalists need the ability to swap weapons out of combat.
It’s unfair that other classes can swap between equipped two handed and one handed weapons. Without manually equipping the 2nd weapon from storage bags.
I suggested that Anet limit the number of times you can open each boss chest to two a day account wide. A people kittened calling my idea a Nerf.
I can only open a jumping puzzle chest once a day account wide. So why not limit event chests to two per account on each boss per day.
Anet has to do something to keep you all from farming them all day long.
If I asked for 50% darker night. Anet would only make nights 25% darker.
It like haggling for how much darker I can get Anet to make nights.
I also remember the White Rabbit summon.
That thing . . . was something else.
This made think of this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WANNqr-vcx0
…. should be removed.
Yes its just a pixels and 95% of guild wars population wont become animal abusers because of that but we have children playing here. Proposing that bashing rabbits or kitties to death is rewardable ( which is what anet is suggesting here ) is wrong and i bet in some form – illegal.
Yes yes this is a game but we have too much violence in games already, why add more?
This game is to bright and cheerful. I want see the blood dripping off my weapon as I slaughter those helpless rabbits.
I never played Eye of the North. Is there anther way to unlock these items within GW2?
I’ve seen the two chests in the Hall of Monuments, are they only for Eye of the North players to unlock in GW2?
Traditional quests can be “do X thing Y times”, but hearts are always “do X thing Y times”.
What you said equates to the same exact thing. Hearts “can be” anything same as traditional.
I’m sure you didn’t read what I said…but hearts aren’t supposed to be traditional quests. They are renown hearts…that’s what they are called. You gain status in the area doing them.
1.) Traditional quests can be long running chains that take you on an adventure. Renown hearts are always “do X thing Y times”. Renown hearts can never be anything but that.
2.) You don’t gain status in the area. There is no such thing as factions with actual renown.
3.) Renown hearts don’t make the game more fun. Renown hearts don’t make me more immersed (on the contrary they reduce it). Renown hearts are simply there because in alpha/closed-beta testing new players were confused on where to go because dynamic events being the main PvE content was never tried before. They were also added because (as is obvious) there aren’t enough Dynamic Events to fill up each map and keep people busy.
Point is…that you missed…is that there’s both. Hearts handle your rep in an area, events from NPCs handle the rest.
Sorry you want every game to be the same. This seems quite ok with me.
Why can’t I make a bad reputation for my self?
Your average heart quest:
*clean this
*Kill enemies around heart
*train fightersAlso why is there hearts to begin with? How about tasks from different NPC’s that create small story driven DE’s.
Huh?
No…heroes do things to make their name known. Maids? wtf?
Because you are helping an area, not a person. Which is way better for the sole reason hearts are made for. There are event for single NPCs
So players should be the maids for those areas? People help people not areas!
Wha?
Heroes help anyone. They make a name for themselves doing so. A maid does chores for a single person…srsly…huh?
Who told Anet I wanted to be a hero. My character is more of a mercenary.

Nights need to be about 70% darker.

Limit the number of threads you can open each day about the same topic to 2 times a day (account wide).
FTFY
If your are fighting the same boss more then twice a day your exploiting the system. Anet has to limit the number of people at these event chests at one time.
Limit the number of times you can open each boss chest to 2 times a day (account wide).
*With a traditional questing system, you get quest after quest telling you to constantly go kill 10 boars, go kill 10 wolves, go kill 10 orcs, etc etc. You pick up a quest, run out to the area, stand there and kill 10 of each, then run back to the NPC for your reward and get the next quest that makes you do the same thing again. It’s a back and forth grind that is outdated and stale.
This the type of Traditional Quest that game designers use to stretch out the grind.
What I think the OP wanted was will written tasks within the heart system. That provide interesting story driven activates like a Traditional Quest but with out the grind. They would be like small puzzle like DE’s.
Heart tasks could have some more thought put into them.
It’s a good game with some problems that should be fix before long.
Keep nerfing classes so they all play the same.
All classes should have advantages and disadvantages to other classes.
After reading the forums the problem to me seems to be both of these.
1. Players guesting so all there alts can take advantage of the better loot in event chests.
2. More native players taking advantage of the better loot in event chests.
I can only think of two solutions to this problem.
1.lower the chances of a rare dropping from event chests.
2.Or, limit event chests (2 chests a day per boss, account wide)
I disagree with the dying fast part. They take longer to kill because of the incredible amount of lag.
I want to see smaller dragons 1/2 the size in the future, with room to move around.
