Any good race has to be very customizable. Based on the artwork of GW on google. These are the best races to have playable.

Pluzoid your response is so far off it isn’t even funny. I never said a thing about WOW and have never played WOW nor do I have any intention of playing WOW. The fact is level scaling is not a logical concept in gaming. If you are level 50 (or you pick a level) and you worked your butt off to get there and then you step across a border and all of a sudden you are level 10….does that REALLY make any sense whatsoever? No. Level scaling negates having levels at all. All those people who cry about higher level people “taking all the events” (and I don’t condone this practice) are whiners. If they are harassing you in one area move on to another….they can’t be everywhere all the time….LOL. The fact is level scaling is the same thing as politicians wanting to re-distribute wealth….it may sound good but in the end it drags everyone down.

Here you work your butt off for your traits and armor.

In the aspect of leveling and having challenge to lower level areas there needs to be a medium. Granted the rewards have been stepped up for higher level characters playing lower level areas, but what is the logic behind gaining higher level armor and weaponry if it does not serve to protect you in low level areas? What is the logic of being any class level 70 character with level 70 armor and weapons to be killed by any single entity in a level 15-25 area? If you are drunk, or sleeping I could see it happening, but anyone with good game skills should survive. If you have just as difficult a time in lower level areas as higher level areas … what is the point of leveling? Just make everyone zero level. Ya no fun there. It is no fun dying by the hand of a level 17 Skritt if you are 50 levels higher than the Skritt either. The costs of armor repair do not go down with this dynamic leveling system either and or way point travel, so You are likely penalized even more if you die in a lower level area?

Traits are earned through leveling. Traits and armor is what makes you stronger.

This is so Anet can utilize the whole game for future content. They are not going to abandon old zones like other games have.

If the whole point of the system was so that you could play the game with your lower level friends and not make it too easy for them, then why is it forced on you 100% of the time?

This is what you wish down scaling was for.

This is a sandbox style game. Level 80 just means you can play all the content besides heart tasks. Anet want to continuously develop the whole world with new content for all players.

What I hate is when the enemy dies and the poison kills me afterwards. I’m out of fighting mode so I can’t heal myself. Causing me to have to use a waypoint even after winning the fight.

“… Use your 4 skill after getting downed to get yourself up.”

It almost seems like toughness has no effect vs fire or poison.

That’s because it doesn’t. Armor doesn’t affect condition damage.

The game doesn’t always give you that option if the fight is already over.

Every war has logistics! Bases need to be setup. Army corp of engineers need materials to build bridges.

These things still need to be done in Orr.

Oh, sure Mister “war has logistics”.

I’ll just walk up to Zhaitan and demand that he position his troops more efficiently. And while I’m at it, I’ll invite him to a cup of tea with the Queen and see if we can work this out peacefully like civilized folks.

Look kid. Orr IS Zhaitan’s base. He doesn’t need to set up nothing. His Risen work differently from you and me.
The majority of our bases on Orr are bound to be captured when our guard laxes. All we can do is PUSH BACK. Now get “logistics” nonsense out of your head and get PUSHING.

I wan’t talking about Zhaitan’s base. Allies bases could use reinforcement. As of right now they are just camps. Their needs to be clear battlefield lines that move based on who’s winning.

Orr is the heartland of the undead corruption. of course the enemies are everywhere.
there ar elots of events towards the war efforts.
Hearts can only be done once and therefore only offer content once, so packing orr full with events is the only sensible option, since most people spend the majority of their time there.

Some heart tasks can be repeated but no credit is given out. That could be changed in Orr to things like, supplying cannon ammunition.

Also I said it the top of the post the Heart Icon would be something else.

only to feel like i’am bein punished for reaching 80.only a couple areas where you can be 80 and 3/4 of the map you can’t .i know you want us to down scale when we go to lower zones but i dont see how that is fair .you say you can play with some one just starting out well they can makea new toon to play with lower level friend dont punish me for getting to 80 3/4 of the map i cant be 80 i hate that

Levels are just a arbitrary number once you hit the cap. It’s your armor and traits that make you stronger.

