All the gem store skins should be account-bound. And I would like the to be copyable. To use for on alt’s too.
That would sorta kill any profits wouldn’t it, you know…the way they keep the game open?
Who is going to give Anet money to buy the same same twice. Unless there a idiot.
I also want the male and female versions to be included in the sale. I look at it as buying a set.
Anet wants more profits then they release more sets of clothing. That include male and female versions.
Well…good luck with that I guess.
You like getting ripped off?
Toons don’t buy gem store clothing for personal use. People buy them! I own the skins I bought. And, should be able to have all my alts ware them.
But a one time use is kind of obviously a ONE time use, no? It’s like whining over an apple only being a one time eating..
And also hello and welcome to the real world, it’s spelled money and having cash to run the show. Nobody forced you to buy the skin (they are by NO means the best looking ones in the game) and once you did you should have read up about them on the wiki and understood what you bought.
Finally thank you for actually buying something and supporting the game and rhus allowing Anet to give us more content.
People don’t buy skins for a one time use. They buy skins once because it costs money. If they buy it again it’s with in-game money.
All the gem store skins should be account-bound. And I would like the to be copyable. To use for on alt’s too.

I don’t even know how to reply to this, but I’ll try.
Why should they? Why should they make cosmetic items that are one of the only ways to keep this game running for EVERYONE, able to be worn by all your toons? There is zero incentive to do that. It won’t make people want to buy more, it does the opposite. They have sales all the time to incentivize items, to make people want to buy. While it may be a super cuddly nice happy thing to do, it doesn’t make any business sense. They want to keep the servers open, they want people to play their game, to share their world. Your wants and desires do enter the equation, but going account bound on gemstore cosmetics will hurt the game in the long run.Regardless of whether you think it’s a not too bright move for someone to buy something for each of their toons, people will do it. They have been doing it and will continue to do it. And when they start releasing even more and better looking cosmetic items into the gemstore, they will do it more. Look at gem prices, they continue to climb, because people buy stuff. If there ever comes a time when you start seeing gem prices drop down into the 100 for 1 gold area, you will see a sale or a special occasion. It’s how they monetize the game. And it works.
Most people will only buy cosmetic items once. And Anet can make money selling each skin once by making them All account bound.
This is not a Free To Play MMO. Anet makes money 3 ways. (Game Sales, Gem Sales, Future Expansions). The game is not monetized solely through the gem store.
All the gem store skins should be account-bound. And I would like the to be copyable. To use for on alt’s too.

I have the mad king armor to and I to think the ravens should be darker.
I’m for cosmetic mounts or a mostly cosmetic mounts. With a few cool-down skills to help players escape from small mobs.
Some think players on mounts skip over content and don’t contribute to the waypoint gold sink.
*But I think players using waypoints skip over more content then mounts. Because if you are on a mount, you are exploring the world. And the time it takes to go from one zone to the next is lost income.
Yet people still have yet to figure out that Developers of this game put out interviews Vlog, Blogs, update articles that express the ideas they are working towards. What is more amusing is the fact that they have stated that Guild Halls and Housing are being worked on and is projected to be put into the game. Yet we still have these threads that go on and on about something that is already being worked on and implemented into the game.
It is amazing that a majority of our population has lasted this long. Try to do research before making useless threads. thanks
Thats a good thing. Lets ANet know where in time and effort this should lie. Also lets them know what players want in this feature. I hope 10 threads a day pop up on this topic.
Are you confused, have you been hit on the head recently. Arena Net already knows players want this, that is why they are ALREADY PUTTING IT IN THE GAME maybe the message is to complex ? Is English not a primary Language ? I am truly trying to figure out how you figure that making repeated useless post about the same old thing that has been made over 40 times before is going to do anything. Maybe you should read the Terms of Service, creating duplicate threads will not get an suggestion put into the game, rather having one thread suggesting something with multiple supporters will be looked at before any other.
I am surprised Moderators don’t ban half the users for repeating threads, let alone threads repeating about a feature that is already said to be put into the game and is already on it’s way. Your theory is not well thought out poorly communicated and lacks any cohesion anyhow, not to mention the lack of intuitive thought process to realize that this is a useless thread as the Feature of Guild Halls and Housing are being put into the game already.