Meta event chest drops based on how many times a day you loot them. This idea would be account wide.
Rare drops would be based number of times a day opening event chests.
1st, 50% chance of a rare
2nd, 25% chance of a rare
3rd, 10% chance of a rare
4th, 5% chance of a rare
Only one I would buy is the Orca quaggan backpack. But you can’t get it through any means yet. It is in the game yet. Here are the previews for the new backpacks:
Pink Quaggan: [&AgFGmgAA]
Green Quaggan: [&AgFKmgAA]
Purple Quaggan: [&AgFemgAA]
Orca Quaggan: [&AgFimgAA]White Charr: [&AgFmmgAA]
Yellow Charr: [&AgFOmgAA]
Orange Charr: [&AgFSmgAA]
Brown Charr: [&AgFWmgAA]
Black Charr: [&AgFamgAA]Joy. The Orca quaggan shows up as [PVP] when you enter it into chat…
How does the person that decides this stuff keep a job? “Hey, here’s something cool. Let’s not sell it.”
Maybe they come later.^^ So the people who gambled for the pink quaggan will gamble for the orca quaggan as well.^^
I hope this means that back pieces will be dyeable in the future. Anet will make more money this way, then by trying to repackage the same item to sell again.
Limit 1 chest per boss, while guesting. (1 a day)
Limit 2 chests per boss, on your home server. (1 every 12 hours)
This would be account wide
In the boss area there would be a icon similar to the personal story icon. That puts you into a insistence of the area. The insistence boss and open world boss would spawn on the same timer.
Here’s a idea:
What if guesting event chests are one per account? And What if home server event chests are once per character?
Guesting “Insistence Meta Event”
With more guesting and native players doing Meta Event. There
needs to be a way to limit the amount players that are taking part in
these events in the open world.
My suggestion is to have half the players waiting do the event, the option to do the event in a “Insistence Meta Event”. The insistence will be on the same timer as the
open world event. This would only affect Meta Events with chests.
This is just a basic idea and haven’t worked out all the details.
(edited by Onshidesigns.1069)
I don’t see why you deserve a refund, after playing the game for 600 hours.
I think it need more water with ship versus ship combat.
*Limit guesting to one boss chest per server per day (account wide)
Pretty sure some anti-gambling group would get peeved about this.
That’s why Pokemon’s gambling features are renamed to “gaming” and gamblers are now called “gamers” or something like that. XD
As long as it’s gambling with in-game money, there’s no problem.
As for political correctness groups, kitten them. They will destroy what little rights we have left, if you let them.
Not in LA, because it already has more then the other cities.
Hidden illegal gambling dens could be in all the major home cities.
I vote for clear color.
This post is to help solve the Guesting problem on high population servers.
Some different ideas to help solve guesting problem. Pick which ones you
like or suggest new ones.
*Limit guesting to 3 times a day.
*Limit guesting to servers without friends on them, to once a day.
*Limit guesting to one character per server per day.
*No rares from boss chests for 30 min. after guesting.
Or more elemental’s like the Shadow Behemoth, only more challenging.
I wold like to see smaller dragons 1/2 the size. That have room to move around more.
My suggestion is to make Claypool and Beetletun a bigger player hub in Queensdale. By moving trading posts to both of them. And removing the two trading posts south of Divinity’s Reach.
Claypool already has a building that was meant to be a bank for a place to put the new trading post.
New players in Queensdale can go to Divinity’s Reach, or Claypool if they want to withdraw money from the trading post.
Why should the Quaggan backpack be blue/white or pink/white. Maybe I want red/black, red/dark purple, or metallic.
Anet give use these options to buy Quaggan backpacks for 300 gems.
1st Male Quaggan
2st female Quaggan with bow
3rd Add a metallic version that is dyeable too
And make both two tone dyeable.
(edited by Onshidesigns.1069)
I would buy dance emotes if
*the are permanent
*a /dance emote or costume brawl dance toy
Also add a emote hud on list of emotes to click on.
Box of fun should last longer or be cheaper.
And make back pieces dyeable in two tones. So people can their Quaggan back pack match their armor.
Many people including my self have been asking for two tone dyeable back-pieces. Anet will sell 5x as many Quaggan back packs, if they do this.
Agree
Also
*Transmute old back armor to Town clothing
*A weapon swap “not in costume brawl”
*Add weak armor stats to town clothing
*Equip a normal weapon to town clothing.
*Add a use tonic button