The game has downscaling because the world is meant to be dynamic. Anet wants to develop lower level zones for all players.

Think of 80 as when the game becomes a sandbox. Go anywhere and play what you want.

Orr is one of the worst zones because it’s nothing but fighting. The enemy are just spread out everywhere doing nothing but standing around. DE’s are only mindless mobs that don’t seem to have any plan for attack.

I dress my thief in skimpy form fitting armor. It seems more realistic to me for a thief to move quietly like a ninja and have a full field of vision.

Understand Orr is a war zone and hearts don’t make since. But why do they have the be a heart icon, in war zones? The icon could be anything there (skull a cross bones). And the tasks could be geared towards the war effort.

And the option for players near you to join the endless quest. A little pop up button with the option to join the endless quest insistence will appear to them. When you enter the it.

After completing the hearts in towns. Endless quests should
become available. They would work similar to the endless
quests in ESS.

Endless quests will work through the personal story. You first pickup
your endless quest in the open world. Go two the location to enter
story mode to play the quest. Party members could join in these quests
but it will be harder.

Finding Endless quest:
*Finding a bounty poster on the wall like it the game Red Dead Redemption.
*NPC’s needs you to find a item they lost in the world.
*hostage rescue, NPC’s family asks you to rescue a family member.
*Treasure Hunting, starts by finding a clue that leads to anther clue
and so on. Until you find the treasure. Good quest for the pirates in game.
*"Monster Hunter" game like quests

*history and lore
*Small event
*npc’s doing everyday activities
*mini-games to be finished
*Endless individual quests (bounties, lost and found, kidnappings, treasure) This could part of the story quests.

The reason we don’t allow this is to prevent players from having 50 free inventory slots.

I way just thinking, if you all can limit how many times we can send a mail.

Then you can write code that can limit the number of mails we can send our alts. And make it so we have to answer those mails before we can send more mail to our alts.

It’s so they can increase damage and such for players and mobs alike without rendering all the level 80 gear useless.

In fact upscaling will give them a much better handling of class balance and objectives they want to achieve because its placed in the designs hands, and not a player who will always try to overcome the design. Think as if the level cap was 50 and WvW scaled to 80. It would keep WvW more balanced.

I don’t need a new zone to gank trash mobs in. Challenge is in the current 80 zones, and ignored because there simply isn’t any challenge vs reward in the World loot tables.

Is this your answer to a challenge. Content that that forces you into a party. Is this how you want all new zones?

I soloed a Champion Reef Shark in Southsun, yesterday. It was plenty of challenge. Challenge for me is doing something alone that should take more people. Too bad I don’t feel the need to repeat it, as it dropped nothing. Couple of silver event payoff, no more than I get collecting eggs for the Chef there.

I don’t want new zones. I want the loot table fixed for Champions and Vets, and DEs in the high level zones made attractive enough to bother with. New “high level” zones with the same abysmal challenge vs reward matrix would be just more fail.

Champion’s are to easy to kite in circle’s. This should nerfed.

Traits in GW are not the same as in GW2. You could freely experiment with new builds and play styles. Even with a 20 lvl as the cap you can change tactics.

It not like that in GW2. Changing traits is a gold sink. It’s not the same game.

Have you done level 80 stuff at 60? People tried that at Lost Shores and got spanked without a group to carry them.

Since it would be a phony level 100 zone, loots would have to be capped at 80, craft nodes unchanged from 80 zones. What would be the benefit of this? I’d rather see some love given to Southsun.

It is a terrible idea.

People are not doing the harder content in the world because there is no reward for it. Having an Ersatz level 100 zone won’t cure that. Hard content has to be worth doing.

Drops would be at your real level, Ascended items will be usable and obtainable in new zone.