I just wanted to comment on this. Anet promised the mini games would be available at launch. They maybe 90% done but it’s taking longer then they thought to finish them.
People know Anet wants to do houses and guild halls. But it’s not high on their priority right now. And if the game fails it never will be on their priority.
Really I can go out and kill a rabbit does that mean 10 rabbits are going to attack me?
I can go out and shot a bear, does that mean the three bears around are going to attack me?
Not saying your a child but your response leads me to believe that you have never really done any kind of actual hunting in the real world. In fact when I am firing off a Rifle at a animal the other animals in the surrounding area tend to run. Hell ask any one that hunts deer, if they miss the kill shot and graze the Buck, he doesn’t turn towards you and try and maul you… he runs. So I guess your right this world is immersion breaking it doesn’t act like the real world at all. Thanks for your assumptive nature showing through, glad you could comment. Now your breaking my Immersion please leave.
If you kill 10 of the same predators in a group and 11th one does nothing. Does that make since. It doesn’t attack you or run away in fear.
You just like it that Anet made it too easy for you to capture a pet.
If I had my way, you could only capture a veteran.

I haven’t played a Ranger yet. So all these green animals I see everywhere are for Rangers to train?
I don’t like the fact I can’t attack the green animals. It breaks immersion when i kill every enemy in a area but one green enemy.
Are you serious, I am sick of the Immersion defense, it is a fall back to I don’t like this no real good argument to be had so I will say Immersion breaking. No not all green animals are tamable by rangers only the ones that have Juvenile by their name. The only other green un-kill-able animals in the game are the ones in towns and cities.
People need to stop using Immersion as an excuse to get rid of something they don’t agree with or like, if your mind is that fragile to let a small little thing like that destroy your game experience you probably need to either
A: grow up
B: Stop playing the game
Sounds like your the kid.
Enemies should attack you when you kill there own kind. Not just stand there doing nothing.
Hi everyone,
We have seen some chat about other games (rift in this case) in these forums. As always, we would like to ask you to refrain, as much as possible, to speak about other games or make comparisons. Ideas are always welcome.
Thanks for your understanding. Let the feedback flow
Any comparisons to R### I made was only show that Anet already has some of the core mechanics to emulate what they have done.
Anet’s single player missions are instance based in the open world. Like that other games houses are in their open world.
I haven’t played a Ranger yet. So all these green animals I see everywhere are for Rangers to train?

I agree with for the fact that Black & White are not colors.
Ahueheueh, white is in fact a color, although it lacks a “hue.” White as we see it is the mergence of all wavelengths of the color spectrum. Black however is not a color, as it does not emit light.
Black is still called a color though because who wants to be that anal about colors
White is not a color! I understand how light works a little better then you.
Light is both particle and wave at the same time. You can not see the wave properties of light.
This is the same with everything else in the universe. When you don’t observe a object it is a wave to you. When you do observe a object you see to as particles.
The frame work is already 50% laid for Rift style houses.
Remember how in story mode had insistence’s in the open world.
I agree with for the fact that Black & White are not colors.
ANet haven’t forgotten to allow people to trade. Its not in the game by design. Possibly because trade spam was insane in GW1, or possibly just because they are mean – who knows.
The removal of trade spam alone justifies ANET not including a trade window or COD mail. I’ve yet to see any justification for having a trade window that makes sense, except for greedy people who want to avoid the TP fees.
“You might want to sell a item to specific person.”
C.O.D. is needed to send things friends list, alts, guild-mates, on just as a gift for to someone.
How is COD mail needed to send someone a gift ?
I don’t kwow. Buy one get free
I like the way houses work in Rift. They take a piece of the open world and turn it into a insistence house. Works much like the single player missions in this game. So it wouldn’t be to hard for Anet to do something similar.
More SPvP Modes!
Some of these modes may not work well with the current classes. But if
Anet changes the skills of classes to fit each type of game mode. Like they
did for the for the Halloween and Wintersday SPvP games. Then that is not
a problem.
deathmatch
capture the flag
relic run “GW mode”
Add to the list if you have any SPvP mode ideas.
Vistas are the easy jumping puzzles. Hard jumping puzzles don’t count in map completion.
The reward in the main chest could be based on how will the dungeons are explored.
They just need a 3rd neutral party to send to that authorizes the mail. an NPc could do it, and ANet can keep track of that NPC’s records to fix any bugs it makes or to locate scammers. 3 step process could simply be:
1. Player A puts item in and requested amount/item
2. Player B can only put in the requested amount/item and no more/less. Ofc, soul/account bound items cannot be traded here.
3. NPC asks both players to double check the items/offers (via tool tip or look at the numbers) and asks them 1 more time to confirm. -> Goes through, record for ANET, scam proof unless player A or B are simply blind. As for C.O.D, no thank you. We have too many fees as is.
C.O.D isn’t a tax. A tax could be put on it, if Anet wanted too.
I like your idea for normal trades. Be if I wanted to charge someone I know fee for that item (less then TP). I should be able to do so.
Cash on demand
When mailing item, they have to pay through the mail within a amount of time. Before they can accept the item.
Can we also have nights in the game? Maybe over there at Anet, the sky is bright from the city light. But in Tyria we still use torches.
Cosmetic skins from the gem store should be accountbound and re-buy-able for free.
This also means removing them from the MF.
C.O.D. is needed to send things friends list, alts, guild-mates, on just as a gift for to someone. There is no need to tax it.
There are other ways to stop gold sellers and their bots.
You don’t get to say your idea for mounts is “only cosmetic” and then provide a list of healing and swiftness skills to use while on them. Why would your mount need a healing skill, anyway? Can you use mounts to escape from combat? If so, it’s clearly not purely cosmetic — and if not, your health restores itself out of combat anyhow.
You current healing skill is needed for escaping small groups of enemies on a mount.
The mount will be 80% cosmetic. Not a full cosmetic mount because of longer swiftness skill, class based skill and ability to were armor. This extra stuff is needed to help people escape from combat. But there will still be a chance of getting knocked down if run through a mob or strong enemy.
Any area in the game world could be turned into a instance if Anet wanted to. We know this from SP mode.
Creating areas in each zone that can be instanced for a Guild War can be done. As someone above suggested. There needs to be a way for guild leaders to challenge each other or get to know each other (mabe a all GL only map chat).
Only if they are on your friends list or within your guild.
I like the idea. There can also be Quaggan villages with a destroyer theme.
Why do you need mounts when we have waypoints? I don’t get it. Do you want to show that you are superior to others or you are simply 12 years old and you think that mounts are “cool”?
Waypoints bypass content more then mounts. People who are riding mounts are exploring the whole world.
Mounts don’t have to be these things bigger then the player. Like in other MMo’s. The broom stick in the next patch may be a experiment to see if Anet can find some middle ground on this issue.
Anther idea is to give tonics more use by giving them the some these abilities. And to use your normal armor stats with the tonics.
IMO cosmetic mounts or mounts that serve a purpose are pointless, if you want to have a look at the world of tyria and not use waypoints, then walk
They would not be 100% cosmetic mounts. It would have some abilities to help it move around the map. Without a speed increase over swiftness.
*less chance of a knockdown
*Longer Swiftness buff with long cooldown.
*One unique ability for every class on a mount (too escape small groups of enemies)
*food can still make mount move a little faster like with running.
These mounts don’t need to follow the look of other mounts in other mmo’s. Tyria doesn’t need horses because it’s not lore friendly. Or huge mounts larger then the rider.
I liked seeing the aurora in Elder scrolls.
There are alot of players from other games playing GW2. They want mounts so bad that they all well leave the game. If there is not atleast cosmetic mounts.
So? Let them leave then! GW1 never had mounts and there’s absolutely no reason for GW2 to have them either just because other games have them as well.
In GW the world was insistence based. It wouldn’t matter how many people played the game. You could always find a few people to play with or use the npc’s.
GW2 is a real MMO. It requires a larger game base them GW.
I transmuted the starter headpiece on my Sylvari and the particle effect is no longer their.
I think waypoints may actually be hurting the game.
Many people think mounts bypass content. But from what I’ve seen waypoints bypass more content. If you are using a mount, your exploring the whole world and not skip over zones.
I’l have to agree with your Waypoint arguement in a certain sense, that they dont invoke a sense of travel or invite you to do so, however the fact of the matter is that they are already in the game. Adding mounts at this stage wouldnt really be usefull at all, and before someone suggesst removing WP in favor of mounts? i think the Community backlash would be outragous if they did that.