No it’s not a good idea. As for what then. Did you not play Guild Wars? We had FoW, UW, DoA, Urzogs Warren, The Deep, Toomb of the Primeavl Kings, the last herofant. All top level zones all challenging.

Think about the way played a level 70-80 zone. You had to play it slower, level up or you die.

level 80 zones don’t have a increased challenge. Just more enemies and mobs to fight.

Raising the level cap in expansion zones. Will make players over come challenges by making them feel like they are getting stronger in the zone. They will go back to there normal after leaving the new zone.

You will have to level up to 100 in each new expansion. This is so every new expansion provides new challenges without gating content from level 80s.

Also this is Not GW! MMO work differently then a co-op game. You have Only Two Chooses.

Wait. Just make more lvl 1-80 zones. And leave the scalping to ANet. And as far as I’ve seen there is no real story in the zones. If there is I’ve not made any of it out.

1-80 zones are great for your alts. But you will not feel the challenge with your main.

The story is the event chains. How they work. Why they are happening.

Since when is there an order? When I enter a level 40-50 zone at 60 I complete it any which way I want. I’ve never experienced a story that doesn’t make sense because I’m somehow hearing it out of order. Each area is it’s own enclosed story. Maybe there is an event that crosses over the areas that tells a story, but that’s also its own thing.

So again, how does this make sense?

Replay the game and visit each heart in order. You rushing through it to fast.

I believe the krux of his idea is that if there are new level 100 zones then players will become level 100. Which means everything else in the game gets easier.

If you upscale then things get harder in that area and the rest of the game remains just as difficult.

This make no sense. You are always the level of the area, not just zone, you are in. So I don’t understand this concept of you’re only that level while you’re there. Of course you’re only that level while you’re there, no other zones have those levels.

What exactly is the point of 81-100? Do you need 20 more trait points to truly genericize your build?

Why not just more level 80 areas with level 81-83 mobs, like Southsun Shores?

Players will skip over the new zones. Playing the story out of order. If they are all level 80.

Levels are needed to guid player through the zone properly.

If you have 80 as the level cap. Anet will still need to provide new more challenging content. Upscaling by leveling in new zone is the answer.

Here’s why new zones can’t be level 80. Players will run through then and finish content out of order.

This idea levels you up above 80 only in the new zone. It’s your Zone level. This is repeated for every new expansion.

I want to here what people think of this idea.

One Account wide access-able bag. In your inventory that has with 4 slots. Anything you put in there will be seen by all Alts.

Or you could just go back to the bank eventually.

People are parking alts at the banks. They shouldn’t need to do that because of Anet laziness.

I’m pretty sure the reason is because you can’t send mail to yourself. Mail isn’t sent to your characters its sent to your account. If you tried to send mail to your alt it would just show up in your mailbox right there. I’m also fairly certain they want you to go to the bank. They don’t want it to be nearly that simple, so you have to make a choice. Do I hold on to this thing and continue playing, or do I bring it to the bank, or do I just et rid of it and continue playing. Is it worth it to me right now?

A message that pops up does say (you can not send mail to yourself). I think alts sharing a email is Anet taking a shortcut and not thing to prevent us from doing things.

If we can’t do this them I have anther idea.

New zones that are unrelated will upscale your level at a different rate. When progressing through them. Your upscaled level in the zone is what your leveling up.

The reason this idea is needed is to guide the player through the new zones.

The cap is still 80. All new content will be playable and challenging to all level 80s

Level 81-100 are only for up-scaling players. You level up to level 100 normally in the new zone. But when exiting the expansion zone your level goes back to level 80.

This idea insures new content is always challenging and available to all level 80 players. And so players progress through the zone.

There can also be expanded traits that only work in level 80-100 zones.

Why are we not allow to do this?

Even though the bank is shared between all of our alts. I would still want the ability to send alts items and money through the mail. It saves time and bank space when I’m out in the game world.

This feature is in other MMO’s and creates no problems.

Is Magic Find even worth it now?

Players must not know how MF really works. Maybe it works better when used with other things like magic field on armor.