I’m not suggesting removing waypoints. Both waypoints and cosmetic mounts could be in the game. If any speed increase from mounts is a temporary buff with a long cooldown.
The broom stick in the patch will already do most of the things in this post. It’s not that much of a leap to let players use armor and swiftness on the broom stick.
There are alot of players from other games playing GW2. They want mounts so bad that they all well leave the game. If there is not atleast cosmetic mounts.

Mounts would most likely mess up the economy as well. Since mounts would mean less people using waypoints, which means players having more money, which means price increases in the TP. So if you support the idea of mounts coming you GW2, you support inflation in the TP.
Don’t support inflation in the TP… :L
If they are on a mount, they are not fighting. They may be losing money having to travel across more then one zone on a mount. And they may play a few events as they travel through lower level zones.
No its not different, Trawl through the hundreds of posts on this subject.
With no details on how to implement cosmetic mounts.
Lets keep to the topic here. How to have cosmetic mount, but make them attractive for players from other games.
Anet, there is no other post geared just towards cosmetic mount. Don’t merge these good ideas with that other normal mount post.
Yes anther one,
But it’s different because, it’s only about cosmetic mounts. With a few abilities that only give a small temporary speed boost in emergencies.
People that want mounts want a small advantage. Even if it’s not a big one. Also it keeps them around playing the game more.
I think mounts should just be Cosmetic. If Anet adds does add them to
the game. Here are some ideas that everyone might agree with.
*Mounts should have normal movement speed
*Swiftness on mount is the same as running swiftness.
*Increase all classes normal running/mount speed to that of a thief without swiftness.
*use food speed buffs with mounts (ex. candy corn)
*No mounts around bank, TP, MF, Crafting in cities/towns.
*No combat mounts (except costume brawl)
*animatic exit mount in events and no mount zones
*pets and mini’s run behind you. But pets don’t attack until you exit mount.
*mounts should vaporize/materialize, not just disappear/appear.
*use mount with armor
Mount Non combat abilities
*galloping, Longer swiftness 25s with 5 min cool-down.
*one non-combat skill for class to use on mount.
*Jumping on mount
*Healing on mount
*costume brawl mode on/off ability
Mount emotes
*horse dancing (search Mittens Romney), /dance
You want to mount a Asura? If that’s your thing, I guess.
I recently came across this image of someone with multiple legendary precursors. I am in disbelief, as it appears that those who were saying players are controlling the precursor market were correct.
What does everyone think about this matter?
He has 100 gold but didn’t buy extra bank space.
Here’s some things WoW did wrong.
*Creating a huge gear treadmill.
*New content only access-able to the hardcore players who have played the game for years.
*Gate old content, too few players in low mid level zones. While GW2 has
*level scaling, keeps old content relevant.
*Highest level easy to reach. This ensures new content can be enjoyed by all.
*a dynamic world that I think Anet well improve on.Items missing from the list:
-watering-down of unique roles
-the destruction of the support role (which allowed people who suck at DPS to still raid with their friends if they knew how to take orders)
-the philosophy of “homogenization” which turned everyone into a generic “melee, ranged, tank, or healer — now with slightly different names to their abilities!”
Raids might be in the new guild missions in the open world. When it comes out later this year.
But, I like it that there is no need for a healer. And the idea of a traditional tank is stupid.
There is support in the game but players are not rewarded for it yet. The support role could be improved through new non-healing skills.

A title sure, and the champion idea is pretty much like the commander stuff. Makes it a bit too confusing, I’d stick with “level 80”, nice and easy.
The number 80 leads to elitism. To many players think they have to now play in 80 zones and fractals. Then they ask were is the end game? The whole world is your endgame I think to myself.
My idea, When you hit 80 you get a veteran icon and the numbers disappear. Champion is then a earn-able symbol/title that can be given and taken away. Through WvW and PvP achievements.
Create a necklaces that can be sold for 2 silver.
My idea in anther post was to have players at 80 lose their level number. And replace it with a Veteran symbol or Champion symbol.
All 80s will have a veteran symbol insead of the number 80.
Champion Symbol will then be given to the best level 80 WvW players.
Their will have to be 3 versions of a champion symbol.
*one that shows your a WvW champion
*one that shows your a PvE champion (your idea could be part of this)
*one that shows both
